    Midnight on the Midway (2006)

Midnight on The Midway- Sugary. Turns to soap quickly. At least my wrist smells clean.

    The Candy Butcher 2006

The Candy Butcher - Chocolate with plastic beneath. It smells like something crawly, sharp plastic legs. Beth did a little too good of a job evoking the imagery here. I'm afraid. A little too scary of a scent for me. Could it be the 'plastic' is the cream note? My fiance rather liked this scent on me. But not so much with me. There are other chocolate scents I prefer over it, rather.

    The Phantom Calliope

Phantom Calliope - Reminds me strongly of *Nanshe. Very much incense-ish. I think I prefer Nanshe. *description for "Nanshe" -Nanshe is part of BPAL's Somnium collection, created to aid and abet sleep and dreams. Nanshe "opens up psychic sensitivity during sleep and aids in the understanding and correct interpretation of portents and symbols."

    Black Moon

Black Moon - Strange floral. Nothing spectacular. I could pick out the cucumber note before I even opened the imp, it was the first to waft to my nose as I picked up the vial. Sweet. Reminds me of Mott's Apple sauce. My skin amps all the notes a little too well. It is strong but light. Strange. Verdict: Swap.

    The Brides of Dracula

It's slightly zangy in the bottle. Sorta hits me hard. "I'm not going to like this." I think to myself. I barely smell anything at all and yet what I do smell kind of has the bite of a lemon to it. You know when your nose retracts because it feels like a citrus scent even if it isn't a citrus scent. Hah. Then I dab some on my wrist. And OMG!!! THIS IS ME! This is my signature scent! This is SO beautiful! It's honey-dipped lilies!! I am honey-dipped lilies, ya know. Lily is my favorite floral and the honey makes it almost drinkable! Jeeze. It's very femme. It's sophisticated ultra-femme. The word "beautiful" keeps coming to mind. It makes me want to hoard bottles of it. If only I wasn't still looking for work, gah! Dry down: It's been a couple of minutes and the lily is slowly disappearing and the honey is brightening. It's becoming more delicious and foody than light-floral ultra femme sophisticate it was when wet. It's "yummy" now. Mm, I wanna lick my wrist. I have NEVER had such instant sparks between my skin chemistry and a single scent. This is really incredible for me. I haven't had a chance to test the throw on it yet. Or know what other people think it smells like on me but so far it reminds me of Brittany Spears "Curious" perfume in a GOOD way... except minus the 'blonde'-ish note. This is like a bundle of light, airy-fairy, honey dipped lily petals. If I could name it? I'd name it LilyHoney Golightly. It has the barely palpable softness of Moon Rose. It's continuing to soften but maybe I've just sucked all the scent up out of my wrist into my nose because I couldn't stop smelling myself all this time. OMG, I can't say this strongly enough- Brides of Dracula is a WINNER! Now to hoard all the bottles I possibly can!!! Must collect the preshhhusss! Ya know what even if this has absolutely no throw and I'm the only one who can smell it on me? I don't care!!! This smells good enough that I would just slather it on to enjoy for myself! hah! This smells like an EXPENSIVE perfume... like 50-60$ perfume and you can get it for 20$ off the bpal website. Shuh-weet! EDIT: It's been about an hour and all I smell is powder now. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo!"

    Lightning

Mmm, I get pure citrusYUM! It is sweet and tangy with lots of ZANG! The ozone bites your senses sharply... in a good way. It's a bit heavy if you apply too much and can give you a headache... a tiny dab will do you.. It lasts a good while without fading... but fades beautifully, becoming softer. my imp lid broke and i ended up accidently pouring this scent on myself. ACK! Headache-city! but um, lol, in moderation it is a keeper. Maybe not 5ml yummy but definitely good for an atmospheric scent. it reminds me vaguely of a sharper meaner Thunderbird... but nothing could be as delicious and complex as Thunderbird.

    Dublin

vial ~ Rose and mist. wet ~ Candied-roses and powdery mist. dry ~ Softer roses sweet to the taste, fairy-roses surrounded by stronger mist. This is a hint of a rose, the mere suggestion of a rose rather than a full scale garden. EDIT: Later it actually warped into (what smelled like to me)a sandalwood and cinnamon mixture. Very pleasant. My fiance asked me to buy a big bottle of it and he generally hates my BPAL obsession.

    Dirty

vial ~ Flowers. Clean flowers. Lightly sweetened clean floral! It somehow brings the image of clean cotton to mind. A clean cotton dress fresh out of the dryer, wrinkle-free and ready to wear. wet ~ Very light plumeria. I can barely smell it at all. Fabric softener! dry ~ Aw, it's gone now. There is a light remnant of a Febreeze-type scent. But it's not nearly as chemical as Febreeze. If flowers could be forced into smelling like fabric softener, I guess this is what they'd end up smelling like. It's funny but it's almost an aquatic note. It smells so airy it nearly becomes watery to me. I wouldn't say it's unpleasant but not something I want to smell like.

    Glasgow

NOTE: I've got to admit I'm still getting over a cold so my sniffer might not be at it's best right now. vial ~ That sweet note I'm smelling which is sort of sweet and soft and 'floral' must be the heather note. But I must not like heather because it comes off as being too sweet for my tastes. It's sort of like a grabby, prickly sweet like a way-too-pink Barbie accessory. I guess 'cloying' is the word I'm searching for. There is a hint of softly-fruity berries(that I like!) buried behind the stinky heather note. But it's just not enough to save this scent for me. I think it'll have to go in my 'swap pile'. Maybe my skin chemistry will surprise me? Overall there is a soapy tinge. wet ~ The heather note is standing out and much to my delight it seems to be 'softening'. dry ~ This is becoming more 'traditional perfumey' on me as it dries. It's becoming lighter and more airy and gently sweet. I'm liking it more now. But now I'm thinking it's too light! Wait, stronger notes of berry are wafting up to me. Oh! Now it's like a berry harvest!! The berry is really blossoming out! I smell bountiful baskets full of ripe, juicy blackberries. Mmm. I just had to be patient and wait for it, silly me! Beth is a genius!!! This is beautiful!(And yummy) It reminde me of the vintage scented My Little Ponies. I had a Vintage pony with bubbles and fluffy hair and she smelled just like this! It's a happy memory. :0) Alas, I don't think I'll find an occasion to wear this pretty scent. It's very lovely and I recommend it highly as the description is perfect for it. But it just isn't 'me' very much. EDIT: Oh no.... now it's gone all to soap on my skin. Definitely a swap imp.

    Nanshe

this smells like pumpkin spice to me.... it is heavenly.... a very incense-heavy scent that is thick and sweet. it does feel like it's opening your mind up to new things.... something psychic. something mystic. pumpkinypie-ish. totally a 5ml purchase for me! it didn't last long but i'm willing to slather. Edit: I forgot to mention that there is something very 'herbal' about this and usually I dislike herbal but this is herbal in a good, yummy foody way... and well, sumptuous comes to mind as a descriptive term.

    Chiroptera

This will sound weird... but... it smelled like friggin' bacon bits on me. In the bottle it smelled like 'flower soup'. But on my skin...... bacon!?!? bizarro.
  12. amberlox

    Thunderbird

This scent is beautiful. Simply beautiful. I was wearing it during a thunderstorm and it lulled me into the most soothing slumber. It's fresh, it's young, it's sweet, it's clean and yummy. This is a truly masterful blend. Those who got to smell it or purchase it are lucky individuals!

    Corazon

I was so excited about the 'chili' note some people had experienced. I was very disappointed when all I got out of it was the 'cherry nyquil' scent someone else was talking about. very saddening... it was beautiful in the bottle and stinky on my skin.
  14. amberlox

    Othello

Othello is wonderful. I really did like it. It's very sexy and unique. That's why it's such a shame about the powdery note that overwhelms the rest of the scent.

    Depraved

It smelled good in the imp but.... It smelled like moldy basement on me.
