  1. I LOVE the Lab's honey note, so I HAD to beg Tramp to get me a bottle.

It's very fruity and sweet in the bottle, less fruity and sweet on my skin. Kinda sharp - the hyssop and bark must keep it from being overwhelmingly sweet. Very appley upon application, but dries down softer. Reminds me a of a sweeter Sir Hugh Ockram's Winding Sheet (must be the hyssop).

  2. A frothy, cold coconut perfume, pure and sweet, with gentle wafts of plumeria, pikake, and ala ala wai nui.

Although it's a "tropicial" kinda scent, it works in the fall too. Very soft like Snow White, but with an edge of coconut. So nice! *huffs wrists*

  3. This is very floral and strong on me. I was hoping a bit more of the rotten linen would come out (like in Sir Hugh Ockram's Winding Sheet Rotting linen, white sandalwood, hyssop, and dust.) I think I like Sir Hugh better :huh?: (strange, I thought I was a floral gal & BPAL has made me reconsider that!)

  4. A base of bitter dark chocolate with thirteen baneful and beneficial bits including pimento berry, pink pepper, tolu balsam, bergamot, golden honey, tobacco absolute, champaca flower, and paprika.

I don't get much chocolate at all. :cry2: I think the champaca flower overpowers everything else. So sad, this one doesn't work that well for me. :(

  5. From the notes, this was the one I was most interested in from the updated. Smells great in the imp, but seems to fade really fast on my skin. :( a very pollen-ey honey scent is left behind.

  6. This stuff is awesome. A bit sharp on the SO (as usual), but it warms up to a sweet, spicy love. I will most certainly have to stock up. I think this will be most excellent in a year when the SO calms down a bit.

(oh - and, there are two different labels, since I ordered two bottles & got two different labels ;) )

  7. Same here, had to try it, love the story. SO glad I did! I spilt a bit last year, so I've been scared to use it, but figured - why have it if I'm not wearing it?

So, it seemed a bit greener and almost sweet in the bottle today (aged 1 yearish?), but still gorgeous. A light scent on me, but awesome. It's certainly a beautiful scent.

  8. By all accounts, this should be a blend I love (all the notes are winners - I think?) but it goes wonky on me - I was smelling a soapy crayon in the car (on the way to work), now I'm getting the beachy/coconut smell. I was hoping for a more complex orange, but it's not working on me. Still too soapy. :(

oh well, I always have the Maltese Cross of St. Germanus to fall back on.

  9. I love the BPTP bath oils - they're perfect for a spash of moisturizer and scent at the end of a shower (in addition to being a wonderful addition to my bathing ritual). I HAD to get it when I saw honey. Oceans smells a lot like Lush's Gorgeous/It's a Pleasure Treasure scent (orange blossoms / neroli), which I love. It is just gorgeous. I may need another bottle to stash away.... ;)
