  1. Unseelie...should be called Unbelievable because this stuff is phemonomal. It smells of misty woods, dark secrets and pain. Very earthy and floral...probably the most green floral I've smelled in a long time. The herbs prevent the smell from becoming too overpowering. It has a bit of sweetness to it as well...simply put it's one of my top 5 BPAL scents and I most definitely will be buying a bottle of it next order :P

  2. Oh I love love love Undertow. I could wax poetic for ages about this. I love aquatic scents but they ususally are a bit too light for me but with Undertow it's very dark, Vaugely minty on me but the Juniper really jumps out more then anything I think. The lotus gives it a nice touch as well...makes it more elegant. Definitely try it out if you want something more watery-feeling in nature but not quite so "bright"

  3. Hello Ladies and Gents.

Even though it is quite cold outside here in good olde new york city I am looking toward spring and was wondering if maybe we could start a thread as to what scents would be best for this season. That way people have a quick reference and then they can head into the reviews section to learn more.

    What do you think?

  4. I swapped for a sample of this and am really glade I did. This was a beautifully warm and delicious scent. The almonds really came up on me...most definitely a not scent for the weak. Very boozy and hedonistic, this is a scent made for reveling in your more carnal side. Of long sweaty...well you follow.

The buttercream saves this scent from being TOTALLY wicked however.

  5. Inital Thoughts

It smells like a clean crisp wind before the storm. Very very fresh.

    After wearing it

Oh so very nice but it fades SO quickly!! It didn't smell citrusy at all on me, more clean. It really has captured the scent you get right before a storm. Conjures up images of standing on a cliff with the wind blowing hard and watching the waves crash beneath your feet.

I just wish it vibed completely with my body chemistry..somethings a bit off. I'll give it one more chance.

  6. Intial thoughts:

Mmm. Smells like juicy raspberries!!! Very very fruity

    After wearing it

Okay so orginially I was like "It smells like raspberrries...that's okay I guess" but now it's settled in a bit and YUM. It's very very sweet but not sickeningly so...very strong so a little goes a long way. It's defintely a red and bold scent...one will get noticed.

Haen't tested out its effects on males yet but I intend to! I can barely make out the wine and I think that's what gives most of this scent its oomph.

  7. Ah the huge ass order. I have not made one of these yet (just put an order for 2 sets of Imps ears) but whenever the V-day scents arrive I'll be buying them as well as a nice 5 ML of Canivale, Unseelie, Snake Oil and whatever else strikes my fancy.

  8. Oh I so wanted to love this truly I did. Smells wonderfully fall and cinnamonish in the bottle and once put on but after it settled it smelled like a stale sugar cookie on me and the smell (thankfully) faded after a relatively short time. I seem to have the same issue that Koumori has...Cinammon tends to be the number one note one can smell on me. So up for swap it goes.

I do agree with Sarah that it smells a bit like Lush's Skinny Dip shower gel so if you're a fan of that you might want to try layering the two!

  9. Inital thoughts:

Mmm vanilla. But it smells like rich vanilla and not the sort of vanilla you fine at Bath & Body Works or something. Very spicy but not overpowerful. I'd probably wear this when I want to make an entrance...I definitely like it.

    After wearing it

I have gotten asked out more times today then I have in the past couple of months. I blame Snake Oil...this stuff is like a guy magnet!! On me you can barely smell the vanilla but it's more spicy and rich. I wish I knew what sort of spices though!! The vanilla scent tapers off after awhile though so if you love love vanilla that stays prominent you might want to get another scent

    I recommend it highly 8)

  10. Created to invoke the ancient Greek deities of dreams. On the shores of the ocean, somewhere in the West, they dwell behind their gates of horn and ivory. Soporific, dark and unfathomable: a somnambular blend of deep lavender, white sandalwood, jasmine, bergamot and mugwort.

    Inital Thoughts:
If Neil Gaiman's Sandman had a scent this would be it. I smell it and it invokes the colour midnight blue and silver. Sort of like Lush's Lavender Snowflower ballistic but not. The sandalwood and mugwort really stands out in my mind. It's a scent one would like to cuddle up I think. I can't way to test it out.

    After Wearing it:
Have you guys ever smelled Johnson & Johnson's Lavender Baby Powder? Oneiroi smells exactly like that. It's very elusive as well...I smell Lavender as the prominent note but there's other layers that I can't quite get...mugwort is definitely strong. This scemt is very subtle and understated orginally I didn't think it was going to last but I would turn my head and get the faintest wiff of it. Like a memory....it's a very nice scent.

  11. The name translates to "The beautiful woman without mercy", and is the title of an old French court poem that was later revamped by John Keats. A bewitching seductive scene, rife with mystery and foreboding.

    Inital thoughts:
POWER. Rich and heady. It smells like what I'd imagine Mata Hari (a famous exotic dancer who was accused by the French for spying for the Germans during WWI) would wear. Definitely strong...the scent lingers even after I've shut the bottle. It's a confident smell. I can't make out what exactly is in it...I think maybe cloves. It sort of smells like freshner. Doubt I'll be keeping it which is a shame I wanted to like it!

    After wearing it:
It smells like cinnamon roses. The strongness definitely wears off after a couple of mintues (maybe 15) and the scent of roses kicks in. Even later then that it smells cinnamon with a hint of roseyness. I still stand by the fact that its a confident smell but more feminine. As in "I'm a lady who is beautiful and elegant but I'm not afraid to kick your ass if need be." Still not sure if I'm keeping it though.

  12. Bright, intoxicating, hectic notes masking a twisted, corrupted core: sweet wild berry, spicy carnation and heliotrope layered over deep amber and musk.

    Initial thoughts:
Definitely a bright scent! I can smell the musk and berry more then anyting. It reminds me a lot of Cirque du Soliel...playful and yet you can sense that there's more. It seems very much a deep scent if that makes any sense.

    After wearing it:
So far the strongest scent as in it's stayed on me for over 10 hours without losing any of its potency whatsoever. The amber in this is very strong on me and reminds me a bit of Victoria's Secret Amber Romance but not as flowery. I'd classify this as a very warm scent with just a bit of sweetness. If it had a look it would be Butter Pecan ice cream. I can't really smell any of the berry though. I love this though...recommended if you like warm scents and especially if you adore amber.
