    Peach I

The peach note in these smells like a peach liqour to me. Very rich and juicy and sweet, not overly tangy. It blends in so seamlessly and perfectly with the tobacco! I am so in love with this scent. It projects and lasts for hours after hours, smelling better and better as it melds with your skin. This is a nice example of how red musk can still be sexy... but can also be elegant and work place appropriate. The longer it is on the less prominent the peach becomes and the more the honey takes over the sweetness coupled with the tobacco. The tonka is there too, I think marrying into the peach to create that feel of a liqour. It's boozy without smelling drunk. I never get the woody dry down others describe... it is so well blended though! I can't quite describe the cloud of scent in the dry down, but it is oh so sexy. But in the way that a ballgown is sexy, rather than a bikini. If it were a color it would be sunset. It vears into really sweet, but never quite crosses the border into Candyland, thanks to the tobacco and musk. I can feel it wanting to go into candle land, but thankfully doesn't on my skin. It is something that could happen though if you are prone to such things. I bought 3 of these >< which says a lot since I still have yet to make it more than half way through a bottle in 5 years. It is perfect and wonderful and so much <3.

    Miss Spink

I love how we all seem to be getting something a little different from this. The two times I have worn it have been very different as well. The first time (the first day the package came) I got licorice cookies out of it and no flower at all. Today I am getting almost only flower out of this... but is it gardenia or tuberose? Nope... its lotus. A very complex and realistic wet lotus. I haven't decided to keep this one yet or not. I'm going to let it sit for another month or two and see what wildness it smells like then.

Feed Me and Fill Me With Pleasure

Banshee Beat Patchouli with a touch of AM smoke and wood. The vanilla and honey seem to be off having afternoon tea sadly, but nom nom nom on the sexy smelling man hand. This is a Unisex Banshee Beat (which was very sweet on me) which surprises me a lot given the sexual nature of the name. I normally think of sexy scents as being more distinctly masculine or feminine... but this could smell sexy on either. I'm still sad my skin isn't getting any Celeste vanilla... I love that vanilla (Elf v4) sooooooo much and was excited to have another scent of it. But the scent and the name in combo I like enough to hang onto this and maybe dab on other people in the future to see if I can get a wift of that precious vanilla.

    Mother Shub's Cthulhustollen

Mmm! This is the christmas baked good scent I was looking for! I normally don't like boozy scents... but this one is so well done with the orange to keep it fresh. And Then the rest of the scent is spicey and bready and wonderful! Sadly it doesn't stick around long... but while it lasts it is really something special. Thinking with the short life and cozyness it might live as a bed time scent.

    Mother Shub's Gingerbread Temples

This smells like O... with the slightest hint of ginger and flowers. The stollen one smells a lot more like what I was hoping this one would. Going to age it to see if it turns better... but as of right now it's not doing much for me. If you like O this might be better on you

    Prosperity of a Country

Frankincense, orris root, asuhi, leather, and ginger-infused cream accord. This actually makes me think of a masculine glowing vulva... the cream almost comes across as a very mild coconut, but is at the same time milky. Neither of leather or ginger is over powering... tho together with the cream make up the dominate notes of this scent. It doesn't strike me so much as a 'pretty' scent as a raw animalistic scent. Its soft enough to be worn by a woman, but rugged enough to be worn by a manly man. But like glowing vulva, the scent blends together to a warm coming off the skin glow. I am not sure how self conscious I would be wearing this to class ect... because I don't know how well it would be received as its more along the lines of an true earthy scent, but its perfect for cuddling up with a book.

Help me choose a Blue Moon! (CHOSEN)

Glad to help. And for clarification, from what I understand, the BPTP and Lab are technically two different companies in two different locations... so any kind of order combining would be a logistical nightmare for them. But what you can combine now is etsy orders, because where they keep those and the site orders is the same. ...The cadet's logic is sound*. When you put it that way, it does make a lot of sense to cut out Luna Azul. Though I thought you could combine BPTP/BPAL orders vis-à-vis shipping? No matter - the rest of your reasoning stands. Adiós, Luna Azul! *sorry, couldn't help that one - I am a huge Star Trek fangirl and working show/movie dialogue into non-fandom conversation makes me giggle ETA: all of the blends have lavender in them so I'm hedging my bets on that note regardless of which one(s) I choose, but lavender is much less iffy on me than orris root, so I'm still okay with cutting out Luna Azul.

Help me choose a Blue Moon! (CHOSEN)

On the good side, that means the lab made one for almost every taste ^^ You could always order 2/3 though, smaller total than all 3... but make it more likely you find one (or two knowing the lab) that works on you and you can love and always remember your 21st bday with. And since Luna Azul is through the BPTP as well as having two notes you say are iffy on you, maybe that is a good one to rule out so you are only paying for shipping once? Also that way you are only risking the lavender iffy note once. Though I do admit its a tough call because they all sound amazing, that is one way to par it down.

    Leather

Its not really a comfort scent, but a leather that feels like that to me is Mysterious Warning. MYSTERIOUS WARNING A scent evocative of poisonous family secrets: dry lavender-infused amber, battered leather, nicotiana, osmanthus, and jasmine tea. Its quite delicious, I wear it quite a bit as an every day scent. And has the leather and tea combo you liked in severin

    Following Instructions

Mmm... pancakes with syrup. Delicious, and not a thing like I'd imagined... but a great foodie morning scent ^^

    Carrot Cake?

The recent pumpkin masala rooibos reminded me a bit of baked goods such as carrot cake. Its been a while, but during the sleepy hollow release there was one based on a horse that was like carrots and grains and sweet things. You might want to take a look around for that (was like 2008 weenie I think?) Ah ha! Gunpowder. Carrot peelings, hay, chaff, molasses, maple oats, red apples, stable wood, and musk. And it was 2008. In the review thread, a lot of people reported it to be like carrot cake on their skin. I traded it off pretty quickly because my skin really liked amping the oat and hay notes... but it seemed to be more foodie on some people, and I can imagine got richer with age.

    L’Essence de L’Ardeur

I picked this one out for v-day as all the notes (except the Myrrh) have correlations to my huni ^^ I am not disappointed at all. Its a lot smoother than I expected. Like silk made from chocolate pudding I think I need another bottle before they poof! It layers great with the bath oil... which smells to me exactly like chocolate pudding (cept fancy ones made with roses), where as the perfume by itself is a little sharper and not quite as rich and decadent as when it is layered. So get ye a set!
  13. Hmm... has anyone posted this link here yet? http://anyasgarden.blogspot.com/2010/06/mystery-of-musk-natural-perfumers-guild.html Those are things that can be used to make musk like scents. Vanilla, patcholli and laudanum (one of the main thing used to make amber notes), all of which main notes in snake oil, are all naturally musky. If I were you I would look for common elements on that list between what you amp, and what musks you are fine with, in order to get a better feel for what works on your skin.

    L’Essence de la Passion

O type honey... but here it almost smells like rootbeer. O and Inez had a baby who loves rootbeer. It has promise though, as I HATED Inez at first, and now its one of my fav scents. And this is much less ugh atm than most carnation scents start out on me. I think its the red musk love. This seems like a diffrent red musk than usual though, a little less patcholli, a little less fruit, and more musk. With rootbeer.

    Lady in Speckled Pink Kimono

Mmm beautiful! It smells like a simpler version of Ice Princess. Like without the cream and perfumey notes. I want to slather myself in it! Sometimes when I take a wift I am struck with nostalgia about something from childhood, though can't pin point quite what. Beautiful, simple. I wish the peonies were a little more prominent, a little fresher. This as it is is simple and beautiful, though am not sure how unique.
  16. Mmm sexy wood. I love this. There is a sweetness from the pomegranate that is pretty prominent, but other than that I don't pick out any single note, its a woody smokey resin base. Kind of makes me think of 2010 Pom IV, cept with no chocolate (just something chocolate like) and less sharp.

    Halloween: Las Vegas

I wish I was getting Cake Smash from this. As that is one of the blends I passed on, was frimped a sniffie of, and loved. For the first 30 mins... all I got was wine and tobacco... at one point I had to check my computer, because it smelled like it might be frying. But no, just the perfume. Finally after 30 mins... I start getting a bit of licorice frosting, with the wine from Wanda. This is going to need some aging before I try again.

    Ice Princess Bath Oil

Mmm this is delicious. It doesn't really smell like any one particular thing either... Just well blended and soft and warm and a lil sweet. I could see this also being a gift to people you want to enable into BPAL as I think it would be a fairly well received scent. It smells a bit young (not sure if tis too young on me without layering) but has a distinctly soft perfume note to it. Time to work a whole lot to get spending money to buy oogles of this before it goes down though. I think I could actually get my younger sister (who rarely wears perfumes OR moisturizer) to use this. This is the only BPAL bath oil other than Morrocco that strikes me as actually perfumery, and not more of a traditional bath product scent. Which really surprises me when I go back and read the ingredient list... It is definitely a 'princess' scent rather than a 'queen' scent. Its very light and sweet and would be excellent on a teen or young adult. I am 24 and at least how it smells on my skin, I wonder if it is a little too young for me even. But I like it enough to wear it at the house, or when I am subbing with younger children (as I love smelling all sweet and foodie for them). Err... I realize my description isn't quite doing it justice. Hmm, its not young because its a foodie or light floral... some of those can feel quite adult at times. Its very innocent smelling though. Like... its how I liked to smell with I was in my teens. A little musky, a little fresh, a little fruity... but not at all sexual.

    Honey and Beeswax scents

Ooo of the yules that just came out... two of the little match girl scents strike me as subtle honey. Thousands of lights (beewax type honey and incense) and a wonderful light (citrusy wood honey) As well as Beautiful and Adored from Frankenstein. That one is (at least on my skin) a very subtle scent in general, unlike the other two. And was quite delicious and womanly.

    Yules?

Mmm pumpkin masala rooibos is totally growing on me. I layered it today with a vanilla lotion... and smell like really yummy bakery treats! Many nice ones... but that is the one I keep craving and coming back to.

    Yules?

Hmm so far hits from this year: ondurius, a wonderful light, winter heavens, and zomg pumpkin rooibos!!! Beautiful and adored was quite lovely too. Chiming in to add my vote to Snow White too... with the absence of trading post items with it this year... I'll be buying a few bottles to add to unscented things. It really is worth bathing/ living in

    Amiable and Lovely Creatures

Okay... for realizes... this smells like generic bpal. Which ofc isn't a bad thing at all. It totally smells like my bpal box, and the bpal packages I get... The honey in here is similar to the honey in O The rose is fairly prominent. I can smell each of the things individually, and it is rather comfy and I'm sure on the right person will be absolutely lovely once their skin plays with the notes. But I don't think a bottle is in my future... It is nice, but not very distinct on my skin. Especially after the honey takes over, and its not the type of bpal honey that really floats my boat. For people that love O though... definitely give this one a shot. Its the sexy O dressed up in sexy lingerie underneath tame clothes she can wear in public.
