  1. I never thought I'd say this about a scent, but this smells positively *EVIL*. Not in an, "I'm going to kill you" sort of way, but in a deceptive, plotting, underhanded sort of way. To illustrate to you just how strong this feeling was, let me just say that I was trying a ton of imps that had arrived earlier that day, was duly ecstatic, tried Entropy, and my good mood died almost immediately. It was shocking. But it was intriguing.

I'd never smelled anything like this, so I can't really tell you what notes stood out on me. To be honest, I couldn't even detect the individual notes -- it was all completely and totally uniform. I'd only smelled uniformity like this before in single notes.

Overall, though, I thought it was very unique, and quite nice once you get used to it. I'm going to get a big bottle of this and wear it when I feel like intimidating people :P

  2. Well, it smelled gorgeous in the bottle. I wanted to love it. I really did.

Put it on -- immediately morphed into the smell of Robitussin.

Left it on, hoping it would mellow, and it smelled like stale Robitussin

    ... :P Oh well. There's always Antony.

  3. This one's a winner, one of my favorites so far. I just slathered on about half my imp -- definitely going to need a big bottle of this!

Koumori is right, there's nothing girly about this scent at all. Classical masculinity like the description says. I was so disappointed when Czernobog turned into Robitussin on me, Iago just wasn't my thing, and my chemistry immediately soaked up Villain, but Antony more than makes up for this. Not only does it completely work, but it's a very *me* scent. It exudes a sense of strength, nobility, and piousness. Nice, nice stuff.

*sniffs self again* Oh yes. Big bottle, now. My only complaint is that I wish it were stronger, but it's strong enough.

  4. The Dark Side of Fire: cinnamon, bitter almond, and neroli. Heavily spiced, torrid, and possibly conflagrant.

First of all, I'd like to say that when Elizabeth warned it was "possibly conflagrant", she was not kidding. I had to open the imp with my teeth, and when I did, the fumes scorched the pores of my face. I was a little scared for a minute -- "I'm letting this soak into my skin?" -- but it was fine on my arm, no trouble at all. Just don't put it on sensitive skin and everything will cool.

The inital impression is CINNAMON! I mean, cinnamon *attack*. It is strong, strong, strong, and I can't smell anything else under it. After about an hour, though, the almond starts coming out, and later, the neroli. Cinnamon remains the dominant note but weakens as the scent mellows, so you get cinnamon with a nice spicy undercurrent after on drydown.

Overall, I really like this scent. It's nice and strong and spicy. If it's what you're looking for you can't go wrong here :P

  5. I love this scent. Out of all the BPAL scents I've tried so far, it's my absolute favorite. Maybe it just didn't work with your body chemistry, as this is heavenly on me. When it goes on, it's more tangy, but I don't smell any kind of rot like you did. The thing I like best about it, though, is how it just gets progressively sweeter and sweeter on the drydown. After it's been on all day, it's amazing.

  6. I love this scent. My first thought was that it smelled like a memory, too. My only complaint is that it's a bit subtle, so if you want something strong this isn't it. You'll think it's gone, then turn your head, and get a noseful of it...nice.

  7. I always thought it smelled like a sweet, sugary cinnamon. Especially during dry down. Then it smells very strongly of cinnamon. Rosy cinnamon.

Well, someone else said it smelled of Coca-Cola on them, I suppose this one's just different on everyone! I like it, though. It's a bit too feminine for me to order a whole bottle, but I would recommend it.
