    Phantom Queen

This is a very green scent. It's like a green floral and I thought it would go very soapy on me but it didn't, just slightly. I liked it and it had a very clean scent. I don't think of the Morrigan's battle aspect with this one. It makes me think of rolling green Irish hills with flowers on them which isn't neccessarily something I'd associate with battle and sexual regeneration but nevertheless, this is a very pretty scent that, 8 hours later, is still lingering on my skin.

    Salomé

In the imp, Salome was all almond with a hint of fruity spice but about 10 minutes after I put her on, she became all jasmine. I love BPAL's jasmine and Salome was no exception but I was hoping that more of that initial spiciness would stand out. She didn't turn powdery or soapy on me and I enjoyed wearing her. The scent stayed on me for a good 6 hours and I only dabbed it on.

    Marie

Marie Antoinette is one my heros so I of course had to try out her scent. This is beautiful. When I first opened the imp, I knew immediately that I want a bottle of it. The violet and rose compliment each other perfectly and this truly is a purple, satiny, swirly scent that captures the essence of Marie. I've had it on for about 10 minutes and the violet and rose just keep changing and intertwining with eachother. A genius scent.

    Lurid

I got Lurid as a frimp on my first order from the lab and today I really felt in the mood to try it out. I was excited about the black currant and resin note, wary of the lavender (not really a fan) and ozone. In the bottle, it was sweet with lots of the musk and black currant coming out. Now, about 10 minutes after applying it, it has become very much like a men's cologne with a hint of sweetness. The more it dries, even as I type this up, the more the sweetness is emerging. It's a very interesting scent and in the last few minutes, I've caught hints of soapniess. I really hope it doesn't go soapy on me! I'm not sure that I'll buy a bottle and I'll have to try this one out a few more times before I decide if I like it or not.

    Jezebel

In the bottle, it's a lovely warm fruity honey but after about an hour, it has morphed into baby powder on me. I don't dislike it but I don't think I'll buy the bottle.

    Urd

I love Nag Champa so I was hoping that this would be the prominent note on me but right now, about 30 minutes after applying, I'm getting a strong grape scent. In the imp, I had smelled a bit of that smokey incensy scent but I'm not a huge fan of grape so I'm hoping that the patchouli and nag champa start to emerge more. The scent is still very beautiful and right now, smells almost like a strong tea to me. I've noticed that after several hours on my skin that BPAL scents smell really differently then when I first applied so this will probably morph as well. I'm looking forward to finding that nag champa in it!

    Morgause

In the bottle, all I got was jasmine and violets but as soon as I put it on, I noticed a berry scent creeping out from underneath. The more it dried, the more the fruitiness started to emerge. Over the course of a few hours, I got more violets than jasmine and it also got more powdery. It is now a soft, somewhat powdery fruity scent with a touch of floral. I like it and I will definitely wear it a lot when I want to feel regal and sophisticated but I'm not sure if I will splurge on a bottle. This is definitely a very purple scent!

    Anne Bonny

Well, I love pirates so I knew I had to try this one out when I first discovered BPAL (about a month and a half ago) and I love it. It's gorgeous. As it dries, this lovely woody smell emerges and I swear it smells exactly like the creaking boards of a pirate ship mixed with a bit of salt and the frankincense and sandalwood of Anne herself. I will have to buy a bottle of this as it's genius--a woman pirate essence captured in a bottle.

    Blood Kiss

This is my first post and first review here and I'm very new to BPAL. I just got my first order yesterday and I've already placed two more--can you tell I'm already addicted? Bottle: A sticky sweet 'bloody' scent. I totally agree with the reviewer who described it as "sugared blood". Very vampiric. I pick up more of the sweetness than the spice. On Me: It is very sweet on me when it is wet but the clove starts to come out quickly and it smells almost incensey. I am catching whiffs of the sweetness (the honey?) but it's now much more spice. I can pick up the cherry as well and maybe a bit of the vanilla. It's still very dark, sticky, and oozy. I love it. I think I might order a bottle.
