    Come to Me

In the bottle: Almost pure soap. First on: Along with the soap is now a sort of fresh herbal scent. I feel like I've jsut gotten out of the shower. There's definitely a floral in it, but I cant tell which ones. Drydown: This hasn't changed at all, it's still just soap. Almost like a scented Dial. I haven't worn it for it's purpose yet, and while I don't doubt Beth's ability to create amazing VooDoo blends, I do somehow wonder how soap is going to attract men. I'll have to try it out sometime.

    Lex Talionis

In the bottle: Vetiver with a hint of grapefruit. Interesting..... First on: Mmm...the vetiver has definitely calmed down and blended with the sweet notes of violet & cardamom. The pepper gives it a bit of a kick. I knew I'd like this one, but I finally got around to it, of course after it's gone. Drydown: It's gone back to the original vetiver with a twinge of something else. I htink it's the grapefruit. If this could stay in it's middle phase I'd definitely have to have it. As it is, I like it, but I htink it would be better off belonging to someone who loves it.

    Loviatar

In the bottle: I get a hint of leather, but mostly musk and amber. This is good, as I don't like smelling like leather, even though I do love the smell. First on: It's all blending together to where it's hard to pick out a single note. I really like it the way it is now, it's sexy & almost slutty, but not too dark or heavy for me yet. Drydown: This is definitely a lot of leather. It's very sexy in a way I didn't know leather could be on a woman. It certainly got both dark and heavy, which is so different from 30 minutes ago. I can't decide if I like it enough to keep though.

    Lorelei

In the bottle: Ylang Ylang and neroli, with a hint of woodsiness (is that a word?) First on: The neroli comes out with a bang. I'm not a huge fan of neroli, but if it calms down a bit I think the sandalwood might temper it down to my liking. Ylang ylang is in the background, hiding from the neroli. Drydown:Everything blends together so well in this. It's a fruity start with floral undertones, and a bit of smokeyness from the sandalwood. Definitely an innocent scent, yet it has a hint of sadness to it in it's depth. I like it.

    Salomé

In the bottle: Almond, sandalwood, jasmine, maybe a hint of musk. No oakmoss. First on: Holy crapping musk batman! This is almost as much musk as in Haunted, which I couldn't wear. The sandalwood calms it down for me so it's not so potent, and the moss dampens the jasmine. I can't tell if I'll like it. Drydown: It's a bit more musky that above actually. It's not making me nauseated, but I think it's just a bit too musk for me.

    Bastet

In the bottle: *cough*almond!*cough* That's pretty much it. Almond. First on: Incense is strong here, but it's not heavy. Probably the myrrh, amber & saffron blending. Almond is hardly detectable, but leaves a slight sweetness to it, I can't smell musk, and while I don't know what golden lotus is exactly, I don't smell bubblegum. Drydown: I'm getting a very sweet, light scent. It's really perfect for Bastet, the goddess of music, dance, and joy. There's a hint of a darker side, which I expect would be much more prominant in Sekhmet, but it's not very strong here. I'll use it for ritual work, but I don't think I'll be wearing it on it's own much.

    Othello

In the bottle: I can pick out the rose & musk if I search for them, but it's giving off an almost nauseating initial scent. I hope it doesn't translate to skin. First on: The nauseating smell isn't there, but it still reminds me of something. I can't place it though! It's lovely roses without being too dominating, with the musk to give it a kick. Drydown: The musk has mostly gone away, leaving this an almost soapy rose. There's a bit of spice, but it's a carnation type of spice, and it's very faint. zzi like it, but I somehow doubt I'll wear it.

    The Caterpillar

In the bottle: Florals, patchouli, & smokey stuffs First on: MMM..... vetiver, moss, incense, with a hint of floral. I likey. It's definitely a complex scent, it's got a lot going on. Drydown: Vetiver, how I love you. Most of the other scents go away in that I can't pick them out, but it's definitely not an all vetiver scent. It's a light dark scent, if that makes any sense. Like the lighter version of Sloth. I have a lot of vetiver scents, I'll have to compare them to see if this one will make the final cut, but I do like it.

    Medea

In the bottle: Orchid, maybe a hint of currant, cedar, and something else...like vetiver? First on: Way floral on me. The orchid is in full force, the cypress & probably the myrtle leaf, and my skin slightly tingles like there's mint, though I don't smell it. There's something in the background I think is the labdanum. Drydown: Mostly currant now, it's blended out in the background. Currant is definitely the strongest note, with orchid and something almost sourly twinging in the very back. If the sour fades slightly but stays just a bit I'll definitely be wearing it more often in the cooler months. It's not a sweltering August scent for sure.

    Languor

In the bottle: Opium, poppy, and narcissus. I think I'm in love. First on: The only difference here is that the lillies and tuberose come out a bit more. And the poppy helps spice it up. *drool* Drydown: Yup, love. It's sweet & smoky at first, but after pulling back, there's a twinge of spice. I need more of this. Now.

    Black Pearl

Evocative of the sea's unplumbed mysteries. Gentle and lovely, but menacing and profound. Coconut, Florentine iris, hazelnut and opalescent white musk. In the bottle: Berries, sandy beaches, and a hint of coconut First on: Coconut & iris. The musk is hidden for now, making this a light tropical scent. Drydown: It's still mostly coconut & iris, but there's a hint of musk in the background making it not smell like suntan lotion. Yay! It's something I can imagine wearing on a hot humid day.

    Venom

In the bottle: I still don't know what opponax is, but I'm guess it's this. Almost a hint of mint, with some earthy smelling florals. First on: Something in here smells like lotus. It's going all bubble gum on me. I can smell a hint of jasmine, some other florals, and that damn bubble gum. Drydown: Now I can smell the lime just a touch, and the bubblegum has gone away for the most part. It's a nice floral blend with a twist.

    Shroud

In the bottle: Dirt. That's it. Just dirt. First on: I smell the sandalwood layered with some sort of greenry, but the herb smell is sort of coming out. As long as it stays put, I'll like this one. Drydown: It stayed mostly the same, but now I'm not sure if it really jumps out at me. I definitely like it, but I don't wear earthy scents often, so it might go unworn. I'll keep it for a while to make sure, but the grass and the dirt scents really blend together greatly, like you're laying on the ground and smell the wet grass soil.

    Kali

In the bottle: I swear there's berries in here. I get a slight hint of tobacco and chocolate, which surprisingly don't make me want to vomit here. First on: Now it's all balsam, honey, and some sort of flower. I actually hope the other scents come back, or it's just too sweet. I never pictured Kali to be a sweet diety. Drydown: This got even sweeter, if that's possible. I'll keep it probably for ritual uses if I should ever need it, but I don't know if I'll wear it out.

    Queen Mab

In the bottle: Musk & orchid. I like. First on: The musk is still the leader in the scents, but the orchid has fallen back to a sort of generic florsl. Drydown: Mostly musk still, with a hint of floral in the back. I like it, but I don't love it, so I'll probably try it out to see if it's worth keeping.

    Empyreal Mist

In the bottle: At first sniff it's clean laundry with a bit of lemon, but inhaling deeper I get a plastic smell that I can't place. Odd. First on: The plastic goes away, but I smell like lemon fresh laundry. For some reason I like it, but not on me. Drydown: It's gone abck to the original incantation, where I get a slight smell of palstic. I think it's more a scent I want my pillows to smell like than myself. If Beth made a pillow spray, this is the scent I'd want.

    Chiroptera

In the bottle: Mmm...this is night time florals covered in dew. First on: It's starting to get rather sweet on me, which is not a good thing. I can still smell the florals in the background, but it's getting all bubblegum. Is there lotus in this? Drydown: It's become a very very faint floral. I can barely smell it, but it's a cross between a floral and clean fresh air. If that makes sense. I'll probably keep it to try once or twice more, but I'm not sure about it.

    Yerevan

In the bottle: Apricot, honey, and a twinge to dirt. First on: The dirt (or the sweet roots maybe?) seems to take over. I'm not sure I like smelling like this. I hope the other notes come out. Drydown: The notes have blended together to where I can now also smell the plum. It adds a nice texture to it, but I'm still smelling too much of the roots to be able to wear this one. Too bad.

    Hamadryad

In the bottle: cinnamon & florals, maybe a bit of moss? First on: It's all sweet & florals on at first, after a few minutes the cinnamon comes out to balance it. Drydown: Cinnamon, maybe clove? the mossy scent is still there, but most of the sweetness has gone away. it's very faint, which is unusual for cinnamon, but I really like it. I wish it were jsut a bit stronger.

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

In the bottle: vanilla & violet. I like it. First on: The gardenia really comes out, and the violet takes a backseat to everything. Each note is still easily detected. Drydown: It lingers as a vanilla floral. If I search, I can smell the violet and the gardenia, which have both mellowed out, but neither is jumping away. It blends really nicely together, but I'm not sure it's a good scent for me.

    The Lady of Shalott

In the bottle: gardenias and aquatic notes First on: bananas? I swear that's all I smell. I hate bananas. Drydown: Unfortunately this one is not for me. When my nose gets close to my wrist I start to gag, so I'm not sniffing long enough to find out what all the notes are, but I still get that banana scent, the gardenia, and the aquatics. Maybe almost a cocoa too, but the bitter powder cocoa. I'm sad this didn't work out. Now off to wash my wrist.

    Uranus

In the bottle: Cinnamon, and I can faintly detect that alcohol scent people are talking about. First on: Cinnamon & wood chips. I can't tell which wood, maybe cedar or sandalwood, maybe redwood. Drydown: Hasn't changed from above, but it has become much more faint. This is definitely one I would wear, if it wasn't gone.

    Fire of Love

I haven't used this one yet for it's purpose, so I'm reviewing it just as a scent. In the bottle: Smoke, ash, bergamot, sandalwood? It's like Djinn only not as potent and with orange. First on: It's got a slight soapy scent now, which means it probably is bergamot, since it does that to me. It really does remind me of Djinn, which I loooove, but this is great because it's not too overpowering. Drydown: Ooh.....there's an anamalistic scent coming out. If it's civet, it's not much and isn't horrible on me yet, and civet hates me. If it's just musk, it's rather strong. I don't know what ambergris smells like yet, so it could be that. Other than this new addition, it's stayed the same.

    Pluto

In the bottle: Strong medininal herbs. First on: It's definitely icy, but not in a cold unfriendly way. My nose is a bit stuffy from smelling imps all day, but it reminds me of a frozen waterfall in the middle of the woods. Beautiful & icy, but alive & almost like it's inviting you to come touch it. Drydown: It's morphed into a more aquatic & metallic tone, which is more what I was expecting from Pluto. There's still a woodsy scent in the background, but it's hidden by the metallic tang and the icy water. It's very fitting.

    Neptune

In the bottle: Bergamot & cedar. Ugh. I hate orange family scents. First on: Now I can't smell any bergamot, but I definitely get the lotus. It's very sweet, but I like the way it blends in with the cedarish scent. It's very dreamlike. Drydown: Now it's all lotus unfortunately, which just smells like bubblegum on me & nothing else.
