Like I say, I find it odd that this problem should strike so many of us at the same time, but I'll give it a go and see. OK. Am I dense? What the hell does that even mean? What does clearing your cache have to do with anything? Is this something they thought was a good idea for a day, then realized it is a bad idea and changed it back? Cuz that is the only way I can see cache-clearing as a fix. Oh, god, I am pissy tonight I, too, am bothered by this new restriction. Why would they think this is a good idea? ETA: I followed their instructions in both IE and Firefox and the limit is still there.

    Job Interview Recommendations

I just wanted to chime in here and strongly recommend TAL: Charisma. I wore it to a job interview on Thursday. The HR director interviewed me first and said they would let me know in a few days to a week. I was then interviewed by the manager of the department. My interview was at 11:00am until 12:30pm. At 4:00pm, I got a call offering me the job. Yay, Charisma!

    Job Interview Recommendations

I double-dog dare you to wear Caliph's Beloved I wore Brass Balls when I was meeting potential landlords. To me, it smells like some sort of ethnic food, but I can't figure out what. It helped me very much...I am painfully shy and terrified of landlords. I was able to ask questions, both positive and negative, as well as make small-talk without babbling like a nervous idiot. It also helped me say no to places that were not exactly what I wanted. I wore it where more well-endowed ladies would have cleavage. From your list, non-TAL, I would go with Men Ringing Bells with Penises. To me, it is very clean (ha!) and indiscreet. You can also have fun making up a name to tell your interviewer should he or she ask what you are wearing! And I just realized that your interview already happened What did you wear and how did it go?
  4. That actually sounds really nice I was scared off by the French florals, but if fruit is dominant, it should not be a problem. I can also see the appeal of heavier scents in summer to match the atmosphere I will have to test this.
  5. Bumping cuz, right now, the "real feel" temperature is 95 and humidity is at 56%. So far, my favorite hot weather scent is Parsifal. On me, the florals are light and submissive and the ozone is chilly. There is a hint of citrus, but not the flesh of the fruit...more the mist that comes from the skin when you cut into it. However, it is my Special Occasions scent and not something I want to wear every day. I've read through this thread and made some notes, but it's been dormant for over a year Anyone have any recs for newer blends? I'm mostly interested in things that are not super-minty.

    Parsifal

Parsifal is in my Top 5, so I will now gush I adore this blend. It is my special occasions perfume and the one I reach for when I want to feel elegant. In the bottle, it is sharp and sweet and clean. I am unable to pick out any individual notes, but the overall scent is lovely. On my skin, I can smell the ozone (I really amp ozone), yet the blend remains, well, blended. It does not morph at all and 12 hours later (!), I still smell it. Parsifal is the reason I am slightly obsessed with ozone. Since I found it, I have purchased 2 other floral ozone blends and several others that have ozone as a note. None come close to the awesomeness of Parsifal, though.

    Cathedral

This one surprised me. I was expecting something a little sweeter and smokier. In the bottle, it's dry and sharp and dusty. I smell wood and old books, no smoke. When it dries on my skin, I smell old wood and dusty books. There is a teensy bit of smoke that I keep catching fleeting wisps of, but it's more of a suggestion than anything. This reminds me of those old miniature Lane cedar chests. My grandma received one her senior year of high school (1930s) and this smells so much like it, it's eerie. I very much like this, but not on me.

Thanks, Morrighana and Suileach. I will chalk it up to crazy busy holiday weirdness.

    CCNow Questions & Problems

OK, I've read through the thread and I kinda found my answer, but not exactly. I ordered 12-12 (at, like, 3am) and my card was charged later that day. Payment cleared. All was well. I received my order 12-24 (woo!). Now my payment to the Lab is shown as "pending" in my bank account, as of 12-26. I read that you're charged once the Lab harvests the order to fill, but I received my order several days ago. I'm wondering if there was a delay because of the holidays? If there is some delay due to my bank being douche-y, I will be upset. I want the Lab to get my money as soon as possible. Is this something I should worry about? (I used CCNow, by the way)

    Long Night Moon

I waited for this to show up so it could be my first review. I was THAT positive I would love it and I am familiar with almost all of its notes, so I hopefully won't sound like an idiot. Because I am very, very good at sounding like an idiot. In my mind, wet Long Night Moon is glittery blue. When I first put it on my skin, I was a little worried since I got mostly a clean musk (can there be such a thing?) and tiny little hints of florals. I think musks are the notes that go soapy on me (it's something relatively common since 4 of the 10 scents I've tested lately have turned into something almost identical to Dove) and a CLEAN musk did not seem promising. Then it dried down into something positively awesome. I can smell the cereus which is SO FREAKING COOL because it is, by far, my favorite scent. I also get some honeysuckle and something sweetly herby. I am having a hard time picking out the different notes once dry...this is such a beautifully blended perfume. Two hours after applying, the honeysuckle comes to front, yet it is not cloying like the actual flower can be sometimes. It's like catching a whiff of the blooms while walking down the street late at night in October. Long Night Moon is beautiful....
