  1. imp: spicy florals. i'm certain there's cinnamon in here becasue it's burning my nose just like inferno does.

wet: cinnamony carnation. or jasmine. maybe lilac... lillies? and, as with inferno, my arm is on fire where the oil is seeping in.

dry: i'll settle on cinnamon jasmine. this smells pretty good but the cinnamon is burning me so badly i would never wear it again. too bad.

  2. imp: gingery, clovey fig. this smells so good!

wet: sweetish patchouli, i think i'm getting a hint of cypress and a nice dollop of fig.

dry: a sweetish pine-bark scent with some patchouli and light fig. this smells like my mother's old jewelry boxes where she kept her oils. very earthy.

  3. imp: amber, honey and vanilla. super-sweet smelling.

wet: this almost smells like it's got a bit of sandalwood in it... it's still amber and vanilla with a touch of honey. this is reminding me of super-strong honeyed amber incense chunks that i melt on charcoal. i feel almost tipsy sniffing my arm.

dry: to me, this still smells like warm amber with a swirl of sweetness. to my husband (who took one sniff of my arm and screwed up his face), this smells like "baby powder". he's got a point. :P

    (edited for spelling)

  4. imp: sweet honey, strong almond and creamy coconut with a nice after-breath of sandalwood.

wet: like a coconutty sandalwood. the other notes seems to have vanished under the bombardment of coconut. coconut usually lasts for a long time on me but this smells like coconut. like fresh, young coconut.

dry: oooohhh... a few florals have come out to tame the coconut rampage. this is a very nice blend.

  5. imp: like a cross between kumquats and grapefruit. more tangy than a kumquat but a bit more sweet than a grapefruit. very crisp!

wet: oh, now that smells more like yuzu. very strong yuzu with a slight sweetness in it (not likely the persimmon as that almost never smells sweet to me). i don't smell any other notes here.

dry: still citrusy. the yuzu is a bit less distinct, i'm imagining lemonade as seen through late summer sunshine.

  6. imp: sweet, spiced cherries. yum.

wet: kind of a woodsy, leafy cherry. there's a wet, spicy scent. moments later, the star anise pops into the scene. very striking blend.

dry: soft anise and antique woods. this has a very nice 'forgotten' feeling to it.

  7. imp: lavender. strong, soporific lavender.

wet: lavender. for me it's not so much the scent of lavender that makes me sleepy. i drink a lavender herbal infusion before bed that knocks me out. maybe i'll try them together tonight...

dry: lavender. are there any other notes here? all i'm getting is lavender.

  8. imp: a scent both sweet and bitter at once. i can't pick out any specific notes.

wet: zingy sweet at a small distance (almost bubblegum-sweet), but far more bitter upon closer sniff. it's almost a layered effect but all in one bottle. i think i would be in love if it were a bit more sweet, the bitterness is putting me off.

dry: the bitterness has gone, leaving only a tangy, sweet scent on my skin. almost like pez. interesting.

  9. imp: wet greenery. a crisp, cheerful scent.

wet: gah! roses. no, more like rose-scented guest soaps. which is to say: not roses at all, just that scent they use in soaps and call 'rose'.

dry: still that icky rose-scented-soap smell. i should have known: rose never seems to work out on me.

  10. imp: sage, patchouli and bergamot with a hint a sweetness.

wet: sweet, strong and almost bitter. i'm having trouble picking out specific notes. i've met other people who smell sublime while wearing this blend but it's not really working well for me.

dry: this took a long time to mellow out but now that it has... wow! this smells so good, like pink sunshine. a very happy scent.

  11. imp: dusty, dried fruits. i suppose these are the fig and date but it doesn't smell sweet at all.

wet: dried, crushed herbs with a lingering fruity scent. this reminds me of an attic where herbs have been hung up to dry and where you might find a few bushels of fruits and bins of dried goods.

dry: this goes a touch sweeter and reminds me of sweetish wine that's past it's prime and has that dusty, bitter smell. there's still that storage attic or root cellar scent about it which i find quite pleasing. odd to think of something so wholesome when i'm wearing a scent called 'gomorrah'.

  12. imp: sweet! strong honey and vanilla.

wet: there's a slight spiciness in the honey and vanilla but it doesn't quite smell like pepper or ginger. hard to say what it smells like.

dry: this is wonderful! the linen scent comes out in all it's crisp whiteness, i can smell spiced tea and a hint or sweetness. this is perfectly the scent from the description.

  13. imp: soft, grassy florals. very light, clean and crisp.

wet: fresh, sweet florals with tangy citrus. the cirtus is faint and bitter like blood oranges. very interesting contrast.

dry: there's almost a faint aquatic note with the grasses and florals. this so makes me feel like it's early srping and i'm out for a walk. quite lovely.

  14. imp: sweet, honeyed wood with lavender. this puts me in mind of a bee tree, dripping with honeycomb, surrounded by wild lavender.

wet: this smells like warm, honeyed amber with soft spicy notes. this is super sweet at first but mellows out to something more tame after a few minutes.

dry: rich honey and light herbs. this has an amazing scent that feels very comforting. beautiful.

  15. imp: ylang ylang with lillies. i don't think this test is going to go well...

wet: jasmine with ylang ylang and a hint of lillies. this is way too floral for me.

dry: jasmine and lillies and other brash florals. this blend is just not going to work on me.

  16. imp: bitter, sharp, spicy almond.

wet: i agree with lunaratu: this scent smells like licorice. not over-anisy or the mass-produced stuff, the kind of licorice you buy at specialty candy shops. this smells incredible!

dry: the vanilla come out a bit more, smelling sweet and dessert-like. i find myself thinking about almond poppyseed muffins...

  17. imp: whatever the 'dark woods' note is in this blend it's what i smell. the weirdest thing is that this scent smells almost exaclty like my kendo sensei. i've always told him he has a piney scent (which amuses him).

wet: a very crisp citrus pine. very masculine.

dry: a nice men's cologne scent. masculine scents aren't for me though, so i'm tossing this once onto my husband's imp pile.

  18. imp: neroil and bergamot. very strong, almost bitter.

wet: this smells like thick, soapy lather. to be sure it is good-smelling soap, but soap all the same. not quite what id' expect a succubus to smell like.

dry: i can pick out the clove a bit but the soapy scent lingers.

  19. imp: lots and lots of florals. i don't catch a hint of violet so let's hope this one works out on me (fingers crossed).

wet: the violet does rear up in this a bit but stays a bit subdued thanks to all the other florals. i still think the violet is ruining it for me. :P

dry: the violet faded a bit but i'm still catching it as a jarring note. i love the scent of violets so much, why can't it smell good on me?

  20. imp: clovey patchouli with fig. this is quite strong and slluring.

wet: urg. here comes the ylang ylang which always smells so awful to me. if only this did not have ylang ylang it would smell perfect. my skin seems to amplify this scent and i just loathe the scent of it.

dry: i still can't get past the ylang ylang. i just do not like the scent of it. too bad. i would have loved to have told someone that my perfume was 'hetairae'. oh well. other than that: the honeyed, clovey patchouli is gorgeous.

  21. imp: amber and sandalwood with a hint of musk.

wet: musky frankincense with orange (it's likely the bergamot i'm picking up). this reminds me of a less creamy version of snake oil.

dry: spicy amber. amber always has a long staying power on me and this one in particular seems to stay put for a good long while. very nice.
