    Sybaris

On first application, a bold, strong swath of bright purple violets-- nose-tickling and high-pitched. As the scent mellows, the sweet clove pinpricks the woody, slightly chocolate scent of tonka bean. I've been wearing this for a couple of hours now and the scent seems to get stronger and stronger, and take over the skin. This scent is like walking barefoot a very posh, richly-colored carpet of russets, amethyst, and deep blue-- and with each step, there is a strong scent of violets-- another step, the strong scent of incense and clove.

    Sloth

Redolent, heavy-lidded, and dark. It is the smell of deeply oiled wood and brown, sweet myrrh. I almost smell something spicy in here, like a dribble of cinnamon sugar, mixed with the slow trickle of molasses. Masculine, hazy-- it is the very essence of curling up on a couch on a pale grey day, being slothful.

    Envy

On first application, it is a bright sharp mint and astringent lavender, which turns slightly gritty and as the scent elapses. Upon drydown, it is the scent of a sweet mint leaf, placed on warmed earth.

    Cairo

Old Cairo is a scent truly devoted to its sacred origins as a Ra-temple night-drawing incense. Wet, it smells strongly of honey, raisins, and wine. The middle notes reveal the dry woodiness of cypress, and then the headclearing scent of bright lemongrass. Upon drydown, the sweetly resinous myrrh approaches, and it is then that the perfume becomes truly sacred, evoking visualizations of pathways though the mind.

    Wrath

Right when news of this scent came out, I was preparing an exorcism spell that was comprised of these notes exactly, which was fortuitous, because now I add this oil in with said spell (am kitchen-y witch). Hot, dirty, black-peppery, anchored by the sweet, red intensity of thick dragon's blood, the spike of clove will surprise you all day.

    Succubus

Upon first application, one is assalted with bitterest orange-- like the hard scent of a peel dotted with clove. As it softens, it becomes richly neroli, with the orange blossom sweetening it all up until it is an intoxicating blend of bergamot and flower. I highly, highly recommend this scent purely based on its seductiveness. For LUSHies, it is almost reminiscent of a very very grown up-Karma perfume.

    Help with samples needed.

Elizabeth: Would LOVE to help out from the Boston area. I'm pretty handy with the old hands and assemblage and whatnot. I blame near-obsessive knitting, and I've got free time. ((a))

    Seraphim

This is a high, windy scent-- the calla lily are papersheet white and flowery soft on the top note, but soon, the white sandalwood introduces itself by blending its smooth, arid graininess gently into the skin. There is the slight petal of rose, mixed with the resinous, church-y quality of the frankincense. Upon drydown, the scent is almost completely smooth-- feathery, flowery, lovely, and holy. Possesses the same sacred quality as Hymn, but is its floral cousin.

    Gluttony

This scent made me hilariously go out and actually BUY a pint of dark chocolate ice cream because I couldn't stand smelling like something so delicious and not having it in my mouth. So, yeah, this scent surely does induce actual, real gluttony and will be the reason I become fat. When first applied, it is the scent of deep, thick, dark chocolate, drenched in caramel. The middle notes show the slight dry nuttiness of hazelnut. Upon drydown, the scent is a softer vanilla-chocolate and decidedly toffee-nosed. Mouth-watering and distractingly delicious.

    Fire of Love

A hot, swollen, engorged scent of strong ginger. There's something else behind this, perhaps white pepper and musk, but this perfume almost heats up on your skin, it's so warming. HOT!

    March Hare

Soft, round, and fleshy apricot blended with a hidden sweet clove bud produces the effect of sticking your nose in a jar of spiced jam. On drydown, the fruit mellows, and the clove remains-- lending a sweet spiciness to the skin and the pale shadow of apricot.

    Greetings from rainy Las Vegas!

Elizabeth!! You're totally not supposed to come here and read all this stuff. Besides, I think much of what you're reading in the line of "OH NO MY STUFF HASN'T COME YET!!" is probably well-intentioned impatience. Don't THINK about this stuff until you get back, until you and Ted are all better, etc. It MAY be a good idea to close down shop for a bit when you get back so that you don't feel so completely overwhelmed, and so you can clear house. In any case, I and my buddy Bo got our packages and they're wonderful, wonderful. *kisses* and PLEASE go get lap dances until you are left limp and breathless and the stress is completely eradicated, at least for the moment. --a.

    O

LOVE this scent. When you first open the bottle and sniff, there is a languid, strong scent of sweetest clover-blossom honey. On the skin, it is light and delicate, with the vanilla and amber adding a warmth to the honey that makes it like treacle-y syrup. It is a scent that could best be appreciated wrapped around somebody in bed, yes...

    Carnal

I thought it smelled like dark red rose and deep purple juicy concord grape when I put it on, but reading the notes later, it is mandarin and fig. The fig possesses a raisin-y plump juiciness to it, and when combined with the mandarin, Carnal is really quite mouth-watering.
