    Georgia Peach

Gummi candy peach--very strong and sharp and sweet...unfortunately this doesn't smell like the real deal to me...but it is nice. If you like Georgia Peach SN and Vanilla Bean SN, you'll love Tamora. It's drydown is a perfect amalgam of these two sns

    Desire

Firey, red, sweet, and passionate...this is what I had hoped that Flame of Desire would be I can smell the apple and rose in here, but the vanilla and patchouli keep it from going all perfumey on me like Eve did. There's also a "snuggly" soft note in this that reminds me of Antique Lace

    Antique Lace

Ok, I'll admit it--the scent description didn't sound too inviting. At all. But then I kept hearing that it was a soft vanilla, and I adore vanilla, especially BPAL vanilla, so... omfg. This is amazing. It smells like soft snuggly warm cotton...like...like...a fluffy little white kitten, or getting a hug from an adorable little girl dressed in a fresh white lace spring dress. It's also insanely nostalgic. One of the most nostalgic, comforting scents ever, bumping Alice out of that spot on my list I am so grateful to a wonderful forumite friend who sent me the imp and who is selling me a bottle

    Aureus

To my nose: very dry woods and incense...I don't really smell the amber, unfortunately =( This is a scent that could proly do with a little aging...

    Rosalind

In the vial and wet on my skin, Rosalind smelled like sharply fresh, slightly sweet grass =) And then...they sneak up on me...STEALTH BERRIES!!! The sharpness of the berries and sharpness of the berries just aren't a good combon on my skin =(

    Leanan Sidhe

A soft, pretty floral soap, somewhat dewy and herbal...but definately reminiscent of soap =/...not a bad soap though...I can definately see this working as a perfume for someone

    Neo-Tokyo

I can definately smell the ozone, but the greeness and cherry blossom keeps it from going all detergent on me =) This smells to me like a fresh clear spring day in a high-tech city. I agree with nemesister about the anime chick This is very much a futuristic smell--a bright and sassy one.

Gourmand - Foody Scents - General Recommendations

Tombstone was pure sassafrass on me =( But now I need to try Zephyr!

Gourmand - Foody Scents - General Recommendations

Tamora dries down as a very yummy vanilla with touches of peach Also, if you manage to get your hands on Antique Lace, it's a very soft, snuggly, non-foody vanilla. I'd also try Chaste Moon, which isn't foody but the sweet cream is definately evident in it. And Snow White, another LE... When I saw warm vanilla sugar I thought "snake oil"...I'm assuming he can't stand incense? Fresh snake oil is much heavier on the vanilla and lighter on the incense... How about Shanghai? It's a gorgeous aquatic tea, like...sweet, fresh water, to my nose, if that makes any sense ^^; It's also very gentle, not sharp like White Rabbit, so he might like that

    Embalming Fluid

I much prefer Shanghai to Embalming Fluid, which is a slightly more gender-neutral version of the former. Slightly more lemony and less sweet than Shanghai, Embalming Fluid is also not as long-lasting. I'd stick with Shanghai for my tea/aquatic/lemony fix, unless you want an oil for your boy .

    Vicomte de Valmont

This is insanely masculine. As in, it smells like cologne. I can smell the amberguis, musk, moss, and rosemary. There's also something very slightly sweet in here--the rose geranium? A great way to make the cologne-loving boy convert to BPAL

    Tempest

Very ozone/aquatic...not as insanely ozone as Storm Moon, but still strong. It smells detergenty, like most aquatics/ozone scents, but not as much as most others. This is the scent of strong winds laden with rain.

    The Empress

Like The Star, I bought a whole bottle of The Empress before my imp arrived because I was convinced I would love it. I do like it very much, although I don't know if I can use a whole 10 ml of it! EDIT: Actually...yeah...I do love it, and I am glad I'm getting a whole 10 ml! The Empress is fresh and rosey, with a definate undertone of incense. It's not somber or austere at all though. I'd say the rose notes are somewhere between the fresh dewy Rose Red and the dry, sweet London. It fits the tarot card perfectly...when I smell this I imagine a young empress-priestess crowned in a wreath of roses and with the faint touch of ritual incense clinging to her robe. Lovely and a classic rose perfume.

    Jack

Butter and sharp peach What gets me about jack is that the butter is *savory*, not sweet. I can see the peach cobbler analogy, but even though I usually love wearing foody scents, I can't see myself wearing this EDIT: Late drydown is %!$#%*@???!! Amazing!! It looses its butteriness and sharpness and smells like...CANDIED YAMS! OMFG!! Now I'm in a total quandry...I dislike the first half, but I adore the second half! What to do??

    Dragon's Eye

    Hmmm...this smells almost exactly like pure Dragon's Blood to me =P I only get get deep resiny lilacs in Dragon's Blood, and the lilac is even stronger here. Purple flowery dragons? o_0;

    Kali

First sniff: Chocolate and wine! Drydown: The florals are coming out more now, and the chocolate disspears...this smells very much like comercial perfume. Pretty, but not nearly as unique as I thought it would be =(

    Cold Moon

I agree with Finny--cold, aquatic and sweet. Not Hall's cough drop-like (thank goodness!) like Undertow, but like dark, cold water (and not at all detergent-like). This is not me at all, but it would be perfect as a candle or room scent

    Tamora

First sniff on skin: Georgia Peach SN! Really fruity and Hi-C on me Initial drydown: Vanilla is coming out a bit and calming the peach--very creamy Further into drydown: Peach smoothy--I can definately ID the vanilla as the Vanilla Bean SN, which I ADORE Also the golden amber comes out--this is just creamy and golden and YUM!

Please help me replicate Tommy Girl

Hmmm...well, if you like green tea, then perhaps Shanghai? It's green tea, lemon, and honeysuckle--it's very much a "sweet water" scent to my nose Breezy and refreshing and slightly aquatic.

Gourmand - Foody Scents - General Recommendations

I've just tried Chaste Moon, and it definately fits the bill It's sweet and creamy, but the tiny, delicate flowers prevent it from smelling like dessert It's a non-pure-rose floral I can *wear*, which is just amazing.

    D'Anjou Pear

I just recieved a bottle of D'Anjou Pear I bought from an absolutely wonderful forumnite friend. Now, when I heard she had D'Anjou Pear I thought "squee! single note! Hmmm...pears smell pretty nice..." so yeah, I was happy to be getting it. I've only smelled two other SNs--Vanilla Bean and Georgia Peach--and gotten a pretty good impression of what the Apricot SN smelled like from March Hare. I ADORE/WORSHIP vanilla bean, but georgia peach and Apricot just went sort of...Hi-C on me =/ so I was like...hmmm...will I like the pear sn? Well let me tell you--this is PEAR. I'm used to the brown, gritty, tough pears--THIS ISN'T IT. This is...amazing....this isn't canned pears--oh no; I can smell the freshness. This is a naturally sweet pear, not a sugar-coated pear. This is juicy and textured... I never knew I could love pear this much. I'm not usually a fruity scent person. But I've realized that I'm not a fruity scent person because most fruity scents don't actually smell like the genuine article. This does. That's all I have to say

    Khephra

Powdery spices and resins...I can definately smell sandalwood and clove, and a touch of cinnamon...this is gorgeous--golden, "hot," slightly powdery...I would never have thought to try this, but it was a freebie imp from the lab. I want to try the other sun scents now!
  23. It's true: Dana O'Shee and Snow White are completely different. They both have a certain creaminess--that is all (though I wish that Dana O'Shee smelled like Snow White on me... ) Now, I just need a perfect Damnation Dupe and I'm set

    The Living Flame

A warm bouquet of spicy red florals...I coudn't detect any berry in this. I'm not a big florals fan, however, and I'm not very good at picking out individual floral notes =/

    Midwinter's Eve

Sugar plum candy! I get no cinnamon or anything else...just sugar plum candy =) Not quite my style, but very nice!
