Baked Goods? Yea Nay? Yes please!

If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? I really prefer my recipes online (allrecipes.com is my favorite) so I can change quantities, print them out, get them dirty, etc. Or view them on my ipad while I'm cooking! I'd love Meilin's e-books for crockpot recipes and garlic and other things!

Here's a question If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW (Not that any of you will make any bpal orders until SW is over, because you do NOT want to mess up any plans your witch might have!) What would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) I would probably order Lemon Scented Sticky Bat or some of the BPTP Courtesans. And Spanked. And anything that I haven't ordered yet, like the new LE bath oils and room spray.

Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounces sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? I'm pretty set on seasonings right now but maybe some really interesting ones would be fun? I always see all of the different colored/variety salts and speciality things but don't purchase them.

Do you like any particular kinds of green or back teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I usually prefer black tea. My favorite right now is an anise black tea that my friend sent me from Germany!! I'm sure it could be purchased in a larger size (mine is 2oz?) but I'm not sure where from. I usually buy my teas in smallish quantities from the yummy local tea stores.

Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Lately my fav snack foods are the fruit/nut mix from Costco. Except I pick out the walnuts because I really don't like them! But the dogs do. I also do a lot of cheese (cotswald, sage darby, or something else tasty in the snobby cheese section), crostini, and sliced sausagey things. Or chips and mango peach salsa. Or ... another thing the BF brought home -- Cadbury's Mini Eggs!! OM NOM NOM. And beef jerky. And the crunchy green beans from Trader Joes.

What level of nudity are you fine with on items? It depends on the item I guess! I have no room for artwork yet, but when I do I will probably be getting BDSM themed artwork for the bedroom. In which case nudity is perfect.

I know the ?aire asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? I fine with gently used items of almost everything. Underwear or socks? No thanks!

Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Everything. The more you have on your list, the more likely it is that I will have it!

Tim Tams? Yum! The black forest ones were spectacular and so were the toffee ones. The chocolate creme ones I'm iffy about. Caramel is good.

If someone were attending Disney on Ice (Toy Story 3) with a bunch of Girl Scouts, would you want a patch/souvenir? No thank you.

    E-goodies? Er?

Mix cd's? I still have about 6 mix cd's that I haven't listened to yet from other sources. I'm really picky about my music I guess.

Is there any "classic" literature (Hemingway, Dickens, Elliot, Bronte, Hugo, Wilde, etc.) that you would like to add to your collection? I downloaded about 500 onto my kindle application on my iphone/ipad. All freeeeeeeeeeee!

So how does everyone feel about receiving ebooks? I *would* actually like the Song of Ice and Fire and the Wheel of Time books. Because I read those over and over and over and over and my first edition copies are going to be destroyed.

candles and/or aroma melts: I don't actually use melts that much (I would like a melt warmer that you PLUG IN, rather than one that you put a tea light in) but I would never say no to more candles and melts.

Get your music player, what are the first 13 songs on Random?
(This is my LastFM channel since my ipod is at home.)
    Covenant - We want Revolution
    VNV Nation - Illusion
Dead Can Dance - The way an Eel Feel Eels
Dave Gahan - Kingdom (Digitalism remix)
Martin Gore - Never turn your back on Mother Earth
    XTC - Mayor of Simpleton
    Thomas Dolby - Radio Silence
The Cure - Close to Me
Apoptygma Berzerk - Love to Blame
    Depeche Mode - Strangelove
    Minerve - Clear
    Bruderschaft - Forever
    Anything Box - Carmen

Do you need another bpal box? If so what would your fantasy one look like? Sadly I could use a couple more. I have a couple nine drawer Ikea Fira and four tea boxes but I'm spilling out everywhere. My fantasy one is on my etsy wishlist! http://www.etsy.com/listing/46068735/mamas-little-secret
Would love another nine drawer Ikea fira but the last time I saw them on ebay they went for $60+ plus like $25 S&H. Ikea has discontinuned them for some odd reason.

Do you have any blogs you regularly read?
Anything that shows up on my google reader...

the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? probably sleep. I never seem to get enough sleep. oh wait, no budget? like I am rich? I would probably shop online at yarn stores, bpal, villainess, etc. and then go to europe. or do the shopping on the plane to europe.

Astrological charts and interpretation/ reports? would be cool except I don't know what time I was born.

Do you enjoy gardening? If so, what kind of stuff do you grow? Vegetables, flowers? Lavender, sage, rosemary, thyme (no, not the song!), mint, etc. Many varieties of all. Love edibles. Used to have about 75 different types of roses but had to move and leave them all behind. Where I'm living now doesn't have enough sunlight or soil that is well drained enough for herbs or roses. *sniffle* I love anything that is highly scented. Dianthus, chocolate cosmos... I love bonsai (I had a 30 year old bonsai wisteria but when it turned into a stick in the window - I kept it outside of course - my "then new puppy" Jake chewed it off. Would love to grow veggies, but again - water table is WAY too high and not enough sunlight.

Booze? Yay or Nay? what kinds? I prefer tawny port, ice wine, and sweet mead. vanilla rum or vodka. starbucks cream liquor. butterscotch schnapps. baileys. girly drinks.

Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? yes, but prefer silver/pewter over bronze/copper/gold. have a lot of steampunk inspired patterns to knit. have many steampunk items on my etsy wishlist. need goggles.

Favorite Artists - Jasmine Becket-Griffith's Notre Dame fairy/gargoyles. Omar Rayyan's "The Favorite", "Croquet", "Fluffy", and "The Faerie Child". (all on my etsy favorites!) I have some artwork (originals) from my friends, some prints from Van Gogh, Patrick Nagel, Gorey, and varied artists. I don't usually like EVERYTHING by one artist, it's more like one or a few piece wills speak to me and I'll want just those. Love artwork with ravens, bats, friesians, pit bulls, gargoyles, hippocampi, dark and gothy, celtic, etc. Would love some really nice BDSM pony artwork or large framed photo prints.

Do you like those little crocheted dolls? You know the ones! They have a Japanese name! GAH! If so, who needs to be emulated as one? Yes, I like Amigurumi. A Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) Amigurumi would be cute! I have the most darling pit bull one from dixiehellcat!! I have a ton of patterns for various amigurumi on my ravelry and Loopy Ewe wish lists.

Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? I love pirates the most. They should smell the best too, like the sea and sky, wood, leather... (I expect my pirates to bathe regularly and not drink too much rum.)

Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I have mostly shaved hair but I do wear a plastic toothy headband to keep my bangs out of my eyes at work and I have some barettes/clips on my etsy favs. I would love to have more dreadfalls -- need a big wide cloth headband and some goggles to go with them. I have some black and white yarn dreadfalls but they are really heavy and don't stay on well. colors? black, purple...

Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? I had five holes in my ears (two in the lobes on each side and one up at the top) but I took them all out except one in each lobe. They're probably healed by now - I might need to get them repierced. I'd kind of like to get my nipples done (again) but then I think about how they never would heal. Oh! And my tongue is pierced. I keep forgetting about it since I don't really notice it. I have all sorts of body piercing jewelry on my amazon wishlist. Otherwise I don't really like dangly earrings, I only wear studs and the types of things on my wishlist.

Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) I am really bored with plain chocolate. I like interesting flavors in mine. I LOVE the Vosges Naga bar and the Dolfin Hot Masala -- CURRY! Love the Dolfin green tea jasmine. Don't really enjoy chili in my chocolate so much. I do like fruit and nut bars, caramel, lavender, rose, etc. Would love to try the Vosges italian truffles with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil, etc. I'm pretty snobby about my chocolate except for the Cadbury's Mini Eggs for easter. OM NOM NOM.

For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I don't really wear a lot of tint or gloss, mostly just lip balm. Shimmer is ok! It's all about consistency for me... I don't like a balm to be sticky (gloss) or too slick. I do like the Lip Venom even though it's on the sticky glossy side. One of my favorite balms lately is Bunny Butt Apothocary (I get mine through the Soap Box Company.) I have been lusting over getting more from Better Botanicals for a while; they used to carry them at our local co-op but I can't find them anywhere (except online) now.

What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? I don't have just one! Ravens, bats, Friesians, pit bull type dogs, ferrets...

DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? Eventually I'll upgrade to Blu-Ray so I've started collecting them already.

    Copied CD's or DVD's? Arrrrrr!!

I'm going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, is there anything I can get you? *drools and makes grabby hands at NMBC items!! (Nightmare before Christmas!)*

Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) yes! no footies, plz. I would kind of like some sock garters for thigh highs since my bpal socks tend to slip down. Y'know, the kind that go around at the top of the sock, not a garter belt. I like stripey socks but I like my socks to be a little on the thick side since I wear a lot of converse, docs, and unisex fluevogs. I don't wear very many girly shoes so thin socks tend to get holes immediately. I also prefer natural fibers to acrylics (I don't mind having a little nylon for stretch, but I prefer socks to be 70-80% natural fiber.)

Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? I prefer quality over quantity (especially for things like candles, chocolates, yarn, etc.) but I believe you can find a lot of small reasonably priced things that are high quality. So I'll leave it up to my Witch! I'm hoping to do a lot of smaller yet high quality things for my Witchee because I think it's fun to get lots of little packages. But you know, it's also (for me at least) about the contact and knowing someone is getting to know you and paying attention to you. What? Attention hoar?? Sometimes I don't feel chatty back but I like being poked, even if it's just saying hi. Postcards and e-mail don't cost that much!

Do you like pirate-related things? But of course! I love going to Archie McPhee and getting a ton of pirate-y things. I have the lunch box, apron, bath curtain, bath mat, garbage can, pirate devil duckies, mints, air fresheners, etc.

Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! Also, any other companies people like or love? Villainess, maybe? Or Lush? What flavors??? I will admit that I would like to try the Snake Oil soap, as well as the one I can't pronounce.. Otherwise my soap coffers, as it were, are overflowing with bar soap. I make bar soap myself so I usually have a good supply on hand. (HA HA) I'm even totally good on shower gel. I would, however, love to have more scrubs, both oily sugar/salt and cleansing ones, like smacks. I love the Arcana scrubs, Villainess scrubs and smacks, Paintbox Soapworks Sorbettos (I have quite a few on my etsy list!), etc.

What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? I was always the science geek, not the art geek. So sorry, I am not into periods and don't have any interest in knowing art by period or genre or whatever. I know what I like when I see it and I like a LARGE variety of things. But I'm pretty consistent with my likes and I think I've already stated them enough times and given examples of some pieces I like, pointed people to my etsy favs, etc. I tend to like things with hues of silver, grey, black, blue, purple, dark green, dark red/wine/burgundy, bluish pinks, etc. I am not a fan of *anything* that is mostly copper/bronze/gold/yellow/orange/brown or pastels. This goes for jewelry, clothes, yarn, art, cars, mugs, boxes, tapestries, etc. -- really it's pretty universal.

Would you like caffeinated lollipops? No thanks! I actually mostly stopped drinking coffee and only do a couple of mugs of tea a day. I don't really want to jack up my caffiene levels.

Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? No idea what those are. But if you think I'll like them, sure.

Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? I use a lot of "lap pillows" to rest my ipad/books/laptop/whatever on, and I usually have a pillow between my knees when I'm curled up on the couch. Plus the dogs and boyfriend are always stealing my pillows. So... large to cover the lap and firm to hold up things. Black, purple, silver are the ones that interest me most. It might be easier to look at what kind of pillows are available at places like Michaels or Joanns and then send a pillow case to fit such a beast, though. I don't think the pillows themselves are usually very expensive. I have pillows with Ravens and such on my etsy wish list.

purses? bags? What style/colors? I really like Namaste knitting bags in Eggplant or Black. But they're pretty spendy.

Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? No thanks, I'm a knitter, my friends are knitters, my family has knitters. Some have looms and do woven scarves. So I get a LOT of hand knit and hand woven scarves as gifts and I have a TON. Plus I'm more into shawlettes (smaller shawlettes worn as scarves) right now and I'm super picky about my yarn (yes, I am a yarn snob.) I guess this is a push button topic for me because people just don't get it and I keep getting store bought mass produced scarves (not hand made) as gifts. While I appreciate that someone thought of me and wanted to get me a gift, this is not it. Please! (The only exception would be really nice silk scarves that someone hand dyed for me or the HUGE scarves/stoles that are mostly black with purple, blue, or red celtic knot motifs that people sell at Renn faires or farmer's markets.) Of course if you really wanted to send me a hand knitted or hand woven scarf, those I would gladly accept. But I could probably use hand knitted socks or wrist warmers more. Anything hand made or dyed is accepted with glee.

Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? If you love them and you think I would love them, I am open to trying whatever! With the exception of natural deoderant, that stuff never works for me.

Do you like poetry? I'm picky.

What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? The boyflame hates foody scents and cinnamon type scents (I weep!) but plain vanilla seems to be ok. Even though I have a ton of the BPTP room sprays I don't use them a lot except on pillows and clothes; I don't want my dogs to have to smell them all the time and hurt their noses.

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I'd love the Sandman collections in hardback... but those are way over the price range. And probably don't count as comics at that point. See below. Delerium is one of my favorite characters.

Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these?

What kind of geeky things do I do? I play computer games... I've been playing Ultima Online for 11 years+ now? I love old dos computer games (infocoms, sierra, the ultima series, etc.) I downloaded monkey island 1&2 on my ipad and finished the first one while my boyfriend was away for the weekend. I knit! That seems less geeky and more mainstream these days though. I still call BBSes (well, now we telnet to them!) I haven't scripted for a while but I *can*. I would like to get more into camera geekery (my dad is the hugest camera geek on the planet and is always giving me his cast offs but I don't know much about them and haven't really taken the time to learn.) I organize all of my books, cds, perfume, etc. and document it all on spreadsheets, scentbase, librarything, etc. Did I mention that I'm Aspergers? I think that is probably the definition of geek. I used to go to all of the Sci Fi conventions but that dropped off because I moved away to Texas, then Colorado, and just kind of got out of the habit. Plus getting older = less energy & more responsibilities. sigh.

I don't read comics anymore.. I did read a lot of them growing up. I love graphic novels though. I think I don't like reading comics because they are too short and my attention span is much much much longer. Same reason I don't like to watch TV (except on dvd/netflix/on demand) - I don't like being interupted with commercials.

I'm not "obsessed" with anything geeky (am I??), for TV right now we are watching Dexter (streaming on netflix, again for me on S1/S2, first time for the boyflame), just finished watching all of Lost on Netflix streaming. Started to watch Dead Like Me but the bf didn't like it. I have all of Twin Peaks on dvd and most of Red Dwarf (up to S5?) and have been watching Red Dwarf streaming from Netflix at work since the BF doesn't like british humor (WTF?) When True Blood comes back on I'll have to watch that every time a new episode is out. oh!! And I'm very excited about A Game of Thrones coming to HBO next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love those books. I want a Game of Thrones "Winter is Coming" girly babydoll with the raven!! I saw some on the HBO Store website.

I have worked in a geeky field as tech support or unix system admin since 1991 or so.

I used to play RPG's... D&D starting in 4th grade (that was before it was AD&D ), Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, Paranoia, Paladium, etc. I met people when I lived in Toronto because I (1) called bbses and (2) played RPGs. Being a hot girl didn't hurt!! Some of my characters are used as NPC's in some Cyberpunk games and many of my Torontonian friends are listed as test players in the GURPS cyberpunk (I was as sick as a dog for many months and couldn't test with them.) Played Vampire: The Masquerade when it first came out and was part of the Seattle Camarilla originally but that didn't last too long because I couldn't stand most of the other people. I gave all of my game manuals to my son who is in college now and running many campaigns. He has tried a few of his campaigns out on me and Pixiepetal (my friend Lisa, she has an account here on bpal.org but doesn't read or post much.)

I do love geeky toys, I have a talking Tick doll, many Sandman & NMBC dolls & figurines, etc. I just don't have a lot of ROOM for things like that right now, so most of them are packed up in storage.

Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Everything of course. I'll know more after Will Call tonight.

If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? No, I wouldn't be creeped out. I'm usually one of the local minions delivering things!! However I do have a lot of depression and anxiety, so I'm not always "up" for going out and being social.

Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? I could use another Swissgold Tea Filter. Anything I want is under my "Cooking" wishlist on Amazon. Ninja cookie cutters.. Skull & Crossbone egg/pancake mold... skeleton hand condiment set.. bone spreaders.. skull cupcake pans.. all edges brownie & lasagna pans.. ingenuiTEA tea maker, electric kettle, just to name a few. I can always use measuring cups and spoons.

Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? Silk and velvet are definitely favorites. Really high thread count cotton for pillow cases. It depends on the item?? However, if it were yarn-y, my favorite would be MCN (merino cashmere nylon) for non-socks, and merino with a little nylon for socks. or Merino-silk blends. Or heck, merino silk cashmere blends.

Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? That would be super sweet! When I was younger the "best friend" matching rings/necklaces/whatever always intrigued me but I was a loner and didn't have a best friend to share such a thing with. My horse wasn't really interested.

What three things are you craving right now? Right now? I'd like a cupcake, a winning mega millions ticket, and to go home and go back to bed. I guess that's not really "craving" other than the cupcake.

paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. no thanks.

What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Pumpkin King or Noir, just to see what the fuss is about.

Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Nah. I would have said Beekeeping for Dummies if asked last week, but I already bought it.

Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Haven't even looked. I haven't been able to afford new Villainess or Arcana from the latest updates and am not really a huge Violette Market fan. Easier just not to look.

What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? Favorite type of wine is ice wine and tawney port (I think I already answered this somewhere.) With mead being my favorite really, although it's mead - not wine. Close enough!! I have tried to get more into wine and will work with my wine snob friends and do pairings with dinner or with fruit/cheese/bread/chocolate and I tend to like those, but I really just don't drink very often. I wish I could have more wine with "dinner" but since I work graveyard I can't have anything with dinner (breakfast?) and I don't feel like drinking a glass of wine when I get home at 8am. So I have it on special occasions. I have some lovely huckleberry mead that I've been saving. For staples I usually get Chaucers Mead, Warre's Warrior Special Reserve Port, Graham's "Six Grapes" Port, etc. mostly because these are plentiful and inexpensive. I can't remember which ice wines I buy, I would recognize the bottle. I usually buy from Costco or from the grocery store because, again, inexpensive. When I visit my friends in Portland who run Cocoa Velvet, I usually go along to the wine tastings that they participate in - they do pairings with their chocolate. The farmer's market has a booth with delightful spiced blackberry wine that I adore. I'd be up for trying something new, especially a new dessert wine.

Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I love the Vosges chocolate bunnehs (especially Naga but I haven't looked to see if they have that flavor this year, I can just get the candy bar after all.) Cadbury mini eggs!!! Starburst jelly beans.

What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Snake Oil! O. Most of my favs are LE anyway (sigh.) Usually the GC's I love are for more than just scent: Baku, GRR, Bitch, TAL's, etc. so it would be really bad if any of those were to disappear.

Are there decants that you wished you ordered but didn't? Things you wish you had ordered more of?
I haven't been able to afford Liliths yet, let alone Weenies or Yules... But I'm going to try to get Liliths before they go down. My wishlist is up to date with Weenies and Yules.

Are your Amazon, Etsy etc wishlists up to date?
They should be. Amazon has priority settings so please sort high to low; I wish we could do that with Etsy.

how do you feel about animated films?
I used to be way more into anime but I'm not really anymore. My son has stolen all of my Ranma 1/2 dvds. I still watch some disney and pixar movies occasionally. NMBC is love! I watch Coraline once a year or so. My current fave animated movies besides NMBC are Brave and How to Train Your Dragon.

Is there a book you've always meant to read, but never got round to it?
Sure, but I have them already. My amazon book wishlist is very up to date; the books I really want are marked as very high or high priority. I put lots of inexpensive kindle books on there too.

If you've expressed an interest in candles, do you prefer unscented or scented and if the latter, what scents?
Sorry, I've answered so many similar swap questions that I can't keep track of which is which anymore! I love beeswax pillars like the ones from Big Dipper Waxworks (not rolled beeswax, I prefer poured.) Candles with intent would be fine! I do prefer pillars over jars because wick placement is usually better in pillars. Scent wise I like things like Vanillas, spices (clove, cardamom, cinnamon in small amounts), woodsy, bayberry, smoky, incense, marshmallow, patchouli, resins, tobacco, lavender, geranium, sandalwood, rose, etc. and lean towards essential oil types of the scent. For example, I think the yankee candle lavender smells nothing like actual lavender. There are some candles on my etsy and amazon wish lists - there are some Witch City Wicks, Dark Candles, etc. that I have been lusting over but I can't justify spending monies on them.

Do you like windchimes or other similar tinkley noisemakers?
I would love some gargoyle windchimes. (I have some unicorn ones and some that I inherited from my grandmother. Most of the ones that I long after are probably too expensive.) I still kind of lust over a small gargoyle guardian bell (I think there is one on my amazon wishlist, they're meant to put on motorcycles.) If you were to find something cool like that, it would be great. I wouldn't say no to a tibetan singing bowl for my altar.

Do you/would you like Christmas/holiday music? If so, any particular genres or styles?
I already have a lot of Christmas holiday music from my favorite bands so no thank you.

Do you have a Goodreads? Is it useful for my stalking purposes?
I do have a goodreads but I don't think it would be useful for stalking purposes. My amazon would be more useful. (I like librarything better than goodreads but it still isn't completely updated because most of my books have been packed up for 15-20 years. Link is in my SW help.)

Are there any holiday movies or shows you would particularly love to get your hands on?
Maybe some of the nostalgic rudolph christmas animated movies? (Year without a Santa Claus)

Would you prefer your nourishment to be literal (i.e., actual food) or representative?
Totally up to you. Bath/body, food, whatever.

In terms of actual food, are you comfortable with homebaked goodies so long as potential allergens are not involved?
    yes!

Do you have favorite holiday foodstuffs?
Last year I received a homemade christmas pudding and it was SO GOOD. I need the recipe! And then I bought some sticky toffee pudding from World Market and that was delicious too.

Are you adverse to burning things as part of your sacrifice?
Would rather not unless it's meant to be burnt (incense, candles, paper.)

So how do you feel about teas? Would you be interested in getting some for your "nourishment" part of your gift? If so, are there particular companies you love or have always wanted to try? Special varieties you like- holiday blends, or decaf or solid standards like Earl Grey or Sencha?
I have so much tea it isn't funny. I wouldn't ever say no to Mariage Freres though.

And what about tea accoutrements, like rock sugar, nice honey (I have a fabulous apiary that is literally 6 blocks from my house!), a special spoon?
I always love locally sourced honey. I could use a really large (32oz) teavana perfectea maker.

Or maybe coffee is more your thing? And would you want your beans whole or ground (if ground, what grind do you like?)
I'm good on coffee I think, unless you have a super special blend you want to share with me. I usually prefer whole bean but I am not sure I'll be able to find my grinder or my french press. The only coffee maker in the house right now is my dad's keurig.

Scented candle lovers: do you have a favorite store/brand?
Indie companies are love. I'd love to try Witch City Wicks or Dark Candles (there are some on my bath / beauty / fragrance amazon wishlist for a hint of what kind of fragrances I like.) I just ordered a bunch of candles from Sihaya and Co. because she was having a secret menu sale so I finally get to try those. I was hoping to get some for swapping but they aren't guaranteed to be mailed until the middle of december. Oops.

Favorite/Least favorite bath products (e.g. do you like scrubs, bar soap, gel)?
    Favorites: shower gel, salt/oil scrubs
Least favorite: bar soap (because I make it and I have about 500 bars.)

No SLS or parabens, trying to avoid phthalates. My skin is uber dry from thyroid issues and also breaks out really easily.

What sounds are comforting for you? Any that bring up good memories?
Hoofbeats, saddle leather creaking, horse tails swishing, neighing. (Yes, I miss my horses.) I have lots of white noise generators on my phone and I use those to sleep when I'm away from home. At home I have a noisy air cleaner to provide white noise.

Do you like and use christmas/other celebration decorations, baubles and the like?
I used to buy a purple, iridescent, sparkly, or some kind of mystical creature (dragon, unicorn, grotesque) every year for my tree but haven't done that lately. My ex didn't really like having a real tree. I doubt we'll have a real tree this year either because I'm staying with my 70-something parents and they have a little fake tree that they like to put up. My mom already has all of the decorations she needs (and more.) I'm always sad that they don't have a fireplace - so no good place to hang stockings. (Yes, I still do a stocking for my kid who is almost 30 and for my parents, and they do one for me.) I have one of those aluminum trees with a disco light in storage somewhere with all of my Christmas decorations.

Would YOU like to receive a singing bowl?
    Yes!

Would you mind receiving a pre-loved book (one in good condition)?
I have a really hard time reading physical books because of my eyes. My contact prescription is too strong to read things. I do all of my reading on my ipad these days with either ibooks or the kindle app.

How do you feel about fruitcake, assuming that I can make it without any stated allergens?
We just made cherry almond fruitcake today! That's the only fruitcake I've ever had that I liked.

How about rum/whiskey/bourbon balls (these are no-cook, so the alcohol is still pretty potent)?
Heck yeah!! But I don't like walnuts.

What is your favorite store-bought holiday treat?
such a hard question. maybe the chocolate covered peppermint joe-joes from trader joes? I already bought a couple of boxes though and I had two boxes leftover from last year since R wasn't around to eat them all. (Amazing how much longer my treats last without someone else to eat them all.) I'm having a hard time thinking of winter holiday treats... I can think of valentine day treats (cupcake royale's "Death Cake") but the brain fog is blocking my thoughts right now. oh! I was going to buy some Sticky Toffee Pudding from World Market but they didn't have any so we might attempt to make our own this year. Most of the "store bought" stuff I used to get was from local bakeries/stores/grocery stores, I miss all of my Seattle stores.

Would you like me to attempt a small painting of your fur baby or to honor a former fur baby?  If so, can you provide a reference photo you like?
YESSSSS  I will have to think about reference photo.

I actually splurged and ordered some Liliths and Weenies.  Are there any decants you're interested in that you didn't order?
I think I ordered most of what I wanted!  But anything I didn't order is fair game!  (You can see what I ordered in the CNS thread.)

If you're up for knits or crochet, would you prefer washclothes, headbands, wrist cuffs, fingerless mitts, hats, or a shawlette (wear like scarf except not as long so can't wrap around your neck more than 1-2x.)  I could probably find a bunch of the above with moon motifs or for dogs/sneks/birbs/cats to wear.    (I made a wolfenoot bundle of patterns, will keep adding as I find cute things.)  (sneks are here-> https://www.ravelry.com/bundles/snek-hats)
I would love sooo many things!  I totally think Zuul and Bailey need unicorn snoods.

I'm getting more confident in my embroidery and I'm ready to try my hand at embroidery on clothing. Would you be interested in a hand embroidered scarf?
I'd love embroidery on a hankie or something to hang on the wall!!

are you interested in an advent calendar?  What kind?  (Dog cookie, tea, chocolate, etc.)
yesssss I love dog cookie ones (but I'll probably grab one from Trader Joes if they come out and I see one), Divine chocolate, Lindt chocolate, TEA (I'm thinking David's Tea and Bird & Blend or some fancy tea, so probably too spend for this swap.)

If I were to send a toy from one of my favorite critter toy sources, would you have any preferences? (squeaky/not, plush, chewy, etc.)
The dogs LOVE those latex (multipet globlet -- would try any of the latex ones from multipet) piggies (I have some on my amazon list ... and their big one got run over by the truck the other day when we were taking straw bales out to the pig/goat barn -- it make a HUGE pop and blew stuffing out.  Oops.)   Flat tough squeak, flat tough crinkle.   The accordian pig one looks fun but I have no idea what it's durability is.  The multipet are actually pretty durable.

Little Wolfies - Arcana has dropped Hallowitch stuff and a 15% off deal. Shout out if you see anything you'd love!
I would totally try Wolfling and Witches watch Sci-Fi Movies.

What are your favorite shops to buy fun things (treats, toys, clothes, whatever) for your fuzzy friends?
Mud Bay in Seattle area and surrounds are my favorite place for treats because 1) bulk 2) reasonably priced.  Unfortunately I only get over to that side usually once or twice a year so when I go, I have to stock way up and then keep the treats in sealed containers and hope they don't lose their freshness.  Right now we also have some dehydrated liver treats (the dogs LOVE love love LOVE these) and some seasonal treats from Trader Joes (maple bacon pumpkin or something crazy.)   Sometimes I get the liver on chewy, sometimes on amazon, just depends on where I can get the best deal.    I really like BarkBox but I can't afford it since no income, but every once in a while I'll just get ONE box for them if there is a good special.   I also used to hit up "Earth Pet" and "All the Best" in Seatown.  There are a couple of places here that are cute but they seem really expensive to me, so .. yeah, mostly google for what I want and go with best price.  Although Winco did have some super cute dog "costumes"  -- I totally want the FBI coat that they have for Miss Bailey of the Super Snoof.  She should totally be a working hound doing nosework and drug sniffing or something, she gets bored easily and then gets into trouble.  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too smart for her own good.  (Zuul is smart but is content to just snuggle and cling to me most of the time like a good velvet hippo.)

    Favorite tea brands and flavors?
This is in my questionnaire and on the bottom of my SW Help / Wishlist and also on my Amazon Beverages wishlist.

Would you want a watercolor of your pet? NO promises that it will be amazing- just wanted to ask in case you prefer a different pic for watercolor vs pain
Of course!!  I still haven't looked at fav photos tho.  I suck.

Dear wolfeloot, are you interested in a microwaveable bowl cozy?
I have lots but I can always use cute moon fabric!  Black with white moons, or blue/purple batik with white moons would be awesome.  (no gold or yellow please.)

Dear 'loot -- would you like a 2023 wall calendar (or other type?)   What kind?
Yes, I could use a wall calendar!!  I love all kinds!  I had a Lisa Frank one last year and I love snarky, pitbulls, friesians, whatever.  No animals pooping though please, kthx.

Are you interested in having any freshly dried apple crips?   (Golden Delicious and Fuji -- sliced, dried apples with nothing added.)
    I already have them, nom!

how culinarily adventurous would you say you are????
I love ethnic foods but I don't want to eat brains or bugs or whatever.  (also I am pretty picky about organic, non-gmo, no synthetic food color, etc.  I prefer my meat to be humanely raised.)

If you have cats, would you like some organic catnip harvested from my property and dried in our dehydrator?

I actually splurged and ordered some Liliths and Weenies.  Are there any decants you're interested in that you didn't order?

    Questions here ->

    My answers:

Are there any currently available BPAL scents that you would love a bottle of?
After hearing a review of Hearts are Not Had as Gifts, I really want a bottle of that.  I also have more in my wishlist in my signature.

Is there anything you're eyeing from Paintbox Soapworks' winter update?
I love Streusel, Sorbetto, and wax melts.   The scents I'm interested in are Joulupukki and Schwarzwald.  Maybe Golden Orb.  I am still really wanting some Moonshadow as well but that wasn't part of the yule drop I don't think.  I have a wishlist pertaining to PBSW in my "Wishlist and Circular Swap Help" that is in my signature.

Would you like anything from Cellar Door (they do soaps and candles)?
I would love a Krampusnacht!  Bad Santa sounds amazing as well.

Anything of interest from Luvmilk? (Milky Monday, their version of Black Friday, is on 11/7!)
I have a huge luvmilk list in my wishlist/circular swap help in signature.

Crocheted Granny shawl. Yes or No? Preferred colors? (this one is pressing, I would need to start soon)
    No thank you!

BPal wax melts? I have TKO and Red Velvet Cake, Would bundle up a few for you to try of one, or both if you like.
TKO would be my preference but I rarely rarely rarely use wax melts, so would probably be wasted on me.

Are you interested in boozy homemade fruitcake?
I make a homemade fruitcake that is delicious, so I guess I could try yours!  I am picky about fruit and about nuts though... so maybe have ringleaders ask me with specific questions about what is in it.

How about booze itself, specifically, moonshine whiskey infused with spices and fruits?
    Small sample would be lovely!

Brown sugar shortbread? "Plain" buttery or flavored? Favorites include lavender and chocolate orange, but I could definitely do a holiday spice or peppermint batch or two.
Lavender and chocolate orange both sound amazing.  No peppermint.

Interested in anything from Odins Daughter?
Bath soaks sound lovely (all three sound good, but maybe especially banish because cloves.)
YULE and Winter Nights both sound amazing.  Candles / Mist.
    Two Faces of Hel candle!!
    BONFIRE melts!!

And tacking on to this question for others in reference to Em, I make infused vodkas! The one I am most proud of right now is a spiced hibiscus liqueur. I make this as a jelly, too. As far as the Liqueur, We have been making an autumn Moscow Mule with it, and the other day I made a Mai Tai! Its yummy!
I already have both the hibiscus liqueur and jelly from MsASofgg!   Would take any other infused vodkas!

If I can find the recipe, I want to make my grandmas Orange Slice Cake. Its a super yummy cake but a bit difficult to make as far as cutting up all the oranges. If you would like a mini cake IF I make it, lemme know!
As long as the coconut could be left out?  (I'm not really a fan of nuts in cake either.  It's a texture thing.)

I do molasses gingerbread cookies, as well as hot cocoa cookies, florentines and butterballs. Any of those sound good? OR homemade chocolate fudge? I can do peppermint, coffee or orange additions, with or without nuts.
Hello molasses gingerbread cookies!!   I'm good for almost any kind of cookies but do not love coffee flavored things and meh on peppermint.  I don't really like nuts or coconut or texture things in my baked goods.  Fudge I am kind of meh on unless it is penuche or a super special flavor (because we make SO much fudge, I'm totally burned out on it!)

My favorite incense store is Good Earth Mercantile, any interest for an incense from them?
I don't know much about them, if it is low smoke and they don't use phthalates or other things in their scents for the incense, then yesssss.   Orange patchouli!  Maybe Lilith?   I went through and added a bunch to my etsy altar/incense wishlist.

Are you a cotton candy fan? Would anything from Chocolate Storybook interest you?
I like cotton candy and I probably have things from this company already on my etsy snacks/tea/noms wishlist, haha!

Body Scrubs from CarolinaOrganicsSC are AHHHHMAZING! Any interest?
OMG their bath bombs are too cute!   And I love Stranger Things.  I would definitely try any of their items that match my scent profile in bath bombs, melts, candles, shampoo bars, body scrubs, maybe soap if their soap is spectacular as well.    The Dark Kiss bath bomb looks awesome (I wonder if they'll put their Halloween items on sale??)  Again, I didn't find a scent list and I'm not in a place right now where I can click on All The Things with my hand pain.

House of MetalWorks has super cute and dainty gold-filled stacking rings in my price range! If this interests you, include ring size!
I love silver colored dainty rings!  I am an 11 on almost all of my fingers except pinkies.

Several questionnaires mention joy in receiving homemade baked goods. What are your favorite holiday baked goods? Cookies, Cakes, Fudge? Other?
I love soft, chewy, and moist things, as opposed to hard/dry/cronchy.  Chewy molasses cookies are something that don't seem to be made at home.  I love a good medieval ginger brede (soft, sticky.)  And pumpkin gingerbread (like pumpkin bread.)   I would love to try things like butter pie (sweet, not the savory kind in England) but I'm sure that won't travel well.

I have an allergy to corn, so please no corn syrup or other corn products.  No artificial sweeteners.   No coconut.  (coconut sugar/oil/etc. is ok, I just don't like the texture of coconut.)  I try to do organic and non-gmo as much as possible.  Yep, I'm one of those weird people.  Sorry, not sorry.

(We make:  rum balls, krumkake, spritz cookies (usually flavored with rum or almond), chocolate chip cookies, fudge (chocolate), chocolate tiffin (usually with cherries/shortbread), cherry/almond/marzipan/pear/amaretto fruitcake, sugar cookies, scottish tablet, russian teacakes, princess buttercups, peanut butter cookies, snickerdoodles, cranberry bliss bar sbux dupe, flaky peanut brittle, chocolate topped butter toffee almond bark (like almond roca I guess, but flat?), ummmm brain has now shut down so I'll edit if I remember more of what we traditionally make.)  It sounds like we eat a lot of cookies/candy but we usually make them to give to neighbors and as care packages.   We also make (and eat) a lot of Lefse during the holidays.

Are you into peanut butter cookies? If yes, would you enjoy them with creamy or crunchy PB?
I prefer creamy -- I don't like cronchy texture in my baked goods.  (So no nuts in anything soft.)

I am thinking of making flavored sugar.
wtf, all of them.  I can use them on caramels and cookies.  (rose and lavender are my top, maybe lavender lemon.)

Would you like anything from Witch Baby Soap? (Make sure to check the Throwback Thursday section of the website; they bring back a few things every Thursday!)
I went through and added a bunch of things to my Amazon Universal wishlist (under bath/beauty/body)

Pickety witch has the yule offerings up, including Yule Cat pins (black or white) and ornaments.  Which do you love most?
YES YES YES the white Yule Cat pin.   There are so many there I want.

Do you like any specific roast more than another? Light? Dark? Medium? Breakfast Blend?
I pretty much only drink dark roast.  And I've got my grinder out, found one of my french presses, and also got some of the little keurig "my k-cup" things that you put your own coffee inside and I'm using it every day!  So bring on the whole beans!!   (I'm sad that Death Wise "Blue and Buried" and "Gingerdead" only come in ground, but I would absolutely take them that way.)

Haus of Gloi's Yule is up, fancy anything?
    Any of these!

Yule Body Powder: Long Winter's Nap
Yule Butter Bomb: Marshmallow World, Boughs of Holly
Yule Soy Candle: Turkish Delight, Three Treasures, Snow Wolf, Tannenbaum

Yule Bubbling Scrub, Yule Refresher Spray, Yule Soy Tart, Yule Whipped Soap, or Yule Sugar Exfoliant:
    Nefarious Gingerbread Man
    Turkish Delight
    Long Winter's Nap

Teeturtle has some adorable designs and their t-shirts often go on sale. Any designs that appeal?
I already have a bunch of teeturtle designs on my amazon universal wishlist (the clothing one) with sizes and everything.

Anything from the Lunacy You are eyeballing?
I was going to order but evidently I overspent on Wolfenoot, Krampus, and Yule cat -- oops!    I absolutely NEED:
    * Portrait of an Unidentified Man Dressed as a Skeleton
    * Schrodinger's Checkmark
