(most of the other questions were updated in the thread -- poke me if you want me to post them here!)

Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? Like the perfume equivilent of a security blankie?
Probably some of the TAL's -- energy, white light, bastet's laughter, anthelion, peace, etc. I am only decants of them (except anthelion) and would love to have 5ml's.

What are you going to be for Halloween?
That would require PLANNING! I always want to be Frank the Bunny but I don't have enough money to afford the outfit.

If you could make a scent that represents where you live (or have lived), what would be the ingredients?
The Pacific NW is a myriad of scents, the most prominent being GREEN and RAINY from September to July. But there are many many more depending on where you hang out. I would add clove (clove cigarettes and oil mixed with henna on hands/skin), roses (the rose garden), lavender (tons of lavender farms), honey (lots of beekeepers; I had honey bees in my back yard in a hollow cotton wood tree!), apples (tons of apple orchards!), chocolate (I know many Seattle based chocolate companies), coffee (duh!), patchouli (lots of hippies!), sandalwood (tons of incense stores), and wow -- I'm not sure this would smell good.

Are you in need of Roller bottles or anything of the like?
I wouldn't mind a couple of small roller bottles, especially in cobalt, purple, or green! Ooh. And maybe some larger ones for my bath oil since I don't actually use it as bath oil very often.

    9/24/10
Just curious, but if your witch was to make an amigurumi critter (or other plushie) just for you, what would it be?
I have a ton listed as Favorites in my ravelry queue. The fabulous Dixiehellcat made me a pitbull (!!!!!!) I'd like a equine type creature, hippocampus, ferret, cthulhu, or whatever!

Would you want a local/tourist item from your witch? Like a t-shirt, mug or shot glass?
I would love local 20z "City mug" from Starbucks! Or a Bearista with your city name! I collect Starbuck's City Mugs and Bearistas. I don't wear t-shirts very often, so no shirts please. I do wear zip up hoodies!

Okay, who wants NAlloween and some Vampire Apothecary goodness?
I'm not going to look. LA LA LA LA. Those don't exist! Hush!

    Venomous Villains?
Yes! But I already ordered mine. Of course if you were determined to shower me with MORE how could I say no? I ordered most of the Maleficent line except the lip stuff. Which I am kind of now wishing that I ordered.

    Last Unicorn?
    ZOMFG yes.

Who is your fav Disney Villian/villianess? How about hero/herione? (doesn't have to be specifically Disney though)
I like Maleficent -- how can you go wrong with black, purple, and dragons?? Was the new Tim Burton "Alice in Wonderland" disney? I really liked Alice in this movie, especially how she didn't feel that she needed a man to be successful or happy. Too many Disney heroines equate men/love with happiness/success. Although I did like Belle in Beauty and the Beast initially since she (1) knew how to handle a horse properly (2) was a book worm and (3) wasn't interested in the guy just because he was hot and had muscles. Don't get me wrong, I love men and my boyfriend. But my goals were never just to get married and pop out kids. Which probably explains why I'm still not married.

    9/23/10
Do you collect stones/rocks? I'm talking like "semi" precious stones, ie moonstone, bloodstone, quartz ect. Are there any that you're looking for at the moment? Are you in need of a stone but don't know which kind?
I love love love gemstones. I would like some stones that are beneficial in overcoming depression, sloth, anxiety, etc. and promote happiness and energy.

What's your favorite Halloween Music? Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. And "Everyday is Halloween" by Ministry, although I suppose it's an everyday song.

    9/22/10
Do you have a deviantart print wishlist or favourites list?
    No.

Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? Halloween update?
No. See part about no more veins for more addictions.

What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes?
I would feel weird if someone bought me used shoes and new shoes that I like would be too expensive. I think I answered the shoe size question in my original questionnaire but I'm a US size 10 womens. I mostly wear Fluevogs and Converse. I have a pair of Birkenstocks for loafing around the house and a pair of slip on sandals that I wear all summer. I wear aquasox and tevas when boating.

Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books?
    No thank you.

Do you like weird scary things as traditionally girly fashion items like heels and handbags?
I loathe heels with a passion, mostly because I can't walk in them and they hurt. I like knitting handbags but otherwise prefer messenger bag type bags. But yes, I like my traditionally girly things to be either geeked or gothed up big time.

What song is on heavy rotation for you right now?
Winter by Tori Amos. And Crucify by the same artist.

Are you coveting any of the NYCC atmospheric sprays?
YES. But I think I have a fairy.

If you could get any one thing hand-painted from your witch, what would it be and what would be on it?
A box would be sweet. Gargoyles, friesians, bats, ravens, pit bulls.. purple and black and grey. I'm easy.

Would you (assumin' you're a yarnie) be interested in a naturally-dyed yarn that's designed to very gradually fade with washing?
Er. I don't know? What would I make with it? Would it fade to white? I hate white.

If you have played before, what are some of the most memorable things you've gotten? What really made you go WOW? If you haven't played, same thing, but not limited to SW.
Friends! I loves the people. Things are just things. But I have a super box that is painted with purple and grey in kind of a celtic knot pattern, love! And socks and arm warmers! And a cool pendant that I have in my car to ward off stupid people! A cool yarn bowl! Silver snowflakes and cookie cutters! TOO MANY COOL THINGS.

    9/21/10
Do you like garlic? Do you REALLY like garlic? Would you want to try some really unusual garlic stuff, like garlic cheese or garlic fudge or garlic chocolate, etc., etc., etc.?
I love garlic! I used to always go to this italian restaurant's garlic festival and have garlic chocolate chip cookies, garlic cheesecake (not really cheesecake, but shaped like one -- goat cheese with tons of garlic!) om nom nom! I eat it raw, roasted, cooked...

Can I talk to you about the living dead? How do you feel about Zombies?
Meh, zombies. I have a Zombie Haiku book that I treasure because it's from our beloved VoodooCatWoman and I've downloaded World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide.. but not really a HUGE fan of zombies.

    9/20/10
If you happened to be my Witchee, is there something you'd like from the Arcana Halloween update?
I have already purchased a few bottles (or preordered from SoapBoxCo.)

How many bottles of BPAL do you have?
Um. I'll have to look when I get home since I destashed quite a bit. Scentbase still claims around 1200 regular sized bottles.

Is there any exercise program that you're interesting in learning? Meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Belly Dancing, Zumba ect? Or if you do any of these (or anything else sport related) are there any things you need/want? I'd kind of like to learn yoga, maybe belly dancing (I already have some cd's and books), and lots of martial arts of various types.

Candles, music, mats, water bottles ect?
candles are good but I'm a little snobby about them. I like really high quality candles that are smooth and melt nicely.

    Anyone else into Emily Autumn?
    Who?

What's on your walls? Please show us up to three paintings/posters/whatever. If you love a painting so much that you would steal (to watch it with your greedy eyes) one, please share.
Honestly, I don't have any of my own art on my walls (except a calendar and a few framed photos of my dogs) because we were living in the basement MIL apartment of the BF's dad.. and dad had all of his framed photos of planes everywhere. He passed away in May but we haven't taken anything down yet... eventually we will take it all down, get rid of the nasty wood paneling and sheetrock, mud, paint, etc. And then I have a ton of gargoyles that will probably go up on the walls and *some* framed art, mostly made by my friends like the ones on Slumberland.org that say "collection of S. Walker".

do you like Girl Scout cookies? What kind?
    Yes. Samoas and Thin Mints.

What's your take on homemade apple butter? Want some?
    Yum! Sure!

    9/19/10
Do you read/like fantasy? What kind of books or authors do you love? Which one would you like to read? Would you like gifts related to it? I luuuuuuuuuv fantasy. Epic. Fantasy. I have most of the fantasy that I read except for the unreleased ones. Although I have pre-ordered the new Terry Pratchett book already, I am WAITING on pins and needles for a bunch of the unreleased books on my amazon wish list, all are marked HIGH PRIORITY.

Soaps : do you like them? What brands? What scents? Anything you're dying to try?
Yes, I like soap. But I make my own cold process hand milled soap so I don't ever purchase any.

I wondered if my witch or any witch would enjoy things like nice pens to draw with or anything similar?
I don't draw. Nice pens are probably wasted on me but I do love purple pens that write smoothly.

For those who are yarnies, would you like other-than-yarn witchery? Hooks, needles? Preference of material? Do you use/would you like handmade stitch markers, etc.?
YARN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need some blocking wires and pins. I can always use more gothy stitch markers or cute stitch markers with gargoyles, bats, skulls, pit bulls, or whatnot. I prefer stitch markers in a range of sizes from needle size 2 up to 11.

Does anyone do altered books? Would you be interested in old books to alter? Any type or title in particular?
    Nah.

Did someone ask about incense yet? Would you like some? Something to store or burn it in? What scents? What form?
I love incense but I have a TON of it and never burn it because the other half coughs and chokes pathetically.

Any oddball free things you collect or would want saved for you?
    No.

    9/18/10
Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind?
eh, my hair fluctuates between being shaved and awkward to do anything with. The only hair toys I really love are dreadfalls.

Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense?
Dog safe but not child safe.

In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats?
I love wrist warmers! I don't really like cowls so much, even the ones that fasten instead of just slipping over the head, and I have a few already since I knit, my mom knits, my friends knit, etc. Slippers might be fun, I have some felted slipper patterns in my favs on Ravelry. I don't wear knitted hats. I could use a knitted headband maybe! Lately I've been into little shawls worn around the neck like scarves.

How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories?
Not really one way or another. It depends on the item I suppose? I love reusing cute little tins for things but when someone says upcycled clothing, I think of Regretsy.

Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update? Haven't looked. I have been gifted things from Violette Market but I haven't purchased any on my own and really, do I need another drug?? I'm out of veins! And Money!

What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...)
I like temperate bordering on cool. We have all sorts of fun things in Washington and I like it all - mountains, desert, rain forest, ocean, other forest, plains, canyons...

What do you wish you could make/craft if you had the know-how and supplies? Specifically, which particular items?
There are a lot of sweaters that I want to knit. Oh, wait, I have the supplies and know-how, just not the time. Um. Hm. Maybe things like Saddles. Oh, and I'd love to do silversmithing and make lockets and rings.

Is there anything you would like from Conjure Oils general catalogue or the new updates that isn't already on your wishlist?
    Nope.

Am I alone in this, or is there a Book Fair/Comic Con scent you're dying to get your paws on, too?
YES. The one coming up at the Book Fair. *whine*

    Anyone need address/phone type books?
    No, thank you.

    9/17/10
Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it??
I have Red Dwarf seasons 1-5 and would like the rest. I'd love Ranma 1/2! There are a lot of movies that I would like to have on DVD but of course I can't think of them off the top of my head. I love used dvds (or burned.)

Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after?
Please don't buy me any Possets.

Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?)
MY LITTLE PONY! I'd love a My Little Cthulhu pony! And altered Breyer Horses into Hippocampus or Friesians are favs of mine. Barbies would be ok if they were altered into something severely BDSM related.

Do you like the candy apple, candy corn or pumpkin spice kisses?
I don't really like Hersheys but I'd be willing to try small samples of odd flavors.

    Anne Taintor, anyone?
    Who?

Which web comics do you enjoy?
I used to read "Not Wild, Just Crazy" and "Something Positive". And something about the Devil's Panties. But I don't read web comics anymore, just don't think about it.

    9/16/10
If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist?
My mom always makes me super long skinny ones so I have a lot of those. I'd actually prefer shawlettes or a big shawl. Or a rectangular wrap that is wide enough to wear like a shawl but could also double as a head covering or scarf.

Don't like scarves? Would a rectangular shawl or triangular shawl be more to your taste?
    Yes.

How do you feel about recipes?
I need someone to cook them for me.

What kind of a cook/baker are you?
One that doesn't ever spend time cooking or baking if possible.

Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program?
No one delivers to where I live, but I don't eat most prepackaged food from the grocery store either. Usually we eat out or I have to cook. Or we grill.

If I send you something home made would you like the recipe for it?
    Sure.

If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes?
WHAT? WHO WOULDN'T WANT BAKED GOODS???

How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients?
Meh. I would probably NEVER use it, honestly.

if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens?
Black. Flavored is good. I have enough black coconut right now, but I love smoky teas, and ZOMG I'd love some more butterscotch black tea from Mariage Frères in France. I love many blends from The Tea Cup in Seattle!

    9/15/10
How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not?
Eh, I have enough clutter and no place to put it all.

Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to?
I have a stack of books to read (YAY!) -- Just started Bite Me by Christopher Moore.

Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them?
Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like?
I have watched Anime. No, I don't need anything related to Anime except possibly dvds. Sure, if my witch thinks I might like something, bring it on!

If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Obviously we don't want to copy anyone else's design, but if we can replicate the flavour or intent that you like without stepping on toes?
    Sure! Especially food!

OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns?
I like cotton, MCN (merino cashmere nylon), merino/silk, ... I like longer than ankle but not all the way up to my knee. I'm open on patterns.

How do people feel about word magnets I have tons of them and no place to put them, so no, please god no.

If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be?
Dang. I can't think of anything exciting off the top of my head. Most of the time I'd need the person's body to go with the costume or accessory!!

How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? Soap slices, lotion/scrub/shower gel decants, single use make-up/beauty products, etc.
Meh. I can take or leave them.

What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items?
I want a set of both Trick and Treat and then single items including the pumpkin one, licorice bats, ginger skulls, and the root beer trick one. Yes, I'm too lazy to go look right now.

    9/14/10
Chocolate or other types of candy?
Mmmm snobby expensive chocolate! Most other candy is loaded with corn syrup which I am trying to avoid, but I would probably nom it down anyway because I'm weak like that. I would love to try Wine Gums or interesting candy from other countries.

For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags?
Loose leaf is generally higher quality tea but I use tea bags too.

If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls?
Shawls! Shawlettes! Socks! Wrist warmers! Yay!

Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike?
again with the question I would have to think about.

Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect?
I could definitely use more measuring spoons. My local Target had a place for purple ones but they were SOLD. OUT. *weep*

Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit?
    Studio. Explicit is fine.

If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most?
Friesian horses, Bully breed dogs.. Love ferrets too. Ravens, bats...

Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)?
Lavender (I had 11 different varieties in my yard at one time), roses (especially purple extremely fragrant roses like Royal Amethyst, Love Potion, Sterling Silver, etc.), scented geraniums, most scented herbs. I have a purple hibiscus bush in the yard. Love butterfly bushes. Anything that butterflies like and that bees can use the pollen from for honey. I love night blooming flowers. Jasmine. Honeysuckle. Wisteria. I would LOVE to have a mimosa tree. I love all types of mint, thyme, rosemary, sage, catnip, etc. I need a huge herb knot garden!! And a hedge maze!

Do you have a favorite quotation? Song lyric? Book passage? WhateverthehecktheycalltheanonymousregionalwisdomthingiePROVERB! that word.
Again, hard for me to come up with things without extensive thinking.

What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do)
Noir? Pumpkin King? ha ha ha!!!

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.)
My child is 20 and doesn't live with me, but if you wanted to spoil him I could send his address. He loves to get mail, has bpal and a scent locket, role plays, etc.

Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that
I hesitate to google what a cat macro is. MP3's are always good. Amusing videos are good.

What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang)
Another thinking question. This is bad at night when I'm in the middle of doing a software conversion and just want to bang out some questions and people keep interupting me!! lol. Um, probably some kind of meat roasted in honey and spices, spiced mead, fresh fruit, crusty bread, triple cream brie and lots of other cheese, deep dark rich chocolate, port... or maybe I'd crave something else that night. My food tastes change depending on time of month or day or mood or what I've had to eat lately or season or..

    NaNoWriMo?
    No.

    9/13/10
Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I chose in my Q&A that I would like a high to medium contact witch, so hopefully I was matched appropriately!

Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? I try to keep it up to date on Scentbase.

Do you like maple sugar candy? It's good, I'll eat it, but I'm not super crazy about it.

What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? It's not something that you eat when you're craving chocolate. But really the bacon just adds a salty smokiness to it! I have the Vosges bacon-chocolate chip pancake mix in my wishlist, for example.

If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? No, sorry. Most stuff that I want or need, srsly, is on my extremely extensive amazon wish list.

Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? Tarragon (for salmon), granulated garlic, pepper.

Microsoft or Apple? Microsoft for PC's. But I do have an ipod, an iphone, and I'd like an ipad. But I don't really like itunes.

Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? Vacation? What's that?? I can't even remember where my last "vacation" was. We travel for business (monster trucks) but... I am going to say that the last time I went somewhere fun was the monster truck show in Portland, Oregon. Because I got to go stay with my super wonderful friends who run Cocoa Velvet (chocolate truffle/caramel company) for the weekend!! And I learned to make ganache. I love them dearly and love Portland. We went to some wonderful tea places (The Tea-Zone and more), super snobby chocolate places, some fetishy stores for valentine's day shopping, super awesome hole in the wall ice cream places, and they made cheese fondue for me, which I had never had. The only fly in the ointment was that it was Valentine's Day that weekend. (but they made me heart shaped pancakes for breakfast!!)

Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? I love getting postcards! I like getting handwritten letters too, but e-mail is just fine.

Do you hate any food things with a passion?? I don't like scallops... I don't really like lima beans either.

Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree? I don't subscribe to magazines. Don't really want a digital version either!

what interests you from the latest lab update? I run decant circles so I've already ordered everything from the lab update except for the forum only scents, which I will probably order on the next full moon.

How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I love pens and office things but I don't really have a plane for stationery/notepaper. Pens I can find a place for.

Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) YUM. PLEASE. I loooove pickles. I just picked up lavender jelly at the farmer's market and am going back for rose jelly.

If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? yes!

Would you like something you have to make yourself? I do a lot of make-it-myself and love it!

Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? It really depends on the item. Food? Sure! Jewelry? Of course! Soap/bath stuff? Bring it on! Yarn? Heck yeah!

Who is your favorite soap etailer? I make my own soap! I am my favorite soap etailer! (giggle) I rarely use soap from other companies. Tarty sent me a sample from Paintbox Soapworks and it was lovely! I have some Villainess that I need to open and try.

What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? vintage gargoyles FTW! teacups? um. I only use 20oz mugs and I have about 500 of them since I collect the Starbucks City Mugs.

With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? I would like the slow build up but since I already received a huge Villainess GC which was totally awesome, we've started off with a bang!! And I'm not complaining!

What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I just switched from Prescriptives to M*A*C. I just pre-ordered all of the Venomous Villians that I want so really I'm pretty set with makeup. I'm not a huge makeup person really (I rarely wear eyeshadow and am horrible at applying it) but I'm always looking at the "smoky eye" tutorials and I could probably use some really nice makeup brushes, especially for eyes. I like black/grey/purple eye pigments/shadows. I don't like matte; I love the frost and glittery shimmery ones.

Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you’d date/have relations with ) Without actually meeting them, no idea - personality is SO much more important to me. Based on just looks, accents, and roles? Vin Diesel, Gerard Butler, Alan Rickman (in his younger days), Ewan McGregor, Martin Gore. Not in any particular order.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go to last.fm immediately and create an account! Download the scrobbler! Link us to your account! If you reject this assignment, maybe just tell us what your mp3 player says you listen to a lot? But I already have a Pandora account! Fine, I created an account and did all of that. http://www.last.fm/user/misstwilight/

Any countries you're interested in? I have been to Spain and Italy -- LOVED THEM. Next I'd like to visit the UK, Germany, France, etc. The boyflame wants to go to Australia.

Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Yes!!

If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course! I'm not perfect and sometimes I make mistakes in my knitting or whatnot. I'm also a virgo and overly critical of my work.

Are you a foodie? I think so!

Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? The only sports I watch are canine/equine: dressage, 3 day eventing, grand prix horseshow jumping, agility, etc. The boyfriend mostly watches Monster Trucks (motorsports! it's a sport!) and since he's a driver, I have to say that my favorite is Captain USA. Or he'd pout.

For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I would like to start decorating now that we have the house to ourselves. I need to dig out the halloween stuff! I don't like crafty/folksy per se. I like more elegant/gothic?

Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? I have some friends that make beautiful coptic stitch journals and leather covered journals. I love them! But I don't draw or write in journals so they are wasted on me.

    9/11/10
Cake truffles? If YES! Cake/icing/chocolate type? I have no idea what these are, but I like cake and I like truffles. I prefer dark chocolate. I like buttercream icing? Not sure what my options are!

are you interested in mini bottles(under 100ml for hand luggage) of bath and body products? I don't really travel a lot, so no. I tend to "save" things like that for "someday" or "just in case" until they go bad and I have to toss them.

Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? Meh. Disliked Twilight (and they RUINED MY NAME and my business name!) But I watch True Blood and have read the Sookie Stackhouse books.

If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? I have a wii and an xbox 360. I wish there were more Zelda games - I started playing Zelda 20+ years ago. Finished Twilight Princess. Want another.

How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? I wish I had a gardener to come plant a ton of lavender, roses, herbs, etc. I would have a knot garden, a huge rose garden, and all sorts of themed gardens (shakespeare, night, butterfly, etc.) But our yard is not really set up for any of this and I'm unsure where to begin (and get overhwhelmed just thinking about it, yay autism!) so... um... no. I kill plants in the house. I have no place really for drawings, art, or pressed flowers. I do use dried flowers sometimes in sachets (mostly lavender and rose petals.)

How do you feel about marzipan? ick.

If you could have 3 BPAL bottles fall (gently) out of the sky right this second that you've been looking for or pining for - which 3 would they be? Queen of Spades, F54, Pumpkin King. Well, you asked! More realistically: Yvaine and any of the BPTP World Cup scents since I missed them all.

Are there any international treats that you love and have a hard time finding? I love Mariage Frères butterscotch tea. A friend in Germany sent me some and I've been hoarding it ever since! I love yarn from other countries as well, prefer merino - or at least soft squishy yarn. If anyone was able to go to the Wollmeise store in Germany, zomg!

Is there anything from the 'Ween BPTP update that you would like but haven't ordered for yourself? I haven't ordered anything yet but I'll probably get one (at least) of everything if I can afford it.

If you are a crafter, would you like to receive supplies from your witch (beads, fabric, yarn/roving etc?) Yarn is always welcome but I am super snobby about it; most anything you could buy in a Jo-Ann's or Michaels is not yarn I would want. I do have yarn options on my amazon wishlist if you want to get me yarn!

Find your iPod (or other MP3 device), put it on shuffle/random. What are the first five songs to come up? Sea of Sin (Depeche Mode), Black Metallic (Catherine Wheel), Sunday Bloody Sunday (u2), The Carnival is Over (Dead Can Dance), Down in it (Nine Inch Nails)

Soundtracks you'd like? I have most of the soundtracks that I like and can't think of any I want.

If you could see one concert right now, who would it be? I have the feeling I'm getting to old and curmudgeonly for concerts. I see Depeche Mode every time they come to town but I no longer enjoy standing up throughout the concert or the hard seats, crowds, lines, etc. So I'd really rather not see a concert.

    9/10/10
Would you like a bag of dried Honeycrisp apples? I'll have plenty, thanks! (tee hee!)

If you were to receive a knitted item (such as a scarf, hat, etc), what colors would you like? And do you have any sensitivies/allergies to any materials? Blurple! Black! Grey! Stripey! I'm allergic to acrylic (ok, not REALLY, but.. eew.) My favorite yarn right now is MCN (merino cashmere nylon) and I live merino/silk combos too.

Gift Certificate: physical or email? email is awesome. I'm all about the instant gratification.

Favorite Yankee Candles? Or other brands scents? I love the Witch's Brew patchouli seasonal yankee candle scent. I have some Yankee Candle things in my Amazon Wishlist under the bath and beauty area.

would you like a zuni animal fetish? And if so, what animal? Raven, Coyote, Deer, Bear are the ones I probably need the most, meaning wise.

And how does everyone feel about glow in the dark radishes? no thank you.

What places to do you visit that you'd like a gift card to? Starbucks, Target, Wal-Mart, B&N, a favorite restaurant or clothing shop? Starbucks, Amazon (I have Prime), M*A*C cosmetics, The Loopy Ewe (yarnz!), Soap Box Company, Scent Addict, Villainess, Haus of Gloi...

Cake or Frosting? I am so boring, I know, but it really depends on the cake and frosting. I like really moist, rich cake with buttercream frosting. And I try to have a good proportion of each in every bite.

    9/9/10
What movie scared the bejeezus out of you as a child? Night Wing. Kind of funny since I like bats and vampires. I think Jaws might have frightened me as well, but I actually wanted to LEAVE the theatre during Night Wing.

Name a couple of sites you frequent other than this one Ravelry, Echo Bazaar, Twitter, UniCreatures, Flickr, various blogs and shopping sites.

Do you like the Muppets? Which is your favorite? I'm not especially into the Muppets also I watched them millions of years ago when I was a kid. My fav were probably Animal, Beaker, and Swedish Chef.

If you could have any creature (real or imaginary) as a pet, what would it be? I'd love to have more ferrets (but I can't afford the vet bills, litter, etc. and don't have energy to clean litterboxes) and I'd like to have a horse again (a Friesian, Andalusian, or Warlander) but again -- not enough money or energy right now. Imaginary: a winged ferret, dog, horse, would be most awesome.

Comfort Rereads?: Harry Potter, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, Robin Hobb's Fitzchivalry books (starting with Assassin's Apprentice).

Will you be going out of town during the round, or is there any other time during the round when it would not be ideal for you to receive a package from your witch? I don't think we're going out of town during the round.

If you are in school now, what classes are you taking? Does anything you are currently studying really interest you? (if you are not in school, is there anything you are trying to learn?) I'm not currently in school but I'm considering going back for network engineer certification and maybe some other certs.

What animal would your daemon be? Alternately, your patronus. Favorites would be raven, ferret, pit bull, or friesian. I still love deer, bats, and dolphins too. But I haven't really read up on which would be good daemons. A friesian for my patronus would be fun.

What's YOUR favorite word? Mine? Probably depends on the day. Today:

Steampunk, yay or nay? If yay, what part appeals most? Yay, except for the sepia tones/copper/bronze/brown. Ick. Corsets, of course. And gears.

    9/8/10
Do you have a special symbol or totem that is meaningful to you? Lots. Ankh, Eye of Horus (or Wedjat), Ravens, Epona symbols, Celtic knots of all types but especially with dogs, horses, ravens, and ferrets.

Do you need a box for your bpal bottles? Your imps? Your something else to put in a box stuff? I could use another 9 drawer Fira box from Ikea but they are discontinued!!! I have extra ammo boxes for my imps so I don't need any more.

If you could be any person, being, or animal from Fantasy what or who would you be? That requires more thought and brain power than I have right now.

If you could go back to any point in time, where, when, why? That requires more thought and brain power than I have right now.

Favorite Halloween Candy/Treat? vanilla tootsie rolls and caramel apple pops. But one a year of the latter is enough, really. otherwise I snack on the mini-chocolate bars of all types (except mounds/almond joy, ick) but especially 100 grand, kit kat, twix, whatchamacallit. I look forward to the chocolate skulls from Vosges Haut Chocolat. Love kettle corn and look forward to going to the corn mazes and pumpkin patches in order to get some!!

What are your favorite baked goods/homemade treats? Brownies (with no nuts). Lasagna with lots of spicy italian sausage, dry cottage cheese instead of ricotta, tons of melted cheese... cookies (oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, snicker doodle, peanut butter, thumbprint, gingerbread, sugar, spritz... you name it!)

Would you be interested in an astrology birth chart? I have always been interested in having mine done but I don't know my birth time.

    9/7/10
Socks? Sock Dreams? Anyone? I have one pair of hand knitted socks and would love more!! Otherwise I usually wear basic black socks that are a little more on the thick side. I rarely wear thin socks as those don't go too wear with my unisex fluevogs/docs/converse. Would love stripey socks (ala GothSocks type yarn.) Can't wait to knit a pair of Merino Cashmere socks!

What is something you use to comfort yourself when feeling yucky, depressed, or in pain? Tea, scent, warm soft blankies, books, and my pups snuggled with me.

Favorite Halloween/Scary movies/books Anything Tim Burton. I like campy-horror films too.

What would the name of your custom blend be? The description? No idea. I have a really hard time coming up with good names and descriptions. See Aspergers Syndrome.

COMIC BOOKS. Do you read them? Are there any series you like, or some you would like to try? I would like the Sandman absolute books (on my wishlist on amazon!) I haven't read comics in forever and not sure that I have patience for the format anymore. Graphic novels I can get into sometimes.

Warm drinks? yes! I drink a lot of tea (mostly black tea with cream and sugar.) love mulled mead.

    9/6/10
When you go to an etsy wishlist, it will tell you what things are sold. If you click on the sold item, sometimes it will give options that are similar to what was sold, but not identical, would you like the similar item or prefer not to get it at all unless it's the same item? How picky are you? It really depends on the item. If I have pumpkin bread or salted caramels on my list and those are sold, I sure wouldn't mind getting pumpkin bread or caramels from some other seller! But if it's a particular piece of art, scent, jewelry, etc., then I'm more picky...

Do you wear make up? Yes. I used to wear Prescriptives but since they have gone out of business I switched to MAC. Waiting with baited breath for the Venomous Villains; I need most of the Maleficent line.

Disney movies, Yay or Nay, and favourites if you do like them? Yea for Disney movies! My favorite animated ones are Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin and... NMBC!!!! Loved Pirates of the Caribbean of course.

Do you have A VCR, DVD Player or Blue Ray or a combo of the three? We have a VCR/DVD combo but the VCR portion doesn't work so well. Hoping to get Blu-Ray but I think we need to upgrade our tv first.

Would you like custom icons as a gift? Not high on my list of wants but I wouldn't turn it down either.

    9/5/10
What is your favourite snack food, something you could grab any time? probably chips and mango/peach salsa with cream cheese.

Ebooks sure, but I'd prefer free ones or pdf format. I don't have an ipad or a kindle yet, but I do download free kindle books and read them on my iphone or computer.

Nail Polish: I'm not hugely into nail polish. I'm waiting for the BPTP purple to come out and have Smokestack and Blood Countess. I have some nice OPI polish but I mostly wear it on the toes. I *rarely* wear polish on my fingernails.

Soft/plushy things: I have some soft plushy cthulhu things on my wishlist...

What hobby/craft would you like to learn how to do? Needlefelting and spinning. I have supplies for needlefelting.

For those who decorate for Halloween, do you prefer cute decorations or creepy ones?: Creepy cute.

Also, as part of the cute-or-creepy question, would you want hand made, molded, glazed (by yours truly!) ceramic decorations (napkin rings, potporri/tart warmers, etc) to add to your stock? I have enough candle powered tart warmers. I don't need any napkin rings. I love handmade items and beautiful glazed things. Gargoyles especially. Ravens are good. Maybe a functional bowl?

how do you feel about mortars and pestles I have a marble mortar/pestle packed up somewhere!

Is there anything you have a phobia of, or that would make you go "squick" if you saw it in a package? I don't have any real phobias I guess. I wouldn't appreciate it if people sent me feces, urine, bugs, etc.

    9/4/10
Are you into Austen's books? Nope, haven't ever read any. I did recently download a few free Austen books in the kindle format for my iphone but they're pretty far down on the list. I have seen some of the movies based on the books.

Do you read Tarot cards? If not, would you be interested? No, I don't read Tarot Cards. I'm too autistic to do things like that! I love some of the artwork though.

So for those of you who are into Harry Potter at all, which house do you think you'd be sorted into? Gryffindor or Ravenclaw.

What, if anything, is your guilty TV watching pleasure? True Blood is the only show that I watch regularly (and Hung, simply because it's on right before or after.) I did watch Breaking Bad because someone gave it to me on a thumb drive. Otherwise I usually watch movies or Netflix streaming through my wii. Since getting Netflix streaming, I've watched all seven seasons of Buffy, re-watched Firefly, watched five seasons of Lost (six isn't streaming yet), all of Sanctuary that was available (two seasons?), and now I'm watching Angel. Occasionally I watch Legend of the Seeker (not really certain what time/channel it's on so that is hit or miss.) Oh, I watched all of The Riches on hulu.

If you cosplay or need a costume for your bellydance/burlesque hobby (or any other hobby which needs dressup/different from your normal wear), is there anything you need/want for it? Don't really dress up anymore (man, I'm getting OLD) except for fetish gear and halloween. Can't think of anything I want/need that isn't on one of my wishlists.

Celebrity crush?: I love Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge but not so much otherwise. My boy is a celebrity of sorts (local, small fanbase) - does that count?? oh! I've had a crush on Martin Gore forever (member of depeche mode. Love his voice.)

    Knitted things?: YES PLEASE

What about [mixed or otherwise] DVDs? sure

DVDs: Do you prefer widescreen or formatted? widescreen

Music: Any preference towards MP3 or CD? both are fine. I listen to cds in my car and my ipod in the house (and in the car if I remember to bring it.)

Do you like scented tarts? yes! I really would like an electric tart burner, though.

Lip balms? I'm pretty picky about my lip balm. For instance I do NOT like balm to be too "slick" and therefore I can not stand the balm from "my lip stuff". I have some lip balm on my amazon wishlist under Bath, Body, & Fragrance. I do make my own lip balm but I'm out of tubes.

Do you have any body mods? If so, do you need any new jewelry, o-rings, plugs, etc (and if so, what size, length, etc)? Do you like pro-body mod stickers? I do need new body jewelry. It's on my amazon wishlist under wearables. Gauge and size info as well as color/type of beads is in the comments on the wishlist.

Booze. Do you drink it, would you like some I do drink booze! I like sweet mead, ice wine, vanilla vodka or rum, malibu rum, goldschlager, butterscotch schnapps, baileys, starbucks cream liquor, etc.

What is your favorite artist or art style? (including if you have links to favorite pictures/paintings/photographs) That requires more thought and brain power than I have right now.

    9/03/10
Hallowe'en plans? We usually dress in fetish gear of some sort combined with a halloween costume and hit the clubs. The boyfriend usually wins the costume contests and I must endure having our photo taken 5,000 times.

Mix CDs? Usually I say NO but scarletgenesis made me some pretty cool mix cds. I'm pretty picky about my music.

Girlyness level? I answered this in the thread, I'll have to find it.

    9/2/10:
Gifts for other household members / pets? It's now just the boyflame, three canines, and myself. The boyfriend would probably love baked goods (he nommed down MotherKat's chocolate chip cookies from a PIF in record time) but the canines have a special diet in which they do not get any grains and I prefer to only do beef and fish proteins. So the safest thing anyone could get them, food wise, is probably just freeze dried beef liver or lung. But they love their planet dog orbee balls! I have toys and stuff for the dogs on one of my amazon wish lists and I love people who spoil my babies.

Home made goods? yes please! I don't like nuts or crunchy things in my caramels/fudge/cookies/brownies but I do like flavored nuts on their own. (It's a texture thing.) My aunt in Texas used to always send us huge bags of pecans in different flavors -- cinnamon sugar or whatnot. om nom nom! Love pumpkin seeds too! and salted caramels!!

Are you someone who'd rather have lots of small testers of different things on your wishlist, or would you rather have one or two "big" things? I'm not sure that I even necessarily need bpalz, but I'm ok with whatever my Witchee wants to do. My tester list is pretty small and is going to get smaller because we now have a BPAL retail location here in Seattle where I can go sniff and test things. Note to self: go edit wishlist.

    Names on other sites:
If you add me, tell me who you are or I'll probably block you. I don't like "Twilight" fans adding me willy nilly. IT WAS MY NAME FIRST.
twitter: mstwilighteyes (and sorrow_spider for those of you playing echo bazaar.)
    livejournal: miss_twilight
    ravelry: misstwilight
    unicreatures: miss_twilight

would you like to receive Groupons or similar deals/gift certificates from your Witch? Er, no idea what those are. I am going to be a party pooper and say no.

How about tshirt/bottoms sizes? Wasn't this covered in the SW questionnaire? I don't like t-shirts unless they are sleep shirts. I do wear babydolls (XXL) and camis (also XXL). I can't imagine that anyone would be purchasing bottoms for me!
  2. twilighteyes
Notes: I have Asperger's Syndrome, major depression and anxiety, and especially social anxiety. So sometimes I disappear for a while to sleep and avoid computers and people. I try to stay out of forums when I am depressed so I don't whine.

Will you be participating NaNoWriMo? If so, is there anything you'd like to have for that? No

What is one item that you've wanted forever, could have afforded, but have never gotten and why (haven't you gotten it!)? "New Rock" boots... because there isn't any place local to try them on and their store in Las Vegas was closed the one time I went there. I could order them from Fashion Nation in Denver and have them shipped to me, try them on, ship back if they don't fit, etc. but that is so much work!! My boyfriend went that route so I just eye his enviously.

What Halloween scent are you most looking forward to? fearful pleasure

Tattoos! Do you have em? Do you want em? Whatcha got or getting? I have a gargoyle on my right calf. would like more -- an ankh somewhere, maybe one of my dogs (or both), alice in wonderland playing croquet with a flamingo and hedgehog, friesian, bats, ravens, friesians, more gargoyles..

Right now I am growing what was given to me free by my friend who teaches horticulture at a high school: mint, thyme, basil, tomatoes, peppers, catnip, ivy, butterfly bush, oregano, alyssum, geraniums, lavender, lilacs, etc. When I had my own house I had over 60 varities of roses, 11 of lavender, and tons of herbs and highly scented flowers. I like useful, edible, or scented plants. Ornamental, not so much. I always harvested and dried herbs, rose petals, etc. to use in my soap or for making scented pillows or other items.

What incense scents do you prefer? I used to burn all kinds of resin and stick incense but my boyfriend is allergic to just about everything so I no longer burn any. *weep*

Do you decorate for Halloween? What sort of decorations? Dress up for Halloween? I do try to decorate for Halloween -- I have mostly candle holders (black cat tealight holder, some tealight haunted houses and trees, spider web shades for tealight lamps, etc.) We always carve pumpkins. I like to get corn stalks, bales of straw, and do scarecrows in the yard if we are motivated. We have a coffin (real) that we put out in the front yard with an arm or something hanging out. Yes, we usually dress up and of course have to go out to the goth and fetish halloween nights.

What about stationery? Need some? What styles do you like? Not really, unless it's for rubber stamping.

Crossword puzzles? Other pencil puzzles? I am good at them, but do not like to do them much. I play games on the computer, not with a pencil.

Favorite artist? Local. and hard for me to pin point. Most of the art I own is made by friends. I did enjoy the Van Gogh exhibit at the Smithsonian.

Favorite poet? Again, most of the poetry I own was written specifically for me or collections by people I know.

Halloween. Do you like it kooky or creepy? Both!! Creepy moreso I guess.

Reserved or Raunchy? I am totally both -- but it depends who I'm with. If I don't know (or like) people, I'm pretty reserved.

Earth, Wind, Fire or Water? Earth, then Water.

Tea or Coffee in the morning? Tea at home, coffee at work.

Fruity snacks or chocolate? chocolate covered fruit, especially apricots and raisins!!! or frozen chocolate covered bananas.. or chocolate dipped strawberries... or just chocolate. except honey crisp apples, which are to die for.

What was your favorite ghost/scary/campfire story growing up? Don't think we had these. I went to a bible camp that sang non-scary songs around the campfire. And my parents didn't tell scary stories when we went camping (with a camper or to a cabin.) I feel so deprived.

Bugs? Do you like 'em or not? ick! bugs! they have their place -- outside.

i haz no imp storage. do you? I use ammo cases.

What would you tell yourself 6 months in the past about 2008 so far? Quit making the same mistakes over and over. And buy more Mead Moon, dang it.

If you had one minute of fame, what would you do/say in the spotlight? btdt a few times (usually with my horse). I prefer not to be in the spotlight. depends on the issue -- nowadays I'd probably defend pit bulls or something.

Robots versus zombies: who wins? Robots.

    What would zombie say? unnnhhh

Where are a few of your favorite places? Book stores, tea and coffee shops, chocolate shops, stonehenge, barns, feed stores, dog supply stores, snoqualmie falls, woods with lakes or rivers, the pacific ocean, rain forest on the olympic peninsula (see woods with lakes or rivers), leavenworth... I really like everywhere we went in Italy and Spain and would love to go back. And I really want to visit Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, etc.

Out of curiosity, all the fall babies who are celebrating their birthdays during the round - who are you, and when is your bday? Me me! September 12th.

What is one (only one) object that you collect, that totally goes against your personality or beliefs? Depression glass (and neodymium glass in general) doesn't really fit my personality but I collect it!! Tiffin Twilight, Heisey Alexandrite, Duncan Dawn, Canterbury Heatherbloom, Fosteria Wistera, etc.

Are you a soap addict? Anything you like to avoid in soaps (goat's milk, lye, dyes, etc...) or any particular scents you like or brands you want to try? Yes... but I have so much soap because I make my own. I prefer non-detergent soaps (ie, cold process hand made). Goat milk is good. Shea butter and cocoa butter are good. Olive oil based are good (but preferably milled two or three times or they are really really soft.)

Do you like kilts and would you wear one? Yes! I'm right by Utili-kilts! But I've never bought one for some reason. I would totally cross dress in a ulti-kilt.

What's your favorite book? I can't choose ONE... Harry Potter series or the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin.

What size socks do you wear? How about hat size? size 10? that is my shoe size. I don't wear hats anymore. Unless I'm in a horse show or wearing a knitted hat. Or I have some tweed "newsboy" sort of hats that I wear if my hair looks like crap and I'm in a hurry.

Do you read comics? Which ones do you love and which can't you stand? No, but I do read graphic novels. Sandman! Watchmen! I have a set of "Amethyst" that someone gave me, because my domain name for a long time (until I caved and sold it) was amethyst.com.

Symbols that are meaningful to me? To you or to me? To me: Ankh, wadjet (eye of horus), celtic knots (raven, epona, ferrets, dogs), claddagh...

By nature are you a morning lark or a night owl? night owl

What's your favorite type of music to hear live, rather than recorded? acoustic

What is your favorite autumnal-seasonal drink? mulled / spiced wine & mead, caramel apple cider

Do you knit/crochet? Do you need any supplies? Yes, more knitting than crocheting. Always.

What are your two favorite etsy shops? Let's say strangeling and meinoel (one of my friends) although I have quite a few "favorite sellers" on my list.

Are you active on any other boards/forums? If so please specify where and your username there. Yes. My user names are almost ALWAYS Twilight, Miss Twilight, or Twilight Eyes. I've been using that name since 1986. (Been online since 1984.) LJ - miss_twilight, ravelry - misstwilight, etsy - misstwilight, facebook - shari walker, myspace - shari walker (miss twilight screen name), *added* miss_twilight on librarything. Added my THINK GEEK wishlist too.

What is everyone's favorite Halloween song?! This is Halloween (NMBC)

How many of mah fellow witchies play video games? Platform? Do you like used games? Me! WII, XBOX 360, PC. Used games, yes! I like racing games and fantasy -- Zelda. I play Ultima Online. I still love DOS games (infocoms, nethack, etc.)

What kind of music (genres, please) do you like? Darkwave, industrial, gothic.

Have any of you ever received a book from a Witchy and loved it so much you ended up buying a copy for a later Witchee? mah first time.

What kinds of eye shadows do we all like? shimmery or sparkly! matte is boring. urban decay, mac, smashbox, bare minerals. anything with good lasting power that doesn't irritate my contacts.

Do you like lip balm? If so, do you like tinted, glossy, sparkly, pearly or just plain lip balm? Yes, I am addicted to lip balm. I prefer plain because I haven't found any sparkly or pearly lip gloss type things that doesn't get gummy or nasty -- or make my lips chapped. My favorites right now are the Burt's Bees honey and the clove. If I could FIND THEM FOR SALE locally, I'd get the Ayurvedic Lip Balm by Better Botanicals in Rose-Mint or Cardamom.

What are some of the SW gifts/finds from past rounds (or you can just name a gift in general that you found for someone if this is your first round!) that you are the most proud of in terms of your sleuthing skills? mah first time

And, secondly, what is something you've been searching for but just can't find? a type of green chili (in a jar) that we used to buy in Texas. I'll have to go home and grab the jar to get the brand name. They were sooo good on hot dogs and hamburgers.

Who here is a complete, over the top, Alice In Wonderland fanatic? Does me wanting to get a tattoo with Alice make me a fanatic? I have some cool AiW computer games too -- I should dig out my boxes from the shed and see if I can find them.

Are you a Trekkie? If so, which series do you prefer? Do you have a favorite character? Ugh, I loathe and detest Star Trek. Probably because my dad and brother forced me to watch it in the 70's and I was quite the sullen child when bombarded with things that I don't enjoy (yay Aspergers!)

Do you have phobias? Not especially... unless it involves things crawling on me. If I'm, for example, in a moving car and a spider leaps on me, I'll freak because I can't get away. If I can just brush it off me or move away from it, it's fine. But enclosed space with things crawling on me? No thank you.

How do you like your mix CDs? Random? Stuff you know you'll like? Stuff I know I'll like genre wise.

Would you rather get food or jewellery? I rarely wear jewelry so I would guess food. Unless it's a super cool anklet or bracelet or something.

Do you like children's toys, such as jacks, those little things you tilt around to get the ball in the right hold (wtf are those called?), the aforementioned caplet dinosaurs, cap guns, etc?: I shop at Archie McPhee. I have all the kiddie toys I could use and more.

English candy/tea/marmite or other stuff that you love and can't easily get outside of England? Some chocolate (we usually order it from England via web site, see chocolate thread) and I really used to love Cadbury's chocolate but the stuff here in the states is NASTY. My favorite - Flake and Fruit & Nut. And Carmello.

Fanfic as a gift* - yay or nay? Your fandom? Slash preferences?*well, a virtual gift obviously. You know what I mean. Sure! Harry Potter, Song of Ice and Fire. Slash preferences? Um, not a huge slash reader but have read some for amusement. Not sure of question.

Any beaders here? Need beading supplies? Negatory.

Do you like making up your SW packages around a theme, or prefer to mix it all up? No idea, mah first time.

Band-aids: do you like the fun and funky ones? Yes! As noted above, I shop at Archie McPhee so I get pirates, devil ducks, black cat, unicorns, etc. Yay! I almost wish I got cut more so I could wear them.

What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? Being almost run over by car full of people, then threatened with a switch blade by a pregnant girl, yelled and screamed at by said group of people, and then backhanded by big guy -- in broad daylight at Green Lake park in Seattle. They wanted my parking place but I wasn't leaving yet -- just letting my car cool off with the doors open. Let's just say that they all went to jail. And then they kept saying it was my fault because I was obviously racist and they shouldn't have come to a "white" area. *boggle* OH. Yeah. And I used to work for a bank. When I was at a branch installing some software for the manager, they were robbed. That was scary. Especially since the gun went off and someone fell to the floor - everyone thought they were shot. The guy was trying to zip the bag of money closed with the gun in his hand when the gun went off. After that he ran out the back door with money flying everywhere behind him. And then we were interviewed for hours and hours by the FBI. Good times.

How do people feel about receiving baked goods/kits to make said goods? Or other cooking items? I love baked goods but I don't eat splenda or other artificial sweeteners. I prefer organic when possible. And hopefully everyone uses sanitary cooking practices!!

Would you enjoy oil or vinegar flavored with herbs grown at home? Strange and exotic spices with recipes to try? Cookies made with carnation petals? It would depends on how the carnations were grown -- no pesticides!! But yeah, I love exotic spices and cool recipes. Oil and vinegar flavored with herbs is fun.

What are your pet's names, and what are they named for? Jake Blues should be obvious -- he just needs a brother named Elwood. Lela was already named when I adopted her and she knew her name, so no changing it. Howie was dropped off by the local ACO at the boyfriend's house and he howled for three days straight (and then lost his voice), so was dubbed How(l)ie.

How do you scent yourself? Do you layer soaps, moisturizers, etc. or do you go straight to slathering your bod with BPAL? I use aveda shampoo usually, which is all scented with essential oils in a blend ("pure-fume") - the blend depends on what shampoo you're using, or you can personalize one. Then I use scented shower gels (usually Lush) but I haven't noticed that they actually stay on my skin -- I can never smell them after I get out of the shower. I usually use a Lush powder (silky underwear or candy floss) OR a BPAL bath oil after the shower, depending on how I feel. Then depending on what I put on (oil or powder), I pick some scent to wear on my wrists and inside elbows. Sometimes neck. And I usually wear honey or vanilla scented hand lotion.. sometimes coconut.

Do you/how do you scent your world? Candles, incense, diffusers, potpourri? None of the above? I use candles, essential or perfume oil in my ultrasonic fountain, essential or perfume oil mixed with water on a burner (is this a diffuser?), sachets in drawers with clothes, bpal room and linen sprays, etc. I used to use incense but my boyfriend is allergic to smokey things.

BPAL is such a scent-ual experience. What are your other tactile, aural, or olfactory pleasures (I was going to say, "And let's keep it clean", but what's the use fun in that?!?) I like to curl up with soft fuzzy blankets/slippers, so I like my house and room to be somewhat on the cool side. Love to have my shoulders and neck massaged but only if using the right kind of oil, otherwise my skin chafes easily. Hmmm aural... most sounds bug me except white noise, unless I am listening to them purposely (like music I like or watching a movie.) If someone else is listening to music or watching a movie and I can't get away from it, I get very very angry and tense. Part of my asperger's syndrome I think. And I am very very scent oriented, so I almost always have to be scented or have a candle burning or my fountain on. But nasty scents make me throw up very easily. I love fresh cold air when you can smell snow or wood smoke, warm nights when the honey suckle or jasmine is drifting through the air...

If you drink coffee (and make it yourself) do you use a French Press, regular filter basket coffee maker, Espresso Machine, Percolator? I use a french press or a "Toddy" cold brew system. Unless I'm at work, in which case I use the espresso machine. Someday if I have a larger kitchen I'll get another espresso machine for home -- my previous boyfriend took mine when we parted ways.

What movie soundtracks (or scores) do you love? NMBC!!!! Tank Girl, Some Kind of Wonderful, V for Vendetta, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, almost anything by Danny Elfman, Wedding Singer, Hackers... that is all I can think of without looking at my mp3 files. (I thought of another one -- Pan's Labyrinth!)

what kind of indulgences do you really really want, but can't seem to make yourself buy? Maybe out of character, or a part of yourself you're busy denying? HALLOWEEN (and other holiday) DECORATIONS!! artwork, jewelry, rose bushes, herbs, a bicycle, a motorcycle, a smart car, new clothes & accessories, a new computer, wii fit, rock band, gargoyles, cd's, dvd's, un-necessary makeup, etc. I pretty much only buy dog food, dog treats, dog toys, BPAL, gas, food, and pay bills. And decant supplies, shipping supplies, etc.

My questionnaire is chock-a-block with ideas for Witching me on the cheap, and without sending "stuff for stuff's sake". And I just came up with another one--make me a Pandora, Finetune, or Last.fm station you think I might like! What manner of affordable Witchery might you covet? I have no idea what Pandora, Finetune or Last.fm are. If I'm going to listen to music online, I usually either remote into my home computer and listen from there or I listen to one of my friend's radio stations (www.d23radio.com or the like.) I have a hard time being enabled with new music.
Affordable witchery -- I like all sorts of hand made things, notes, post cards, e-mail, links, whatever. I'm easy.

Does your cell phone have a place to attach charms? No, I have an iPhone.

What is your favorite art movement and/or style? ie impressionist, surrealist, art nouveau, etc. not really into art enough to know the different movements or styles off the top of my head.

Do you have a case for your mp3 player/digital camera? If you would want one, what size is your digital device? yes, I have cases.

For tea drinkers, do you bag it or prefer loose I like both! I prefer bags for ease of clean up but fresh loose tea in an air tight container is less likely to be stale.

Does the weather change where you are, as in, does it get cold in the winter? Anyone need homegrown scarves, hats, mittens, etc? I'm a knitter and know way way too many knitters who are always giving me things, so I'm quite covered (literally) with scarves, hats, mittens, etc. The only thing I really want that no one has made me yet is a Kitty hat. (knitted hat with kitty ears.)

Who are your forum buddies? People you know well enough online or IRL to help your Witch pick out stuff for you? Pixiepetal on the forums (she is a very quiet lurker) lives with me and we've known each other since high school (so for over 20 years now, dang we're old.) She should have an inkling of what I like.

If you could bring back any TV show from cancellation what would it be? Don't watch TV. I would kill it all. Well, ok, maybe I would bring back Red Dwarf or Twin Peaks. I was unhappy with the Twin Peaks ending.

I wonder if my witchee would like a blanket type thing. Would you? Blanket type thing? I <heart> NMBC blankies. And any blanket that is soft and fuzzy.

What's your favorite "I know it's bad for me but I can't help myself" treat? Chocolate or sugar in general.

Very important question: Are you planning on buying anything off your BPAL and/or other wishlists during the round? I think I am planning on getting lunacies, halloweenies, and carnavals before they are gone.

Do you wear a watch? If so, what kind/style? No. I like time pieces that clip onto things but otherwise I have a computer or a phone, I don't really need a watch attached to me as well. Plus I'm allergic to all sorts of metal.

How do you feel about having a donation made in your name to something? If you like that idea, what types of organizations/groups would you want the donation to go to? Any animal organization (preferably a bully breed rescue) that is a NON KILL SHELTER (humane society is a kill shelter) and something not affiliated in any way with PETA (they want to exterminate pit bulls specificially and companion animals in general.) So something like BAD RAP or PBRC would be fantastic.

What's your favorite animal? mythical or?? Unicorns for mythical, and a toss up between horses (friesians)/ferrets/pit bulls/dolphins for non.

What one (or two, if you really must) BPAL bottles are you most longing for? Underpants, Pumpkin King

If you could have dinner/drinks/coffee with any 3 living people that are not your family/friends already, who would they be-? I'm pretty anti-social with high social anxiety. I would rather not be in a situation where food was involved with people I don't know, let alone half of the people I know. Drinks or coffee might be ok because alcohol might relax me a bit and coffee can be short and quick (think god for 2-4oz cups.) That being said... Neil Gaiman, Emma Thompson, Martin Gore.

If you have pets, is there a SPECIFIC toy they like to play with; brand and size? Is there a treat/cookie they eat? What brand and size? Jake and Lela both like Jolly Ball brand Romp & Roll balls, large size. (Ball with a rope through the middle.) Lela likes Planet Dog orbee balls (tennis ball sized.) For cookies, they eat Plato Smart Dog Treats in salmon or duck. For training I do Simon and Huey tiny training treats. I used to do garlic and honey but I don't think they make those anymore. They love their Bully Sticks (natural dried beef tendon, not really a "brand" associated with them.) My dogs can't have a lot of wheat, corn, grains, etc.

What's your ringtone? Precious by Depeche Mode

Just to throw a silly question out there...Munsters or Addams Family, y'all? Addams Family

What think you about receiving tea accessories and/or miscellany (like mugs, cups, saucers, strainers/filters, honey, natural sweeteners [like stevia])? I collect Starbucks City Mugs (20 oz) but otherwise have enough mugs, strainers, filters, etc. I can never have enough honey though -- I get it locally by the gallon. I think I have two gallons right now... but my boyfriend still buys me more when he has to drive across the state.

How do you feel about copies of music or dvd's that your witch might have that you might enjoy? Not just mixes, but whole copies? Archival copies are wonderful.

Say, witches, I have a question about birthdays. do you expect/rely on other people to plans birthday outings and activities? No, I'm the one who does all of the planning in my relationship it seems.

Tarts? Yes/no? I have a partylite aroma-melts burner. If that burns tarts too, sure.

I'm wondering if my witchee would like to try these types of things (like the caramel with sea salts or chocolates with chilis/bacon/salt etc.)? I have probably tried most of them! Fran's Sea Salt caramels are the best, imo. Boehm's does a good chili pepper/chocolate. Vosges for chili pepper hot cocoa and bacon/chocolate bars (in the shape of flying pigs even.)

How do y'all feel about honey and maple? And different flavored honey, not just the standard kind? Honey and... maple? Um. I like real honey and real maple. So I would guess it would be ok? I love all types of honey. Creamed honey goes wonderfully on sandwiches, although I prefer it not to be "flavored" (no espresso, strawberry, etc.) -- the different pollens are fine of course. I prefer darker honey, but not black. Black is good to cook with, but I have a huge container of it right now. My least favorites are probably clover or alfalfa, just because they are so common around here. Wormwood isn't bad.

What is your favorite thing to do on a cool fall day? Horseback riding or geocaching with the dogs and then curl up by the fire with a good book, some tea, and the snuggly dogs. (the latter is my favorite thing to do just about anytime. although sometimes it's the fan instead of a fire.)

Who likes pirates? My boyfriend's name is Roger. Back in the day (15 years ago?) he drove a monster truck called the Pirate Pete. Our boat is named "The Jolly Roger". Yes, we like pirates.

What are your feelings about Dia De Los Muertos? I'm from the Pac NW and haven't ever really celebrated it and I know next to nothing about it.

What do you think about the Nightmare Before Christmas? If you have read the rest of my questions you will know that I LOVE it.

Do you play a musical instrument? Does Guitar Hero count?! I have played the flute and the violin. And was in chorus for many years. I've always wanted to play the piano but never had lessons. I taught myself guitar a few years back but then the person who gave me the guitar wanted it back.

What do you think of Irrelevant Disturbing and Surreal Crawdad Dream? Love it? Hate it? Kicking yourself for not getting a bottle? It's ok, I neither love nor hate it. I bought two bottles and traded one away for some inquisition stuff.

If candy is sent, would you prefer small amounts to a Halloween sized bag? It depends on the candy! A whole bag of vanilla tootsie rolls? sure! A whole bag of hard candy mixture? meh.

Do you like notes in your soaps or bath stuff that you don't like in your perfumes? If so which? Hm, not that I can think of.

Do you like floral soaps or bath stuff? If so, what florals work and what don't? I really like rose soap and buttercream (but it has to be a good genuine rose - synthetic stuff not so much.) Flying fox works for me well too (jasmine, ylang, honey?), various lush bath bombs that I'm sure have florals but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Right now I have some triple milled french lavender soap out.

What's in your Netflix or Blockbuster queue, do you want any new Netflix/Blockbuster friends, if so how do we find you on there? I don't do either Netflix or Blockbuster. I don't have a lot of time to watch movies or tv... when I do rent one, they're only $1 / night at work or the grocery store. When I DID do Netflix and Blockbuster trials, they just didn't have enough movies on theirs lists that I found interesting (that I didn't already own.)

Would you enjoy art based on original Graveyard photography? HECK YEAH. (See Etsy favorites.)

What other perfume companies (besides bpal) have you been curious about? NOOOOOO no enabling!!! I get possets and cobalt blends frimps all the time in swaps and I pretty much pass them on immediately... I am AFRAID! AFRAID I TELL YOU. I did get an ebay lot with some CB, Possets, and Arcana (with a bunch of BPAL of course). I really like the Arcana one. And I'm kind of curious about "the girls love vanilla" (is that possets? I can't even remember because I run screaming -- I don't have any more veins!!)

Stance on Joss Whedon and his enterprises? I enjoyed Firefly. I watched it all in one (or two or three) sitting(s) from my friend's dvds. I think I missed a few episodes because of passing out. I may someday make a Jayne hat. I didn't watch any of his other shows.

Has anyone tried ice wine before? Do/did they enjoy it? I *love* Ice Wine and Tawny Port.

Does anyone here do anything with grave rubbings? The only time I've done grave rubbings have been for scavenger hunts. (Bruce & Brandon Lee and Jimi Hendrix are all close to me.)

Legwarmers? Armwarmers? I wear wrist warmers!

What makes everyone stand out from the Switch Witch herd? This is my first round, so I am not sure?

If you are into the original Nintendo system, what 3 games would you want that you don't have? I never had the original nintendo. I had the original atari 2600 (and the 400 and 800, which is when I started programming, before we got the 8088 pc.) Now I have a WII and an XBOX 360. And a Super Nintendo and SN64. I always want more Zelda games.

What is your favorite category of the GC? Neil Gaiman, Stardust.

How do you feel about Hello Kitty? I like the skeletal hello kitty look-a-like... I prefer gothy things really. Like Lenore the little dead girl. And Emily the Strange.

Do you like Mystery Science Theater 3000? Have you tried out (and if not, would you be interested in doing so) its weird little brother, RiffTrax? I watched MST3k every once in a while. Not a big TV fan. Not really interested in weird little brothers....

What will you like from Singapore? Candies? Food? Asian crafts/toys? Starbucks Bears!! From all over the world for that matter.

What is everyone's "luck" item? My dogs. Especially Jake. Too bad he isn't lucky for HIMSELF! (Torn CCL on both back legs, poor guy. Now he has metal plates and is BIONIC!)

Do you like art deco/nouveau - style prints? Um. I'm a comp sci major, not an art major. All this talk of styles is not within my personal dictionary.

What is one thing that, if you received it in the middle of all the hubbub, would make you smile and take your mind off of all you have to do for a bit? A smile from my boyfriend.

What would a perfume based on you small like? Vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood, lavender, and teeny bit of rose and clove.

Who here likes Wizard of Oz things? Not I. Although I would like to have the movie on dvd. I used to love it when I was a kid -- I am told tales of how I wanted to change my name to Dorothy. *shudder* I also enjoyed Wicked and Son of a Witch. I never did read all of the original W of O books but would like to someday. You can see from my library thing that I am collecting all of the children's books that my parents didn't have the money to purchase for me.

Do you often drink take away coffee in paper mugs? Actually, no. I make free espresso drinks (or french press, or toddy) at work, and I use my personal ceramic mugs. Sometimes I'll make a press or toddy at home but usually at home I just drink tea. I have lots of 16 & 20oz "to-go" travel mugs and one of the starbuck's grande sized ice drink travellers (clear, double walls, lid, straw) for days off. I also have seasonal mugs, both ceramic and travel. I'm about to get out of all of the halloween mugs.

Blood Moon update: I am ordering Blood Moon and I already ordered two each of the forum only scents. I'm ordering at least one each of the new MVJBA's for the Ravelry group.

How do you decide what to put in which package for your Witchee or how many packages to send? I am new -- so I am hoping to learn!!

If you were my witchee, would you be terribly offended if I sent you a box containing project "experiments" or random miscellaneous pretty bits of brainstorming that I thought you might like/wear? Offended?? Not at all!!!

How do you avoid popping an item for yourself into an order you're placing for your witchie? What??? Self restraint?? What is that??

Underpants? Do you like them? What's your style? Size? Um, Yes? But I don't think I would feel comfortable having people other than my boyfriend give me underwear.

What is your favorite? What tea would you love to try but haven't because of price or difficulty to get? One of my favorite teas is the Aveda tea. It's so spendy that I don't get it very often (I'm out right now.) My staple is just orange pekoe with honey.

    BPTP Room Sprays...your thoughts? YUM!

Would you like to receive baked goods from your Witch? And if so, are there things you WOULDN'T like? mmmmmmm baked goods!!! I don't like things with nuts in them.

How does everyone feel about really green gifties? I was thinking of giving my witchee some of my handy-dandy "paper" towels (hand-sized, washable muslin squares--kinda like ultra-cheapo cloth napkins) in a kitchen-friendly decorative box, but I didn't want to seem preachy ("Stop using paper towels, you environment destroyer!"). Would y'all use something like that? I'm one of *those* people that shops at co-ops and whole foods. So yes, I would probably use those. I also knit my own dish clothes and use those instead of paper towels.

What craft (or crafts) have you been wanting to try but have no idea where to start? I have all of the items to get started on paper making ... screens, clamps, trays, towels, food processor, herbs, scents, colors, books... but I've never gotten off my butt and actually DONE it. I also have almost everything to get started with Stained Glass (patterns, glass, cutter ... just need the soldering iron and a workshop!!)

Would you appreciate some tunes in future packages? And if so, do you care if you get any CDs or mp3s you might have all ready? Or would you be able to find a way to post a list of things you're (a) looking for, or ( b ) all ready have? I have over 500 gigs of mp3 files. *gulp* I used to work in the music business and have thousands of cds that I ripped. Most of my newer stuff is mp3 only though. So, I don't know - tunes, not so good. I am overloaded in tunes. What I *need* is to be able to hook my ipod to my car stereo.

Polish goodies! Who wants them? Baked goods, candies, kielbasa, pirogies, magazines, you name it? I've never had polish candies. I love kielbasa! Never had pirogies -- are they like piroshky? I love the local piroshky (salmon, om nom nom) and borsht.

About incense: do you like sticks or lose incense? Have you got one of those devices to burn lose incense over a bit of charcoal? I have tons of stick, cone, spiral, and loose incense, as well as a sand bowl and self activated charcoal to burn loose incense and resins on... but I don't ever burn incense anymore because I have slight asthma and my boyfriend is allergic to just about everything under the sun. And now that summer is over, I won't be hanging around outside burning it either. What I use now as my favorite is an ultrasonic fountain/mist maker with essential oils in the water. The boy isn't allergic to most high quality EO's if they are not floral. (and the picture is NOT the one I have, but it IS the one I want!)

What's everyone's favorite fairytale and what are your favorite versions of it? Ooh Ooh. I love retold fairy tales. It would be REALLY hard to pick out my favorites. I shouldn't even have to mention Neil Gaiman because I think everyone on here knows about him by now. Stephen Brust's "The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars" is a sort of retelling of a Hungarian traditional fairy story. "Juniper, Gentian, and Rosemary" by Pamela Dean is a retelling of a traditional Scottish ballad. Tam-Lin by Pamela Dean is excellent too, and of course "Snow White and Rose Red" by Patricia Wrede. One of the most haunting, I think, is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty called "Briar Rose" by Jane Yolen. Gregory Maguire's "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister" (Cinderella), "Mirror Mirror" (Snow White), "Wicked" (Wizard of Oz.. ok not a fairy tale but close). I love Robin McKinley's "Deerskin" (Donkeyskin), "Spindle's End" (Sleeping Beauty), "Rose Daughter" (Beauty and the Beast), "Beauty" (Beauty and the Beast)... and of course I have the erotic "Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" series by Anne Rice (writing as A. N. Roquelaure) as well as tons of others. Sadly most of my books are in storage so they don't show up on my LibraryThing. Let's just say that when my library was together, I had a few bookshelves dedicated to fairy tales and a few more to "The Matter of Britian" (Arthurian lore.) And then all of my Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and a small smattering of graphic novels (mostly Neil) as well as a teeny bit of "horror".

So how many imps/decants is officially 'you have gone overboard and your Witchee is going to expire from scent overload'? What? Overboard? Overload? Is that possible?

Who needs a recipe box? not me. I store recipes on the computer *or* on 8x10 in my binder with clear coated pages to slip the paper into to protect it from splashes and spills. (I is messy.) Or I use books. Not that I cook much right now since we moved into a MIL basement apartment with no counters in the kitchen and therefore hardly any working space to cook. I usually end up balancing things on the sink rim and they inevitably fall on the floor or into the sink and I curse and stomp up and down and give up. But the dogs are happy.

ANYONE ELSE want a home-made cookbook? I wouldn't say no! It would be kind of fun to have everyone submit their favorite recipes and do a BPAL or Switch Witch cookbook.

Favorite cartoons or animated films? NMBC (duh!), Ranma 1/2, James and the Giant Peach, Wallace and Gromit, Shrek, just about anything Pixar. The Tick! Earthworm Jim!

Your take on the election? In other words, would you enjoy campaign related gifts, or prefer to stay neutral? No politics or religion please.

Villians you sympathise with, or are interested in boinking? Mmm villians. I usually like female villains and am not really interested in boinking them or any other fictional characters (I guess I'm weird), but Alan Rickman is awesome in many roles, including Snape. I can sympathise with that character since I was always the outcast at school and spent all of my time with my horses instead of other people. Later figuring out that Aspergers exists helped some but it doesn't really make up for anything.

Your stance on the all important peanut butter issue: crunchy? creamy? allergic? chocolate? maple? go directly to nuttella, do not pass go? Creamy peanut butter, preferably roasted peanuts sweetened with honey. I go for the organic. I don't do corn syrup. I don't think I've had peanut butter with maple! I don't really like hazelnuts, so no nutella.

Who here likes to read historical fiction? If you do, what eras/people/countries intrigue you the most? I like Judith Tarr's historical fiction / fantasy. My fav is Arthurian though.

What sort of colors do you currently wear? Do you want to branch outside that? What would you like to try? I wear mostly black. I like wearing mostly black. Sometimes I wear white shirts. Sometimes I wear blue jeans. Sometimes I wear dark blue, dark purple, or pink. But mostly black.

Speaking of historical fiction, how does everyone feel about Sherlock Holmes? I've never actually read any. I have played a Sherlock Holmes infocom game....

Baked Goods? Yea Nay? Yes please!

If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? I really prefer my recipes online (allrecipes.com is my favorite) so I can change quantities, print them out, get them dirty, etc. Or view them on my ipad while I'm cooking! I'd love Meilin's e-books for crockpot recipes and garlic and other things!

Here's a question If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW (Not that any of you will make any bpal orders until SW is over, because you do NOT want to mess up any plans your witch might have!) What would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) I would probably order Lemon Scented Sticky Bat or some of the BPTP Courtesans. And Spanked. And anything that I haven't ordered yet, like the new LE bath oils and room spray.

Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounces sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? I'm pretty set on seasonings right now but maybe some really interesting ones would be fun? I always see all of the different colored/variety salts and speciality things but don't purchase them.

Do you like any particular kinds of green or back teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I usually prefer black tea. My favorite right now is an anise black tea that my friend sent me from Germany!! I'm sure it could be purchased in a larger size (mine is 2oz?) but I'm not sure where from. I usually buy my teas in smallish quantities from the yummy local tea stores.

Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Lately my fav snack foods are the fruit/nut mix from Costco. Except I pick out the walnuts because I really don't like them! But the dogs do. I also do a lot of cheese (cotswald, sage darby, or something else tasty in the snobby cheese section), crostini, and sliced sausagey things. Or chips and mango peach salsa. Or ... another thing the BF brought home -- Cadbury's Mini Eggs!! OM NOM NOM. And beef jerky. And the crunchy green beans from Trader Joes.

What level of nudity are you fine with on items? It depends on the item I guess! I have no room for artwork yet, but when I do I will probably be getting BDSM themed artwork for the bedroom. In which case nudity is perfect.

I know the ?aire asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? I fine with gently used items of almost everything. Underwear or socks? No thanks!

Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Everything. The more you have on your list, the more likely it is that I will have it!

Tim Tams? Yum! The black forest ones were spectacular and so were the toffee ones. The chocolate creme ones I'm iffy about. Caramel is good.

If someone were attending Disney on Ice (Toy Story 3) with a bunch of Girl Scouts, would you want a patch/souvenir? No thank you.

    E-goodies? Er?

Mix cd's? I still have about 6 mix cd's that I haven't listened to yet from other sources. I'm really picky about my music I guess.

Is there any "classic" literature (Hemingway, Dickens, Elliot, Bronte, Hugo, Wilde, etc.) that you would like to add to your collection? I downloaded about 500 onto my kindle application on my iphone/ipad. All freeeeeeeeeeee!

So how does everyone feel about receiving ebooks? I *would* actually like the Song of Ice and Fire and the Wheel of Time books. Because I read those over and over and over and over and my first edition copies are going to be destroyed.

candles and/or aroma melts: I don't actually use melts that much (I would like a melt warmer that you PLUG IN, rather than one that you put a tea light in) but I would never say no to more candles and melts.

Get your music player, what are the first 13 songs on Random?
(This is my LastFM channel since my ipod is at home.)
    Covenant - We want Revolution
    VNV Nation - Illusion
Dead Can Dance - The way an Eel Feel Eels
Dave Gahan - Kingdom (Digitalism remix)
Martin Gore - Never turn your back on Mother Earth
    XTC - Mayor of Simpleton
    Thomas Dolby - Radio Silence
The Cure - Close to Me
Apoptygma Berzerk - Love to Blame
    Depeche Mode - Strangelove
    Minerve - Clear
    Bruderschaft - Forever
    Anything Box - Carmen

Do you need another bpal box? If so what would your fantasy one look like? Sadly I could use a couple more. I have a couple nine drawer Ikea Fira and four tea boxes but I'm spilling out everywhere. My fantasy one is on my etsy wishlist! http://www.etsy.com/listing/46068735/mamas-little-secret
Would love another nine drawer Ikea fira but the last time I saw them on ebay they went for $60+ plus like $25 S&H. Ikea has discontinuned them for some odd reason.

Do you have any blogs you regularly read?
Anything that shows up on my google reader...

the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? probably sleep. I never seem to get enough sleep. oh wait, no budget? like I am rich? I would probably shop online at yarn stores, bpal, villainess, etc. and then go to europe. or do the shopping on the plane to europe.

Astrological charts and interpretation/ reports? would be cool except I don't know what time I was born.

Do you enjoy gardening? If so, what kind of stuff do you grow? Vegetables, flowers? Lavender, sage, rosemary, thyme (no, not the song!), mint, etc. Many varieties of all. Love edibles. Used to have about 75 different types of roses but had to move and leave them all behind. Where I'm living now doesn't have enough sunlight or soil that is well drained enough for herbs or roses. *sniffle* I love anything that is highly scented. Dianthus, chocolate cosmos... I love bonsai (I had a 30 year old bonsai wisteria but when it turned into a stick in the window - I kept it outside of course - my "then new puppy" Jake chewed it off. Would love to grow veggies, but again - water table is WAY too high and not enough sunlight.

Booze? Yay or Nay? what kinds? I prefer tawny port, ice wine, and sweet mead. vanilla rum or vodka. starbucks cream liquor. butterscotch schnapps. baileys. girly drinks.

Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? yes, but prefer silver/pewter over bronze/copper/gold. have a lot of steampunk inspired patterns to knit. have many steampunk items on my etsy wishlist. need goggles.

Favorite Artists - Jasmine Becket-Griffith's Notre Dame fairy/gargoyles. Omar Rayyan's "The Favorite", "Croquet", "Fluffy", and "The Faerie Child". (all on my etsy favorites!) I have some artwork (originals) from my friends, some prints from Van Gogh, Patrick Nagel, Gorey, and varied artists. I don't usually like EVERYTHING by one artist, it's more like one or a few piece wills speak to me and I'll want just those. Love artwork with ravens, bats, friesians, pit bulls, gargoyles, hippocampi, dark and gothy, celtic, etc. Would love some really nice BDSM pony artwork or large framed photo prints.

Do you like those little crocheted dolls? You know the ones! They have a Japanese name! GAH! If so, who needs to be emulated as one? Yes, I like Amigurumi. A Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) Amigurumi would be cute! I have the most darling pit bull one from dixiehellcat!! I have a ton of patterns for various amigurumi on my ravelry and Loopy Ewe wish lists.

Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? I love pirates the most. They should smell the best too, like the sea and sky, wood, leather... (I expect my pirates to bathe regularly and not drink too much rum.)

Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I have mostly shaved hair but I do wear a plastic toothy headband to keep my bangs out of my eyes at work and I have some barettes/clips on my etsy favs. I would love to have more dreadfalls -- need a big wide cloth headband and some goggles to go with them. I have some black and white yarn dreadfalls but they are really heavy and don't stay on well. colors? black, purple...

Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? I had five holes in my ears (two in the lobes on each side and one up at the top) but I took them all out except one in each lobe. They're probably healed by now - I might need to get them repierced. I'd kind of like to get my nipples done (again) but then I think about how they never would heal. Oh! And my tongue is pierced. I keep forgetting about it since I don't really notice it. I have all sorts of body piercing jewelry on my amazon wishlist. Otherwise I don't really like dangly earrings, I only wear studs and the types of things on my wishlist.

Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) I am really bored with plain chocolate. I like interesting flavors in mine. I LOVE the Vosges Naga bar and the Dolfin Hot Masala -- CURRY! Love the Dolfin green tea jasmine. Don't really enjoy chili in my chocolate so much. I do like fruit and nut bars, caramel, lavender, rose, etc. Would love to try the Vosges italian truffles with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil, etc. I'm pretty snobby about my chocolate except for the Cadbury's Mini Eggs for easter. OM NOM NOM.

For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I don't really wear a lot of tint or gloss, mostly just lip balm. Shimmer is ok! It's all about consistency for me... I don't like a balm to be sticky (gloss) or too slick. I do like the Lip Venom even though it's on the sticky glossy side. One of my favorite balms lately is Bunny Butt Apothocary (I get mine through the Soap Box Company.) I have been lusting over getting more from Better Botanicals for a while; they used to carry them at our local co-op but I can't find them anywhere (except online) now.

What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? I don't have just one! Ravens, bats, Friesians, pit bull type dogs, ferrets...

DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? Eventually I'll upgrade to Blu-Ray so I've started collecting them already.

    Copied CD's or DVD's? Arrrrrr!!

I'm going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, is there anything I can get you? *drools and makes grabby hands at NMBC items!! (Nightmare before Christmas!)*

Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) yes! no footies, plz. I would kind of like some sock garters for thigh highs since my bpal socks tend to slip down. Y'know, the kind that go around at the top of the sock, not a garter belt. I like stripey socks but I like my socks to be a little on the thick side since I wear a lot of converse, docs, and unisex fluevogs. I don't wear very many girly shoes so thin socks tend to get holes immediately. I also prefer natural fibers to acrylics (I don't mind having a little nylon for stretch, but I prefer socks to be 70-80% natural fiber.)

Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? I prefer quality over quantity (especially for things like candles, chocolates, yarn, etc.) but I believe you can find a lot of small reasonably priced things that are high quality. So I'll leave it up to my Witch! I'm hoping to do a lot of smaller yet high quality things for my Witchee because I think it's fun to get lots of little packages. But you know, it's also (for me at least) about the contact and knowing someone is getting to know you and paying attention to you. What? Attention hoar?? Sometimes I don't feel chatty back but I like being poked, even if it's just saying hi. Postcards and e-mail don't cost that much!

Do you like pirate-related things? But of course! I love going to Archie McPhee and getting a ton of pirate-y things. I have the lunch box, apron, bath curtain, bath mat, garbage can, pirate devil duckies, mints, air fresheners, etc.

Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! Also, any other companies people like or love? Villainess, maybe? Or Lush? What flavors??? I will admit that I would like to try the Snake Oil soap, as well as the one I can't pronounce.. Otherwise my soap coffers, as it were, are overflowing with bar soap. I make bar soap myself so I usually have a good supply on hand. (HA HA) I'm even totally good on shower gel. I would, however, love to have more scrubs, both oily sugar/salt and cleansing ones, like smacks. I love the Arcana scrubs, Villainess scrubs and smacks, Paintbox Soapworks Sorbettos (I have quite a few on my etsy list!), etc.

What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? I was always the science geek, not the art geek. So sorry, I am not into periods and don't have any interest in knowing art by period or genre or whatever. I know what I like when I see it and I like a LARGE variety of things. But I'm pretty consistent with my likes and I think I've already stated them enough times and given examples of some pieces I like, pointed people to my etsy favs, etc. I tend to like things with hues of silver, grey, black, blue, purple, dark green, dark red/wine/burgundy, bluish pinks, etc. I am not a fan of *anything* that is mostly copper/bronze/gold/yellow/orange/brown or pastels. This goes for jewelry, clothes, yarn, art, cars, mugs, boxes, tapestries, etc. -- really it's pretty universal.

Would you like caffeinated lollipops? No thanks! I actually mostly stopped drinking coffee and only do a couple of mugs of tea a day. I don't really want to jack up my caffiene levels.

Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? No idea what those are. But if you think I'll like them, sure.

Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? I use a lot of "lap pillows" to rest my ipad/books/laptop/whatever on, and I usually have a pillow between my knees when I'm curled up on the couch. Plus the dogs and boyfriend are always stealing my pillows. So... large to cover the lap and firm to hold up things. Black, purple, silver are the ones that interest me most. It might be easier to look at what kind of pillows are available at places like Michaels or Joanns and then send a pillow case to fit such a beast, though. I don't think the pillows themselves are usually very expensive. I have pillows with Ravens and such on my etsy wish list.

purses? bags? What style/colors? I really like Namaste knitting bags in Eggplant or Black. But they're pretty spendy.

Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? No thanks, I'm a knitter, my friends are knitters, my family has knitters. Some have looms and do woven scarves. So I get a LOT of hand knit and hand woven scarves as gifts and I have a TON. Plus I'm more into shawlettes (smaller shawlettes worn as scarves) right now and I'm super picky about my yarn (yes, I am a yarn snob.) I guess this is a push button topic for me because people just don't get it and I keep getting store bought mass produced scarves (not hand made) as gifts. While I appreciate that someone thought of me and wanted to get me a gift, this is not it. Please! (The only exception would be really nice silk scarves that someone hand dyed for me or the HUGE scarves/stoles that are mostly black with purple, blue, or red celtic knot motifs that people sell at Renn faires or farmer's markets.) Of course if you really wanted to send me a hand knitted or hand woven scarf, those I would gladly accept. But I could probably use hand knitted socks or wrist warmers more. Anything hand made or dyed is accepted with glee.

Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? If you love them and you think I would love them, I am open to trying whatever! With the exception of natural deoderant, that stuff never works for me.

Do you like poetry? I'm picky.

What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? The boyflame hates foody scents and cinnamon type scents (I weep!) but plain vanilla seems to be ok. Even though I have a ton of the BPTP room sprays I don't use them a lot except on pillows and clothes; I don't want my dogs to have to smell them all the time and hurt their noses.

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I'd love the Sandman collections in hardback... but those are way over the price range. And probably don't count as comics at that point. See below. Delerium is one of my favorite characters.

Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these?

What kind of geeky things do I do? I play computer games... I've been playing Ultima Online for 11 years+ now? I love old dos computer games (infocoms, sierra, the ultima series, etc.) I downloaded monkey island 1&2 on my ipad and finished the first one while my boyfriend was away for the weekend. I knit! That seems less geeky and more mainstream these days though. I still call BBSes (well, now we telnet to them!) I haven't scripted for a while but I *can*. I would like to get more into camera geekery (my dad is the hugest camera geek on the planet and is always giving me his cast offs but I don't know much about them and haven't really taken the time to learn.) I organize all of my books, cds, perfume, etc. and document it all on spreadsheets, scentbase, librarything, etc. Did I mention that I'm Aspergers? I think that is probably the definition of geek. I used to go to all of the Sci Fi conventions but that dropped off because I moved away to Texas, then Colorado, and just kind of got out of the habit. Plus getting older = less energy & more responsibilities. sigh.

I don't read comics anymore.. I did read a lot of them growing up. I love graphic novels though. I think I don't like reading comics because they are too short and my attention span is much much much longer. Same reason I don't like to watch TV (except on dvd/netflix/on demand) - I don't like being interupted with commercials.

I'm not "obsessed" with anything geeky (am I??), for TV right now we are watching Dexter (streaming on netflix, again for me on S1/S2, first time for the boyflame), just finished watching all of Lost on Netflix streaming. Started to watch Dead Like Me but the bf didn't like it. I have all of Twin Peaks on dvd and most of Red Dwarf (up to S5?) and have been watching Red Dwarf streaming from Netflix at work since the BF doesn't like british humor (WTF?) When True Blood comes back on I'll have to watch that every time a new episode is out. oh!! And I'm very excited about A Game of Thrones coming to HBO next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love those books. I want a Game of Thrones "Winter is Coming" girly babydoll with the raven!! I saw some on the HBO Store website.

I have worked in a geeky field as tech support or unix system admin since 1991 or so.

I used to play RPG's... D&D starting in 4th grade (that was before it was AD&D ), Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, Paranoia, Paladium, etc. I met people when I lived in Toronto because I (1) called bbses and (2) played RPGs. Being a hot girl didn't hurt!! Some of my characters are used as NPC's in some Cyberpunk games and many of my Torontonian friends are listed as test players in the GURPS cyberpunk (I was as sick as a dog for many months and couldn't test with them.) Played Vampire: The Masquerade when it first came out and was part of the Seattle Camarilla originally but that didn't last too long because I couldn't stand most of the other people. I gave all of my game manuals to my son who is in college now and running many campaigns. He has tried a few of his campaigns out on me and Pixiepetal (my friend Lisa, she has an account here on bpal.org but doesn't read or post much.)

I do love geeky toys, I have a talking Tick doll, many Sandman & NMBC dolls & figurines, etc. I just don't have a lot of ROOM for things like that right now, so most of them are packed up in storage.

Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Everything of course. I'll know more after Will Call tonight.

If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? No, I wouldn't be creeped out. I'm usually one of the local minions delivering things!! However I do have a lot of depression and anxiety, so I'm not always "up" for going out and being social.

Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? I could use another Swissgold Tea Filter. Anything I want is under my "Cooking" wishlist on Amazon. Ninja cookie cutters.. Skull & Crossbone egg/pancake mold... skeleton hand condiment set.. bone spreaders.. skull cupcake pans.. all edges brownie & lasagna pans.. ingenuiTEA tea maker, electric kettle, just to name a few. I can always use measuring cups and spoons.

Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? Silk and velvet are definitely favorites. Really high thread count cotton for pillow cases. It depends on the item?? However, if it were yarn-y, my favorite would be MCN (merino cashmere nylon) for non-socks, and merino with a little nylon for socks. or Merino-silk blends. Or heck, merino silk cashmere blends.

Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? That would be super sweet! When I was younger the "best friend" matching rings/necklaces/whatever always intrigued me but I was a loner and didn't have a best friend to share such a thing with. My horse wasn't really interested.

What three things are you craving right now? Right now? I'd like a cupcake, a winning mega millions ticket, and to go home and go back to bed. I guess that's not really "craving" other than the cupcake.

paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. no thanks.

What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Pumpkin King or Noir, just to see what the fuss is about.

Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Nah. I would have said Beekeeping for Dummies if asked last week, but I already bought it.

Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Haven't even looked. I haven't been able to afford new Villainess or Arcana from the latest updates and am not really a huge Violette Market fan. Easier just not to look.

What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? Favorite type of wine is ice wine and tawney port (I think I already answered this somewhere.) With mead being my favorite really, although it's mead - not wine. Close enough!! I have tried to get more into wine and will work with my wine snob friends and do pairings with dinner or with fruit/cheese/bread/chocolate and I tend to like those, but I really just don't drink very often. I wish I could have more wine with "dinner" but since I work graveyard I can't have anything with dinner (breakfast?) and I don't feel like drinking a glass of wine when I get home at 8am. So I have it on special occasions. I have some lovely huckleberry mead that I've been saving. For staples I usually get Chaucers Mead, Warre's Warrior Special Reserve Port, Graham's "Six Grapes" Port, etc. mostly because these are plentiful and inexpensive. I can't remember which ice wines I buy, I would recognize the bottle. I usually buy from Costco or from the grocery store because, again, inexpensive. When I visit my friends in Portland who run Cocoa Velvet, I usually go along to the wine tastings that they participate in - they do pairings with their chocolate. The farmer's market has a booth with delightful spiced blackberry wine that I adore. I'd be up for trying something new, especially a new dessert wine.

Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I love the Vosges chocolate bunnehs (especially Naga but I haven't looked to see if they have that flavor this year, I can just get the candy bar after all.) Cadbury mini eggs!!! Starburst jelly beans.

What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Snake Oil! O. Most of my favs are LE anyway (sigh.) Usually the GC's I love are for more than just scent: Baku, GRR, Bitch, TAL's, etc. so it would be really bad if any of those were to disappear.

Are there decants that you wished you ordered but didn't? Things you wish you had ordered more of?
I haven't been able to afford Liliths yet, let alone Weenies or Yules... But I'm going to try to get Liliths before they go down. My wishlist is up to date with Weenies and Yules.

Are your Amazon, Etsy etc wishlists up to date?
They should be. Amazon has priority settings so please sort high to low; I wish we could do that with Etsy.

how do you feel about animated films?
I used to be way more into anime but I'm not really anymore. My son has stolen all of my Ranma 1/2 dvds. I still watch some disney and pixar movies occasionally. NMBC is love! I watch Coraline once a year or so. My current fave animated movies besides NMBC are Brave and How to Train Your Dragon.

Is there a book you've always meant to read, but never got round to it?
Sure, but I have them already. My amazon book wishlist is very up to date; the books I really want are marked as very high or high priority. I put lots of inexpensive kindle books on there too.

If you've expressed an interest in candles, do you prefer unscented or scented and if the latter, what scents?
Sorry, I've answered so many similar swap questions that I can't keep track of which is which anymore! I love beeswax pillars like the ones from Big Dipper Waxworks (not rolled beeswax, I prefer poured.) Candles with intent would be fine! I do prefer pillars over jars because wick placement is usually better in pillars. Scent wise I like things like Vanillas, spices (clove, cardamom, cinnamon in small amounts), woodsy, bayberry, smoky, incense, marshmallow, patchouli, resins, tobacco, lavender, geranium, sandalwood, rose, etc. and lean towards essential oil types of the scent. For example, I think the yankee candle lavender smells nothing like actual lavender. There are some candles on my etsy and amazon wish lists - there are some Witch City Wicks, Dark Candles, etc. that I have been lusting over but I can't justify spending monies on them.

Do you like windchimes or other similar tinkley noisemakers?
I would love some gargoyle windchimes. (I have some unicorn ones and some that I inherited from my grandmother. Most of the ones that I long after are probably too expensive.) I still kind of lust over a small gargoyle guardian bell (I think there is one on my amazon wishlist, they're meant to put on motorcycles.) If you were to find something cool like that, it would be great. I wouldn't say no to a tibetan singing bowl for my altar.

Do you/would you like Christmas/holiday music? If so, any particular genres or styles?
I already have a lot of Christmas holiday music from my favorite bands so no thank you.

Do you have a Goodreads? Is it useful for my stalking purposes?
I do have a goodreads but I don't think it would be useful for stalking purposes. My amazon would be more useful. (I like librarything better than goodreads but it still isn't completely updated because most of my books have been packed up for 15-20 years. Link is in my SW help.)

Are there any holiday movies or shows you would particularly love to get your hands on?
Maybe some of the nostalgic rudolph christmas animated movies? (Year without a Santa Claus)

Would you prefer your nourishment to be literal (i.e., actual food) or representative?
Totally up to you. Bath/body, food, whatever.

In terms of actual food, are you comfortable with homebaked goodies so long as potential allergens are not involved?
    yes!

Do you have favorite holiday foodstuffs?
Last year I received a homemade christmas pudding and it was SO GOOD. I need the recipe! And then I bought some sticky toffee pudding from World Market and that was delicious too.

Are you adverse to burning things as part of your sacrifice?
Would rather not unless it's meant to be burnt (incense, candles, paper.)

So how do you feel about teas? Would you be interested in getting some for your "nourishment" part of your gift? If so, are there particular companies you love or have always wanted to try? Special varieties you like- holiday blends, or decaf or solid standards like Earl Grey or Sencha?
I have so much tea it isn't funny. I wouldn't ever say no to Mariage Freres though.

And what about tea accoutrements, like rock sugar, nice honey (I have a fabulous apiary that is literally 6 blocks from my house!), a special spoon?
I always love locally sourced honey. I could use a really large (32oz) teavana perfectea maker.

Or maybe coffee is more your thing? And would you want your beans whole or ground (if ground, what grind do you like?)
I'm good on coffee I think, unless you have a super special blend you want to share with me. I usually prefer whole bean but I am not sure I'll be able to find my grinder or my french press. The only coffee maker in the house right now is my dad's keurig.

Scented candle lovers: do you have a favorite store/brand?
Indie companies are love. I'd love to try Witch City Wicks or Dark Candles (there are some on my bath / beauty / fragrance amazon wishlist for a hint of what kind of fragrances I like.) I just ordered a bunch of candles from Sihaya and Co. because she was having a secret menu sale so I finally get to try those. I was hoping to get some for swapping but they aren't guaranteed to be mailed until the middle of december. Oops.

Favorite/Least favorite bath products (e.g. do you like scrubs, bar soap, gel)?
    Favorites: shower gel, salt/oil scrubs
Least favorite: bar soap (because I make it and I have about 500 bars.)

No SLS or parabens, trying to avoid phthalates. My skin is uber dry from thyroid issues and also breaks out really easily.

What sounds are comforting for you? Any that bring up good memories?
Hoofbeats, saddle leather creaking, horse tails swishing, neighing. (Yes, I miss my horses.) I have lots of white noise generators on my phone and I use those to sleep when I'm away from home. At home I have a noisy air cleaner to provide white noise.

Do you like and use christmas/other celebration decorations, baubles and the like?
I used to buy a purple, iridescent, sparkly, or some kind of mystical creature (dragon, unicorn, grotesque) every year for my tree but haven't done that lately. My ex didn't really like having a real tree. I doubt we'll have a real tree this year either because I'm staying with my 70-something parents and they have a little fake tree that they like to put up. My mom already has all of the decorations she needs (and more.) I'm always sad that they don't have a fireplace - so no good place to hang stockings. (Yes, I still do a stocking for my kid who is almost 30 and for my parents, and they do one for me.) I have one of those aluminum trees with a disco light in storage somewhere with all of my Christmas decorations.

Would YOU like to receive a singing bowl?
    Yes!

Would you mind receiving a pre-loved book (one in good condition)?
I have a really hard time reading physical books because of my eyes. My contact prescription is too strong to read things. I do all of my reading on my ipad these days with either ibooks or the kindle app.

How do you feel about fruitcake, assuming that I can make it without any stated allergens?
We just made cherry almond fruitcake today! That's the only fruitcake I've ever had that I liked.

How about rum/whiskey/bourbon balls (these are no-cook, so the alcohol is still pretty potent)?
Heck yeah!! But I don't like walnuts.

What is your favorite store-bought holiday treat?
such a hard question. maybe the chocolate covered peppermint joe-joes from trader joes? I already bought a couple of boxes though and I had two boxes leftover from last year since R wasn't around to eat them all. (Amazing how much longer my treats last without someone else to eat them all.) I'm having a hard time thinking of winter holiday treats... I can think of valentine day treats (cupcake royale's "Death Cake") but the brain fog is blocking my thoughts right now. oh! I was going to buy some Sticky Toffee Pudding from World Market but they didn't have any so we might attempt to make our own this year. Most of the "store bought" stuff I used to get was from local bakeries/stores/grocery stores, I miss all of my Seattle stores.

Would you like me to attempt a small painting of your fur baby or to honor a former fur baby?  If so, can you provide a reference photo you like?
YESSSSS  I will have to think about reference photo.

I actually splurged and ordered some Liliths and Weenies.  Are there any decants you're interested in that you didn't order?
I think I ordered most of what I wanted!  But anything I didn't order is fair game!  (You can see what I ordered in the CNS thread.)

If you're up for knits or crochet, would you prefer washclothes, headbands, wrist cuffs, fingerless mitts, hats, or a shawlette (wear like scarf except not as long so can't wrap around your neck more than 1-2x.)  I could probably find a bunch of the above with moon motifs or for dogs/sneks/birbs/cats to wear.    (I made a wolfenoot bundle of patterns, will keep adding as I find cute things.)  (sneks are here-> https://www.ravelry.com/bundles/snek-hats)
I would love sooo many things!  I totally think Zuul and Bailey need unicorn snoods.

I'm getting more confident in my embroidery and I'm ready to try my hand at embroidery on clothing. Would you be interested in a hand embroidered scarf?
I'd love embroidery on a hankie or something to hang on the wall!!

are you interested in an advent calendar?  What kind?  (Dog cookie, tea, chocolate, etc.)
yesssss I love dog cookie ones (but I'll probably grab one from Trader Joes if they come out and I see one), Divine chocolate, Lindt chocolate, TEA (I'm thinking David's Tea and Bird & Blend or some fancy tea, so probably too spend for this swap.)

If I were to send a toy from one of my favorite critter toy sources, would you have any preferences? (squeaky/not, plush, chewy, etc.)
The dogs LOVE those latex (multipet globlet -- would try any of the latex ones from multipet) piggies (I have some on my amazon list ... and their big one got run over by the truck the other day when we were taking straw bales out to the pig/goat barn -- it make a HUGE pop and blew stuffing out.  Oops.)   Flat tough squeak, flat tough crinkle.   The accordian pig one looks fun but I have no idea what it's durability is.  The multipet are actually pretty durable.

Little Wolfies - Arcana has dropped Hallowitch stuff and a 15% off deal. Shout out if you see anything you'd love!
I would totally try Wolfling and Witches watch Sci-Fi Movies.

What are your favorite shops to buy fun things (treats, toys, clothes, whatever) for your fuzzy friends?
Mud Bay in Seattle area and surrounds are my favorite place for treats because 1) bulk 2) reasonably priced.  Unfortunately I only get over to that side usually once or twice a year so when I go, I have to stock way up and then keep the treats in sealed containers and hope they don't lose their freshness.  Right now we also have some dehydrated liver treats (the dogs LOVE love love LOVE these) and some seasonal treats from Trader Joes (maple bacon pumpkin or something crazy.)   Sometimes I get the liver on chewy, sometimes on amazon, just depends on where I can get the best deal.    I really like BarkBox but I can't afford it since no income, but every once in a while I'll just get ONE box for them if there is a good special.   I also used to hit up "Earth Pet" and "All the Best" in Seatown.  There are a couple of places here that are cute but they seem really expensive to me, so .. yeah, mostly google for what I want and go with best price.  Although Winco did have some super cute dog "costumes"  -- I totally want the FBI coat that they have for Miss Bailey of the Super Snoof.  She should totally be a working hound doing nosework and drug sniffing or something, she gets bored easily and then gets into trouble.  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too smart for her own good.  (Zuul is smart but is content to just snuggle and cling to me most of the time like a good velvet hippo.)

    Favorite tea brands and flavors?
This is in my questionnaire and on the bottom of my SW Help / Wishlist and also on my Amazon Beverages wishlist.

Would you want a watercolor of your pet? NO promises that it will be amazing- just wanted to ask in case you prefer a different pic for watercolor vs pain
Of course!!  I still haven't looked at fav photos tho.  I suck.

Dear wolfeloot, are you interested in a microwaveable bowl cozy?
I have lots but I can always use cute moon fabric!  Black with white moons, or blue/purple batik with white moons would be awesome.  (no gold or yellow please.)

Dear 'loot -- would you like a 2023 wall calendar (or other type?)   What kind?
Yes, I could use a wall calendar!!  I love all kinds!  I had a Lisa Frank one last year and I love snarky, pitbulls, friesians, whatever.  No animals pooping though please, kthx.

Are you interested in having any freshly dried apple crips?   (Golden Delicious and Fuji -- sliced, dried apples with nothing added.)
    I already have them, nom!

how culinarily adventurous would you say you are????
I love ethnic foods but I don't want to eat brains or bugs or whatever.  (also I am pretty picky about organic, non-gmo, no synthetic food color, etc.  I prefer my meat to be humanely raised.)

If you have cats, would you like some organic catnip harvested from my property and dried in our dehydrator?

    Questions here ->

    My answers:

Are there any currently available BPAL scents that you would love a bottle of?
After hearing a review of Hearts are Not Had as Gifts, I really want a bottle of that.  I also have more in my wishlist in my signature.

Is there anything you're eyeing from Paintbox Soapworks' winter update?
I love Streusel, Sorbetto, and wax melts.   The scents I'm interested in are Joulupukki and Schwarzwald.  Maybe Golden Orb.  I am still really wanting some Moonshadow as well but that wasn't part of the yule drop I don't think.  I have a wishlist pertaining to PBSW in my "Wishlist and Circular Swap Help" that is in my signature.

Would you like anything from Cellar Door (they do soaps and candles)?
I would love a Krampusnacht!  Bad Santa sounds amazing as well.

Anything of interest from Luvmilk? (Milky Monday, their version of Black Friday, is on 11/7!)
I have a huge luvmilk list in my wishlist/circular swap help in signature.

Crocheted Granny shawl. Yes or No? Preferred colors? (this one is pressing, I would need to start soon)
    No thank you!

BPal wax melts? I have TKO and Red Velvet Cake, Would bundle up a few for you to try of one, or both if you like.
TKO would be my preference but I rarely rarely rarely use wax melts, so would probably be wasted on me.

Are you interested in boozy homemade fruitcake?
I make a homemade fruitcake that is delicious, so I guess I could try yours!  I am picky about fruit and about nuts though... so maybe have ringleaders ask me with specific questions about what is in it.

How about booze itself, specifically, moonshine whiskey infused with spices and fruits?
    Small sample would be lovely!

Brown sugar shortbread? "Plain" buttery or flavored? Favorites include lavender and chocolate orange, but I could definitely do a holiday spice or peppermint batch or two.
Lavender and chocolate orange both sound amazing.  No peppermint.

Interested in anything from Odins Daughter?
Bath soaks sound lovely (all three sound good, but maybe especially banish because cloves.)
YULE and Winter Nights both sound amazing.  Candles / Mist.
    Two Faces of Hel candle!!
    BONFIRE melts!!

And tacking on to this question for others in reference to Em, I make infused vodkas! The one I am most proud of right now is a spiced hibiscus liqueur. I make this as a jelly, too. As far as the Liqueur, We have been making an autumn Moscow Mule with it, and the other day I made a Mai Tai! Its yummy!
I already have both the hibiscus liqueur and jelly from MsASofgg!   Would take any other infused vodkas!

If I can find the recipe, I want to make my grandmas Orange Slice Cake. Its a super yummy cake but a bit difficult to make as far as cutting up all the oranges. If you would like a mini cake IF I make it, lemme know!
As long as the coconut could be left out?  (I'm not really a fan of nuts in cake either.  It's a texture thing.)

I do molasses gingerbread cookies, as well as hot cocoa cookies, florentines and butterballs. Any of those sound good? OR homemade chocolate fudge? I can do peppermint, coffee or orange additions, with or without nuts.
Hello molasses gingerbread cookies!!   I'm good for almost any kind of cookies but do not love coffee flavored things and meh on peppermint.  I don't really like nuts or coconut or texture things in my baked goods.  Fudge I am kind of meh on unless it is penuche or a super special flavor (because we make SO much fudge, I'm totally burned out on it!)

My favorite incense store is Good Earth Mercantile, any interest for an incense from them?
I don't know much about them, if it is low smoke and they don't use phthalates or other things in their scents for the incense, then yesssss.   Orange patchouli!  Maybe Lilith?   I went through and added a bunch to my etsy altar/incense wishlist.

Are you a cotton candy fan? Would anything from Chocolate Storybook interest you?
I like cotton candy and I probably have things from this company already on my etsy snacks/tea/noms wishlist, haha!

Body Scrubs from CarolinaOrganicsSC are AHHHHMAZING! Any interest?
OMG their bath bombs are too cute!   And I love Stranger Things.  I would definitely try any of their items that match my scent profile in bath bombs, melts, candles, shampoo bars, body scrubs, maybe soap if their soap is spectacular as well.    The Dark Kiss bath bomb looks awesome (I wonder if they'll put their Halloween items on sale??)  Again, I didn't find a scent list and I'm not in a place right now where I can click on All The Things with my hand pain.

House of MetalWorks has super cute and dainty gold-filled stacking rings in my price range! If this interests you, include ring size!
I love silver colored dainty rings!  I am an 11 on almost all of my fingers except pinkies.

Several questionnaires mention joy in receiving homemade baked goods. What are your favorite holiday baked goods? Cookies, Cakes, Fudge? Other?
I love soft, chewy, and moist things, as opposed to hard/dry/cronchy.  Chewy molasses cookies are something that don't seem to be made at home.  I love a good medieval ginger brede (soft, sticky.)  And pumpkin gingerbread (like pumpkin bread.)   I would love to try things like butter pie (sweet, not the savory kind in England) but I'm sure that won't travel well.

I have an allergy to corn, so please no corn syrup or other corn products.  No artificial sweeteners.   No coconut.  (coconut sugar/oil/etc. is ok, I just don't like the texture of coconut.)  I try to do organic and non-gmo as much as possible.  Yep, I'm one of those weird people.  Sorry, not sorry.

(We make:  rum balls, krumkake, spritz cookies (usually flavored with rum or almond), chocolate chip cookies, fudge (chocolate), chocolate tiffin (usually with cherries/shortbread), cherry/almond/marzipan/pear/amaretto fruitcake, sugar cookies, scottish tablet, russian teacakes, princess buttercups, peanut butter cookies, snickerdoodles, cranberry bliss bar sbux dupe, flaky peanut brittle, chocolate topped butter toffee almond bark (like almond roca I guess, but flat?), ummmm brain has now shut down so I'll edit if I remember more of what we traditionally make.)  It sounds like we eat a lot of cookies/candy but we usually make them to give to neighbors and as care packages.   We also make (and eat) a lot of Lefse during the holidays.

Are you into peanut butter cookies? If yes, would you enjoy them with creamy or crunchy PB?
I prefer creamy -- I don't like cronchy texture in my baked goods.  (So no nuts in anything soft.)

I am thinking of making flavored sugar.
wtf, all of them.  I can use them on caramels and cookies.  (rose and lavender are my top, maybe lavender lemon.)

Would you like anything from Witch Baby Soap? (Make sure to check the Throwback Thursday section of the website; they bring back a few things every Thursday!)
I went through and added a bunch of things to my Amazon Universal wishlist (under bath/beauty/body)

Pickety witch has the yule offerings up, including Yule Cat pins (black or white) and ornaments.  Which do you love most?
YES YES YES the white Yule Cat pin.   There are so many there I want.

Do you like any specific roast more than another? Light? Dark? Medium? Breakfast Blend?
I pretty much only drink dark roast.  And I've got my grinder out, found one of my french presses, and also got some of the little keurig "my k-cup" things that you put your own coffee inside and I'm using it every day!  So bring on the whole beans!!   (I'm sad that Death Wise "Blue and Buried" and "Gingerdead" only come in ground, but I would absolutely take them that way.)

Haus of Gloi's Yule is up, fancy anything?
    Any of these!

Yule Body Powder: Long Winter's Nap
Yule Butter Bomb: Marshmallow World, Boughs of Holly
Yule Soy Candle: Turkish Delight, Three Treasures, Snow Wolf, Tannenbaum

Yule Bubbling Scrub, Yule Refresher Spray, Yule Soy Tart, Yule Whipped Soap, or Yule Sugar Exfoliant:
    Nefarious Gingerbread Man
    Turkish Delight
    Long Winter's Nap

Teeturtle has some adorable designs and their t-shirts often go on sale. Any designs that appeal?
I already have a bunch of teeturtle designs on my amazon universal wishlist (the clothing one) with sizes and everything.

Anything from the Lunacy You are eyeballing?
I was going to order but evidently I overspent on Wolfenoot, Krampus, and Yule cat -- oops!    I absolutely NEED:
    * Portrait of an Unidentified Man Dressed as a Skeleton
    * Schrodinger's Checkmark
