  1. " in the case of Tintagel, an instantaneous rash which I needed to treat with immediate washing and antihistamine. I don't just mean some itching. I mean raised weals where I put the oil on my skin and silver dollar sized red, angry rash.

Edit: Blood Countess and Tann'iver both gave me rashes too.

    "

This was my reaction with a brand new bottle of Death On A Pale Horse. I put it on Wednesday before I went to work, and by 10 am, it looked as though I had burns on my neck. It was very itchy and stung. Today [saturday], it still itches when I touch the area, but the raised welts are at least gone. Under the flourescent lights in my kitchen, I can see a rash that looks like tiny insect bites.

I love the oil, and it's breaking my heart. :P

  2. Count Dracula! :P

I'll agree with lookingglass on the Count. I got a brand new bottle from an EBay auction last week, and I've worn it every day. It's aged about 18 months, no? It's strong clove and cinnamon, and a little leather. It actually stung a little when I put it on my neck. I'm in love... :D

I'll be haunting EBay and the forums to find another bottle for next winter....

  3. I am also very new to the whole BPAL experience. Matter of fact, my second BPAL purchase has turned me into a great fan of patchouli:

    PIRATE MOON

From the description: "Red musk, ambergris, coconut palm, red sandalwood, balsam, date, warm leather, tobacco, ebony, lingum vitae wood, pandanus grass, an' a touch o' lime."

Nope, no leather, no tobacco, and no lime....

On me, a very pretty, light patchouli. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it smells great on me.
