  1. A sweet, foodie scent, like a creamy pistachio custard/flan sprinkled with cinnamon. The creamy, nutty, and spicy notes are well balanced. If you’re cinnamon-averse, it is pretty strong in this blend. I don’t really get “marzipan” or “buttercream”, or “clove” for that matter, but that’s just me.

Honestly, this reminds me of a more delicate, sophisticated Perilous Parlor.

    Yes!

I really loved The Perilous Parlor with its sweet pear and vanilla combination. Pearl Necklace is like a more sophisticated version, with delicate powdery orris and honey added to the mix. The pear is still the star of the show, and the other notes serve to accentuate its fruitiness, woodiness, and sweetness. Very pretty.

  3. GORGEOUS. I’ve never encountered bushman’s candle before, but the internet tells me it’s a waxy/resinous bark with notes of amber, caramel and brown sugar. Like, YES PLEASE. So I would love a SN bushman’s candle, to really distill what I’m smelling here. But I get all of the above notes, heavy on the brown sugar. Plus creamy vanilla, warm honey, and I think I can pick out the labdanum a tiny bit in the background. I love it INSTANTLY and need large amounts!

  4. Rogue

This is a warm, gentle leather blend. The leather feels worn in and comfortable and it pairs nicely with the syrupy, resinous rosin (pine sap) note. I would say the rosin is actually stronger than the leather. It’s medicinal and licoricey, not really piney. Not all leather scents work for me but this one does, and it will also smell nice on my husband.

  5.  INSTANT need for a bottle. Coy Mermaid screams sultry summer evening walking among lush champaca and jasmine. Glamorous and yes, coy.  The sweet cream accents the natural sweetness found in the floral notes, and the patchouli brings a hippie earthiness in the background. I love jasmine and it’s balanced so perfectly with all the other notes here.

  6.  Really lovely strawberries and cream perfume with just a touch of bright sour cranberry. The strawberry is definitely more noticeable and the cranberry just accentuates the natural tartness of strawberry really nicely. It’s a nice foodie blend without being overly sweet. I’m not getting any soapiness or anything weird. I love fresas con crema and that is what this reminds me of.

  7. Saffron! Lots of it. It adds a bittersweet, exotic spiciness to the red musk. As abejita noticed, the red musk is understated here, not overpowering as it sometimes can be for me. I am not really picking up honey. I swear there’s a coppery blood note as well. Maybe I’m just easily suggestible what with the name and all but I see other have pointed it out as well. In summary, SWEET METAL BLOOD. 🤘

  8. Smooth polished wood and sweet incense smoke. Strong pagan-rituals-in-the-woods vibe. It feels old and mysterious.. I’m not really getting the cologne aspect that others have noticed. I’m gonna wear it to the medieval forest fair in a couple weeks

  9. This blend reminds me of the chocolate-covered coconut cream eggs they sell at Easter. The sweetened coconut and powdery cocoa are the strongest notes and they blend beautifully. The nutty warmth of hazelnut is faintly present in the background. Definitely a foodie blend. If you love a Mounds or Almond Joy, here’s a sweet treat you’ll love.

  10. The musky, spicy, sweet vanilla of Snake Oil, and then every so often a hint of buttery pastry. Really faint pastry. It’s mostly straight Snake Oil on me. Very good throw, strong scent. I’m not getting any jam or berry as some reviewers noted.

Even after several minutes it’s the same – strong, sweet Snake Oil and just a hint of buttery pastry.

  11. A lovely spiced coffee blend, reminiscent of Cafe Mille et Une Nuits.  Very heavy on the cardamom, sweetened by the vanilla, and then as for the fir needle…it's mild, I wouldn’t guess it was there if I didn’t see the notes list. But since I’m aware of it, it does pop up occasionally, adding depth. Basically this will be a perfect backup when I run out of the OLLA blend.

  12. Like lavender candy. Sweet and soothing. I immediately ordered a bottle! There’s the cool lavender, the sparkling fruitiness of the sugar plums, and the vanilla coziness of marshmallow. This will be such a happy, cheerful yet calming addition to my army of lavender sleep blends in the triumph against insomnia!

  13. Cafe de olla for me. Coffee with cinnamon and sugar. Not getting much in the way of creaminess or pumpkin. The cinnamon is just very spicy and strong. I would maybe try to layer it with Jack if I wanted more PSL vibe. Really I think I’ll swap it because my skin is just amping the cinnamon.

  14. Not what I was expecting, with my skin chemistry there’s a clean, shampoo note. I’m getting the sweet cream and honey, yeah, but it’s like combined with green and herbal notes. Gonna have to swap this one sadly.

  15. I thought I got "Vanilla Cream and Almond" by mistake when I first applied it.  It has that cherry vibe. As doomsday_disco said, even when you can recognize it as pistachio rather than almond, it’s still a pistachio that’s heavily cherry-accented! Pistachio extract rather than the experience of eating actual pistachios, you got me? The vanilla cream is heavy and super-sweet, while the macadamias’ presence is only felt in a very slight buttery richness.  Let’s call this cherry-vanilla ice cream studded with pistachios, that’s how it feels to me. Which is nice.

  16. Honey cakes with a dab of butter. Not overly buttery. And custard, sweet and rich. And the lab’s wool note is also there. It’s a good one. Real wool is itchy so I have no idea if it’s true-to-life. But it adds depth to this otherwise foodie blend. I’m not picking up fennel or smoke. But I do love a good baked goods scent. They’re comforting and cozy. I’m especially partial to ones with oats and rice, but I can dig this bread-y vibe right here!

  17. This patchouli is IN YOUR FACE as soon as I open the decant. Just the way I like it! The green unripeness of the fig is also present. If there’s butternut, it’s heavily cinnamon-and-cardamom-spiced. Not plain raw gourd, but a more “pumpkin spice squash” if you will. The cinnamon blast is really on par with the patchouli. They are fighting for dominance, man. With the “green growing thing” of the fig just shyly popping up from time to time. I wouldn’t wear something regularly with this much cinnamon so off to swaps.

  18. This is a nice floral/fruit blend. The pineapple, strawberry, and rose are the strongest notes and this trifecta is actually really complementary. The sourness of the pineapple and strawb brings out the sharper aspects of the rose, but their sweetness also enhances the rose’s sweet floral essence.  I’m not really getting carnation or peony at all.  I had no clue what this would smell like or if I’d like it, and I’m pleased that’s a successful combining of notes that I never would have thought of as going together!

  19. My favorite of the 2022 Liliths that I sampled! “Spoopy Kid” comes close because it’s also a patchouli blend and my nostalgic little hippie heart loves those. But here the combination of patchouli and strawberry is just incredible! Sticky and sweet and syrupy and so fantastic. These two notes just compliment each other so well. Are there carnations and labdanum as well? Maybe! I don’t know! I’m obsessed with PATCHOULI + STRAWBERRY 4-EVA!!
