    Camay Soap fragrance.

Oh, geez, SAFEGUARD! I remember being allergic to that. I'm so glad that someone on here knows Camay. If I ever find any BPAL reminiscent of it, I'll let you know.

    Aquatics

On my list are about 20 Aquatics to try, but it's so difficult to garner an idea of what they smell like. I need NOTES, or practical comparisons -- certain soaps or shampoos, etc. Yes, it's lovely that someone thinks it smells like a seaside village, but my idea of that scent could be quite different. Literary ideas and emotional transportation are important when purchasing a perfume, don't get me wrong, but... Does anyone know if any of the aquatics resemble White Rain's Ocean Mist conditioner? That has a fragrance from heaven.

    Any Amouage fans?

NEAT; I'm glad someone else out there is familiar with it. It's somewhat obscure. Parfums Raffy (online shop) might ship it to you in Ireland. The price is just outrageous, in general, though...that's what stops me from wearing it very often. It's also not exactly an everyday scent, though sometimes, I'll put a bit on, anyway. I'd be happy to even just find a BPAL that vaguely reminds me of the incensey-base portion, since I don't notice much florals in Amouage, anyway. Have you tried Cathedral or Sri Lanka? I wonder if they're at all similar.

    Any Amouage fans?

Do there happen to be any other Amouage fans on here? Obviously, Amouage Gold is the epitome of a scent for me, and it has changed the way I've looked at fragrance forever (Omani history and culture will fascinate any lover of perfume), but...it's encouraged me that perhaps, I might actually enjoy some of BPAL's more Eastern incense-y blends. I hate cinnamon and pumpkin pie scents, though, and anything heavy on the patchouli just isn't my speed. If ginger or rosemary or lavender (allergy) is present, I'm out, too. As you can tell, my nose is a picky customer. Here are the notes of my favorite one (oddly enough, I don't usually like rose or lily of the valley, but in this blend, I'm utterly sold): Top notes: Rock rose, Lily of the Valley, silver frankincense Heart notes: Myrrh, orris, jasmine Base notes: Ambergris, civet, musk, cedar, sandalwood Might there be some BPAL you would recommend, along these lines?
  5. I'm new to woodsy scents as perfumes, aside from the sandalwood cologne my Father always used to wear. Of course, I know pine from Christmas, and the smell of our neighborhood fireplaces in the crisp winter air, but I don't know which type of wood that'd be. I'm trying to find a scent more reminiscent of California forests...Sequoias, Redwoods, the giant fern forest up by Gold Bluffs beach. The only real other dealbeaker would be if it had icky cinnamon in it, or a poignant ginger note, which I'm not fond of. Oh, and no loud patchouli. Otherwise, all recommendations are welcome. If you happen to know a BPAL that reminds you of New England fireplaces, as well...by all means, please recommend that, too.

    Camay Soap fragrance.

How would you describe the floral, romantic scent of Camay? Any similar BPAL?

A BPAL like my shampoo, conditioner, gel & hair products

I'm looking for a BPAL fragrance for my very first imp pack that might be reminiscent of Prell shampoo. I believe it was a mix of mainly citrus and anise with some jasmine and lavender, over a base of warm musk, and cedarwood. Anything come to mind? Especially if you are familiar with the scent.
  8. Doc Constantine is sheer musk. It is very bright and kind of smells like someone brewing something in the woods. I wouldn't say light woods necessarily because to me the wood part is like pine needle tea being made outside over a cedarwood fire. But it is a really nice musk fragrance to me. Light in spirit. Thanks! I'll give it a go.
  9. What about a moderate, white woods scent mixed over a musk? Any of those?

Thank you! My Husband came up with it, and it stuck. Haha.

NEAT, thank you so much. Machu Pichu and Manila aren't...too foody/fruity, are they? My olfactory organs would not be pleased.
  12. I've done some preliminary searches, but only found dupes for "Amazing Grace" and "Pure Grace" and "Falling in Love". I wear Baby Grace quite often, and would love a dupe, or something very similar. The notes are listed on one site as, "Poppy, Green Accord, Pink Mimosa, Pepper, Creamy White Woods and musk", and on another as, "Poppy, Pink Mimosa, White Musk". I'm guessing those three are the predominant notes. Most of the other BPALs with Mimosa had tons of other florals. I'd describe Baby Grace as a very unique, soft, SLIGHTLY powdery (*NOT* baby powder scented), non-floral, non-spicy, non-citrus smell, with a hint of white musk. Not quite oceanic/aquatic or too woodsy/masculine either. The closest thing I can compare it to is Dreft baby detergent, or the smell of a laundromat dulled down with a ton of musk and white woods. Forgive my unsophisticated nose - I am new to the world of BPAL. Does anyone own this, perchance?

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

Speaking of White Diamonds, does anyone have a dupe for that? My Mother-in-Law loves it, and I'd love to surprise her with it.

The "Curl Amplifier". Sorry, I should've specified. The bottle looks like this: http://www.strawberrynet.com/images/products/05017493104.jpg
