Beanman & Beanwoman Prepare to Attack the Vagina

When I first apply it, it's all orange blossom and ylang ylang. As it dries, it turns into a very well-blended scent, so that the only individual note I can pick out is the orange blossom. The end result is something creamy and clean-smelling, sort of like lotion, tinged with a little orange blossom.

Milk Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea Ganache Truffle

Mostly lemon-y tea, with the chocolate being disappointingly faint. While I can distinctly smell the matcha in the bottle, it turns into a more generic tea note on my skin, maybe because of how the lemon amps. I'm also getting the artificial Pledge vibe that a few other reviewers have gotten.

    The Knave of Hearts

This was quite a pleasant surprise. Normally I amp rose badly, but here it behaves, blending in nicely with the blackcurrant and buttery pastry notes. Yummy and worth a bottle purchase.

    Miskatonic University

Sadly, I don't get any Irish coffee or dusty tomes out of this. The one note I get is chemical floor polish. (Though it's kind of impressive how accurately it's replicated!)

    Bastet

I amp cardamom, apparently, as that's the dominant note I get here. It's backed by a little amber, almond, and lotus. Overall, the spice gives Bastet a hot feel, quite appropriate for an Egyptian goddess.

    Bewitched

Bewitched was the scent that made me realize I amp sage. It's basically sage and heavy dark musk on me. Disappointing, as I'd been hoping for something like the Republic of Tea's Blackberry Sage.
  7. coraline

    Centzon Totochtin

I don't know what's cooler than divine, drunken bunnies. But unfortunately, my skin chemistry doesn't get along with Centzon Totochtin. The individual notes end up melding into something resembling plastic, waxy candy.

    No. 93 Engine

I can't pick out the individual notes, and I don't even know what some of them smell like. All I know is that No. 93 Engine smells like clean copper metal to me, spiked with something like pepper. It's basically steampunk captured in a bottle, very impressive.

    Eat Me

Eat Me turns rather plastic-y on me, and I suspect that my skin chemistry isn't reacting well to the vanilla. It's a shame; I'm a foody person, so this scent would've been otherwise perfect for me. Edit: For whatever reason, my skin chemistry seems to have changed since my original review. I tried another imp of Eat Me, hoping it would work this time. Sure enough, the plastic is completely gone! Just tart currants and light, sweet vanilla cake. Yum.

    Machu Picchu

The tropical fruit smells rather like pineapple, coupled with greenery (I can't detect the flowers or tropical dampness, though). What surprised me about Machu Picchu, however, was the amber. It is indeed rich, golden, and just plain beautiful. It makes me want to check out other amber scents offered by the Lab.

    Wolf's Heart

I must confess I don't know what dragon's blood smells like. In any case, Wolf's Heart is almost medicinal, but not enough to be off-putting. It's warm, spicy, a little sweet, with what seems to be cinnamon, herbs, and cherry, and its vibe is definitely comforting.
  12. coraline

    Blood Kiss

Clove and vetiver amp on me, so that's all I really smell, aside from a little bit of cherry. Disappointing, as I'd hoped to also detect the other notes in the blend.
  13. coraline

    Depraved

I received Depraved as a frimp. The apricot was undetectable on me, as the patchouli amped and became the scarily pungent scent of unwashed hippies. I had to wash it off.
  14. coraline

    Persephone

In the imp, Persephone smells pretty, youthful, and well-balanced--the sweetness of the rose combined with the tart juiciness of the pomegranate. But on my skin, the rose amps up like the Hulk and goes on a rampage, while pomegranate flees for its life. So I'm left with SN rose.

    Bliss

I thought Bliss would smell like a chocolate bar, but on me it has a dense, cakey feel, like a rich chocolate brownie. That's pretty much an apt representation of bliss, all right!
