    have we seen the label for this year's Snow White?

    I just got my decant circle shipment in the mail yesterday; haven't had time to take photos yet. I'll take some and get them up soon!

     

    All of the yules (obviously not Nutcracker or Christmas Carol) that I received are the same label except, of course, for the perfume name. It's a beautiful design!

    Okay, I'm hoping you guys can help me out on this one.

    How do we know the difference between the picnic in arkham bottles and the original ones that were released as LE? I have a few that say picnic in arkham, but I also have one that's just like the arkham gc label, but without the picnic in arkham at the bottom. It's a glossy label though, so it doesn''t seem like it could be old enough to be the original. When they were first released to GC, was the picnic in arkham omitted, or did I somehow just score an original bottle of shub?

    Hope that makes sense, I can post pics if I need to.

    I have a bottle of Shub from 2009 that doesn't say Picnic in Arkham:

    I could look at Knows Perfume's stock when I'm there Sunday to see if theirs omits "Picnic in Arkham" or not?

    Hi everyone,

    I was wishing that there were an easy way to search on this forum for the scent information. For example, if you had a search bar and could type the name in, like "Blue Fire" and it would show that it is part of the Tiki collection... and it is GC and available at $x. Or it would show that it was available only through the forum, or is an LE from 2009... I get so mixed up on the BPAL official site when I am trying to find things and I never know in what section the scent is hiding... Any suggestions for you experts out there?

    I find myself using things like Lilith Victoria, Gladdener of all Hearts, Katrina Van Tassel, Hope, White Rose, Bitch, Grr, Victoriana Goth, Depraved, Ecstasy of True Love, Alhambra (Arcana), Black Cat (Heaven and Earth Essentials), Elizabeth's Blue Moon 2009, etc. for perfume.

     

    Sometimes I'll experiement with layering essential oils such as ylang ylang, lavender, rose, geranium, sandalwood, patchouli, jasmine, cedar, mandarin, neroli, frankincense, basil, rosemary, pine, spruce, vetiver etc. as those are supposed to be soothing or uplifting essential oils. Peppermint helps if I have a headache or am fatigued. There are more soothing/uplifting EO's (chamomile, lemon, etc.) that I'm not too fond of.

     

    When it's really bad I break out the Peace, White Light, Energy, Bastet's Laughter, Anthelion, Lionheart, etc. (depending on whim, sometimes I wear them all but in different places.)

     

    I use Baku on my pillow when I want to relax. (it seems to perform the same way as TKO for me but I like the smell better)

     

    At night I'll break out the Aveda tea as well (peppermint, basil, licorice, sweet fennel) -- very comforting and soothing, usually helps relax me enough so I can sleep.

    In the vial, this smells like wet stone, green with moss.

     

    On my skin? Leather and stone. I had to go read through the notes again because I don't remember leather being listed. Maybe it's the musk? But it's a dry, warm, sweet leather scent to my nose. A little smoky.

     

    Love it and was so happy to get frimped with a sample!!

    Question: Does anyone have the images from past LE Salon blends (or other past LEs that came with pictures)?

     

    I'm uploading pictures to ScentBase since Cam has made me an admin (probably seeing that I'm running full virgo mode on the website, adding stuff like whoa and bombarding her with e-mails every time I couldn't do something in normal user mode. :P).

    Poor Cam! ;) I did the same thing to her.

     

    I have photos on my bpal flickr gallery (and there are more photos on the BPAL Fiends Flickr group, but I wouldn't add them to ScentBase without their owners permission.) You can add any of mine to ScentBase.

    Thanks!

    I wish I wasn't so busy at night now -- I sat for many nights and put things into ScentBase (and entered all of the Black Helicopters and C2EC, Neverwhere, Irredemables, Witchblade, etc. today) and I wouldn't mind doing it for Perfoom too. But we're going to be superbusy at work until the beginning of August at least. O_o

    Not sure how I ended up with a bottle of this. I don't recall purchasing it.. It's an older label so maybe I got it as part of a lot. (My desktop computer at home is dead so I don't have access to my spreadsheet right now.)

     

    In the bottle: Jasmine!

     

    On my skin: Jasmine!

     

    There might be a hint of vanilla but to me this smells EXACTLY like the "Purple Jasmine" perfume that I still have a 5ml roller bottle of from The Body Scent which was a perfume/incense indie store in Seattle that used to be my favorite thing ever but has since closed down.

     

    I love this Jasmine. Love love love.

    I bought this bottle in January 2008 right before they were discontinued. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet!

     

    In the bottle and wet, this is a subtle wintergreen.

     

    As it drys down, the wintergreen recedes and I'm getting a beautiful woody floral with a bit of tang and a hint of snow note, yet it seems fuzzy and comforting. Very close to the skin.

    Does anyone have a photo of a Chaos Theory V Snake Oil series bottle? I have one, but there's no number on it and I can't figure out where the number is supposed to be if there is one. I'm hoping seeing a photo might help me figure out if I just got an oddly un-numbered one. Thanks!

    Since it has been 3 weeks and they still haven't shipped, yep I'm not happy I do understand that the products are hand made and take time to make but I do think that they should at 3 weeks let the customer know what the status is

     

    I never said a thing about CC NOW or anything about what date they put for shipping as I had previously read that they would report the ship date incorrectly, I did however call CCnow and ask them why they are billing the credit card prior to shipping as its illegal to do so.

     

    CCNOW preauthorizes immediately but that drops off after a few days. Once your item is actually "harvested", you get the real charge. Unless you're using PayPal through CCNOW which would take the money immediately AND which BPAL asks us not to do on the Shiny & New page (http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/new.html, right at the top.)

     

    If they spent all of their time contacting their HUGE customer base individually to let them know that their product is still being made, wouldn't that just make *everything* go more slowly? Or they'd have to hire someone SPECIFICALLY to do that one job.. and raise prices more. That's why we have the update threads on the forum... They usually are good about updating the "packed through" and "backordered" threads. If that doesn't work, you can always watch the CNS thread to see which dates are shipping and what the people ordered.

     

     

     

    BUT -- the reason I came in here --

     

    I am VERY unhappy with CCNOW right now. Last lunacy I got one "your security code is incorrect" e-mail and had to place my order again. This month I've had TWO. Same card that I always use. I always check very carefully to make sure all of my information is correct. So as it stands right now, CCNOW has preauthorized my account THREE TIMES for one order (the two that "failed" and the subsequent order which hasn't failed yet) so I'm missing 3x the money out of my account until the preauthorizations drop off. Which does take a few days. And I'm VERY poor until Friday.
