  1. I got this as a frimp- I thought it might be okay on me because of the nice non-floral notes, but this was all ROSE on me and I HATE rose. So, if you like roses you should try this one :P

  2. I didn't think that I would like this- but I do! I usually hate florals of any kind, but this is lovely banana-floral! Not as heady as I feared either. A light summer-y not-old-lady-ish scent.

  3. I got my hands on an imp of this- and I'm so glad that it smells pretty much like Penitence (GC) because now I don't have to go hunting for more of MM. It's a little stronger and sweeter than Penitence, but I don't like the added sweetness.

  4. I'm looking for my ultimate clove blend. I've tried Malice, The Smiling Spider, the Wild Men of Jezirat al Tennyn, Dracul, Wrath, Troll, and Madrid, and while many of them are very nice, and a few are in regular rotation, they haven't been what I was looking for. But every time there are new clove blends, I'm hopeful. Every time.

Have you tried March Hare? It's fruity but clove-y too.

  5. This scent is full of glorious amber. It also contains a floral element. On me, the floral is as strong as the amber. The floral makes the scent perfumey and pretty, which is not my style. I have a feeling The Lion is more my amber style. To the swaplist this goes!

  6. This blend is everything that I hoped for! The sandalwood was very prominent at first, which was okay, but I realized that the blend had separated - once mixed the resins come out and the blend is totally swoon-worthy! Not too sweet, or too dark. A perfect insence scent for daily wear. :P

  7. I really wanted to like Al-Azif because I am a huge resins/insense fan. Yet, for some reason I don't like Al-Azif at all! :P

I think it is because it is so sweet, and because there is a touch of floral in it. There is something that totally throws this one off for me. I agree with the review above- there may be a touch of jasmine in it- because jasmine nauseates me and Al-Azif kind of does too.

I've read comparisions to Pit and Pendulum, but I like Pit WAY better.

  8. A lethal poison bundled up in a dainty, innocent little package that was oft times found in ancient witches’ flying ointments and astral projection balms. A warm, soft, ruddy scent, earthy and mild.

I just put this on and thought "YUM!!". So yeah, it's good. It is some kind of earthy+vanilla+coconut+love or something, and yet not too foody.

  9. Root beer! Earthy, sweet, and bubbly...not a fan of the taste of root beer, but I love the scent. Incensey, but not preachy about it :P. Really nice, lively blend.

Now that I've read this all I smell is root beer when I first put on Penitence, but that isn't a bad thing! I agree also that it is a 'lively' blend- I was expecting the opposite, for some reason.

It does calm down into a more warm scent, which is lovely as well. I am very, very, pleasantly surprised with this one!

  10. In the imp it smells like fresh berries, but on my skin it smells like old, dusty berries - not good! Luckily it fades very quickly! Berry smells often smell too childish to me, so I thought I might like this one because it is "dark"- but it left me missing the bright fruity scents!

  11. On Me: Reminds me of those wierd cupcake dolls of my childhood. You know the ones, where their skirts were bendy plastic that you fold out to make her a princess, and fold in to turn her into a cupcake? Chocolate with some kind of cream, and a hint of cherry and orange. Tasty, but a little plasticy.

I agree! Actually it smells like a My Little Pony that I had that was cherry scented. I bought Vice because of all the good reviews, but on me it smelled like cheap plastic-y chocolate and cherry.
