I love the scent of candy corn, so I sought after this blend for a while. I managed to get myself 1.5 bottles eventually, and I LOVE it.
However, I don't get much candy corn. Maybe for a second, if heavily applied, and still in the wet stage.
But what do I get? REAL pumpkin pie, with fresh whipped cream on it. Not fakey pumpkin... real delicious pumpkin pie *swoon*
I would love to see this one make a comeback for the 2009 season!

Bottle: Sweet and spiked with gin. Reminds me of Blue Fire or Golden Wave.
Wet: Ahhh that's sweet. Oh, fruity. No bad sour or weird notes. Pretty true to the bottle. Reminds me of a softer, less tropical and slightly less gin-soaked Blue Fire. I'm loving it.
Dry: It stays pretty true but softens up ever so slightly. Its sweet, fruity and very summery, pretty and slightly hyper. A backup-worthy keeper for me!

This one starts out super sweet, as it is in the bottle. Its a marshmallow Peep that hits you over the head, but once on the skin it lightens into a soft-spun marshmallow fluff with a hint of dandelion on the dry-down.
It reminds me very much of Velvet Unicorn. Its pink, sweet, and soft. I feel the need to have at least 2 back ups of this. Its just so happy and gently sweet. The downside is that it fades of of me very fast and has low throw once it dries down so I really have to dump a lot of it on.

I have little new to add, but as this is one of my all-time favorites, I feel the need to review Midway. Its my ultimate comfort scent- warm soft clouds of spun sugar and the faintest breezes of funnel cake in a humid summer night. Its not too sweet though, and not very candy-ish. Just warm, vanilla and coconut infused cotton candy with powdered sugar and a little drop of real butter.
The only downside is that this one has low throw and a fast fade on me. I literally have to apply an imps worth at a time or else layer it with something else to sugar it up. (this is a great scent for layering with a lot of other BPALs, I find).

I was crossing my fingers we would get a Strawberry Moon for June, so I was incredibly stoked to see my wish fulfilled! I ordered 2 bottles without hesitation and now I'm doing my first full wear.
Me likeeey!
Ok, but I like all things strawberry, so its not surprising. This however, to me, isn't very strawberry-ish at all. It smells like a wet warm June morning, with dewy grass and flowers just beginning to heat up under the sun. There is sweetness and humidity, coupled with a slight tartness of fresh strawberry juice. In the background, what I really smell is the dandelion and grass coming into play- its warm and musty and almost hay-like, yet sweet and milky. Utterly brilliant!
There is just the faintest hint of sweet wet sugar on sweet berries that you get in Sugar Moon, but it is not as sharp or prominent. This manages to stay soft without going powdery, soapy, plasticy, or fading too fast. It manages to be sweet without without being candy. At one point, during the initial drydown, I had feared it was about to go soapy as the floral came into play, but it didn't. It is a very warm and late spring-becoming summer scent. Though I don't get much vanilla, I get a slight whiff of vanilla flowers, not actual vanilla bean. And its slight. Its just a great blend that is so *June*.
love it.

As a fan of such gin blends as Swank, Twenty-One, Golden Wave and Blue Fire, I felt safe in ordering a bottle of Velvet Pink Kitty unsniffed. I surely do not regret it! Its the crisp effervescent sort of cool I find in all of those scents, but in a fun and flirty form. Its strawberry cream, Shirley Temples and ice cold martinis together as one happy blend. A perfect scent for summer!

I am so glad to see that I'm not the only person who was instantly reminded of Midway! Well, maybe not instantly. When first applied and wet, its a silly happy candy scent. Lime Skittles, Cherry Starburst and strawberry Jolly Ranchers. Nice, a bit sweet, but very fun. Then upon the dry down, MIDWAY! Oh how I love Midway, and I was not expecting to discover a nice alternate with this scent, but I did. It dries down to a creamy, sweet cotton candy with whiffs of rainbow candy ever so slightly blended in. Its a total backup-worthy winner for me!

CCNow Customer Service
huh? I don't understand. My bank said my card was approved. I emailed the lab address at the same time, so hopefully they will have a better clarification. I feel bad because I was a bit snippy in the email, but that was addressed to CCNow not to the lab.

WTF??? Has anyone else had this problem?
The email address that I used is the same one I've used for ALL of my orders from BPAL and BPTP (13 total), and there has never been a problem with any of them.
I had the EXACT same thing happen! So I figured I made some kind of error and ordered again, on my other card. I then received a more disturbing email.
CCNow has received Order Number 175-24-2212 which cannot be processed. This order has been cancelled.
The customer's credit card was not charged.
The reason for the cancellation is:
This order was placed using a stolen credit card number.

So I called my bank and they told me BOTH cards had the charges authorized and that there were no theft alerts or locks on either card. What a mess. I emailed the CCNow addy it came from and the answers@blackphoenixalchemylab.com to see what wis up. How strange and annoying. I hope both charges were indeed canceled so I didn't place dupe orders.
Blackberry Jam & Scones
in Retail Exclusive Oils

This one is so realistic! It begins as sweet sticky blackberry preserves and then its followed by a blast of butter and a subtle hint of something baked. Just how a scone with a slathering of butter and blackberry jam would really smell. Brilliant!
It reminds me most of Eat Me, if I had to make a comparison. Mostly for the fact that currants and blackberry can be similar to my nose.
