    Wrath

Argh, on me this is vile! I love cinnamon, but this becomes overpoweringly heavy, oppressively spicy (and not in a good way!), and I think the culprit is Dragon's Blood. And not cinnamony at all. I had to scrub this off, both times I tried. Oh well...maybe Dragon's Milk will be better for me.

    Sea of Glass

Very bright, clean, ozone scent, crisp and with a slightly hard edge to it. Very much lives up to it's name. It is a beautiful scent, and I can see why so many people like it, but it is a little too hard-edged/bright for me...I would like it more if it were tempered with just a hint of sweetness (but then I suppose it would be named something else!) .

    Absinthe

I really liked Absinthe...and I wasn't sure I would, even though I've been very curious about it. Wet it is a very strong lemon scent, which fades to a lemon-ginger after 5 minutes, and then becomes a lovely, sweet anise, with maybe a hint of floral. I don't really get any mint at all. No soap, either. (Hooray!) It is light, but it lasts several hours. I am definitly keeping my imp, and will give it a few more wears before I decide on big bottle status.

    Leanan Sidhe

I thought this was a very feminine, pretty, delicate scent. It reminded me very much of a much sweeter, floral version of Dublin. I have Dublin and love it, and decided I didn't need 2 that were similar... but I may be wrong. There was no soap on me, and very little herb. It had good staying power, and the most delicious waft...

    Bon Vivant

Bon Vivant smelled like strawberry in the imp, very sweet and sticky. On my skin, it goes from strawberry syrup to straberry-violet pastilles... Not for me, but hopefully it's new home will like it more.

    Glasgow

Unfortunately, Glasgow didn't work on me, which was a major dissapointment, since I had lived there and would have loved a scent named for it! But on me, no blackberry, at all, even in the form of sweetness. All I get is heather, a very dry, herby, gritty heather... I may try it again, and hope it was just bad chemistry that day...

    Silk Road

Wow, on me this is super light, slightly grassy with a hint of cinnamon in the background, and lasts about 45 minutes then is barely noticeable. I really like it, but wish it were slightly stronger, and definitly longer lasting, as it does seem to be on other people. Undecided whether to swap or keep...

    Hetairae

I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I got Jezebel because of the honey, and it turned to powder. I got this one for the honey too, and was hopeful at first, because it went on very sweet honey, with a spicy kick to it, which I thought was ginger, but might have been the patchouli? When it dries, it remains very sweet on me, almost cloyingly so, with a touch of the fig and spice underneath. After about 30 minutes, it becomes powdered honey with fig. And they all smell really nice, but I don't think honey is a note I can wear well...it is a little too sweet for me, and develops a powderiness I don't like. I'll be swapping this away, because on the right person, this would be beautiful.

    Umbra

Got this as a freebie, and would never have ordered it because of the patchouli. In the bottle it smells like wet earth and leaves, with a hint of cinnamon. On application: The pathcouli comes out strongly at first, with cedarwood and cinnamon underneath. Very strong at this stage, but it passes quickly, and leaves a very nice deep cinnamon with a hint of the cedarwood. If cinnamon was a huge tree, this would be the smell of it's cut wood...I don't get any vetiver at all. It is a deep and quiet scent, not a cinnamon red-hots bright scent. It has the woodiness and depth that I wished Hamadryad had had on me (instead, it was red hots, and never anything else...) I really like it. I don't think it is too masculine at all, though I think it could smell really good on a guy, and might have to try it out on mine. And what surprised me most is I like it, and the patchouli didn't bother me at all. If this keeps up, I may have to reconsider patchouli.

In the bottle: grapefruit, with apple blossom underneath Wet: grapefruit, apple blossom, tea in the background. (No ginger) Dry: Apple blossom and soap. (no ginger) The apple blossom is soooo pretty I am tempted to overlook the soap, but I just can't. My nose itches a little, even as I love the apple. So, it got swapped...

    Blood Countess

Mmm, a very rich scent, but not overly heavy or dark. This is very juicy, thick with plums and berry, with a smoky sweetness to it (opium?). I don't catch florals at all, but I do seem to smell a hint of clove... And while it is fruity, it is not sticky-sweet or bright. It doesn't seem to last overly long on me, but it is nice while it does. Can't decide if it will be big bottle or not...

    Jezebel

Honey and rose in the bottle. Very pretty. On my skin, honey and orange blossom, drifting into strong rose, before becoming pure baby powder. And then it stays baby powder. All within 15 minutes. Oh well...

    Endymion

Wet, lucsious pear, very fruity and crisp. There is lily of the valley underneath, and maybe a hint of the rose. Unfortunately for me, however, there is also soapiness. Without the soap though, this is a light, juicy floral scent. Perfect for spring and summer.

    Carnal

A nice balance between the fig and the mandarin, it is slightly smoky fig, with ripe mandarin on top. Soft, not bright. Very nice.

    Snake Oil

Snake Oil is one that I love at the end, and wish were a little softer at the beginning. On me, the spices in Snake Oil are very prominent, with rich vanilla underneath but overshadowed. The spices smell "burnt", (maybe toasted is a better word), as if they were all seared over flames to heighten their scent, and then a few drops of vanilla added to the mix. It is strong, spicy, and this lasts a long time. Eventually the spices fade and I am left with the most beautiful vanilla. Yum. I wish the initial spices were a little softer in the beginning, but still reach for this because of that vanilla.

    Lightning

Lightning slashing the midnight skies over the endless reaches of the ocean. The electric tang of ozone, marine notes, and a drop of sharp rain. I got this for my husband, and on him it smells faintly citrus/ozone-y, like clean laundry with a soapy finish. He doesn't like it on him at all. On me, it it smells like the same, minus the soap and add a little sweet. There is a nose-tickling item in it, also, for me. I like it more as a linen scent than a perfume oil.

    Mata Hari

I was curious about this one because of the coffee note. On me, there was a strong coffee note at fist, which I liked a lot, but it mellows out and I'm left with a very "perfumey" perfume, something very sophisticated, with many notes blurring together smoothly. I can't pick out the individual notes, but it is very floral. I think of it as a "dusky", but not heavy or dark. A very good evening scent, mysterious and sophisticated. I liked this, but wished the coffee note would have stayed longer, and the florals been less prominent on me.

    Hamadryad

This is such a varied scent on people! I can smell the cinnamon in the bottle, along with a touch of something green. But on my skin, it becomes sweet cinnamon red-hots, with no woods or florals at all. It stays this way when it dries down, and eventually (hours later) a hint of moss comes out faintly. I do get a slight initial itchiness on my wrists when I apply, which does go away. I have learned not to put lotion on top of this though! It burned like the dickens!

    Undertow

I loved the smell of this in the bottle, fresh, invigorating juniper and mint. On my skin, the juniper and mint play around for a few minutes, which is lovely, and then they fade off into a very sweet, waxy, cloying smell that really doesn't sit well with me. I think it is the lotus, and I do not think we get along very well! Swapped it away to a hopefully happier home.

    Dublin

I absolutely love this scent! It makes me smile and feel cheerful when I wear it, very uplifting. I think this is a perfect and lovely scent, hard to describe, but perhaps like fresh leaves that have been lightly crumpled in your hand, on a slightly breezy day, with a few flowers nearby adding sweetness but no specific notes. And on me, the staying power is good. I love this one, completely, and will definitly be ordering a big bottle!

    Cold Moon

I got Cold Moon thinking it would be light, crisp and cool, based on all the reviews. But on me, it is almost exactly the opposite. It is really warm, strong, and a little goes a long way! In the bottle: smells sharp, a little citrusy, with spice and a hint of floral. It is really strong, and makes my nose itch. On me, after the initial wet phase: Much softer, smoother, no citrus at all, but very warm. It smells like sugary incense, with a light floral in the background. It becomes a little powdery, and I can detect just a hint of fern. I don't get anything cold about this at all. Overall, I really like this, and am glad I gave it a second chance.
