  1. Interesting - I chose it this morning to go with the L'Estate bath oil (mmm, peachy goodness) - I get a sparkly peach wine. Doesn't seem to last very long (none of the Odes do :( ) - very nice when you can smell it though! I get the peach sour candy too! :D

  2. Interesting combination of notes - I love lavender and have been finding that frankincense and sweet pea are also love, so I had to get me a bottle of this.... I agree with all the mentions that this is a clean scent - it's perfect for a spring day. Although I hope the aquatic nature of it doesn't bring out the showers. ;)

6-30-09 - wearing it again - it was raining cats and dogs this morning! :D

  3. Interesting combination of notes - sweet, yet floral, foody, but not. Strange. Not one I would have picked up based on the notes, but when I was sniffing it at Shelldoo's, I had to get it! I have no IDEA what it smells like, but I like it! ;)

  4. Interesting combination of scents. Really chocolaty on the initial application, but then the carmel comes out to play. Drying down, the pepper becomes more apparent. I even get a whiff of smoke every once in a while too! Terrific combination of notes - I'm not a foody person, but the smoke & pepper even out the sweetness to make this a very wearable scent! :D

  5. OK - I was having a hard time pinning down what I smelled - not too great in the bottle (to me, of course). Now, applied, it smells a bit more like Necco Waffers & melon. Being that I don't really like melons, I think this one is a no-go for me. :(

  6. an interesting blend of some of my favorite notes (honey, tuberose, amber, white sandalwood, vanilla bean & Damask rose). Sweet, without being overpowering, floral without too much flower. A true sensual delight!

  7. One of my favorites - a terrific combination of orange & amber. Like the grown-up sophisticated sister of Lush's Champagne Snow Showers! It's strange, but some of the notes (Golden amber, blood orange, ambergris, lilac, frankincense, and agarwood) are ones that I wouldn't think I'd like - but the combination with the others makes it magical! Wearing it with BPTP Incendia oil & they combine wonderfully!

  8. OMG! A light, floral scent with a clean finish - there is a bit of the chrome/metal in the dry-down, but the tea balances it out. :) A perfect spring/summer scent - glad I have a back-up of this! :D

7-9-09 - again with the ambergris scents that seem to work so well for me! ;)

  9. Since this is such a HG perfume for so many, I just HAD to get some. And it IS all it's cracked up to be! So sultry & sexy - a favorite of mine when I'm bellydacing & now I know why! Arabian musk and exotic spices slinking through Egyptian amber hehee!

I do get lots of plum (and it goes through about a 2-4 minute drydown where I do get a bit of cat-pee :( ) but then it settles down & gets sultry. Me-ow!

  10. I agree with Boggy - a standout from the Yules 2008. I don't think I ordered a decant of it originally, but sniffed it & KNEW I had to get some. Smelled just like a rich, dark honey in the bottle, but settles into a gorgeous, unique scent. The olive oil must keep it from getting too smoky. SO Glad I have a few bottles ! :D

  11. My most favorite of scents (OK, after LV) - a rich fruited honey - I feel SO comfortable wearing it! (and I've found mixing Lush's B Never & Flying Fox are pretty close to this scent as a body wash ;) )

So glad I picked up a few bottles - the scent is just getting richer as it ages! :wub2: :wub2: :wub2:

  12. So glad I managed to score a partial bottle - I get a lot of the cotton scent (which I apparently like, reminding me of the linen in Sir Hugh's long & winding sheet). All notes I love - a perfect light scent. I will most def. have to drag it out as the summer hits its peak! :D

  13. Lady Lilith - Seems like a very sophisticated Maltese Cross of St. Germanus - I get a lot of the mandarin, but it's tempered with the vanilla and violet - a beautiful, sensuous scent - and it goes great with Lush Champagne Snow Showers jelly! :D

  14. OMG - the most beautiful of bath oils! You can most certainly smell the peaches, but the amber keeps them under control. I like to slosh some in my hand, with some lotion, and slather my legs. I had to put on a skirt because I smelled so good today! ;) Must be the beeswax/amber that I love. Glad I have a back-up bottle! :D
