    Smut

2010 version - this smells like grape Kool-Aid. Very sugary, very sweet. I think my 2008 version is a lot deeper, musky and more interesting. It might be worth buying a bottle to age, but fresh, this is a one dimensional scent.

    Signior Dildo

This is quite pretty. Mostly vanilla with a hint of violet. It's a soft smell but it has incredible throw and longevity. After awhile it almost has a skin musk scent to it. Very nice, I think I'm going to need a bottle.

    Saint Foutin de Varailles

This is quite lovely. On me this is a light, bright scent. Primarily beeswax, rose and wine, I'm not detecting any frankincense. This is giving me a memory flashback but I'm not sure of what. Smells like another BPAL blend, I think Day of the Skulls, but I'll have to go back and check my notes. All in all, I like it. If I's similar to day of the Skulls I'll pass on a bottle since I already own DotS, but if not I might throw a bottle in with my next order.

    Olisbos

I agree, this does smell a bit like a furniture store, very interesting. A unisex blend with the primary scent of wood, secondary scent of leather and just a hint of olive oil. Even though it's a wonderful, unique blend, it's not something I'd want to smell like. Typically I love leather scents, but this one isn't grabbing me.

    Anactoria

This blend is primarily amber, musk and honey to my nose. It blends together in a magnificent way creating a very light, sexy, feminine blend. Stays close to the skin without a ton of throw. I think I'll need to test this again to see if it's bottle worthy.

    The Zadok Allen Vineyard

I didn't even want to put this on my skin since it smelled so terrible in the imp. Wine scents and I typically don't get along but I wanted to try this one anyway. Starts of as a sharp wine note but begins to fade after a few minutes. I'm getting quite a bit of fruit out of this and for some reason my nose keeps thinking Hollywood Babylon. The smoke note is detectable, but only if you're looking for it. At any rate, for a wine scent it's not too bad, but not something I'd wear. Off to swaps.
  7. The strawberry in this is more of a candy strawberry as opposed to a fresh strawberry. Very sweet, very creamy, almost reminiscent of strawberry milk. At first I get a touch of the pepper, but it quickly fades away. The throw is incredible and the staying power is amazing. It's been about 12 hours and it's still going strong. I like the blend, but I have the White Chocolate and Strawberry blend from last year and it's way too similar to justify getting a bottle of this blend.

Milk Chocolate and Matcha Green Tea Ganache Truffle

Once again, no chocolate from this blend (this is becoming a theme with the chocolate scents this year). Starts off as tea, turns almost into something citrus scented and then after a bit turns dusty. During the citrus stage it almost smelled like fruit loops to my nose. Very strange. Soft throw and decent staying power. I think I'll pass on this one.
  9. Oh, hi there, cardamom. This blend started out heavy on the ginger and then pretty much turned into a single cardamom note blend. Way to heavy and overwhelming for me, but if your a cardamom fan then you'll probably love this. Super strong throw and lasting power.
  10. When first applied this is almost all apricot, a super strong, synthetic smelling apricot. Thankfully once it dries down the raspberry note begins to come out. Like several of the other chocolate blends I've tried, I'm not getting any chocolate from this. While the fruit elements aren't very natural smelling, it's not too bad. I'll give it another go before I decide on wether or not to get a bottle.

    The Steeple

Very green, very herbal. This has a strong throw and lasts forever. It's not bad as green scents go, but not super interesting. Since I'm not a huge 'green' fan I'll pass on this one.

Dark Chocolate, Whiskey, and Cognac Truffle

I like this scent. It's a touch of chocolate but mainly spicy whiskey and cognac. It smells a bit masculine, but it works quite well on me. I may just need to pick up a bottle of this.

Dark Chocolate and Key Lime Truffle

When first applied this is primarily lime, I don't get any chocolate at all from this. The lime is sweet and light, it's very creamy. I absolutely love lime and this brings back memories of eating key lime in Key West. Bottle purchase, for sure. Doesn't have a lot of throw, sticks close to the skin and lasts for a decent amount of time.

    Inganok Jewelers

This definitely smells metallic. Very faint on my skin, not a lot of throw. A touch musty. Not something I'd ever wear regularly.

    Luperci

Basically this is a very masculine blend that smells like cheap aftershave with a sour, stale background. The description is right, this smells dirty, but in a really skeezy, gross way.
  16. Saya

    Severin

Citrus, black tea and a touch of leather. Starts of strong but then tapers off. Not too bad once it's had a chance to settle.

    Maiden

Spicy rose. I'm not a rose fan, but if I was, I'd be all over this blend.

    The Perfumed Garden

2007 version - This is heavy on the jasmine. It's a very perfumey floral scent which is a bit overwhelming. I think this bottle will need to find a better home.
  19. Saya

    Euterpe

Honeysuckle, carnation and iris are the dominant notes - in that order. This scent is so familiar, I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of. Maybe something LUSH? Either way, I love it. It's a bright, sweet scent that I'd slather with abandon if it wasn't discontinued. For now, I'll treasure my imp.

    Rome

Mainly cyprus and rose. I'm not much of a rose fan, but I keep on trying. I'm not sure why but this smells a bit stale. Going to the swap pile.

    Dragon's Musk

Starts off as Dragon's Blood with a floral touch (lilac, I think). After a while the musks start to come out. Nice blend. I'd have to be in the mood for this one, but it's not bad.
  22. Saya

    Manhattan

Citrus that fades within an hour of application. Swaps.

    Asp Viper (2006)

Delicious! The almond note is dominant and wonderful with the Snake Oil. Lasts a long time and has decent throw. A bottle purchase, for sure.
  24. Saya

    Lilium Inter Spinas

Starts of pretty but quickly turns into a sharp, bitting floral. Not my type of scent. Off to swaps.

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

Starts off a spicy violet, not your typical garden variety. I'm getting that and the vanilla, but no sign of gardenia. This was going strong for about two hours and then faded. Not faded away completely, just hangs close to the skin. I'll keep my imp to see how often I reach for it, if I empty it then I'll get a bottle.
