OMG where do i start? think of a mixture of O and snake oil with a dash of bordello/blood amber if i could swim in a vat of this i would interestingly it is the same scent on my skin after an hour as it is in the bottle....i love this

not so sure about this one.......it's very, very buttery. once it's been on my skin for 10 minutes or so it's less buttery and all the autumnal goodies start to come through.....it might just be spicy enough for me to keep it and love it. ETA that i don't think i can get past the buttery-ness......it make sme feel sick before the spices come through

the thing about selling BPAL that doesn't work for you is that you end up with a huuuuuge pile of money in paypal just waiting to be sent to the lab...........i had no idea about pumpkin patch when i said i needed the money for new orders....i thought i was talking about wolf's heart and block buster along with 10mls of somnus and oneiroi. do not tempt me into buying more or my next post will be asking about postage for 20 or 25 items.....i kid you not

as far as pumpkin patch is concerned i take it for shipping purposes it counts as 5 items and not 1? i have 4 bottles and pumpkin patch to order so presumably i add shipping for 9 items not 5?......wouldn't it still be $11 for both? [/confused]

i didn't get any of the jasmine that most other people got from this....which is a shame as i love it! this to me is lavender with something herbal behind it. i thought i could detect rosemary rather than florals. can't tell you what it's like once dry as i tend not to be awake when that happens

this scent is pure leather.....now as a vegetarian i thought i might find this unsettling, but i bought 5ml for himself anyway as he is a biiiiiig clint eastwood/spaghetti western fan so might appreciate the western name! He has an old, tan suede jacket that he refuses to take off in autumn. dead man's hand smells like he does when he wears it. it's a comforting, warm smell......his reaction was that it 'smells of new shoes' lol...he's right

to me this was bewitched's winter sister. it had all the berries and mossy heather but with an added frostiness.....gorgeous

in the bottle this smells of mint chocolates. Once on my skin the coconut comes through. It smells just like burts bees coconut foot cream! It's a mix of mint and coconut. my only quibble is that sometimes it smells like the two are fighting for dominance. it not my fav scent but it would be perfect as a pick me up on a sluggish day or when hungover* *or so i have been told. being a good girl i couldn't possibly comment *ahem*

Demeter's wet garden? It's all April showers weather here at the moment. So it's not *too* cold but very damp and this demeter's perfume captures it totally. I'm not too up to date on BPAL green type scents so am asking the experts! Any ideas?

before i got andrabell's excel sheet (thanks for that btw lol) i copied and pasted the BPAL descriptions into word and printed out a 53 page booklet lol i would then write on it next to the names a couple of words on what i thought of them.......some of them are more useful than others....('makes me think of childhood'...yep that's really gonna help me decide whether i liked that one or not and what scent it had 8 months from now.....) i still have it and am in the process of copying it onto the excel sheet with a colour key of liked (blue), loved (green), disliked (red)...

i don't know if this has been mentioned but hell's belle and perversion smell so similar that i could only justify getting a 5ml bottle of one scent not both!

i always find that i'm more likely to react to oils if i put them on straight after a shower or bath. i have to leave it half an hour or so otherwise ones that i don't react to normally will cause a red burning welt on my skin.

i'm on of the people that can't use certain cinnamon scents as they burn, especially eclipse and inferno. three witches however was the only proper cinnamon scent i'd tried that i could wear without the red burning skin. odd thing is that three witches smells so cinnamony and eclipse and inferno smell almondy to me.....maybe i react to almond as well my fav smell is cinnamon as well..... *goes off to cry*

velvet is just sandalwood to me. sometimes there's a faint cocoa-ness hiding behind it but not very often......

i bought 5ml of this for my gothy 13yo son. He loves it. Neither of us can smell roses whether dried or not. All we can smell is an earthy mossy smell......it is similar to demeter's dirt spray but of course has more depth to it. it's freshly dug soil next to a mossy lichen covered rock no one tell him it's got roses in. He'll never wear it again!

I have lots of work to do but can never motivate myself to do it until the deadline is touching my nose! I haven't really a clue what scents are meant to be good for this so can't do a search on the site for a suitable oil (if any) and that's if BPAL contains essential oils (I'm not sure what 'perfume oil' is) but i have a feeling BPAL does contain essential oils..... any ideas to help a poorly motivated person?

Sweet, smoky and sensually wicked. A thick, steamy scent, truly sinister in its voluptuous sexuality. The perfume of a demon's favored consort, or of the devil herself. Oleander with wet, sweet mandarin, lush magnolia, a rush of deep musk and a touch of spice. in the bottle you can smell the smokiness and the creaminess. once it's on your skin and is dry it semlls the same as perversion to me. perhaps a bit smokier. it has a spicy floral smell to it. like peppered flowers! i like it and just like perversion i can smell coconut when there isn't any

golden priapus was quite tobacco-y to me.... i got it for himself and never got as far as trying it on him because i knew he'd hate it. i wish the vanilla came out more on mine as he loves vanilla. mine was just pine and smoke

just had a thought ......my 13yo gothy son loves burial and zombi..... the other generally masculine scents smell too much for him, especially the tobacco-y ones (which most seem to be). Any ideas what other ones might be good for his age group?

This is another one i have difficulty describing beyond "I like it"! In the vial I can smell a green, frosty coldness. That makes it sound that I'm smelling a Scandinavian scent not one from Asia! On my skin I cannot pick out what the green smell is but for the coldness I keep thinking of neon signs. The big, buzzing, flickering neon signs that have a certain smell to them; like a faint sharp smell. It really makes me think of manga. especially the more futuristic kind. Think pink haired young girl with green eyes and a metallic bikini type suit of armour that barely covers her over developed breasts. She'd wear this perfume

This one has me stumped! I like it. I really like it, but I cannot for the life of me fathom what scents I can pick out. It all comes together to give a creamy spicyness. if I had to choose one I'd say ginger because it has that tingly smell that fresh and dried ginger have. So ginger oatmeal it is then!

I've never tried a pomegranate martini but I have tried champagne cocktails. This smells exactly like that. I wasn't expecting to like it at all as i thought it would be sharp and alcoholic (in a pure alcohol way not a particular alcoholic drink), but it is fruity, sweet (with a hint of citrus sharpness) and has a fizzy champagne scent to it. I adore this! It's one of the scents that most people don't even give a second glance, but they are seriously missing out! ETA that on the strength of this perfume i recently ordered a pomegranate martini in a bar decked with rich tan leather sofas. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

i normally wear the lighter milkey, vanillary scents such as dragon's milk, dana o'shee and o to work. one colleague always tells me i smell gorgeous! but he is the only one lol
