    The Zieba Tree

In the imp: perfume-y. Floral with a fruity edge and some musk. Wet: a bit grassy in a wonderful way, with a bit more of that citrus coming out, very present florals and muskiness. Dry: Boo. I wish this smelled the same dry as it did wet, I was loving that grass. Way too heady for me.

    Verdandi

In the imp: YUM! Hello, gorgeous green apple! Yup, apple and herbs, just like the description. I do slightly get that foreboding dark amber underneath, though. Not a bad thing. Wet: More complex. The presence of the herbs is starting to even out with that of the apple. Very fresh, very green. Goodness, this is lovely. Grassy around the edges. I've used DKNY Be Delicious in the past and in the weit stage this is reminiscent of that but a bit more grown up to me. The amber's starting to warm things. Dry: Less sharp, warmer with increasing development of the herbs and amber. More like slightly spiced apples now I get a vibe that this will fade quickly, though, so probably not a bottle purchase.

    Lorelei

Unfortunately I can't even bring myself to try this on my skin. In the imp it's just sour to me, bad sour, like milk gone bad. Boo

    Marquise de Merteuil

In the imp: Oh my. Pretty. Kind of perfume-y, but I'm intrigued. There's something familiar here. Wet: I get a tiny whiff of that peach, but mostly just floral, and not in a bad way. This is a ladylike, clean, fresh floral to me. There's a bit of a powdery edge to it...maybe that's the vetiver? I'm kinda surprised at how much I like this as I'm usually far more drawn to scents that smell fruitier to me as opposed to floral. Dry: Not much different than wet. This scent is so interesting! I'm really glad I got to try it, and it's certainly on my bottle maybe list. Update: Well, no bottle of this for me. As soon as I walked in the room with this on the BF said I smelled like a funeral home! :pinch: Oh well. There are so many scents to choose from, I'm really confident that I'll be able to find at least one that I like and that he likes on me

    Imp

In the imp: Golden. Warm, with a tinge of fruit. Honeyed (that'd probably be the amber) peaches. Autumn-y. Wet: Ooh, there's that patchouli. I don't know about this one as strong patchouli is not my thing. Starting to get a bit old lady-ish to my nose. Dry: The patchouli has calmed down some but I'm still not a fan. I don't hate it, but it's just not for me. Oh well!

    Schrodinger's Cat

My first review of my very first BPAL scent! I just got my first bunch and this is the first one I'm trying. OK, here goes: In the bottle: Sweet, tart citrus cut with something I can't place. Maybe the moss or the lavender? I saw a review that mentioned "fizzy" and I'm totally getting that. Effervescent. Not nearly as overpowering as I was expecting given the description. This is a good start--it is so easy for citrus scents to smell like something you'd clean the floors with and this does not, not one bit. Wet: A more floral tone is starting to come out slightly. To me this seems almost unisex, which isn't a bad thing. It's complex. I like that the citrus I'm smelling is a blend, not one citrus note sticking out over the others. Lavender is not my favorite so I'm glad I'm not really getting that. Starting to get that little edge of mint. Dry: Softer. Less tart, but still bright. I really, really like this so far--I had a strong inkling that I might; I love citrus-based scents. Never did pick up on any chocolate though! My guy is the real test. He's got a sensitive nose and it's easy for some scents to give him a headache. I think I'll definitely use up this imp and it's definitely got bottle potential. I'm hoping the scent won't fade too quickly. Edit: Well, this doesn't last as long on me as I'd like so far, but I'm still pretty enamored with it and my guy didn't mind it. Score!
