Voluptuous and indulgent! A deep chocolate scent, with black cherry and orange blossom. In Imp: Everything is smelling of almonds or cherrys today. Hmmm. Wet: It has chocolate and cherries in it. And it smells like it. Dry: Non-alchoholic version of love lies bleeding Not a foodie person, so this didn't do it for me at all! Too chocolately and cherry-y for me. If you like chocolate scents, though, you should love this! Marks out of 10: 3 Edited to add description (lol - just realised I was at the top of a new page!)

    Tavern of Hell

In Imp: Strong sharp smell but warm too. Wet: Not exactly citrus, but perhaps bergamot? Dry: Orange blossom is predominent but is well blended with the other notes to make a heady and exotic fragrance. Verdict: I absolutely love the heavy floral with the touch of citrus. The corriander and ebony wood (I think) give this an amazing grounded undercurrent of darkness. Adore it! Marks out of 10: 10

    Event Horizon

In Imp: Surprisingly light spicy floral smell. Wet: Sweeter floral spicy smell, slightly stronger. Dry: Ohh, this is getting stronger and stronger. Heavy opium, incense but with a sweet tinge to it. Verdict: This morphed dramatically on me. It started very light and ended up a dark heavy scent. I felt like it was sucking me into a vortex (in a good way ). It certainly made me feel as if I was disappearing into a dark place. I really like this one. I don't think it will end up in my top 10, but I may try in again as I found it intriguing and compelling. Marks out of 10: 7

    Les Infortunes de la Vertu

In Imp:Smells like freshly washed hair. Wet: A lovely fresh shampoo scent. Reminds me of a specific shampoo from years ago. Dry: A hint of new leather mixed with the shampoo smell. I really like this one. Verdict: I'm not really getting any of the specific notes here at all, apart from a whiff of leather occasionally. This is a wonderful clean scent. It would be great after having a bath on a really hot day, when you finally feel REALLY clean to slather this all over! Yum! Marks out of 10: 8

    Lust

In Imp: Dark floral and spicy. Wet: Musk coming out more but still with floral note and heavy spice. Reminds me of the sated look on someone's face post-orgasm. Dry: More spicy and musky than floral now. Very dark, dangerous fragrance...what a winner! Verdict: This is GORGEOUS! Floral and spicy, very sexy. Like one's darkest sexual fantasy. Erotic scent. I'm so happy about this as patchouli, especially mixed with musks, can do terribly funky things with my chemistry, but I adore this! Marks out of 10: 10

    Cockaigne

I'm not a foodie person , the minute I smelt this in the imp, I was so sad that I wouldn't like it. In Imp: Vanilla and maple syrup. Wet: Maple syrup and freshly cooked pancakes and melting butter with a slight floral undertone. Dry: Butter, vanilla, pancakes, freshly cooked scones. Verdict: If you love foodie smells, you will adore this! I really don't like smelling like food (apart from certain fruits) and this made me feel a little sickly. It is so sweet and foodie smelling that I had to wash it off. Marks out of 10: 1

    Le Serpent Qui Danse

In Imp: Mainly gardenia with a hint of violet. Wet: The vanilla is making this more creamy. Dry: I'm unsure about this. I'm not good with violets, they go weird and cloying on me sometimes, so I'll see how this goes. I really don't know. The violet is not very powerful, although I can smell it. The gardenia is very strong. Verdict: I have a feeling that this may not be a good smell for me. I don't think I'll be trying this again. Its beginning to give me a headache. I really have a problem with the violets, I think. If you like heavy floral smells, this may be the one for you. Marks out of 10: 1

    Dragon's Tears

In Imp: Floral and dragon's blood. Wet: Gorgeous, gorgeous! Gorgeous, gorgeous. Floral with undercurrent of dragon's blood and sandalwood? Dry: Salty undercurrents are surfacing, florals are receeding. The dragon's blood with salt and sandalwood (I think) are amazing together. Verdict: This is a lovely ozoney, salty soapy smell, the dragon's blood preventing it becoming too fresh and warming it. Marks out of 10: 8

    Sea of Glass

In imp: Freshly peeled orange. Wet: Like the spray that squirts out when you dig your finger nail into an orange to take the peel off. Dry: More floral with a hint of citrus and salt. Verdict: The jury's out on this one. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Its an extremely distinctive scent. I think it may be that I like it but wouldn't like to wear it. I'VE JUST REMEMBERED!!! Once its settled down, it smells like Eau de Givenchy! I think I may have to wait a few days and give this one another go. I used to wear Eau de Givenchy all the time when I was younger, so I may well like this given another try. Marks out of 10: 8

    Dragon's Bone

In Imp: Beautiful sandalwood touched with dragon's blood. Wet: Slight sweetness to this, but wonderfully balanced. I can't really pick out any of the notes in this now, it is just smelling warm and cosy, slightly sensual and lazy. Dry: Can just detect the orris, but its well in the background (which is good as violetty-type smells can be too cloying on me. Verdict: I absolutely adore this, it loves my skin, another addictive scent! Marks out of 10: 9

    Nocturne

In Imp: Violets, but not overpowering or too sweet. Wet: I can smell the violets and lilac equally, its a sombre combination for sure. Dry: The combination of the violets and lilac have become quite cloying, although its not a heavy scent. It feels a little oppressive, like tragic memories. Verdict: Sad, wistful violet. Smells like being alone in the middle of a beautiful garden at night. I have a feeling that I won't wear this again. Its not exactly that I dislike it, but it just really doesn't feel like me. It feels a little old and not warm/embracing enough for me. Marks out of 10: 4

    Black Dahlia

In Imp: Heady rose scent, like over blown roses that are wilting and loosing their petals. Wet: Very heavy floral, magnolias are cloying all over me now and fighting with the opressive rose smell. Dry: OMG, I've realised exactly what it smells like. Its like stale water that roses have been sitting in for too long and some of the petals have fallen into. Verdict: I usually like floral fragrances, but this is funking out on me. I think its the orchids, even though I can't actually smell them, they seem to be weirding out all the other notes. I'm really, really NOT good with orchids. I was hoping that they wouldn't do this to me again, but they have. Marks out of 10: 2

    La Vita Nuova

In Imp: Apples, oooh I love apple blossom. Wet: Slightly tart, very refreshing smell without being too sharp. Dry: Still apple blossom and a hint of citrus. I can't smell the white rose or champagne at all, but I suspect that they are rounding this fragrance out and that without them the scent would be too harsh. Verdict: I absolutely adore this, it a definite BUY A BOTTLE scent – perfect for a sunny day! It makes me feel happy! Marks out of 10: 10

    Jezebel

Sickly sweet. Smells like baby sick (sorry!) Wet: Warming up now, but still very sweet honey smell, touch of orange blossom and sandalwood. Dry: mainly honey and sandalwood, occasional whiffs of the orange blossom. Not an unpleasant smell, just too sweet for my nose. Smells a bit like honey on hot toast to me Verdict: I knew that I wasn't a foodie smell kinda gal, but I didn't think that the honey would be as dominant as it is. I can understand that this may be an appealing smell to some (and I do love honey), but I really don't like smelling of food. Marks out of 10: 3

    Oberon

In Imp: Pure Orchids but with a dry undercurrent. Wet: Very soapy. I usually like soapy, but this smells like a cheap harsh soap. I read one of the reviews said it smelt a bit like Ananya from Body Shop (which I adore!!), but I'm not getting that at all here. I love bergamot, but I can't smell it at all in this. Dry: The patchouli is peeking its head out a bit, but only a little, it is rounding the scent out a bit more. I think that I just don't like Orchids. Verdict: This has amped quite painfully and I'm smelling nothing but the orchids unless I concentrate really hard and keep sniffing. I just think that its either that it doesn't suit my chemistry or that I just don't like the poor beautiful orchid – which is such a shame! Marks out of 10: 4

    Death on a Pale Horse

In Imp: Slightly piney for some reason. But very slight. Musky but with soapy sandalwood very prominent. Wet: More pine (getting concerned – pine is not good on my skin). Dry: Wow changed. Piney smell has gone (I think this was the mint fighting with some of the other notes). This smells like riding through the wind, slightly ozoney but with the smell of damp earth grounding the fragrance. Its warm, yet cold at the same time, an intriguing combination. After a while the lilly became very prominent – this now smells like a church during a funeral, or a graveyard with the freshly fallen rain evaporating off the funereal wreaths. Verdict: I could wear this on a regular basis – very happy!!!! Marks out of 10: 8

    Peitho

In imp: Wow, this smells like my Aunt! Wet: Very cosmetic smell. Like face powder mixed with a bit of shampoo. Dry: More powdery. Feels like an embrace by an eldery relative when I was a child. Verdict: A bit sharp for my personal preference. Its a smell I like, but don't think I'd like to wear on a regular basis, if at all. Marks out of 10: 5

    Lorelei

In imp: Sharp chemical smell. Reminds me of my father's laboratories when I visited as a kid. Of a specific chemical – a certain acid or alkali that I used in school – can't quite pin it down. Wet: Same sharp chemical smell Dry: Smell has all but disappeared, very very faint on my skin. Smells like the memory of a dead person, but not in a good way. Verdict: I love all of the notes in this fragrance, but together they seem to do something seriously funky. I'm not sure if its my sense of smell or my body chemistry, but I'm so unhappy that they don't work for me. Marks out of 10: 1

    Dragon's Milk

In imp: Coconut and patchouli in imp. Weird! Wet: Patchouli... :? Dry: Ahh now its changing completely. The dragon's blood is predominant. I like the touch of vanilla. Its not too much, because vanilla can smell sickly on my skin, but this doesn't. I didn't think I would like this at all, but I'm finding myself VERY addicted to smelling it and smelling it...and sm... you get the picture! Lol! Verdict: It doesn't seem to last for very long on my skin though Half an hour later and I can bearly smell it! Pity! Very sensual smell. Would be good in the evening if it lasted a bit longer. Although I don't think I'd wear it very often, my initial addicted feeling is waning now. There doesn't appear to be much depth to this perfume, I'm not getting any other changes/notes to this scent at all since the Dragon's blood and vanilla made an appearance. Marks out of 10: 6

    Titania

In imp: Smells like pure grape juice - wonderful!!! Wet: Grape juice and peaches. Dry: I'm certain that I can smell the musk rose just underneath, it grounds this scent amazingly as otherwise it would be a little too sickly. The sweetpea is making an appearance now, which is wonderful. Reminds me of the sweetpeas my mother grew in our garden when I was a child. Verdict: It smells like a woman who is all girly and feminine yet always has an undercurrent of latent sexuality peeking through. Amazing smell, because I'm not a fan of peaches. I don't usually like them in scents and I hate the taste of them, yet I really like this fragrance. I don't think I'd wear this on a regular basis, but on occasion it would be very appealing - on a hot languid day. Its quite strong on me and has a good throw. Marks out of 10: 7

    Sophia

In imp: Ewww!!! TCP! Horrible disinfectant TCP smell Wet: Still just smells like concentrated TCP. Dry: Its getting stronger, it hurts my nose to smell it, I'm so disappointed! Verdict: I'm so sad, I can't get any of the lovely notes listed for this perfume. I've had to wash it off. Its not that its a headachy smell like some of the incensy/spicy fragrances, but it smells so strongly of disinfectant that I remember when I was a kid that I can't bear to smell it any more. I'm pleased that this works on some people, because the listed notes sound so nice! Marks out of 10: 0

    Ode on Melancholy

In imp: Slightly sweet (not too much). Main notes in imp Wisteria and a touch of white sandalwood. Wet: The sandalwood is coming to the fore now. Lovely feminine scent, reminds me of a soap I used as a child. Dry: Mainly sandalwood now, can't smell lavender or rose, although the wisteria has made a reappearance. Verdict: Ideal when you want to feel fragile and feminine beautiful. Strong, yet ethereal (if that's possible). Smells of nostalgic memories. Marks out of 10: 9

    Fallen

In imp: ooohhhhhh!!!! Wonderful. Creamy and sweetish. Main notes in imp white sandalwood and violet. Wet: Addictive smell. Quite strong when wet. Good throw. Very soapy (I think this is the sandalwood, but I like this). Dry: Doesn't have any of the woody notes or vertiver making an appearance on me, which can be a good thing as dry woody notes sometimes make perfumes a bit funky on my skin. Still really really strong sandalwood and violet smell - amazing! But there are other florals dancing around making this a gorgeous smell. Verdict: My daughter smelt it and immediately said - "I want to eat it", I know what she means, even though its not a foodie smell at all. Totally addictive – I want a bottle NOW!!! Marks out of 10: 20 (lol - but I love it so much!!!)

    Haunted

In imp: Sweet citrus. Smells like...mmmm...what is that smell....oooh I know! LEMON SHERBETS! Takes me back to my childhood! Wet: Still very lemony, but not too sweet. Dry: Still totally lemon sherbets with an undercurrent of coconut. Good throw. Verdict: I really like this one, but I'm not sure why, it doesn't evoke any of the feelings that I thought it would. And I'm not a foodie smell person, but it feels really upbeat and happy on me with a slight wistful memory of my childhood attached. I'd have to be in a very positive mood to wear this. I don't think I'll buy a bottle simply because I think that I'd get fed up with the whole foodie feel for me, but its very pleasant. Marks out of 10: 8

    Burial

In bottle: Extremely chemical smell, I first thought of formaldehyde and wasn't at all sure about this fragrance. It definitely smelt of death to me. Wet: The extreme formaldehyde has calmed down somewhat, leaving a sharp acidic smell. There are undertones of wet compost coming through a bit. Dry: Wow, acidic smell has totally gone now. It completely smells of wet earth. I feel like I could be standing inside a freshly dug grave just after the rain. I've been smelling this on me all day - I'm worried what other people might think that I smell like...lol! But personally this is very interesting. Verdict: I will have to be in the mood for this, a bit melancholic maybe, but I can see me loving this long term. Marks out of 10: 7
