    Aizen-Myoo

    In the imp: Very lush, kinda fruity. Hard to really get a sense of it, but I have higher hopes for this than for Szepasszony. On, wet: Can't really separate out the notes, particularly as I do not actually know what yuzu, kaki or mikan smell like, but it's still really quite lush, I like it. 5 minutes: It's wafting off my arm every now and then, quite a strong smell but not in a bad way. It's... an orchard, fruit and flowers both. Not smelling much in the way of the black tea, but it's a good scent, not too sweet, not too floral. 20 minutes: Pretty much the same. This one is a keeper, for sure. Makes me feel exotic. 1 hour+: I can't... stop... smelling... my arm... @_@ It's pretty faded by now, but still gives me a lovely yummy tingle when I sniff. ^^; So good!

    Empyreal Mist

    In the imp: Tea and citrus and sweet. On, wet: About the same, really. Some floral, maybe, peeking out. Later: It's hard to really describe this one. Definitely a fresh/green tea sort of scent, with a little floral, a little sweetness. Almost fruity, but not quite. It's really nice, whatever it is. ;

    Jack

    In the imp: Pumpkin pie. I like the smell of pumpkin pie, but I'm not sure I want to smell like it. Still I do like nutmeg, and I would hate to just toss it without trying it (since I know no one will want it in trade). On, wet: Oh yeah, that thar is pumpkin pie. 5 minutes: Well, from a distance I can kinda smell a peach undertone, which is very nice. But close up? Pumpkin pie. ^^; We'll see if the peach comes out more in an hour or two, like the leather did in Severin. If it does, I might even keep the imp. 1 hour: Alas, the peach note has remained elusive. Which is a real pity, because it could have made the scent interesting in a good way, instead of "interesting."

    International Shipping Info+Questions

    A ) Don't use UPS B ) Use UPS Express rather than standard service. Basically, if you use the more expensive UPS service, they don't nail you with brokerage charges. They get their money either way. I personally refuse to use UPS, and if an etailer will not give me any other shipping options, I refuse to shop with them. I got tired of receiving packages worth $30 and having to pay $20 in brokerage charges.

    UPS always charges horrendous brokerage fees, on anything. You do, of course, have to pay GST on anything you import, and doing the paperwork for those charges is what UPS gouges for. But my BPAL order (I've only received one direct from the lab, though I have more pending) was handled by Canada Post.

    International Shipping Info+Questions

    The first post in this topic says that international orders are shipped out once a week, but I have not seen any international shipping notices since June 3rd, and all of those were for orders placed on April 1-4. With all the domestic types getting click n'ships for their April 24th orders, I do kinda wonder where all the international shipping notices for April 5th and beyond are.

    Butch yet not manly scents?

    I'll add another vote for Perversion. Though, technically I suppose I'm most attracted to androgynes, not butches. But I'm one of the femmiest femmes one is likely to meet, so, gotta be worth something. ^^

    You're right, of course.

    International Shipping Info+Questions

    That's kinda my point. What needs to be more obvious on the site is the big difference between domestic and international processing times. All orders are not taking in excess of 45 days, only international orders are. There are good reasons for this, I'm not saying it's unfair, what I'm saying is that it would be nice to see that difference reflected in the information on the front page.

    International Shipping Info+Questions

    I wouldn't. Domestic orders are taking close to 45, international over 60. I think two weeks and more of difference does merit a specific mention on the site. I don't mind the delay, but I would have liked to know before placing an order. *shrug*

    What Scent Is This?

    I do apologise. The headache really started to set in around that point in the thread, and I should have just logged off and gone back to bed with some painkillers.

    What Scent Is This?

    Sorry, I shouldn't post when my head hurts this much. It does make me especially cranky.

    What Scent Is This?

    (edited for coherency) My point is, I am not allergic to clove, I am not allergic to apricot, and yet this imp is causing me intense physical pain. It smells woody, sweet/sour/rotting, and exactly like patchouli, whether it IS patchouli or not. No bite of clove at all, no apricot, just rotting WOOD. I'm allergic to frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, cedar, sandalwood... well, you get the idea. Woody/incense scents. Clove has never been one of my problem scents, I wear pure clove essential oil without problems. Likewise fruits. And yet, here this imp is, supposedly clove and apricot, and WHAM, stabbing pain behind my right eye.

    What Scent Is This?

    As I said in the initial post, I've tried it several times over the course of a couple weeks, and nothing has changed. I know what clove smells like. I know what patchouli smells like. Especially since I am very allergic to patchouli. I CANNOT try it on my skin because I am allergic.

    What Scent Is This?

    The colour is fairly pale, nondescript, really. As for other notes, I can't detect any. Because I'm so sensitive to patchouli (among other scents), if it's in a blend it just jumps right out and overwhelms everything else. ... Gives me a fierce headache, too. ^^;;

    What Scent Is This?

    I know a lot of BPAL newbies wonder if they've gotten a mislabelled imp, but I just can't help it. Even sniffing it right from the imp, all I smell in this March Hare imp is PATCHOULI. There shouldn't even be any patchouli in March Hare. I've let it sit for weeks, I've tried at different times in my hormone cycle, but every time, all I get is the horrible stench of patchouli from this imp. And since patchouli is one of the scents I'm allergic to, I haven't been able to try it on my skin since the first time (and that first time led to a lot of badness). Any ideas? ^^;
