  1. BUTTERFLIES, FLOWERS, AND JEWELS ATTENDING
Take the Fair Face of Woman, and Gently Suspending,
With Butterflies, Flowers, and Jewels Attending,
Thus Your Fairy is Made of Most Beautiful Things

Inspired by the moment in time frozen in this photo - my fairy child, laughing and playing amongst gargantuan flowers. An ethereal, iridescent, twilit scent, sparkling with mystery and innocent joy: white patchouli with provence rose, delicate freesia, pink tuberose, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, butterfly musk, vanilla orchid, and delicate spices.

I joined a decant circle for the Lilith blends because I wanted them all, but after reading the reviews, I knew this would be a bottle purchase unsniffed and glad I thought so - I ordered 9/18 and got it today! Now for the review: sophisticated and one of the more commercial smelling BPALs which there aren't a lot of to my nose - and I don't mean it in a negative way at all. I think A LOT of people will like this one, as it's edgy but still not something that a person might freak on and think it's too strong or headshoppy (patchouli component) or anything like that. I wish I could describe it better, but it's absolutely lovely! Balanced perfectly. :wub2:

ETA No notes stick out for me or make a huge presence, it just blends into one gorgeous scent - I can see people picking this for a signature oil! For anyone wondering, I do not smell rose at all.

ETA2: I figured out what this reminds me a bit of- Eternity for Women by CK. The description of that perfume is: A contemporary floral bouquet of freesia, white lily, narcissus and sandalwood.

  2. Bourbon vanilla and 10-year aged frankincense.

I had no idea what to expect out of this but I was still unprepared for it - I swear, it's Lush's American Cream scent in oil form. Drove me nuts for a few mins because I knew I knew the scent - and that's exactly what it is on me! :) I'm so curious to hear other reviews now.
ETA I stink at notes but I swear am getting benzoin like mad from this blend and it's not listed.... Reminds me a bit of Lilith Vs the Giant Crab without the sweet fruit.

Realllly not my thing. :( I ended up selling my bottle.

  3. The first 2 secs applied and still wet (and also when I smell it in the bottle) it's Red Moon 2004 and I wanted to shriek in delight - but it quickly morphs to floral/ozone/lunar on me and fades fast. I love the initial blast of what Red Moon 2004 smelled like, but sadly it's not the same, even though I knew it wouldn't be with the changes in components. I still got a backup bottle just 'cause. :)

  4. Fruity bubblegum! Raspberry? Grape? That's what I smelled when I first dabbed this on my wrist.

About an hour later, the fruity sweetness is still there, but it now has a lovely layer of soft florals and cream over it. I don't see a cream note listed - could this be the yeast from the wine?

    Delicate, wispy and ethereal. LOVE!!!

THIS! I just got around to testing a frimp of this and loved it - was able to get a bottle from ISOs and LOVE this! So glad I was able to find a bottle.

  5. I love this so much. Reminds me a bit of Silver Haired Bat, I don't know why, though, maybe the lightness? Sweet vanilla and there's something sharp that normally would bother me but it doesn't in this. I LOVE IT and want MORE!!!!!!! I could see this being a signature scent for me if I knew I could slather it everyday.

  6. Luna's lovely, pale face crowned by a sliver of umbral shadow and veiled by penumbral shadow: white musk, mugwort, iris, white tea, and silvered yarrow with black amber, Indonesian patchouli, fir resin, and blackcurrant.

This is so gorgeous. I always worry about tea notes and don't usually do well with most lunar oils, but this is so pretty. Thin, clear oil not heavy or resiny, you can smell the tea but it's blended so well I can't pick out notes. Light floral and very light on the resins but it has that lunar scent (if that makes sense!) you get in the moons - it's a happy, sweet smell that reminds me of spring/summer. I think this will be popular. :)
(ETA The dry down is soooo nice, gets more resiny, less floral)

  7. WILF is nag champa-y and headshoppy to me - love it!

    Also, Luna Negra!

I agree with everyone on URD as well.

Feed Me and Fill Me With Pleasure (lupers 2013) is more patchouli - but it has that head shop smell I like. As does Smut, the last 2 yrs - though that is more musk - not so much champa.

Snake Charmer has that new agey vibe going on to me too. :)

Khajuraho from some yrs ago did not work on me - I wonder too, if this year's version is different?

  8. Holy moly another win from the Our Lady of Pain series...

This patchouli is dirtier than the one in Our Lady of Pain, but it is softened by the vanilla/amber and I love it: dreamy. I usually can't make honey smell good but this is amazing.

I have to quote you because I feel the same way. OMG this is SO GOOD. I am so happy I bought 2 bottles unsniffed. And I may get another 1 or 2 before it goes down. It reminds me of Goblin but dirtier and sexier. LOVE!!! :wub2:

  9. Mine is full-on sludge, too; at least one imp's-worth of cocoa absolute, if not one and a half, if my experience is any judge.

Mine is too, if not more! It looks so cool when you roll the bottle, I hadn't even noticed until I read this thread the other day! Honestly though, rolled or not, the scent is the same on me. Sweet, custardy, with light chocolate, some floral, and something sharp that reminds me a little of Lilith Vs the Giant Crab. I like it but that sharp stage I don't.

  10. I am awful with notes. But this is dark, resiny almost incense like heaven to me! It's a heavy scent, I think I'd wear it for a night out, maybe not so much during the day as it's quite strong on me and could possibly offend those who don't like earthy/resiny blends. It's super smooth, not sweet, but not sharp or dry either. VERY NICE!!!! :wub2:

  11. I ordered an imp of this on a whim from a decant circle. When I tried it, I didn't expect to love it, but I do! To me it's the same creaminess that Love's Philosophy has, with real, soft (think snow covered) apple (not fake smelling at all!!), no harsh cream cheese/cake note, and a dash of cinnamon. Luckily my imp and bottle I found on the forum are not amping/strong on the cinnamon, as I don't like it in most blends, but I love it in this one. Comforting and yummy. Win!
