    Athens

Athens excited me because of my mad obsession with ancient Greece. However the scent does not live up to my expectations. In bottle: overpoweringly sweet, like nectar. It's definitely the honeyed wine that dominates this mix. Wet: It's slightly less sweet but still very much a mulled wine smell with the myrrh peaking through. Dry: The flowers come out but still the honey/wine smell is just too much. I also tried this as a room scent in my burner and it just makes my room smell like carmelized sugar This is my least favorite 5 ml so far so I'm most likely going to try and swap.

    Rome

Rome was my first experience to Bpal and it is one of my favorites. It is a beautifully classical scent In bottle: Rose and Cypress are what I smell the most, it is a bitter combination. Wet: Cypress is the strongest and thus it has a woody smell. Like a thick forest, I also imagine the forest coated in fog, giving everything a dampness, increasing its potency. Dry: The rose comes back, and it has brought chamomile with it. The woody scent dies down and the flowers bloom. Rose and chamomile are both very calming. They give off a warmth that puts me to sleep. I never really understood why some people wear bpal to bed until I tried it with rome. It is so relaxing for me.

    Whitechapel

Whitechapel was recommended to me in my introduction post. At first I was hesitant but I am glad I took the advice. In bottle: The lime is most present. It smells sweetly sour and delicious, like a lemon italian ice. The lilac is faint but detectable. It cuts the tart lime nicely Wet: Still the lime and also the Citron. It is zesty and crisp but not too powerful. Dry: The lilac reappears and the musk is faint but lovely. the Lime still goes strong. After a while the scent lulls into a calm breeze of lemon tequila. I find myself catching whiffs of this as I move. I love it, very clean and reminds me of a beachfront bar, drinking tequila shots in the warm breeze.

    Wilde

Wilde is truly an amazing scent. It remains the same on me from start to end and I'd like to assume that means my chemistry works perfectly with this scent. It is a strong and gentlemanly fragrance that reminds me of times when men wore tophats and coat tails. It is luxury in a bottle and I wear it accordingly so; definitely not a day to day scent. This is something I would wear to a wedding or an elegant party because it relays a simple message "I have good taste." and does so without being snooty.

    Port-Au-Prince

My first Bpal review. Be kind and keep in mind this is from a man's point of view. In bottle: The smell is very reminiscent of a cherry almond. Like the scented liquid soaps in public restrooms. Fortunately I drool over that smell. Wet: Again very almond, but the bay begins to emerge after airing. Dry: The almond has either faded away or is overpowered by the forceful clove. This is all I can smell for a few hours. but it fades down into a nice spicy musk that makes me feel exotic. A few hours later: The clove is finally letting up and I can catch the buttered rum, It doesn't whaft around the room like I would have hoped, but clings close to my skin. It's a very romantic, sensual scent. perfect for long dates where your man will dominate the air with clove, turning heads and making the room envious of your exotic love. And finally finish with the two of you naked in bed, nuzzled against his neck, getting drunk with each breath of the sweet and creamy rum.
