  1. Very bright floral on me. Something reminds me of Pele...I cant pinpoint what it could be. Although very beautiful this one is too girly for me. I like them earthier. I am so glad to have tried it though as with all of Beth's scents.

  2. Wow...lemony. Then right behind comes the patchouli. When I take long whiffs you can smell the sandalwood. I dont detect rose...yet. I do think the jasmine is making the lemongrass more prominent. I havent decided if I like this one enough to buy a big bottle of it. I cant risk the rose. Rose is not my friend.

  3. This is fucking gorgeous. Sorry...I had to say it that way. This one is moving up into my top three. I love it. I need more of it.

At first I got that maple syrup smell everyone is mentioning, which is why I backed away from ordering it...but I got my hands on some and I should have went with my gut and ordered it. Oh well nothing I can do about it now. That syrup smell goes away but leaves behind this sweet smokiness that is purely sensual. I cant wait for hubby to smell it. with my luck he will sneeze...LOL. Hopefully he finds it as sexy as I do. I get whiffs of it being a little masculine but then it is sweet and sexy. So I dont care....I wanna slather in it. I cant though.

  4. I fell in love with Urd so I thought I would give its cousin a try.

Wet it smelled of honey with a twist. I am not sure what ylang ylang smells like, so I cant pick it out. I know it is in many scents but I need to get a sample just to be sure.

Dry...smells like grapes. Spefically like a very dry wine.

Verdict...not diggin this one at all. Off to the swap pile.

  5. This one is very dainty and feminine. Beautiful floral with an underlying sweetness to it. This is so well blended. I wish I had the single notes of Ylang Ylang and lilly of the valley so I could compare. Although this is gorgeous it is not me. I try to be girly but I really love my patchouli scents.

  6. I am amazed how this was created. Smells like a tropical island dirt after 15 minutes of downpour rain.

You would think the oil would be black in color but it is clear as day.

I really like this. Dont know if I will wear it, but I am keeping my imp.

I work with some women that eat dirt and/or clay when they are anemic, a condition called Pica. If I could only give them some of this oil to sniff when they get the cravings.

  7. I am so glad I got a chance to smell fig. It is red and juicy to me. Almost like candy. It really helps pick out fig in Beth's other blends. I wont wear but I am glad I got a chance to smell it. I will definitely look forward to buying more fig blends.

  8. At first sniff I can smell the sandalwood and patchouli and a few seconds later I smell the rose. On my skin all I smell is the rose which saddens me since I wanted more patchouli. Why does rose turn to nail polish remover on my skin. Now I know for certain, I can really do rose in large amounts.

  9. Wow...why did I wait so long to try this blend. I am in love. A fruity blend that works for me. I am still not thru drydown yet, but I think it will be great. The musks and tea really balance this and make it not too fruity. Genious I tell you. Only thing that it is rather light. Reminds me of Pele in that aspect. I cannot pick out any single fruit but this is so well blended it just sings Tropical. I love it. Can't wait to slather this one on tomorrow.

  10. I just tried this one and this stuff is strong. I smelled it in the mail box. I smelled it in the room and I didnt even open it yet.

Sad to say that this smelled too much of cinnamon and spices rather than a traditional sugar cookie. So much so that I had to wash it off. I was hoping for the more buttery aspect of this. It really reminded me of Shub-Niggurath, same baked ginger and spices quality.

  11. I am on the fence with this scent. At moments I think it is too masculine and then the scent really intrigues me. I try to imagine myself wearing this and it is hard although I really love the smokiness and sensuality of it. I was hoping this smelled more of incense but it doesnt to me. I have smelled this before but I cant quite place it. Hopefully it comes to me. I cant really detect the different notes but it is a nice scent but not for moi.

  12. This is a very delicate floral on me. Kind of sweet or fruity in a bright citrusy way. While wet I wasnt sure if I was going to like it but the dry down is very nice. Very mellow as if I was staring at a field of wildflowers. I will enjoy my imp.

  13. This smelled gorgeous in the vial. I could actually see myself walking thru a botanical garden. The scent stayed true during the wet stage but as soon as drydown hit, the scent reminded me of scented feminine products. I dont particularly like the smell of those. I always reach for the unscented ones. Off to swap.

  14. I love peach so I was looking forward to trying this blend.

I loved how it smelled in the vial. Light and airy. Once on my skin it smelled the same but on drydown this changed. I dont know what note did it but the peach smelled like a rotten peach that was left in a car during the middle of the summer with the windows close. Almost suffocating me. Off to the swap pile.

  15. I love coconut as I discovered with Black Pearl, so I was really excited to see this blend.

In the bottle all I smell is coconut. It smells exactly like Black Pearl.

Wet on the skin the coconut jumps out, just like I hoped. I love this already. It is very strong, next time I will have to put less on, thats how much throw this has.

Dry down...this gets lovlier and sexier. The orris and musk comes out but it mixes very nicely with the coconut.

Glad I bought a 5ml of this blind.

  16. I love Beth's patchouli and fruit blends, so I had I high hopes for this one. I think orange blossom is not my friend. It was too sweet on me. Almost gave me a toothache. On drydown, I waited to smell my beloved patchouli but it never appeared. :P

  17. This one smells really nice. I thought I would had the vetiver, but to my surprise it didnt overwhelm this. This one is blended superbly. I envision myself wearing a power suit and being the CEO of my mass enterprise. I can hear the clacking of my 3 inch heels as I strut down the marble floor. This scent emits power and I am rather shy.

Although I like it, not enough to buy a bigger bottle.

  18. When I read the description of this I expected this to smell like real ginger. Fresh ginger. The kind I would finely chop to put in asian food.

I was definitely wrong. This smelled of ginger snaps. The kind of ginger you bake with. And on my skin it didnt change. I had to wash it off. This is what I expect Gingerbread Poppet to smell like (not that I have tried it, but taking a guess). :P

  19. Very strong violet in the bottle. After application, I still get the strong violet but something lingering behind it. The clove maybe. I really dont like clove much, but I wanted to try this and get out of my element for a second. Again...I think because the clove knows I dont like it, it jumps out and slaps me. Hopefully someone else will like this.

  20. Wow...this one packs a punch. Instantly I smell pine. My first pine scent. I rather like that. But as I take a deeper whiff I smell something that is harsh to my nose. I think it is the black musk and juniper. I must stay away from these two. They scare me like civet.

    ADDED June 7:

I was very curious about this scent since I love woody notes. The pine immediately hit me when I opened this. Way too strong. Almost with a medicinal quality. Then scent never really changed once I put it on my skin. Off to the swap pile.

  21. So tonight I wanted to try something new. I reached into my imp box and pulled this out.

In the vial...a floral. Then I read the description. I havent been lucky with roses but I wanted to try it because its smells so beautiful in the vial. Also scared of lotus because I hate bubble gum.

Wet....so yummy. There is a beautiful girlfight going on. Rose sometimes on top and then the lotus. This is going back and forth. But in the air, I smell roses. This definitely has alot of throw.

Dry...I am starting to smell the thing about roses that puts me off. The smell of nail polish remover. This one hasnt gotten to the point where I have to wash it off. But I kind of smell in the background somewhere. I still like it though. We will see after a couple of hours.

I think my best friend will love this as it reminds me of her...I will share this imp with her and perhaps get her a bottle for her birthday.

Hubby's review...reminds him of Mississippi. Specifically the smell of 100 different women's perfume at church on a sunday morning.

  22. At first I was overwhelmed by this. I smelled the patchouli...but there is something else and I cant quite pick it out. There is something medicinal in there because when I take a deep whiff, I feel my nose clear up for a second.

At first I said yuck and I am a lover of patchouli...but as it morphs on my skin...I am liking it more and more. This would make a great room scent. Maybe I will try it during yoga (when I learn).

  23. Wow....this was an extra and I didnt read the description. Woah. First impression was this smells like lysol. Followed by mint. All of the sudden I feel light headed. Not a good thing for me.
