    Thunder Moon

Thunder Moon was a complete surprise. First on it reeked (in a very good way mind you) of Nylarthotep! which is in my top 5. I twitched a little bit with it first on not too sure if i liked it or not (just as i did with the aforementioned) then i caught the same note that I adored in Nylarthotep. While the two scents are comparable Thunder moon is more feminine to my nose, perhaps its just how my chemistry changed it. After having it on all day and seeing it morph from spicy and clean and almost citrus now its all sugary and whatever gives the feminine softness that I'm picking up from is at the top of its game, theres a watery, even slightly electric quality further back. Thankfully I don't get a floral out of it (they don't work on me). More marks in the amber and aquatics tallies.

    Cancer 2007

Cancer definably seems like a, well cancer scent to me. It embodies the things that first jump to mind about the star sign : Calm, somehow oddly appealing with that snap hiding in the background. In the bottle : Swore I smelled peaches, probably because I've been thinking about them all day, after re-reading the description its must be pear. First on (wet) : Soapy. But a good soapy. Florals don't work well on me at all so my heart sank when i first smelled it. Then i realized that its not punchy or spicy as flowers tend to be for me and smells much much more watery then anything else. (woo!) Dry down : Water all over. The chamomile pops out and I think thats orris too is peeking out. Juicy pear scent is still recognizably there but toned down. It might in the distance be comparable to being a sweet non-salty Penthus. This is a bottle that I might look for a duplicate of, its tying, maybe above, on my favs list right there with Tamora and Snake Charmer.

    Bayou

Imp: strong and somewhat astringent. Someone mentioned evergreen and thats just about the only way i could describe it. Wet: Think its going on lemon. But its not bitter citrus that i asscociate to lemons or citrus at all. Moss is barely in there so far. Dry Down: Sweet sweet heady moss. Deffinatly not a candy/sugar sweet (tytytytytytytyty). Rubbing my wrists together does the trick to get the moss to really shine. One half-hour after application: Floral and moss with a bit of citrus kicker -maybe-. It might just be another aspect of moss. I've never persoanly smelled the stuff. Summery: Fragrant heat. You step outside on a hot day and your front yard is a cocophony of tropical flowers and it's just rained the night before. That, i think, is bayou. Lastnight i ordered a 5 ml of this. At first when i got my order and i got this as a gifted one (i think). In fact i hated it and wouldn't even try it. Now my imp is gone and i'm mourning its loss. But isn't that hte way it usualy is?

    Aquatics

Penthus. I haven't tried any other watery scents, or those listed above. Penthus though, to me, is like heavy rose water. It's clearly rosey and warm in that sense, almost powdery, and then theres a clean smooth finish on it from a distance though. ^.^ After a while it gets more 'warm water' then roses though which is nice since it comes on strong rose at first. edit: I also second Bayou. It's great and clean but dark water smell with a lovely greenness to it.
