  1. I adore this - first applied it's sweet cake and some kind of pine note that actually *works*. The pine disappears after a few minutes and I get a vanilla-y snake oil slight winey sweet scent with maybe a hint of champaca? It's delicious :wub2: , am already considering another bottle or 2 - though the man said it smelled like pipe tobacco to him, which is usually what I smell on myself with vanilla blends but this one, not at all, so kinda weird.

ETA: Throw is super light to me even with slathering but very nice. I do not smell cigarette smoke.

  2. This doesn't have as much throw as I expected from the first review, but I think it's very nice! It too reminds me a lot of Goblin, which is also a bit weak on me. I get vanilla patchouli with a the hemp not as strong as Banshee Beat -the strong hemp ruined BB for me. I think this will be nice possibly for layering. I dig it though. :)

  3. First applied all I smelled was rich chocolate and a touch of snake oil. I can't imagine what the released smelled like because the chocolate in this was very strong to me.

As it dries, it's strong Snake Oil with more depth and a bit sweeter, if that makes any sense.

  4. Ohh, liquid Lemonheads for me. Sharp on first application as others have said, but then it dries down to a sweeter lemon with lots of powdered sugar, yum! I would love this as a room scent esp in the kitchen, or even a hand soap, but not so much to wear I think...,

  5. :thud:

Wow. I just got an imp of this from a swap and so happy I was able to score a bottle unsniffed. This is happiness in a bottle. Seriously. Have had a case of the blahs the last few days and this was an instant pick me up. First applied the cotton candy stands out with the fresh grass, and on dry down it becomes a clean, out of the shower, fresh girly scent. Perfect for summer. I really love this one. It is a bit in the realm of Dirty for me in that clean watery way, but in no way is it dryer sheets though I would love to launder my clothes in this.

  6. Definitely gender neutral! I am getting a lot of myrrh on the dry down and I swear I smell sweet clove. Don't notice the other notes or patchouli sticking out at all. A nice scent but not nuts over it - thank you to my angel, a million thanks!

  7. I've never smelled one like this. I agree with the fern reference and the hair spray when first applied. It reminds me of a of a lotion or bath product I've used in the past but can't put my finger on it. Almost a clean smell if that makes sense but not soapy - quite high end. No smoke and the benzoin does seem to be strong in this blend too.

ETA I just decanted this for someone and omg the oil is the most gorgeous blue green color.

  8. First applied I smelled powder immediately and went  but it quickly changes into a sweet slightly citrus pretty amber, and is really lovely. The vanilla I thought I smelled disappears quickly and the spices peak out, but it's still really nice and I think will be great for summer.

ETA Much love to my pick up angel too!

  9. This is such a comforting, foodie scent. I did not get the crushed candy cane, which I liked because I am not crazy about mint in the tub.I got straight up shortbread cookies with a sweet fruity edge but not sour as cranberry can be. This is wonderful to use after a bad day because it's such a warm, happy scent. Very moisturizing and lovely.

  10. Hard for me to pick out the notes in this one, it really is blended nicely. This was the strongest of the salts I have tried so far, which I loved. The yummy earthy scent lingered after that bath, which made me happy. None of the notes slapped me in the face with this one.

  11. Super light throw (surprising when the oil is so dark)and morphs a lot. First applied it is strong fruity ripe slightly sour mango, then morphs first to a fruity perfumey scent, then last becomes fruit/soapy on me. I never got the musk. :( For some reason, it's reminding me of a Caswell Massey soap I've smelled in the past.

  12. Patchouli, golden amber, deep woods, fig, and vetiver.

The lovely samarablackcat frimped me this and I'm finally testing it! First appled, it was strong, dry vetiver and I wasn't loving it (very pretty red oil), but as it dries down it becomes a nice sweet patchouli. I do like this but I think still prefer Goblin when I want a more of a patchouli strong type scent.

  13. Ohh deep glorious thick crimson oil. Heavy red musk - it reminds me a bit of the Soldier minus the anise bit. Dries down very sexy. Love. :wub2:

ETA: Patchouli peeks out on dry down, which I love. Reminds me a bit of a musky Banshee Beat, if that makes sense.

  14. I noticed the bag was not as full as my other bath salts bags. As I went to pour stright from the bag to the tub, a lot more came out than I had intended, at least half the bag. Sadly, even with as much as what got in the tub, the smell was very pretty but not very strong at all. Barely smelled it on me when I got out. :( Smelled a lot like Love's Philosophy to me too.
