  1. Eat Me: In the bottle - yup, definitely cake-like. Not as sweet as MB:Closet though, more like cake without the frosting. Once on I smell berries and I admit that I really don't know what currants smell like but the scent of this reminds me of blueberries. There's a brief hint of butteriness wafting through but never quite coming to the surface. Overall I really like this. It's much lighter than MB:Closet, Underbed, Underpants, Beaver Moon, et al. Good for those days when you want to smell like cake but don't want a strong scent.

  2. Ahathoor - in the imp a bit woody. Once on I can smell something similar to amber and maybe a touch of sandalwood? Clove-like spices add a bit of sweetness. I really like this! It's warm and woodsy - very comforting. Definitely need a big bottle :P

  3. Hymn to Proserpine: In the bottle is amber and something else though that something else isn't fruity. Can't quite put my finger on it. Once on - wow this is strong! Lots of amber and another element giving it a perfumey quality. There's a little bit of spiciness but the overall impression is amber perfume. I wish was able to smell the fruit but this is still nice. It seems like a dressy, sophisitcated amber rather than an earthy, sexy amber.

  4. An utterly feral, thoroughly rousing perfume. Red patchouli sweetened by orange blossom.

Ravenous - in the bottle: spicy oranges. Once on I can smell a Snake Oil quality and oranges but oranges that aren't citrusyl. Citrus is usually a bad thing for me but in this blend the orangeiness works. It reminds me a little of the orange blossom perfume that my grandmother bought for me when I was little. My mom hated the smell of that stuff but I loved it because perfume was such a grown up kind of thing to my six year old mind and if my older sister had it then I wanted it too. Anyway the patchouli is strong and in this blend that's a good thing because it keeps the oil from being too cloying. The scent stays strong and lasts for hours.

Side note: I spilled an imp of this in my car and it makes a great air freshener!

  5. In the bottle all I can really smell is the lotus. It's light, more like a faded version than the robust note in Blood Lotus. Transparent is the word that comes to mind. Once on it stays the same, airy, paper-thin lotus. A slight touch of rose comes out a bit later but by then Lotus Moon has all but disappeared. No amber or pine or spices for me, sadly.

  6. Litha - in the bottle it's kind of nondescript. Something florally and light. Once on it blossoms into a bright golden yellow scent. I can really smell the honey and it reminds me of Jezebel quite a bit. The florals fade to the back and mostly what stays strong is the honey. I can see wearing this in early September when the days are still warm and the nights start to cool.

  7. In the bottle this has an essence much like the other Ars Draconis blends. Once on a sweet woodiness comes out. I get the same warm and dry impression and for some reason this blend really makes me think of fall when it's still warm during the day but the leaves have just started to turn. On me this is quiet and reserved but with an earthy, sexy edge just beneath the surface. Dragon's Claw will definitely be in rotation during the autumn months.

  8. Rakshasa

This haunting, exotic scent is named in honor of the shapeshifting demons from Hindu mythology. Sandalwood with rose and patchouli.

This scent is so subtle to my nose. The only thing I think of when I sniff this is stone roses. Not the band but freshly cut roses scattered on damp stone. No sandalwood (sadly) or citrus and I really don't smell any patchouli in the usual sense but I think that's what is giving it that rocky earthiness. It fades even more after a few hours but I still get whiffs of it now and then. This is very quiet and comtemplative.

  9. Monster Bait: Underbed

This scent is driving me nuts because it reminds me of something so familiar yet I can't put my finger on it. Wax tart? Candle? Suntan oil? I can't remember. Mostly what I smell is vanilla with a hint of lemon. Not harsh like Lemon Pledge but soft and just enough that the cakelike scent isn't too foody. I'm amazed at how much this calms down out of the bottle because it seemed quite strong at first. After a bit I can smell the coconut and I think that's what seems familiar - very reminiscent of suntan oil. Like angel food cake and Hawaiian Tropic mixed together :D It works really well though :P

  10. Monster Bait: Closet

Where's the drooly icon when you need it because MB:Closet is definitely droolwrothy. As shelldoo mentioned this is similar to Beaver Moon but with a boozy note instead of the vinegar tang. I can almost taste the red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting :P I don't get much in the way of fruitiness but there is the slightest hint of blackberry that keeps this from being too sugary sweet. This a playful, sexy, girly scent. I don't think any of the monsters in my closet ever smelled this good!

  11. Love, love, love Lump of Coal! In the bottle it smells exactly like those molton lava cakes where the middle is all rich, hot, gooey, chocolate. Once on it doesn't really change though after a few hours though it does mellow a bit so that every now and then I get wafts of brownies.

There's the barest hint of something perfumey that keeps this from being a total foodie blend. :P

    Being Naughty smells damn good!

  12. Blood Moon is spicy and sweet as others have mentioned. For some reason I do not get the lunar oil undertone that I get from most lunar blends which I find interesting. This actually reminds me of Chimera but with a redness and an exotic and mysterious depth - perhaps the red sandalwood?. I think this is one of my favorite lunar oils so far and the lable is fantastic.

  13. Sandalwood + Orris + Pumpkin = pumpkin incense! :P Exotic and comforting, this is pure deliciousness in a bottle. At times it seems at though all I can detect is sandalwood but if I sniff again I can smell the sweetness of the pumpkin shifting underneath which grounds the scent and gives it depth. I imagine a pile of pumpkins with sweetend smoke drifitng lazily in the air. This is a fantastic oil!

  14. Pumpkin and pomegranate is the least pumpkiny of the PP that I've tried so far. The pomegranate is very prominent with the rich juicy frutiness coming to the front with the pumpkin taking the back seat. As with the others this oil is nicely blended so that the pomegranate doesn't quite overpower the pumpkin but there's not quite enough of the buttery warmth for my taste. Still this is a lovely autumn scent that I'll enjoy wearing on cool days.

  15. Pumpkin with apple cider and mulling spice.

Pumpkin with apples and spice makes for the most wonderful fall perfume. All of the best food scents of autumn are in this oil. I never realized quite how much I would enjoy Beth's pumpkin blends but this is my second PP scent that I've tried and loved. Sweet pumpkin mixed with tangy apples that give it a crisp edge and spices to give it warthm and depth - simply divine :P

  16. Trick or Treat reminds me faintly of candy corn but not the Brach's variety I usually buy. ToT is much sweeter with something mapley in the mix. Once on it doesn't change much and is actually quite similar to Sugar Skull on my skin without the slight burnt/fruity notes. I like this blend as a novelty and of course for the pretty picture on the bottle but it's too sweet for everyday wear for me. I might use it in a burner instead.

  17. Pumpkin with cocoa, hazelnut and walnut.

Pumpkin with cocoa is such a delicious combination! The cocoa in this blend is not milky sweet like Bliss or Velvet but rather more subdued like fine baking chocolate. A good thing as the pumpkin is sweet enough in my opinion. I can't really smell the hazelnut or walnut outright but they add a bit of something underneath that make this a well rounded oil. This also strikes me as a gourmand scent as opposed to something foody. The combination enhances the notes but is well balanced so it's not cloying in the least. Simply wonderful!

  18. Some non-floral (imo) recs:

Spellbound - yes it has roses but it also has amber and musk which combines to make a wonderful incensey boquet.

Cathedral - all resins, simply wonderful

Both of those can be heavy side so I also would suggest:

    Velvet - sandalwod, cocoa, vanilla

Sudha Segara - milky ginger, this is a soft warm scent

Scarecrow - warm hay - much more accessible than you might think

Blood Kiss - vanilla, honey, clove, myrrh

White Rabbit - black tea and milk with white pepper, ginger, honey and vanilla. This is soft like Sudha Segara

Also, the Norns - Skuld, Urd, and Verdandi.
