This was mostly spices on me. Marshmallow and spices. I like it, and will definitely keep my decant

seconding Thalassa and The Sea Foams Milk! Love both of those
-
Pomegranate, cognac, red musk, cocoa, tobacco absolute, star anise, and thyme.
out of all the Poms, this was the only one that intrigued me enough to try it. But the Pom is just too tart, and the other notes don't do enough to make me like it. I'm glad I got to try it, but it's not for me. -
Dawn: Mother

Sweet honeyed rose... if the frankincense wasn't in here, I would love this. But it is, and I'm just not a fan.
-
(I am no good at reviewing this type of scent.) It smells dusty, and when I get too close to my arm, I can feel it in the back of my throat... weird. I am not a jasmine fan, and do not pick up any jasmine in this scent. Just the dusty resins and a deep soft rose in the background.
-
I had always been curious about this scent, and when I got the chance to try it in a swap recently, I jumped at it. In the bottle, and wet on my skin, it is very pine-y. Almost air-freshener pine-y. It stayed that wasy for about 30 mins. As it dried down, the incense started to come out. However, with the incense came a B.O. smell - this is definitely sweaty witches dancing in the forest, as JennyGardener mentioned in her review. Glad I got the chance to try it, but it's not for me.

Dawn: Maiden

This is lovely: sweet roses, heliotrope, and a soft honey. It kind of smells like a blend of KVT and Symmakhia... I love it, and my 1/2 decant is not enough! It's so light and clean and pretty - probably more of a Spring/Summer scent, but I definitely need a bottle.
-
Faith is sugared violet... have you tried that one?
-
In the decant, I wasn't real impressed with this, but I tried it on, just to see. It's kind of a sweet scent. A little powdery, almost citrus-y in spots. Not much throw, and after an hour, it's sticking close to the skin, but still hanging around. I don't really get any rose, but the cigarette smoke is there. Not obnoxiously so, just gives it a "hazy" kind of feel.
-
Wet, this was awesome. I could smell the black rose, the dark musk, and amber. But it seems to disappear completely after dry-down. Even at the skin level, there's no scent left on my arm, within about an hour after application.
-
This really does have great throw. It's a very "soft" scent, it just feels smooth. I'm guessing that's from the ambergris? If I raise my arm up to my nose, I can get whiffs of some of the other notes, but they all kind of meld together very nicely. It's quite lovely, but I think my decant is enough for me.
-
In the decant, and wet on my skin, I can smell the pumpkin -
as it dries down, it's more of a spicy scent, and I never really get the blackberry. It's very yummy, and I'll enjoy my decant. Not enough pumpkin to warrant getting a bottle though.

It is official, I really can't do anything chocolate. This smelled so good in the imp, but on my skin, it smells gross. I would swear it had patchouli in it, because it smells like chocolatey B.O. I can't wait to wash it off...

So - Coconut is my holy grail/never fail/can be relied on to get a man (and several women) to stick his nose in my cleavage, fabled note of deliciousness. For some reason, even the cheapest and shabbiest of vaguely coconut scented things smell wonderful on me (must be my polynesian blood lines), so you can imagine the awesomeness that is coconut BPAL.
I plan to order a bottle of Tiki Princess this week and I thought I'd compliment that purchase with a 6-pack of coconut imps. I've found 9 impable scents with coconut mentioned in the ingredients and I need help to eliminate three of them.
Coconut Death Match!!
The contestants are:
Brown Jenkin
Blood Pearl
Black Pearl
Goblin
Elegba
Obatala
Shango
Roses, Pearls and diamonds
Eden
I have Black Pearl (love) already but my imp is running low and Obatala is definitely looking like a strong contender.
Round one. Fight!
Out of those, my favorite is Roses, Pearls and Diamonds (but then, I rose) with Elegba and Obatala close behind. I haven't tried Brown Jenkins or Goblin, Shango wasn't very coconutty on me, and Eden didn't work at all.

Paduan? I loved this at first. Then, for some reason, every time I put it on, I kept smelling clove cigarettes. I mean, someone smoking clove cigarettes on teh beach. It was really confusing. It's being adopted.
Dude... I've been waffling on keeping my Paduan for the same reason. I was all "OMG" over it at first, but once I got a bottle, I just never want to put it on. We are quite the pair, lol

Ugh. I am NOT a Snow White fan. And this smells very similar to Snow White. I will keep it for a bit longer, and hope for the best, but I have a feeling this will go live somewhere else soon.
-
clove, sandalwood, patch, wood/bark, and bay - all here. I can't smell the bourbon vanilla, or any carnation. This is a very nice spicy wood scent, for those who like that. A decant shall be enough for me, to wear when I'm feeling cozy and want to curl up on the couch this fall.
-
I was never really an Antique Lace fan.. and while I totally get the comparisons to AL, XCDL13 is so much better. Vanilla and I have an iffy relationship, but I am slowly learning which vanillas work on me, and this is definitely one of them!
-
Gennivre is lovely - mint tea and honey. Unfortunately it is very light on me, and I just don't see myself reaching for it, so I think I'll let her find a home where she will be more loved...
-
This is my favorite snow blend so far... Many of the snow blends smell similar to me, but with small variances. The Macabray has become the one I measure them all against. If it doesn't smell as good as this, it goes. This truly is the only one I need a bottle of (although I do have decants of a couple others)
-
There are only a few leather blends I like... CC Female, Liz, Perversion, Loviatar... but I am adding this one to the list. Soft leather, sweet amber - pure
-
I have # 21 - in the bottle, it's a very sweet, buttercream icing/cheesecake kind of vanilla. I truly can't pick out any other notes. On the skin, it's not much different, although it does seem to become richer as it dries down. Not much waft, but great staying power! I applied at 8 am, and it's 7 pm and I can still smell it - at my wrist anyway... Love this!
-
I tried this when I first got it, and I didn't like it for the first hour. It was too sharp at first, but dried down into a nice, sweet smoky musk. I slathered a bit today, and it took forever to dry down. It still isn't the yum that I experienced the first time, it's powdery resin instead of sweet musk. But I'll keep my decant and hope for better luck next time I try it
-
for me, it was definitely Exclamation and Charlie!!

Hi, and Welcome!
I haven't smelled Pink in a long time, but I searched this thread and saw that someone had compared Mi-Go Brain Canister to VS Pink. Now that one was a LE (Limited Edition) so it's not available (except maybe on the Sales pages of the forum), so then I checked another thread that compares LEs to General Catalog scents, and it says Jester, Shango, Tweedledee, Tweedledum, Xanthe The Weeping Clown, Croquet are similar to Mi-Go BrainCanister
so... you might try some of those. If I were you, I would look up each one in the Reviews section, and read what other people thought of each one, then you could make a more informed decision... Although keep in mind, with perfume oils especially, your body chemistry can make something smell completely different than it does on someone else. Good luck!

In the imp, orange honey. On my skin, the roses start to come out, and it becomes sweet oranges, honey, and creamy rose. I never really get any sandalwood. I do love this. I swapped my O because it just got too cloying, but this is like the best of O, mixed with KVT, and yummy orange blossom mixed in... this is perfect!
