    Gluttony

Very little chocolate here: mostly burnt toffee. So unfortunate, because I so loved the description and many of the reviews.

    Golden Priapus

Very Tombstone-y at first, with a pine after-scent. I definitely amp up woods, though. The vanilla shines through, though, much like it does in Tombstone for me.

    Goneril

Scent I can't place. Daffodil-y? springy, certainly. Too floral for me, I think. Work-apropos. Goes lovely cedar later, but that floral stage nixes it for me.

    Grog

Buttery, buttery first whiff! Butterscotch on a stick, I agree. Very straightforward, but I love it. So getting a 5 mL of this one.

    Has No Hanna

Dark ylang ylang as a base. The cocoa from Intrigue, perhaps, in there too. And smoke. Definite smoke. I agree with VorpalBunny: it reminds me of curry. Same sort of sharpness. Drying herbs that are vaguely rotting, even. Can't verify or disprove its Voodoo properties: can't say I was concentrating on that at the time.

    Haunted

Impressive start, but very mysterious. Hard to identify. The amber's there, and feels a touch medicinal due to a citrus note on the back end, but I can definitely catch the musk, too. Hmm. I'm getting Snake Oil from this today--probably the musk. Aw, shoot. Now I smell baby powder. I don't think this one's for me. Then--wait, is that Black Phoenix or Morocco I smell? Aw, man. Well, the aforementioned two work better on me than this does anyway. Strikeout on this one.

    Hellcat

Butter and rum is all I get at first. Warm, comforting. Seems to wear down quickly, though. Very nice throughout. This may be a regular on me.

    Zephyr

Nose tried to convince me it was a floral at first--then settled into Tombstone, minus the cedar. Rounded, deep, almost masculine. Later, VERY masculine. Resembles a commercial scent, to me.

    Yggdrasil

Bright white pines and green herbs. Brisk, fall or possibly spring scent. Fresh, verging on soapy. Dryer clean--air on a bright cool day. Goes soft on drydown.

    Yerevan

Mostly apricot to start. On the start of drydown, I'm loving it. Complex, with the apricot blending in well with the rose and musks. Dry, it's very traditionally perfume-y, which I'm not used to from BPAL. Reminds me of higher-end perfumes that older women wear: too sophisticated/80s for me. Stays strong even after a few hours, and shifts toward a more mellow (but still complex) apricot later.

    Wrath

Powerful and aggressive dragon's blood at first. Skin tingle where applied. Punchy. Might be making my eyes water. Mostly cinnamon/blood(=cherries, in this case), but the pepper's packing the punch, I think.

    Wolfsbane

High green scent. A bit pine-y, with an undercurrent of mulch. Very weird morph to a brighter, high herbal. Fascinating, but not something I'd normally wear.

    Wolf's Heart

Dragon's blood. Almost entirely dragon's blood to me. A hint more masculinity, perhaps, at first. Much more floral once dry, though, and sweeter.

    Wings of Azrael

Weird floral combo. Violet, I guess is what I'm picking up most, but it's mostly just odd to me. Dried: clean violet, and that's about all to me.

    Wilde

Whoa! Lemon/bergamot at first. A bit of a whiff of the (Burberry?) cologne my dad wears--very commercial. Lavender emerges swiftly. Very clean, sophisticated, and masculine. Goes herb-y after awhile--the thyme and patchouli coming out?

    Whitechapel

Beautiful, light, and very sophisticated. I get mostly lilac/light musk, although it has an initial citrus to it. Clean at first, then softens. Lovely. Not long-lasting, though.

    White Rabbit

A bit high in the nose. More pepper than tea to me. Soft tea milk thereafter. Very similar to Sudha Segara to me, although a bit less ginger and more pepper.

    Voodoo

Weird start, a kind of fake cherry scent. Patchouli/myrrh come through quick, then the almond of Black Phoenix. The myrrh triumphs over the patchouli, thankfully, and reminds me even more of Black Phoenix: there's no weird twinge as in some other blends. Aha! a Black Phoenix for men!--the lack of sweet helps that. After awhile, I'd swear I WAS wearing Black Phoenix.

    Vinland

Berry, sun and florals. Crisp. Reminds me a tad of The Hesperides. Very cool heath on warm spring or fall day. Berries come out further as it dries. Fruity, pleasant, all the way until stale.

    Villain

Very old-man's fragrance. Very powerful lilac at first, then pure lavender. Then grandfather-smell. Not me, but very evocative of its intent. Goes very nice and soft when dry, but still masculine-edged.

    Vice

All orange for me: no chocolate at first. Sweet and powdery, then finally turns chocolatey-ish. But a perfume-y chocolate, if anything. It's growing on me as it dries. Goes very sweet and candy-like.
  22. quikslvr

    Verdandi

Herb-y at first, followed by apple-y. Warm spiced apple: rather autumn-y. The -y contraction is so useful.
  23. quikslvr

    Venice

Sweet, sweet floral: violet, perhaps, at first. While sweet, it's complicated, which I like. Goes nicely soft violet later. Work apropos.

    Velvet

Exactly like Tombstone to me, only with chocolate-vanilla. Sandalwood emerges most, because sandalwood seems to like me. It settles down a bit, though, which leads to a lovely softer Bliss cocoa scent. Round, warm--very reminiscent of Tombstone.

    Urd

Dark and incense-y. Sweet, sweet smoke and earth. Beautiful in a headshop/new age-y store kind of way, but so not me. Goes grape-y occasionally, but mostly just patchouli.
