  1. I tried on "Body, remember", I loved it so much I had to read the poem, and it's wonderful - at school I always thought Kavafis was a bore!

On me, mostly sugar cane, with an underlying coconut note. Coconut and ambergris as usual working very well with me.

  2. Wet: paper, really assertive and true, it must be the Egyptian musk

Later on: vanilla, not foody (which is the one I like), I don't get cardamom, maybe just a faint spiciness, but I guess it's keeping vanilla and sugar from being sweet.

  3. It's almost identical to Snow White - not as pure, just a vague hint of something else; slightly fruity (strawberry?) when wet, grassy close to skin. No rose, no mint. I quite like it, even if Snow White is my fav, but it's a nice change. By the way, it seems to perform the same Snow White magic, maybe I just feel something in the air that make me reach for that kind of scents: when I wear it, it snows * * *.

  4. Snow White. Other oils have a snow note, this one is just snow. Sublimating snow, actually: it smells like the haze that sometimes lingers on snow on a crystal clear and cold sunny day. Tested a few days ago; I was wearing Snow White, I already knew it was just like snow, but when I came across that haze I almost startled, I didn't realize before how much Snow White was the perfume version of it. It's snowing even tonight, and my Snow White is being used a lot this winter..

  5. Grassy, with a pleasant undertone of resins, a hint of patchouli, and a creamy note.

    Very natural, easy, relaxed

I don't like grassy notes - nor I really dislike them either, but I can see myself wearing Aperotos Eros a lot

  6. Very dark (hello opium poppy), floral (that must be the rose), and sparkling (an almost citrus note, but it is the lavender instead). I know opium poppy is a winner on me, but I had some doubt on rose and lavender... I must admit those tree notes work together very well!

  7. Mostly caramel (reminiscent of Red Lantern), but not as strong, which is a good thing (at least, in term of office wearability). Then gloppy honey and hot milk. I'm not very fond of those two notes, but they are very light and not at all queasy. A lot lighter and fresher than expected, I really like it and I'm already getting compliments. A few hours later the wine comes in; but it'not the usual pink bubblegum I get, it's a hint of something sour and bitter - much more like real wine. A sort of subdued version of Red Lantern, genteel rather than haughty

  8. Bpal narcissus was a big surprise to me - it's not just a floral I can do, but the only one I positively love, apart from orange flowers, which though gorgeous I began being bored of.

My favorite is Hades, but Darkness and Hunger follow very close. They are all pure daffodil to me, just with a different attitude.

The Ides of March, after aging, is mainly jonquil - a fresh one. I've ordered a imp of Languor, and I can't wait to try Virgo - being a Virgo myself, but I'll be likely on holiday and far from any internet access when it will be released.

  9. Mad Sweeney is absolutely amazing: how can a perfume oil with no alcohol smell just like it? After the first alcohol blast I get whiskey, I love its smell - my mother used it to add flavor instead of coffee - and not at all drinking it, the only alcohol I drink being exceedingly sweet wines. Drying down it becomes peat, at least what I imagine peat to smell like, whit a faintly sweet note. Incredibly comforting. I might consider buying a bottle.

  10. I can't believe I'm running through my imp in less than a week.

At first very sweet, juicy, tart and fragrant mango -the fruit of fruits -, then the fig earthiness joins in. I can't detect any tea, but I suppose it keeps the whole thing from going syrupy as some other fruit blends, and adds a "that's real, fresh fruit" vibe - as in my beloved Bewitched.

Actually, I can see why my imp life is going to be a short one..:P

  11. Coconut, musk and chill. Very white and creamy. No florals at all - a good thing in my book. The coconut is not suntan oil coconut, it's raher dessicated and grinded coconut pulp. It stays quite true, but it gets chiller and chiller. Long lasting and good throw too.

At first I tought it was sort of too plain, and then I realized it is the Yule LE I'm wearing the most.

Tender and understated, yet compelling. Definitely a winner.
