    The Dormouse

Light, fresh floral. A light, sweet floral at first, then the teas start to appear. They are light and refreshing. This scent sparkles, like dew covered grass in the sunlight. I like this, it is not going to replace Alice as my favorite light floral, but I'm keeping the imp.

    Black Annis

Out of the imp, herby and dry. On, well... Not pleasant. I can join not able to wear civet club. It smells dirty on me, not pleasant earthy dirt either. Unwashed dirt, not good. For those that can get the scent from the imp, I salute you. This one is going in the swap pile.

    Danse Macabre

Dry, earthy and a bit sweet, out of the imp. On this becomes an earthy, woodsy scent, the oakmoss is warm and dry, the frankincense dry and resinous, the toasted hazelnut adds a subtle nutty sweetness. The cypress is lightly pineya nd a bit powdery, it balances the sweetness of the hazelnot nicely. Very lovely, a merry dance on the way to the grave.

    Kabuki

Very cherry. Sadly for this one I get cherry, and it is a sharp cherry cough drop cherry, not a yum, cherries. Off to the swap pile.

    Lady MacBeth

Syrupy tart-sweet wine. This is the first wine scent that I really get the wine. It is wonderful, the wine is deep and purple, there is a green fresh herbal here too, must be the thyme. And the currant and berries are tart, not sugary sweet. I like this a lot, it is a going to be a fantastic scent for the coming summer and early fall. And it just pushed Bordello out of the rop ten!

    The Hanging Gardens

Intensely floral at first, this ends up being the most changing scent I have tried. The floral is sharp and regal, I definitely smell the rose and gardenias. Next, it starts to soften into juicy fruits, they smell like you could reach out and pick them. In the last stages the trees make their appearence, they are the hardest to desribe, it is the smell of pruned fruit trees, sharp wood and sweet sap. As each stage changes you can smell it, the current stage mixes into the next one, like you are walking through the different levels of the gardens. It is glorious, and fresh, and regal... well you get the idea. Love it, I am keeping the imp, and updating the top ten list.

    Glitter

Mmm, sweet and bubbly from the imp. On this smells like bubblegum? Must be the lotus, as it dries down though, it becomes wonderful. The wine and pear come out, they smell absolutely divine. This is a hot summer night scent, it will be perfect for the coming season.

    Gomorrah

A sweet scent greets me out of the imp. On this is fruity and sweet, as it dries the herbs come out and add an earth note to the blend. I like this a lot, the fig is a very dry fruit to my nose, with the date and current it really brings a lot to this blend. And whatever the herbs are, they are fantastic, earthy and brown, is there patchouli in here? It is definitely a keeper. ETA: And it would have been a keeper, but my Mom has it now. She loved it and it was Mother's Day.

    Saturnalia

I was hoping for violet, but got a strong dose of vetiver. I like vetiver, in small doses, in this it is too much though, so off to swaps...

    Graveyard Dirt

Dirt. Fresh upturned, gardening in the sunlight after a rainshower, dirt.

    Dublin

Out of the imp... fruity pine. This smells fantastic. Green woods, sweet berries, light florals. It is a walk through a fairy forest. And the fae are hiding behind the trees and bushes waiting for you to pass, to come out and finish their celebration. It is wonderful, why did I get a imp, and not a bottle? (Where is the kicking myself smiley?)

    Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo

Fruity and sweet out of the imp. Hmmm, on it is... fruity and sweet. A very yummy fruit, and it is hard to be unhappy wearing it so it works for me. I love the dry down on this one, it is like fruit flavored cotton candy. And bubblegum. And all the other yummy pink candies. I think everlasting gobstoppers smell like this.

    Tiphareth

Woody, and a bit of a burnt herbal smell. This reminds me a bit of Penitence, but greener and much more dusty. I like this one, it really makes me feel grounded. Definitely a keeper.

    Dana O'Shee

Ginger-less Sudha Segara. This is all the yummy creamy milk and honey from Sudha Segara, without the ginger's lemony bite. I also smell the nuttiness of the grains in this scent. It is a comforting scent, and I can see where the "like Snow White" comes from, only it is a warmer scent. I like this one.

    Wings of Azrael

Violet candies, spicy myrrh, and spicy florals. I like this, the florals are very light, the myrrh is creamy and spicy. And violets are my friend, I always get violet candies from them. I don't know if I'll be going to get a 5ml, as it is very close to Faustus to me, and while I like this one, I love Faustus.

    O

Smells sweet in the imp. On it goes a bit powdery on me, amber does that to me sometimes. It is a sweet powder, not sugary sweet, honey sweet. The vanilla in this blend does not overwhelm, it is light and subtle, but I think that is because the amber takes over instead. Not a bad blend, but not high on the list of must haves.

    Dorian

Dorian doesn't like me. I had hopes for this vanilla scent, as many people say it is light on the vanilla, but for me. Vanilla. And I don't get mmm, vanilla, I always get screaming, headache inducing VANILLA! It does dry down to a splendid scent on me, but the wait is too much, so off it goes. ETA: Two plus years later I am trying it again. And now? Yummy. the vanilla is not too strong it smells wonderful. Sweet, vanilla-lemon tea, with a fantastic musky base.

    Yerevan

Sweet apricots. A very fruity blend on me, apricot is the strongest, but there is a tartness too, must be the pomegranate. There is some spice too, it gives a bit of a kick to the blend. I like this blend, but I love Fae , so it isn't going to be the fruity peach/apricot scent I reach for.
  19. Hellfire and The Red Queen= Hearth. Though it smells better. Maybe Bewitched for the fruity note with Dublin, for Skadi? Verdandi smells a lot like Samhain, maybe Hellfire, a drop of Jack, and it mixed would be even closer?

    Vicomte de Valmont

Rake, scoundrel, demon in a frock coat. Devilishly seductive, ultimately tragic; a villain undone and redeemed by love. Based on an 18th century gentlemen’s cologne: ambergris, white musk, white sandalwood, Spanish Moss, orange blossom, three mints, jasmine, rose geranium and a spike of rosemary. Very masculine, haughty, and sharp. This captures Valmont completely, someone who cares only for himself. It is a scoundrel in a bottle, haughty, villainous, and of course, devastatingly attractive. The mint is sharp and cool. The musk is deep, rich. The orange blossom and rosemary add a sharp citrus kick. I like this, not for me, but on a man it would smell wonderful. Too bad hubby likes the sweet scents. The 13 year old has asked if he can have it though, he says "it is very manly".

    Yggdrasil

Green herbal woods. This is interesting. It is green and sharp herbals, and dry woods. There is a light citrus, it reminds me of lemon balm. I can smell cedar, sandalwood, and oak, not sure what other woods are here. It dries down to a very soft scent, woody, herbal, and very green.
  22. Finny

    Coyote

Dry grass, very herbal. The musk and amber support the grass note, it is very fresh smelling. It smells dry and grassy, not like hay, it still has the green grass scent, the way grass smells in the dry heat of summer, when there hasn't been enough rain. I like this, it is dry and green, deep summer in a bottle.

    Skuld

In the imp, this smells like honey. On, I can smell the honey, but I also get a berry note, musk, and something very earthy. There is a sweet wood note here too, it really grounds the blend. The ylang-ylang is a good floral for me, it doesn't go crazy overpowering the blend or give me a headache. And in this blend it is very light, the honey brings out its sweetness. I like this, it will be wonderful this summer.

    Serpent's Kiss

Dragon's Blood. I love dragon's blood, I have been trying all the blends with it. Some are too floral, and some are just right. This one falls into the just right catgory. I love the way the vetiver mixes in this one, the spice adds a bit of a kick to the blend. It is sweet, herbal, with a whiff of spice. :00001651:

    Blood Countess

A very feminine Tintagel. I can smell a spicy, sweet floral. The floral is very light, I can pick out the lilac, the gardenia is very light and sweet. The rose is dry and light, it reminds me of the rose in Wolfsbane. The plum is juicy sweet and with the berry, they really balance the floral notes for me. The other notes drown out the opium, but as I wear it it does peek out toward the end and I get a bit a little whiff of smokiness. I was afraid of the floral notes in this, I am so glad I decided to give it a try. It is a well put together blend, and I really like it.
