  1. in the bottle: flowers, namely rose, & violet

wet: roses, and violets. hint of apple blossom and poppy.

this is a summery floral. nice change from spring florals. it reminds me of a very sophisticated woman, in a billowy flowery sun dress, and huge floral sun hat, sitting in a shady spot overseeing her garden party.

  2. in the bottle: peppermint. actually smells like a york peppermint patty.

wet: yup york peppermint patty. since everyone is comparing i shall also. lickit was a sweet candy cane, snowblind was a buttermint, soft vanilla hint of peppermint. and t.s. is the smooth creamy inside of a york peppermint patty, absulotely delicious, and stays true through every stage.

after a long dry down, of a couple hours, it becomes and uber soft vanilla, the mint burns off, and the vanilla is soft, sweet, innocent smelling, and totally up my alley

  3. in the bottle: faint, desserty scent.

wet: woods. strong, dry wood. w/ a hint of patchouli, and something peppery.

as it dries, it is peppery and woody, and dark. a scent i definitely can see myself wearing. the only time i get any of teh foody/sweet scents is in teh bottle, and i never get apricot.

  4. in the bottle:carnations? something is wonky w. my nose i swear. i am gussing it is the myrrrh making my nose think carnations

wet:deep black musk, and myrrh, the carnation feel is gone as soon as it hits my skin, and it becomes prominently musk

as this dries it is a musky, myrrh, w/ a hint of balsam. a dark swarthy scent, gorgeous and mysterious.

oh just adding i don't get teh masculine thing, this is just a deep resinous scent, and some of us gals sport it w/o feeling at all masculine *shrugs*

  5. i was excited for this, i loved the last one, and had high hopes for this one...

in the bottle: smells like concentrated white grape juice, and a splash of pomegranate.

wet: the honey peeks up to say hi, i still get a pretty large amount of grape, it does smell tropical somehow.

i think the milk in this is making it remind me of a tropical drink, the milk combining w/ the fig somehow smelling like coconut? because when it dries this is a cold, wet, pinacoloda on a warm summer evening. i looove it.

  6. A deceptively sweet scent; just like the Critters themselves, the perfume is fluffy, poofy, soft, snuggly, and googly! Five vanillas with Moroccan jasmine, white gardenia, and pink grapefruit. The bottles that accompany the Critters have a grr-specially kyoot label, designed by Jennifer Williamson.

in the bottle: soft citrus, i was thinking orange at first but now i realize it is grapefruit, and soft vanilla.

wet: jasmine, but softer then usual jasmine. and vanilla, w/ a hint of pink grapefruit i also get a hint of the sweet waxy gardenia

as this dries it retains a very soft, fluffy feel indeed. it is sweet, and floral, and feminine the jasmine, surprisngly, is behaving itself and it is a vanilla/gardenia blend. no sign of the citrus anymore. just a very innocent, fluffy, feel good scent.

eta after quite a bit of drytime, this reminds me strongly of underpants w/ a soft floral background

and after a few hours, it is almost completely like underpants, maybe underpants' wee innocent sister

  7. DED MOROZ
Grandfather Frost! Accompanied by his granddaughter, Snegurochka, the Snow Maiden, he bestows gifts to virtuous and hard-working people, rewarding their decency and integrity, and punishes those who are lazy, shiftless, and unkind, killing their fields with frost, cracking the trunks of their trees, and destroying their homes.

The first incarnation of Father Frost was not at all benevolent. He was the personification of the darkest aspects of winter, winter's destruction incarnate. He kidnapped unruly children, and slew people capriciously by freezing them to death.

Light, darkness, kindness, and malice: golden amber, white amber, redwood, teak, bois du rose, sage, tree moss, and snow.

The label is the same as all the 06 Yuletide scents.

waaahhhhhooooo, this finally arrived, i couldn't wait!

in the bottle:very light scent, slightly green smelling and something almost
minty, this smells somewhat familiar, yet not something i can readily place my finger on.

wet: hmm, yes there is something slightly minty here, even though i don't see mint as a listed ingredient, but it isn't a pepperminty scent, i am getting i think spearmint? and the very faintest whiff of "snow" and the barest touch of sage.

this is such a soft scent, up close i get something greenish, and minty, but so amazingly light. the waft of teh scent is a soft almost powdery scent, but not old lady powder, more the soft fuzzy powder type feel. not florally, not slushy, just a fuzzy, almosty hazy, minty, goodness. i also at this point can detect an aura of redwood, it confused me at first i was thinking evergreen, but then when the scent settles, i realized it was redwood and teak, more redwood though. the longer this is on, the more the scent settles and melds into this beautiful, comforting scent, it is definitely a cool scent, definitely a soft scent and definitely a scent i am proud to own.

adding after a long drydown time, this does get a hint of rose, it is a very soft rose, not sharpness even hinting at the edges, and teh amber really starts to step forward as teh mint softens

i really hope beth can resolve the component issues, and offer this. i love it.

  8. in the bottle: this reminds me of eat me, a yummy, sweet dessert

wet: still very much dessert, but the currant is starting to arrive.

as this starts to dry the roses come in to play. but it still retains its desserty yumminess. this is a sweet currant dessert w/ rose icing. what a gorgeous blend of floral and foody. i adore this!

  9. in the bottle: pepper, ginger, and faint florals.

wet: ginger pepper., not a cookie type ginger, more like fresh ginger root. more pepper then ginger

as it dries this becomes a softer blend, somewhat floral, i definitely can smell the dragon's blood, but not when my hand is up to my nose, just in teh waft when my hand moves around. this is perfectly done, dragon's blood w/ pepper and ginger. i am an aries, and i very much love this scent, it is spicey, a bit hot, and just a tidbit of sweet.

  10. in the bottle, coconut meat, i can almost taste it. and a background of musk.

wet: still and insence blend. mostly coconut, and some incesne swirling around there.

this dries in to a soft coconut, sandalwood, this is a jammie scent, soft, comforting. flannel pj's. LOVE IT!

  11. in the bottle: smut only amped up.

wet: the honey becomes more prominent, but it retains that smutty edge. although this is not as sweet as smut, and has a sharper edge.

after this scent dries, it still retains a similarity to smut, but it is smut that has rolled around in some honey, making this a soft, stickey, sexy smut. i loved smut, still do, some of yall have seen my smut hut, and this is every bit as good as smut. i am so glad i can get some anytime i like.

  12. in the bottle: phlox, just like fresh phlox, w/ a hint of carnations.

wet: carnations w/ a hint of phlox, and some sweet sugar

as it dries only one word can summarize this gorgeous blend. SOFT. it is fluffy, soft, sweet innocent, reminds me of floating on a big pink cloud of cotton candy. the carnation is barely there w/ a sweet vanilla antique lace type scent, i would say this is a.l. w/ carnation. gorgeous.

  13. i am scared to open this vial...jasmine??? but alas i simly must. and i hope jasmine uncharacteristically behaves.

    in the bottle: strong floral.

    wet: honeysuckle...not getting much else.

hmm, i don't get my usual jasmine reaction w/ this (usually get rusty nail from jasmine) instead i am getting a more lily, waxy clean reaction, the honeysuckle burns off fast, and then this becomes a springy white floral. nothing really soft about it, but it isn't sharp either.

so i guess i would sum up the scent as a strong honeysuckle opener, drying into a very white, clean, spring floral.

  14. i always joke around saying i "bathe" in snake oil.....actually i just slather it. but anyways now i bathe w/ snake oil :P the packaging was so pretty i was hesitant to even open it, but the soap tempted me past that. the inner packaging is just as pretty. and the soap is divine. stunning, silky, soft, lathers nicely. the scent is light fresh snake oil, and although i could smell it in my hair after my bath, i didn't really detect too much on my skin....which is good so my soaps don't interfere w/ my oils. i am just in love w/ these soaps.

  15. in the bottle: mossy, earthy, dark.

wet: deep turned earth. and spanish moss, no salty ocean spray, not a hint of florals. just a deep dark earthy scent.

as it dries it lightens just a bit to let the ocean scent peek in, but then it clouds over again w/ the darkness. like a storm when a small ray of sunlight breaks through, but then the clouds crowd it out again. all in all a dark scent, very very earthy.

  16. in the bottle: woody, musky, something so faintly floral, i can almost miss it

wet: a wet, slushy scent, still the woody note (like a fresh cut branch), and a very light soft breath of something floral, it almost reminds me of baby's breath

this dries in to a soft, sweet, slightly musky, clean, w/ a hint of baby's breath type floral. i wonder what gives me the baby's breath impression.

  17. in the bottle: fruity! peaches possibly melon, and citrus.

wet: uber fruity. peaches, and tangerines. which make quite the enchanting combo!

this is sweet. juicy, and i mean juicy like makes my mouth water. i don't get many flowers, this is like a big bowl of fresh fruit salad. a fun summertime scent! but wait just when i give up hope of peonies making an appearance, there they are mingling their big fat heads w/ my fruit bowl. peonies are so sweet, and innocent smelling to me, blended w/ teh fruit they are incredibly sweet, fresh, and innocent, so innocent i am unsure if i can actually pull off this scent...maybe when i dress like a school girl, but i don't think i would really fool anyone :P

  18. in the bottle: dark swirling incense. almost sucking me in to the bottle they are so hypnotizing

wet: no florals here. just s deep dark incense blend. sexy is putting it mildly

as it dries i can detect a bit of the nutmeg, but only around the edge of the scent, not front and center. i also think i smell some sandalwood, but again it is so well blended it makes it hard to seperate out in to individual notes. the longer it is on the skin, the more i can detect teh flowers. but they are not overbearing. this is very much an incensy blend, with a slight touch of dark florals.

this quite possibly is one of my favorite bpal scents ever. it is sooooo deep, dark, and sexy!

  19. The smoke stung Shadow’s eyes. He wiped the tears away with his hand, and, through the smoke, he thought he saw a tall man in a suit, with gold-rimmed spectacles. The smoke cleared and the boatman was once more a half-human creature with the head of a river bird.

Papyrus, vanilla flower, Egyptian musk, African musk, aloe ferox, white sandalwood.

in the bottle: very very light scent. slightly vanilla, slightly floral. hint of musk.

wet: a juicy, wet scent. sweet. i still detect the musk, sandalwood, and aloe, the most. yet it is slightly floral also.

this scent is very very light. soft, and gentle. teh sandalwood and musk are light and clean, the aloe winds its way through here and there just keeping things juicy smelling. and the vanilla flower adds a subtle floral base that gives this fragrance a hint of femininity.

  20. There was a family resemblance between the two men. That was unarguable, although that alone did not explain the intense feeling of familiarity that Fat Charlie felt on seeing Spider. His brother looked like Fat Charlie wished he looked in his mind...Spider was taller, and leaner, and cooler. He was wearing a black-and-scarlet leather jacket, and black leather leggings, and he looked at home in them...There was something larger-than-life about him: simply being on the other side of the table to this man made Fat Charlie feel awkward and badly consructed, and slightly foolish. It wasn't the clothes Spider wore, but the knowledge that if Fat Charlie put them on he would look as if he were wearing some kind of unconvincing drag. It wasn't the way Spider smiled--casually, delightedly--but Fat Charlies's cold, incontrovertible certainty that he himself could practice smiling in front of a mirror from now until the end of time and never manage a single smile one half so charming, so cocky, or so twinklingly debonair.

White ginger, artemesia, vetiver, nutmeg, King mandarin, bergamot, and lime.

in the bottle: mandarin, lime, and ginger

    wet: sweet citrus, slightly clean.

as it dries the ginger and nutmeg become more prominent. the citrus less so. but it has taken an herby turn. i assume from the artemesia (wormwood i believe). this is incredible sexy slightly spicey. i can wear it and i also know it will smell amazing on my dh.
