In Vial: Smells like a citrus cologne Wet: Definately aquatic notes. Has a light lemon smell and something else that is slightly masculine. Drydown: This is not as masculine now but is quite perfumey. I don't really smell the citrus. I just barely smell the salty aquatic. Something that smells like perfume has come to the surface and that is what I mostly smell. This is a light scent and I would say could be worn by both male and female.

    Herr Drosselmeyer

In Vial: spicy sweet, smell the cherry tobacco On Skin: Smells alot like marachino cherries. I also detect a tiny bit of cinnamon and the tobacco. The tobacco note is getting stronger as it dries. Later: This has a sickly sweet sort of smell. I for sure smell honey even though it is not listed. After it has dried I am now beginning to smell the leather and linen notes. Because it is so sweet, honey sweet, I would not say this is overly masculine even though it does lend itself more that direction. Like others have said, even though I would not wear this, there is something about it that causes me to want to smell it around me, so I will for sure keep the imp!

In Vial: Very Lovely I smell a hint of lemon, mint and light perfume Wet: Quite citrus-y. I smell the green tea in the background. This is very nice. The green tea note is getting stronger and is almost overtaking the other notes. Drydown: This is not super sweet and is herbal. It is a really great blend. I don't know that I am getting any of the lime, if so it is barely there. It does smell fresh, clean. I do smell the seaspray but does not make this scent smell 'aquatic', just fresh with a light green, marine life sort of feel.

    Peitho

In Vial: strongly myrtle flower On Skin: Myrtle with Jasmine Later: This is mostly myrtle flower on me and not much else. The smell is kind of soft and powdery but a scent you would need to know you really liked before buying a bottle.

In Vial: Sweet, smells like a blend of citrus and flowers On Skin: Pretty. Smells very floral. A bit perfumey. Smells a lot like hairspray. Later: A strong floral, still with a bit of the hairspray smell. This smells just like my Beautiful perfume that I have had for so long that it changed color. This is not bad but still I'm unsure about this one.

    Eris

In Vial: Fruit with something that stinks On Skin: Ok this is a little better. I smell more of the wet fruits. I think it is the mimosa that I find unpleasant. Later: Smells like a strawberry scented candle. Smells waxy.

    Cheshire Cat

In Vial: Citrus grapefruit with spicey red currant On Skin: Mostly grapefruit. Now the currant and lavender are coming into play. It smells a bit like a fruit tea. Probably the fruit blended with chamomile and lavender. Later: I like this it smells just like grapefruit tea. After it dries the grapefruit calms down and the other notes are more apparent. This becomes more and more herbal. The herbs really tone down the pungent citrus of the grapefruit. I love grapefruit scents and this is a new twist on the note and I really like it. If you like grapefruit or tea scents, try this one.

    Maenad

In Vial: smells like something sweet mixed with some kind of pepper On Skin: Now I smell the strawberries. The blend of this smells like bubblegum. I smell something a bit darker kind of herbal and astringent. The gum scent morphed out really fast. Later: Smells like strawberry soap. It very much has a fake strawberry scent. Reminds me of something a little girl would wear.

    Bewitched

In Vial: herbs and flowers with a hint of berry On Skin: very lovely, less herbal, more floral, still smell the berries. Dry: This gets even better. It drys to a very light scent. I smell the berries still and the musk mostly, I don't really smell the other notes. This is a nice feminine scent.

    Black Pearl

IN Vial: creamy goodness On Skin: Still creamy, lightly sweet, right up to the line of being foody but without being. I smell the hazelnut but the other notes are well blended and I cannot distinguish them. Later: The cocnut is coming out more but it is light and not very sweet, more like fresh coconut than sweet coconut flavored something. The hazelnut is carrying on still and has remained the note I detect the strongest. This has an overall butterscotch scent to it.

    Imp

In Vial:dark peach perfume On Skin: I Smell the musk and amber, the peach is only a hint. This is not the light peach scent I was expecting. The oil is very dark, that was my first clue. Later: This is getting sweeter as it drys. This is the scent more of cooked peaches than fresh ones. The scent has not changed much since applying only that it got sweeter. The peach is still not very strong but a nice dark blend overall.

    Juke Joint

In Vial: Whoo! Smells like alcohol and wood On Skin: Smells like men's cologne Later: This reminds me of a cologne that my Grandfather might have worn. Has an 'aged' feel to it. I never smelled the mint. This is sweet, like the sweetness something gets from sitting too long, not white sugary, but brown, dirty sugary.

    Envy

In Vial: Smell mostly lavender On Skin: Smells sour. I know its the lavender. It is slowly getting greener, sweeter. The lime and mint are stronger now but mostly in the background. Here we go, the lime is coming out. This is becoming much nicer. Later: This smells like an herb garden. Ultimately the lavender sweetens, the lime is just a hint and the mint is gone. This is a mild lightly sweet scent. It is very 'natural' smelling.

    Szepasszony

In Vial: Sweet floral water On Skin: Soft flowers. I smell something that is sweet and lemony. The aquatic note is in the background. This blend is very nice so far. Later: This scent starts out soft and fades from there so it is not very strong. It dries to a floral note that is very soft and unassuming. In the beginning I could detect the 'airy notes' and 'slashing rain' but not so much now.

    Frost Moon

In Bottle: Eucalyptus and mint, smells medicinal On skin: Minty but not sweet. The eucalyptus is stronger. Has a 'green mint' feel. As it dries it begins to sweeten gradually but not in a sugary way. This does not smell like candy, but does sort of smell like gum without the sugar. Later: Mostly the smell of a soft, light floral, I'm thinking it's the lotus, with just a hint of mint. When I sniff my wrist the mint gives the feeling of a cold winter wind rushing your face. This is a light fragrance, but does not fade quickly. Very Nice.

    Priala, the Human Phoenix (2006)

In Vial: Dark, smoky, with a hint of sweetness On skin: So this is what myrrh smells like. Deep and rich. There is also the hint of smokiness. This one definately conveys an atmosphere. I do smell a hint of cinnamon but not the dark bitterness that the bark usually yields. Later: Now I am getting a tiny bit of bitterness from the cinnamon bark, but it only serves to add depth to this scent. This blend is very incensy. The myrrh is the strongest. After drying the other notes are fading and I am left with only myrrh.

    Twilight

In Vial: Smell the lavender and jasmine On skin: Strongly floral. Smell mostly lavender and not much else. Later:The only note I smell is jasmine, and very strong.

    Belladonna

In Vial: Strongly astringent! I'm almost afraid to put it on. On skin: Feels warm when applied and then cooling. Smells very medicinal! I think I am smelling eucalyptus giving the vicks vapor rub scent. In the background there is a slight sweetness of flowers. There is also the hint of something dark that serves to ground the scent. Later: Still strongly medicinal. Makes the inside of my nose tingle when I sniff my wrists.
  19. Archangel Winter was a milder version of Sea of Glass to me. Other than not being as strong, I find them identical.

    The Snow Storm

In Vial: Refreshing. Can smell the fir, the hint of mint and a hint of sweetness from the aconite. Cannot wait to put it on! On Skin: Very fresh! Smell a hint of green melon, I think it is probably a mix of the notes. The fir and cedar notes give your nasal passage a wake-up call, likening to eucalyptus. Drydown: The pungency of the tree notes disappear and all that is left is the fragrance of the aconite which has a very clean, soapy smell. I am not sure I would wear this as a perfume, but I can see using it as a linen spray or maybe an after bath spray.

    Archangel Winter

In Vial: Soft Floral with the clean-ness of ozone. Wet: Beautiful. Not overly sweet florals balanced by the clean crispness of ozone. Drydown: Very Nice light fragrance. This blend is very similar to Sea of Glass. It seems like the difference is that this one has ozone and SoG has quatic notes. So this is not salty. This has an airy-ness to it that seems to go on forever. The stronger ozone in the wet stage did add a bit of darkness but now I cannot smell it specifically and it is a nice white scent with no darkness. Just lovely! I forgot to add that while I loved Sea of Glass, I could not wear it because it was so strong and sweet that it gave me a headache. I love Archangel because it has the same scent but is lighter, less sweet and more airy.

    The Lady of Shalott

In Vial: strong florals with tangyness Wet: Fruity, like pear, mixed with floral Drydown: Very strong, high pitched floral. The fruit is long gone. This is sort of an in-your-face floral, if there is such a thing.

    Xanthe, The Weeping Clown

In Vial: fruity bubblegum Wet: Stronger bubblegum with an equal amount of sweet, tart, fruityness. Drydown: Nice and fruity. Very sweet, but not so much it causes a headache. I don't smell the orange distinctly but I do smell the other notes and something faintly of honey. That may be the spun sugar? The pepper gives the tiniest punch and keeps it interesting. BTW it no longer smells of bubblegum for those who were worried

    Czernobog

In Vial:thick dark oil, strong, masculine Wet: mmm, very sexy I think its the musks. The vetiver is just a hint in the background to give it a subtle darkness, but nothing overpowering. Very nice, not as masculine as first sniff. Drydown: Ok so it's more masculine again. Smells woodsy, Autumn woodsy with a bit of deepened sweetness.

    Yew-Trees

In Vial: sweet, green like the smell of pine trees Wet: I think I smell eucalyptus or maybe it is pine and something a little vanilla-y that reminds me of tree sap. I smell something that reminds me of the base smell of chapstick, maybe that is the 'sacred wood', it's not bad. This is the smell of trees that are very much green and alive. Drydown: This has turned into a mild green scent. It is cool because of the eucalyptus and pine too, but the vanilla note warms it. It reminds me of pine trees in the winter time. This is a nice winter scent. It has a hint of sweetness also that balances the rest of the notes. Nice.
