    The Great Sword of War

Tried: 2008.05.28 In the bottle: Tobacco leaf, saffron, sour mandarin and a tiny bit of cacao hiding behind. Makes me think of: Very sour, and tobacco makes me sneeze, as usual... but putting it away here would have been too easy. Just applied: Sweet mandarin perfectly blended with cocoa. Makes me think of: Yummy. And I'm not sneezing anymore. Drying: Mandarin fades but cocoa is still there. Black tea, musk and tonka show up, tobacco tries to come out but is kept behind (which is good for me). Makes me think of: Spicy, but fresh at the same time... Dried and fading: Soft, sweet musk, and what's left of tonka and cocoa. Makes me think of: Musky spices... can't say no to that. Final impressions: Seemed horrible in the bottle, but it turned out to be very pleasing... Definitely manly, but not overly so. A possible 5ml.

    White Rabbit

Tried: 2008.05.27 In the bottle: Honey and ginger with a bit of vanilla and black tea. Makes me think of: Mmmm... tea and honey cake... Just applied: The vanilla disappears, the honey hides away, ginger looses its bite... tea is still there, and "clean linen" comes out full power. Makes me think of: Very "clean" indeed... but I'd like some more cake. Drying: The tea is getting cold fast... Makes me think of: Tea party is over. Dried and fading: Clean linen is all that's left. Makes me think of: Soap... I smell like a fresh laundry load. Final impressions: Smells really nice in the bottle, but once out... I'd use it more as a room spray, not personal scent.

    Blood

Tried: 2008.05.22 Received as an in-order gift! Thank you! In the bottle: Black cherry spiced with clove. Makes me think of: Mmm... cherries... Just applied: Spiced cherry with a sweet resinous and slightly smokey scent. Makes me think of: Eating freshly cooked cherry pie near the fireplace on a cool autumn evening. Very warming. Drying: The cherry fades a bit but is still present. The resins grow a bit stronger, remain sweet, but grow a bit more smokey. Makes me think of: It's calm and very warm... Dried and fading: Smokey sweet resins with a very slight cherry aftertaste. Makes me think of: I want to stay inside all day and relax... Final impressions: I really like this one. I expected it to be more feminine, so I had not ordered it, but it turned out to be much more gender neutral. A comforting base, a bit of spice to give it warmth, and the cherry brings it to life. Also, the cherry does not smell like candy to me, but like real black cherries... A possible 5ml on my side! Makes me want to try some other "blood" scents, also...

    Whitechapel

Tried: 2008.05.20 In the bottle: Lemon. Sweet lemon. With a tiny bit of lime and lilac. Makes me think of: The best lemon candies I ever tasted. Not too sour, not too sweet, just perfect. Just applied: Happy shiny lemon, with sweet white lilac. Not much lime... it mixed with the lemon almost completely. Makes me think of: A warm spring day, having a picnic under a lilac tree and drinking lemonade... Drying: Very sweet, lemon starts smelling a bit less, lilac a bit more, and soft white musk shows itself. Makes me think of: Still a warm spring day, but the lemonade is all gone... we're left with only cakes now. Dried and fading: Very sweet, powdery musky lilac. Makes me think of: Lilac-flavoured candies... if that even exists. Final impressions: Very pleasing scent, but not at all what I expected. I don't see the "gentlemen" part at all. I would imagine it more on a cheerful little girl... I wouldn't wear it much myself, but I'd gladly put that scent in my home on relaxed, sunny days.

    Mad Hatter

Tried: 2008.05.21 In the bottle: Full-powered pennyroyal, with a slight musk scent. Makes me think of: Very strong freshening mints. Just applied: Still full powered pennyroyal, a bit musky, and a tiny lavender-citron scent. Makes me think of: That dry mint toothpaste they use at the dentist's... Drying: Cold pennyroyal that won't fade down, and the lavender-citron a bit stronger. Makes me think of: Dentist. Definitely. Or maybe a freshly cleaned hospital... Dried and fading: Pennyroyal got a bit warmer, lavender-citron mixed a bit, musk doesn't smell much anymore. Makes me think of: I smell like I just spent the day in an hospital room... Final impressions: I think this went very wrong on me... Definitely too cold and formal for my liking.
