  1. It doesn't smell evil at all to me... mostly I just smell the patchouli and vetiver (neither of which works on me, of course) and it's not really something I want my boyfriend/fiance to smell like... so I'm not sure what to do with it. It's a little spicy, but not in an exotic way; it reminds me a little of earl grey tea, actually.

not so much for me or my boy, but I could see it working well on someone else.

  2. I adore it. I really, utterly adore it! A little bit cologne-y, a little bit citrusy, a lot deep. :P

This is the perfect scent for my Hellsing Rip Van Winkle cosplay... Salty ocean and her tears as Alucard comes after her, a hint of cologne from the crew (and maybe her? wouldn't surprise me), "limeys", gunpowder from her musket which "punishes all without distinction", blood from the crew...

    Oh yes. This works. *saves*

  3. A nice scent... incensey and a little fruity. I was hoping for something more foody (I remember Diwali most for the food!) so it was a little disappointing, but it's not a terrible smell. I'd keep it if my former roommate/still good friend wasn't hounding me to sell it to her! :P

  4. my friends and I are pretty sure we smell the sufganiyot with honey, pomegranate, and beeswax. Maybe fig too. It's a really nice foody scent, though I don't see it being something I'd wear on myself. I might start scenting candles and my hope chest (which contains a headscarf, some candles, my own personal chanukkiyah, shabbat stuff, etc. with it because it smells just like I'd expect my holiday things to smell like.

  5. A sultry, exotic scent that inspires devious plotting and clandestine affairs. It is a scent painted in artifice, veiled in deceit, and slithering with whispered secrets. Black palm, with cocoa, fig and shadowy wooded notes.

Woody, chocolatey, something else... Gets more yummy and chocolatey as it dries down.

  6. ... The scent is one of unadulterated spiritual purity, with a taste of the world's eternal pathos, and the joy of suffering with grace: frankincense, olive, spikenard, hyssop and galangal.

I actually ordered this for the name more than any of the ingredients... but on, it smells so beautiful and makes me really nostalgic. It's sort of a sweet smelll... reminiscent of queen of sheba sans the almond. Very lovely and sacred and old, a hint of modern relavance. Not dusty or musty at all.

And is it a coincidence that my Hebrew worship music popped up right as I sniffed my hand? I think not.... :P

  7. It's a dark scary red that had me smelling bloodlust, but I shouldn't have worried!

    First sniff:

HELL. YES. Need a huge bottle NAO PLZ.

Fading: it's gone really, really fast on me. :P It ultimately dries down to a lovely sweet coconut... it's not that lovely flowery sunscreen like Black Pearl, more like to-die-for tropical drink. *drools* Definitely going on the top ten....

  8. This is quite elegant, sort of in the way that Dragon's Milk is elegant but a bit more so. very soft and feminine... flowery with a touch of fruit. Sort of springy, but like spring rolling into early summer. The color is a lovely clear pale yellow.

Conclusion: Not sure about on me, but for a feminine, almost perfumey but not quite scent I would definitely recommend this! I might try it on my mom and see what she thinks. :P

  9. I want to say it smells like pure jasmine with a bit of cinnamon, but apparently there's no jasmine in it... Maybe that's the neroli? I have no idea. But it does smell a little too much like my aromatherapy treatment for seizures and that's not something I enjoy smelling like, so I might be finding this one a new home. >_< hehe. :P

  10. spiced orange tea... very subtle. Not exactly orange pekoe... the orange is very warm and sweet and musky, not like citrus at all.

Extremely nice. I have no idea what I'll do with it, but it smells like it would be a nice potpourri scent. I might use this one on my cloak.

  11. In the imp it smelled like coca cola... but on it smells sort of subdued and sandalwoody. It smells "refreshingly tingly" but more in a bubbly soda way than a menthol way... kind of like sandalwood soda.

Conclusion: alright, but not for me. I'll see if my best friend likes it (she's a sandalwood fiend!) :P

  12. it smells unpleasantly like some sort of shampoo/conditioner to me... I think it must be generic/old pantene. As it dries down it takes on the scent of cheap baby wipes on me. I don't see myself wearing it at all, but I wanted it for my guy, so if he likes it he can have it. :P

  13. Sort of musky and dusty... I'm not sure I like it. I'll let my bf try it and see what he says, but it reminds me of dry, crumbling leaves and dusty stone caves. it feels sort of warm and dry and cool, I don't know how to explain it. It gives me a slight headache, though not like lavender or anything. It's a good scent, just not for me. Maybe for the boyfriend...

  14. oh yum! This is what I imagine Bliss and Velvet must smell like! Really sweet, like vanilla. Reminds me of Dragon's Milk in a less-smoky way. The smoky is replaced by a kind of spicy firey scent... not smoky though. Wow. Definitely a keeper.

  15. first sniff on my skin: EEEEEK. Yuck.

Second sniff: kind of pine-y? It reminds me of... something...

Third sniff: it's definitely not a perfume, but I might use this to scent my rosaries. :P

Fourth sniff: Okay, it's turning straaaaaaange on my skin. Like coleslaw. ew. :D

Hopefully this would be better on clothes or in a jewelry box.

  16. First sniff: Oooh, yay! Maybe I've finally found a rose/floral scent that works on me without giving me a horrible headache!

Second sniff: omg, wait-- what is that smell? The spices are making me smell like SOMETHING, I can't put my finger on it but it's kind of gross... like... food. but not good food, it's like spiced tomato soup or salted vegetables or something. blech!

Third sniff: Yay, the gross vegetable smell is gone! :P Now it's a nice sort of rose smell... it's citrusy I *think*, but I'd have to try it later to make sure I'm not mixing scents!

On a different part of my body: Nope! It's not mixing. It really does smell slightly citrusy. Definitely keeping this imp.

I'm not really sure what this has to do with Lucy Westenra, but as a scent I like it. I don't even get the overwhelming fresh-cut rose.

UPDATE: tried this one on again... whatever nasty vegetable scent I used to get is totally gone. It blends right into a faint citrus sort of scent... Am I actually getting to where I can wear florals? yay!

  17. I honestly can't really smell it, but the wiff is nice. This is something I'd probably use on clothes or as a room scent, since I really can't smell it on me. It does remind me a lot of Black Pearl, but it's a lot less fruity.

Also, like blood kiss and bloodlust it makes me HUNGRY. I'm not just saying that, for some reason dragon's blood resin appears to make me ravenous. I didn't really notice it until I sniffed this one and realized it had the same "neeeeeeed... foooooood..." effect on me as blood kiss. Maybe I really am a vampire. >_<
