I go by the 13-sign 'real solar zodiac'. It is much more representative of the actual positions of the sun and stars, and based on this, I am a Sagittarius. :) I have always considered it the most fitting by far, long before I discovered that it is actually applicable to me.

    Les Bijoux

This was a lab frimp, as rose always sends me in the other direction. In the imp: Apple juice! Hardcore apple juice with a touch of rose. Fresh on skin: Ahh, there's the honey mixed in, and the apple is settling down. Drydown: For a very brief moment, peed on honey. Uh... x_x But the urine is gone in moments. Now I smell honey and rose, with an underlying note of something I can't quite reach to identify. I think I tested this once before, on a day where it and everything else I tried ended as soap. It was almost instant then, and so far, not a whiff of it this time. Now the peach shows up, but it's faded. Is it disappearing already? It's been about ten minutes. No, it's sticking around. Rose, honey and peach. I don't like rose, am neutral on peach, and the honey just isn't that interesting. Not as bad as soap, (except for that certain brief moment,) but I remain utterly unimpressed. I need to start a swaps pile.

    Vixen

This was the first thing I sampled from my first imp set. I actually picked this one to try first because my hopes were higher for the rest, and I didn't want to be let down on my first BPAL. The first time I put it on, I got... Honestly, it just smelled very flat, brown, and slightly sweet. Very uninteresting, and kind of confusing. It washed off easily and I went on to more fun scents. The second (and third) time, intense patchouli. Dirty, sharp in a way that isn't citrusy, and a tiny bit sweet still. It does not wash off, at all, I've gone over my wrist with soap, with alcohol, and it's still there. Unfortunately. It doesn't smell as dirty the third time as it did the second time, at least.

    Aquatics

I have a few very specific questions here, and only one's on-topic. (It is the important one though. I'm not afraid to go into this project with some unknowns. I learn best through trial-and-error!) What ocean-y scent might match best with dolphins? If I tried to do the trick with working perfume oils into wood, how might things be affected by using a light, cool scent like aquatics tend to be? Even less relatedly, could anyone point me in the direction of a medium-small to small, realistic-looking dolphin pendent that would look nice with wooden beads beside it? If anyone wants to be loved forever by a stranger, it would be amazing if the dolphin itself were unfinished wood, so I could work the oil into that specifically. But I have a feeling that's not possible unless I meet a very good carver that takes requests. And could anyone could tell me how much oil I would need to work into the wood? I know it's a lot. There was info about diluting it where I read about using oil on unfinished wood, but I'll only do that if it takes more than an imps worth. I don't like to wear aquatics on my skin, so I might as well use it up, right? And even though I don't wear them as perfume, I want to make sure my dolphin is smell-able. Of course it depends on the size of what's being oiled, but a few rough estimates for different sizes would be helpful.

    Bewitched

I can really only say one thing about this: Yum. Not a foody yum, just a gorgeous yum. On me, it doesn't really change over time. It starts out as a soft, rounded berry with something deeper underneath. And it just deepens over time. There is just this tiniest hint of powder in the musk, lurking underneath, and it just serves to make it even more gorgeous. I would like a bit more tea, but that's about it. I love this scent.

    Snake Oil

A brand new imp of Snake Oil. I love vanilla, but I'm aware that this is supposed to be much better with age, so I'm not going to let myself be too disappointed if it doesn't work out the first time. In the bottle, smells like vanilla incense while drinking coke. There's just this sharpness that reminds me of cola type sodas. Same thing on the wrists wet. Just seems to get warmer on the drydown, and the coke 'note' is milder. Lovely, but not something particularly distinctive. The spiciness of the Snake Oil has increased over the last half hour since I put it on. I'm still liking it, but not loving it. I'd much rather have Bewitched, which is doing it's second run on my inner elbow. (As you can probably tell, I like foody scents. But, I don't want to smell like a food. I just love sweetness and warmth and yumminess, I don't want to smell... tasty. I'm already bite-sized, I don't want to tempt anyone!) The sharpness is back, full-force. Less coke-like now, much more spicy. Not sure how much longer it's been. O hai thar Vanilla Coke. How I have missed you over the years. You're very tasty, but I don't want to smell like you. All the incensey notes have died down. It's Vanilla Coke, heavy on the vanilla. Is it my nose or my chemistry that's weird? I did get a bit of a coke note at first, but this is just overwhelmingly so. My mom smelled it after I mentioned it, but it wasn't her first thought. Verdict: Confusing. But I'll try it again in a couple months.

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

I got this as a frimp in my first order of six imps, and although I've already tried a few, this is my first write-up. In the imp: Candy. A very specific kind of candy that I just can't place, like something I had as a kid and have forgotten about. Definitely something fruit-flavored. Wet on wrist: Instantly warmer, instantly spicier, and applely. Mmmm. I'd wanted something with cinnamon, but I didn't get any. But, mmm, cinnamon, mixed with other spices. Stays the same as it dries. I asked my mom to sniff, and she got 'drugstore aisle,' but couldn't place why. I said spices, and she realized it was potpourri she was thinking of. She doesn't smell any of the apple. We both got 'Christmas time' from it. Unfortunately, it seems to be giving me a headache, despite that I'm enjoying it. I don't want to wash it off, but I will. Verdict: Probably not a keeper. Maybe I'll see how it smells on fabric or in an oil burner.
