    Mi-Go Brain Canister

At first very sweetie....I dont know why but it reminded me of Midwinter's Eve. But now Im getting a bit more of the floral coming through. And a tad of citrus, must be the mango and pineapple. Its light sweet fruity fun. A very bubbly scent. It does not seem to be sticking around as much as some of my other faves, but I love this one enough to keep it....and just reapply.

    Sugar Cookie

Affectionately nicknamed 'The Devil's Bake Sale'. This was more of a spicy cookie...like say....a snickerdoodle. It was more cinnamon scnet that a nice buttery sweet scent....as I thought ....Sugar Cookie. Anything spicy...gets even spicier on me...and I didnt care for it at all.

    The Caterpillar

I have to agree with most people...this is green but not too green, floral but not too floral and earthy but not too earthy. Its a perfect blend of all three families. Its like sitting in a garden at dusk.
  4. I love sweet scents...and Im a Lush Rockstar/creamy candy/ candy fluff person. In BPAL ... the sweeter notes....that I've liked are: Jester Glitter Dorian Snake Oil Lady McBeth Midwinters Eve Midway -- very cotton candy

    Midway

I got to sniff this today.... Thanks Sara. It really does smell like the midway at a carnival.... ....its all candied apples, cotton candy, caramel popcorn, and elephant ears/funnel cakes covered in powdered sugar. It is similar in scent to Pink Sugar IMHO....maybe even better. I am so buying like three of these when it comes out.

    Centzon Totochtin

So far I dont like any of the oils with the rum in them. And this one...although faintly smelling like chocolate, the rum won out in the end and I just could not deal.

    Carnal

Traditionally I have always been fond of fig notes. This one is no exception. Its nice and sweet but with a sophiscated spicey kick to it. I rather like it, but dont see it being a staple.

    Neo-Tokyo

Very sweet and fruity. Crisp and fruity. Its not bad, but lighter fruity notes are not my favorites.

    Depraved

At first it was very musky, like going up into an old dusty attic. But as its dried down its become sweeter. I was thinking at first that it seemed to be a very nice combination of vanilla and patchouli. One of the most complex scents Ive tried from BPAL so far IMHO.

    Zephyr

I should have known I’d like this one right away. Vanilla and Sandalwood, two of my favorite notes. Its warm….soft but warm….sexy. As it dries it gets even softer, almost floral but in a good way….thank god. Must be the Vanilla making it a bit more of a sweeter floral. This would smell incredible on almost any woman I think. I like it and would probably wear it from time to time, but not enough to buy a bigger bottle.

    Wilde

I so wanted to like this, as Oscar Wilde is one of my favorite authors. It sounded so sophiscated and intellectual. But it reminded me of this fragrance I used to wear in 9th grade….Fahrenheit from Christian Dior. And I don’t need anything to bring back memories of high school. It was too man’s cologne smelling, similar to most men’s fragrances on the market today. At least I have my beloved Dorian to remind me of Oscar Wilde.

    Desire

This came across to me like a very musky vanilla. Must be a combination of the patchouli and vanilla, two of my favorite scents. Im surprised that it has rose, as I don’t like rose in anything, but I think the other notes overpower the rose. It comes across more warm and smoky vanilla. Musky vanilla. I think I will keep this one.

    Bon Vivant

An effervescent blend of crystalline champagne notes and sweet strawberry. I love this. Its so sweet, but not sickly sweet. It reminds of my childhood days, sitting on the front stairs eating Pixie Sticks. Or of my adulthood, Strawberry Mimosas at Sunday Brunch. Ha Ha. So clean and sweet. Makes me happy. I like this way better than Hollywood Babylon which was almost too much for me. This is softer, much nicer.

    Dragon's Blood

This smells like some very fakely scented house cleaner, like PineSol or something. Defintely not for me.

    Hellcat

A soft, sensual, luxuriant blend with a wicked bite: hazelnut, buttercream, honey mead, rum and sweet almond. I was told by someone that this smelled like yummy Chocolate on them. At first in teh bottle it was kind of a warm and sweet scent. On my skin it turned to a nice cherry smell. It was like opening a jar or Maraschino Cherries to add one to your cocktail. However it quickly turned very offensive, like Cat Pee. Why do I keep getting a few imps that smell like Cat Pee. I dont understand either, as I typically love Almond and Butter Cream notes. But for the same reason I thought I was going to like Gluttony, but it was just too much. Oh well, maybe someone else will enjoy this one.

    Black Phoenix

very herbaly, similar to Lush’s Tramp, but spicier. More of an incense type of smell. I like it, but not something I would wear very frequently, more like when I was feeling dark

    Cathedral

Very woodsy and almost grassy smelling. Kind of like moldy grassy wood. I dont care for it right away.

    Sudha Segara

Very light, warm and creamy. I like it, but Im not a great fan so far. I dont think Id would really wear it on a regular basis. Its almost too faint for me.
  19. ianastar

    Kabuki

In the bottle this was very sweet..... As soon as I put it on I got a whif of the cheeries. Very cherry scented..... Now as it is fading and wearing down....Im picking up an equal combo of the cherries and the licourice (which I am guessing is really the anise). This is nice, by the description you would think it would be like Cherry Twizzlers, but its heavier than that. More powerful, more licourice smelling. Very complex. Very gorgeous.

    Succubus

This smells like Lemon Pledge to me....very citrusy but in a kind of chemicaly acid way. Dont like it all.
  21. ianastar

    Lady MacBeth

The essence of ambition, covetousness and manipulation: sweet Bordeaux wine, blood red currant, thyme and wild berries. Wonderfully sweet berries. Like a berry cobbler....I just need the ice cream to go on top. Or a sweet berry sangaria as the wine starts to come out more. I like it enough to maybe order a bigger bottle.

    Morocco

I have an imp of Old Morrocco and Im not sure how much they differ. This smells an awful like Dior's Poison to me. This is the second imp in a week that Ive tried that has reminded me of Poison -- I cant think of the other off the top of my head right now. It spicy, but not in a cinnamon spicy way, more like a warm spicy floral note. My mother would love this as she can't live without her Poison. Reminds me of something very Gyspy like....another reason my mother would love it...shes very Bohemian Probably just not for me though.

    Jester

*Jester – very berry scented. Very sweet. And this has the best staying power of any of the other oils Ive tried so far. Not sure if I will do a big bottle of it or not…but I do like it.

    Psyche

    – Im not loving or hating this. At first try its very complicated, meaning hard to distinquish one scent or another. But on the dry down its got more of the rose coming through and since Im not a huge fan of rose, I don’t think I’ll keep it. But its weird because anything with rose turns me off right away, this is not that bad at all to me. Just not my thing

    Lex Talionis

Very strong at first whiff. Sounds so lovely with the mrryh, vetiver and sage. As it dried it was still too strong, I think Im getting more of the cedar and pepper as it smells like old wooden chest now.
