    Spellbound

Well, this scent is a tricky one. In the bottle: I find that all of the components in this blend are mixed together equally. A nice, light, summery scent. Wet on skin: Barely any throw. All rose with a hint of the amber. Underneath seems to be a darker smell here, like wet ash. Dry on skin: Completely rose. Very strong throw, which gives the entire room a sickly smell After fifteen minutes: Still almost completely rose, but also somehow a melancholy, gray scent. Throw isn't as strong, thankfully, but still noticeable. A bit more mellow, but the wet ash has returned and the amber and musk aren't there at all. My skin does amp rose very much, though, so on others the other smells might come out more. Overall, I find Spellbound not to my liking. Somehow it makes me think of rotted rose petals on the floor of a house that has burned to the ground. It makes me feel sad and lonely.

    The Phantom Calliope

I do love this scent. In the bottle: Definitely cherry Cola. You can smell the verbena a bit, but no spices. Wet on skin: Still very cherry. You can also detect a scratchy sort of spicy smell. Maybe my skin just hates verbena, but I don't smell it anymore from here on out. Not that I mind. I think the verbena would kind of ruin it. Dry on skin: Very nice. The scratchy spices come through very strongly, so that it's mostly spice with just a hint of fruit. I don't mean that the scratchiness of the spice is unpleasant, by the way, because it's actually very nice and bold. The throw is strongest at this stage. It isn't overpowering, though. After 15 minutes: The scent is the loveliest here. All the scents (except, for whatever reason, the verbena) mingle perfectly to create a deliciously warm perfume. I think it's best for winter or fall, but it could be worn in any season. Also, it did not burn my wrists, but when i brought my wrist to my nose it did make the skin of my nose burn. Overall, I would say that this perfume is daring and powerful but a bit mysterious. It's very sexy and, in my opinion, perfect in every way!
