    San Cristóbal de la Habana

Slightly soapy, salty aquatic and white florals. I smell a light sweetness from the fruit, but not really much fruit at all, and I don't get any tobacco. A light, clean, primarily floral scent on my skin.

    Caldarium

I think I'm getting mostly mulberry and dry, herbal rosemary, which reminds me of being in the craft store around Christmas time and being overloaded with berry scented candles and dry, herbal wreaths. Even smells kind of waxy/plasticy on me. The berry doesn't remind me of cranberry or red currant, as those are more tart and juicy to me. This is strangely dry and fake-y.

    The Great London Spaghetti Hunt

I was hoping for something like Miskatonic University, cocoa powder and moist, sweet cake. This blend isn't sweet or creamy to me, though. The coffee is dry and a little on the burnt smelling side of things, and there's a dry pastry and dusty, powdery quality here. As it dries down, I'm getting the dry, sharp cinnamon that others have mentioned. Not sweet enough for me, and I wanted more creamy coffee and cake.

    Coconut Meat

Coconut oil used for cooking, washed out with a sheer, white musk type of scent. Turns plasticy in the drydown and doesn't last more than a half hour. I'm not liking most of the lab's newer single note blends.

    Libra 2016

The white musk made this a gamble for me, because I don't really like its sharp, perfumey, chemical qualities. It often smells sheer and washes out a scent for me. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happens with Libra. The white musk is perfumey, cheap and slightly soapy. There's sweet strawberry and warm, toasty benzoin, but they're smothered in sharp musk. It gives it a chemical soup scent. I don't really get any mallow, vanilla or wood. Soapy, overly musky strawberry.

    Wild Woman with Unicorn

Of the Unicorn is my patchouli love of the Unicorns series. I'm glad that I just tracked down a decant of Wild Woman, because the patchouli and greenery in it is kind of funky (with undertones of cedar hamster bedding and sweaty BO). I don't smell floral with it, but it has a sour green grass scent to it. Green grass and animalic, sweaty patchouli. The drydown after a half hour has a damp, black dirt scent to it that I enjoy, and loses some of the sweatiness, but the green grass scent is still very sharp and sour to me. And then, around the one hour mark, this has mostly disappeared.

    Unicorn and Ram

The wooly musk and cashmere, I think, are giving this an overall feel of baby powder and warm musk. It does have a fabric quality to it, like smelling a dry, fuzzy, clean sweater. I don't smell any leather or oudh, but there's a little spiciness from the cardamom in the drydown. Too powdery for me.

    Reapers Gonna Reap

The sandalwood goes straight to baby powder on me and the musk smells like a sharp white musk. Very perfumey. Vanilla is dry and barely there. Sort of like a muskier, more powdery Morocco. Clean and powdery, not one of my favorites.

    A Little More Tea

The tea mostly smells like sweet lemon to me, with hints of honey and dry, biscuit-y cookies. I don't get any cream, and it's not as sweet as I was expecting. Lemon and biscuits with a hint of honey.

O The Joy of My Spirit!

A hint of pine when first applied, but it vanishes within seconds and I'm left with nothing but hazelnut. It's dry, woody, delicately sweet, warm nuttiness... Not quite Nutella, because the cocoa absolute doesn't want to mix well through the rest of the scent, but definitely a sugary hazelnut spread type of scent with chocolatey qualities. I really like this. I want to layer it with chocolate blends. ETA: Ordered a bottle after enjoying my decant and wound up swapping the bottle away. It's powdery, very dry and reminds me of sandalwood. The cocoa absolute sticks to the bottom of the bottle and no amount of shaking has made it loosen or disperse through the rest of the scent. Too dry and woody for me.

    The Wolf and the Rattlesnake

Very woody and earthy. Has a note that reminds me of the patchouli in Of the Unicorn, and then the patchouli in Hekaerge (kind of a chocolatey patchouli with funky BO edge). Something like sweet pine needles. A dry wood that makes me think of craft store wreaths and potpourri. Maybe red patchouli, balsam, and some sort of citrus, because the drydown reminds me so much of Hekaerge? I'm guessing this is woods, red patchouli, maybe some pine and citrus. Some musk. Mostly reminds me of craft store wreaths and potpourri. Not a favorite for me.

    Spider Witch

The hazelnut, patchouli and vanilla give off a sweet, nutty, chocolatey-earthy scent. The red musk adds some slinky warmth but isn't overpowering or highly noticeable (and I'm one who usually winds up with red musk single note). The leather is well worn, a suede-like brown leather. I like this, but it's very light on me. I have to press my nose close to my wrist to smell it, which is surprising, given its heavy note list. The drydown is a warm, toasty, nutty sweetness with soft leather. Earthy, but cozy and comforting rather than dark.

    Texare

In the bottle and on my skin at first, this reminded me of Treat #1. Fruity candy with glittering, sour sugar crystals on it. The bright, sweet, fun notes fade pretty quickly, though, and just add a hint of sweet cherry/berry candy underneath lots of 'wooly vanilla husk.' It really does smell like soft, wooly yarn, very fuzzy, warm and dry, with a dry, clean, delicately sweet vanilla muskiness. Makes me think of clean laundry and vanilla musk with a hint of cherry gummi candies. Airy and clean with a nice sweetness.

    Circus Bear

This is awful on my skin. Reminds me of the rose and pastry in Knave of Hearts, but there's something chemical and off about the whole thing. I think the gardenia might be going very musky/perfumey and has a burnt rubber edge to it, which I sometimes get from white florals like gardenia and tuberose. The floral smells soured. The drydown is cringe-worthy on me. Sour, sharp white florals, burnt rubber, burnt coffee, a hint of horse manure, sour rose, and buttery croissants... This was a scrubber for me. Overwhelmingly strong and just smells all wrong on my skin.

    The Library of John Dee

Dusty incense crushed to powder, crumbling, dried roses, and hints of old leather, vanilla-y old books, and sweet beeswax. I also keep thinking that I smell a lime tinged men's cologne in this. Mostly it's dusty, sweet roses and drips of candle wax in an old library. Turns a little too powdery on me in the drydown, but I do like this. It's romantic, smelling of roses, papers and candles, but sadly covered in dust, aged, and no longer used...

    Outlaw

The sweet root beer float of Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener with just a hint of black, slightly smoky leather. Lots of spicy, fizzy root beer and a little bit of vanilla. SSS is more vanilla than this, though; this is a ton of root beer. Edit: I've done a few full wears of this now and it's huge, loud, strong ROOT BEER for about three hours and then settles into a dreamy black leather and vanilla that reminds me of Le Pere Fouettard. It even almost smells like a hint of black licorice meshed into the leather. I ordered two bottles...

    The Great Python Snake

Starts off smelling like a dark, sharp men's cologne. Smoky black musk, aquatic cologne, damp wood. As it dries down, it starts to smell of blackened woods and spices to me. Actually, it is reminding me a lot of 'Lovers with Rutting Cats,' which had notes of 'vanilla, red ginger, oakmoss, palm date and out.' Spice, chalky vanilla sweetness, dry wood, and hints of smoky men's cologne and dark musk. I also keep catching whiffs of something aquatic. Smoky, dark, cologne-like.

    Funerary Papyri

So sweet that it's cloying on me, with a watery, green bamboo type scent from the papyrus. Slightly soapy. The overall effect is, unfortunately, really cheap smelling on me, like a vanilla scented glade plug-in. Burnt sugar, strangely chemical and harshly soapy.

    Stonehenge at Dusk

Very much the scent that wafts through your windows in summer when everyone in the neighborhood is mowing their lawns. Sweet, fresh, green grass with hints of mowed over flowers and dandelions. Smells so realistically like the sap from grass and flowers. I love this scent.

    Connecting Flight

I like coffee scents that smell sweet and creamy; this smells like dried, burnt coffee grounds and something like sour, rusty metal on me. Cinnamon is usually strong on my skin, but I can't pick it out here. It's very unpleasant on my skin.

    Lilith and Sekhmet

Smells so much like Gluhwein on me, which is nice, because I miss Gluhwein. Warm, very sweet, dark, fruity red wine (sweet, dark, grapey) with sweet cinnamon. The amber in this isn't turning to full on baby powder on me, but is adding a soft, warm, thick, golden, vanilla-amber undertone to the blend. It reminds me of the amber in Thomas Sharpe. Spiced, sweet, dark, grapey wine and rich vanilla-amber. Love.

    Little Lady Frankenstein

I expected this to just be soapy, unbearable ozone, but it isn't. The ozone is a clean, salty note, but not going full on laundry soap and overtaking the blend, and I agree with other reviews in that there's a cool, smooth, crisp, watery green note that makes me think of bamboo in this. Overall, it's a nice, watery sweetness that kind of reminds me of the original Banded Sea Snake. Green bamboo, cool and refreshing, smooth water, a hint of creamy vanilla, clean ozone... I am liking almost all of my Lilith decants. I thought that I would be safe from this, because I hate ozone, but now I'm wanting a full bottle of this one too. After an hour, it's like green bamboo, cool water, soapy ozone and salt tinged vanilla. Refreshing and clean with a delicate sweetness. Fans of Banded Sea Snake, Lyonesse or any of the bamboo heavy blends might also love this.

    Motherhood

I have tried to wear this one several times now. I don't get anything like gummi bears or lavender, and actually find that this isn't anywhere near sweet enough for me. It's the dark, slinky musk of Snake Oil (that always does smell actually oily to me, like motor oil and baby oil) and a very powdery bubblegum. It smells powdery and chalky, like powder coated bubblegum. It waffles somewhere between spearmint gum and pink bubblegum on my skin, and I wish that it were sweeter. I get along well with a lot of the Snake Oil blends (like the Snake Pit), but this one falls flat on me.

    Plush Viscera

When I first wore this, it immediately reminded me of Lilith Victoria and the scent of walking into a LUSH shop. A very natural, clean, smooth lavender, but with lots of sweet notes around it. The strawberry smells like creamy, pink candy fluff. I can pick out dark, dry, bitter, sharp , incensey dragon's blood and myrrh if I really try, but that's smothered pretty well under the pink sweetness and lavender. It's just a hint of something dark and dangerous (a whiff of black incense smoke) underneath the lavender and sweetness.

    Heel

Jasmine and honeysuckle swirled together with a hint of very soft, cool greenery that makes me think of green flower stems in a florist's fridge. The florals smell yellowy, damp, sweet, and kind of musty and wilted on my skin. The drydown has a very strong, weedy, sour jasmine happening in it. Damp and a bit off on my skin, but I rarely ever like jasmine notes, and this is definitely a strong jasmine blend.
