    Rose Red

Possibly my favorite BPAL yet. I haven't tried too many but I honestly dont see it ever falling out of my top 10. I have the 2008 version. It *is* the perfect rose scent. It's probably the purest scent I've ever smelled out of a bottle that's a lot like walking near a rose bush in the early dawn or fresh after a light rain. London & Pride which I tried after dont even come close to halfway comparing to this scent. It reminded me why I liked rose scented things as a little girl before i for a decade or so decided that anything girly was not for me (finally got out of that phase). I have a backup 5ml bottle in the mail. If it comes out in 09, I will be ordering that version too! This has apparently a *lot* of throw on me, according to my roommate, which makes me quite happy so i can use it sparingly and still get a LOT of scent.

    London

I may have been having an "off" nose day when I scented this, so I'll be trying it again in a few weeks for sure. Wet and In the imp- roses + an odd organically bitter/sour note that I pick up as something like vinegar. Dry - it takes a long time for the vinegar esque note to fade, but then it's a pretty rose scent with a bit of a citrus note underlying. The vinegar like scent is what really makes me go, whut? That and every BPAL i've tried in the past week has done something super-strange while wet. So, i'll hopefully revisit this later, right now it's borderline non-even-likable.

    Pride

Pride starts out a very powdery rose on me, which I like but might be a little old-ladyish really. As it dries down it becomes less powdery, and more rose, but it's still a bit powdery and very soft in the end. This does not have a lot of throw on me, but it does last, In short: Good, but no reason to keep more than an imp around when I have Rose Red 08.

    Love-In-Idleness

In the imp- floral chemical powdery scent. Wet - it's floral, but there's a much stronger scent on me that's non -floral. it reminds me of something i smell at a chinese food store (this is not a good thing) I'm just downright shocked what this is on me as. Thankfully, there's almost no throw or the throw is a much lighter floral that's kinda pretty if that's what i'm smelling. Drydown - this is one of those smells eh at first, and then settles into something nice ( a trend i've noticed with a lot of BPAL for me). not much throw (but i also test lightly), but it's like smelling a handful of wildflowers now, with a lot of pansies in the mix. It's soft but not super soft, and I'll probably wear it some other time to see if the initial wet scent isn't a bit better. In short: The drydown is suprizingly nice, but definately worth putting on in time to dry before going out.

What should I expect at Will-Call?

Okay, so...I hope someone knows. I live in NC and I'm thinking I may get out to the GA Will Call as it's the only location that's even drivable for me. Are there limits on how many of a Will-Call scent you can get? If so, what are they (1x person? 2x person? Dont try to buy like 50 of them?) I ask because after a fairly large # of the girls in my friends circle up the east coast have gotten introduced to BPAL, we all want a bottle, and maybe a backup too, but I am the only person who has any chance of being able to go in person to this shindig to get them.
