Scent Recs based on your PERSONALITY!

You should totally try fae and elf! Fae is like, screaming at me for you. It's a spirited scent. Also, give lady Macbeth a try to match your purple hair. As far as limited editions you could try midnight on the midway or loi krathong, if you can hunt them down! Fae and Elf seem fated! I want to say thanks for telling me about Midnight on the Midway but I'm not so sure I'm grateful--it sounds so good, and I hope I can find it someday. Thank you so much!

"dusty Bible accord" don't mind if I do! All of those sound great, especially Picture Books in Winter--I'd love to track that down. Thank you!

    High-Strung Daisies

First review! In the bottle it smells--as many have said--like bubblegum. But there's kind of a roundness to it and a subtle spicy edge. I'm guessing that's the carnation. Wet on my wrist, the sugar takes over. It's very pink still and a little more aggressively confection-like. As it dries, the carnation comes back, and it shifts more sweetly floral than straight-up candy. It's pink and pretty--the bubblegum recedes, and a whisper of the pink pepper comes out. Ultimately it's sweet and spice, like the Powerpuff Girls. The first time I really wore it, a container of pink glitter opened up in my messenger bag and coated many of my belongings, which felt appropriate. I like High-Strung Daisies, and I bet I'll use up the imp at least--it'll be nice for hyper-girlish days.

Scent Recs based on your PERSONALITY!

scorpio/infp/4w5/Gryffindor I graduated from a self-parody of a liberal arts college last spring and now live in an intentional community with a bunch of other queer theology nerds (of which there are a lot in the world). Because I was raised Catholic, you’d think I’d want to escape religion as completely as possible, but I got really into medieval theology in college! And Catholic ritual still resonates with me/my sense of beauty. I tend to define myself with my relationships/what I get excited about, as opposed to my work (which right now is writing communications for a nonprofit). I pour a lot of energy into long-distance friendships (which belies the fact that I’m told I come off as standoffish at first--I don’t think I’m too cool to be friends with people, I’m just really shy!) and MY WRITING outside of work. Other things that eat up my time: my community, running, short stories, dancing, needlepoint, terrible teen TV. Someone called me a wood nymph once, which works with my own experience of my gender; sometimes I feel femme/inine and sometimes I feel fae, like I'm not a boy or a girl. I do love hiking a lot, and the sinister kind of fairy stories that take place in the forest, and I want to live someplace leafy and mountainous if I can. I call the way I dress “woodland creature/English teacher” and I like dying my hair to remind myself that I have dominion over my body. Right now, it’s purple.

Edit: Ah I jumped in line and I'm sorry! I'll try again later.
  6. Hey, sexy is in the eye (nose?) of the beholder! That being said, it's not surprising, sweet/spicy notes are things a lot of people feel sexy wearing/find sexy on other people. Eos in Excolo, with its honeysuckle and skin musk (skin musk seems to be similar to white musk, a light and "skin but better" kind of scent on most people, although skin chemistry can be a very variable thing), and Hermia in Illyria, which is honeysuckle and pink pepper, are light and feminine but with a little extra punch that might be what you're looking for. Thank you very much! I thought Hermia especially sounded yummy in its shop description, and it seems to have gotten really good reviews-- it seems like a good idea to give a whirl!
  7. I think I'd like a recommendation for something that maintains a bit of lightness and girliness while remaining rather sexy, as I generally don't go in for very heavy incensy or dark musky scents. I'm still looking for things for my first imp order, so I don't have BPAL experience, but the things my boyfriend has liked on me in the past were honeysuckle-based, or a combination of white tea and ginger. (Those don't seem very sexy though...)
