    Aunt Caroline's Money Draw

This stuff is amazing. I used it in a ritual involving a green candle and about an hour after I had finished, my dad called and told me my federal tax return had arrived, which is money I had been needing badly. And, a scratch off lottery ticket won me $50! Definitely works. I can't say anything about the scent besides it smells metallic, but the efficacy is what counts.

    Greed

This is all patchouli on me. Not necessarily bad, just not what I thought it would be. No golden notes peeking out. Very woody. Unfortunately...off to swaps with this.

    Oberon

Oberon is a surprise hit with me. The orchid and white musk come out most prominently, but the patchouli is there grounding it underneath, making it more unisex and quite sexy. I can picture Oberon wearing this. This is actually what I wanted Fae to smell like, and is now my preferred faery scent. It's lovely.

    Antique Lace

I have been waiting to try this for ages, and just got it today. However, I don't love it as much as I wanted to. The vanilla is nice, but just nice. It's going a little plastic-y on my skin, unfortunately. Maybe a second try will improve it. Otherwise I still need to find my perfect BPAL vanilla. ETA: On second application, this is gorgeous. Just absolutely lovely. Perfect vanilla goodness. It makes me feel sweet and girly, and a bit old-fashioned. It's got great throw and lasts a long time. I think I just needed to wear it alone instead of with 4 other tester scents on my arms! A definite winner!

    Blood Countess

This is absolutely gorgeous. The black plum and opium play together wonderfully on my skin. The opium makes it smell almost like Maenad to me. It's fruity yet spicy, and the berries come out in the background. It's also very sexy, almost smelling like wine, but better. This is definitely big bottle worthy!

    Dee

Dee was the second oil I tried when I first got into BPAL a few years ago. I promptly labelled it "too masculine" for me and gave it away. I decided to try it again and I must say, it is lovely! The leather and woods are most prominent on my skin, but it does make me imagine a huge, dusty, well-loved library (and a very sexy librarian!) It is slightly masculine, but in a good way, with a slight sweetness from the tonka underneath. I really like it!

    Hermia

Pink pepper, golden amber, honeysuckle, and passion flower. This scent just says GIRL to me. A girly-girl, yes, but very lovely. The amber, honeysuckle and pink pepper work together very nicely, with the passion flower fading into the background and the pink pepper adding a nice bite to the sweetness. Time for a bottle! How I love thee, Hermia!

    Robin Goodfellow

Oh, Robin Goodfellow. I had such high hopes for you. I played Puck in high school, so I really wanted this scent to work on me. In the wet stage, it was perfect. Lots of heather and moss-covered wood, with a bit of ragwort and just the barest hint of musk in the background. I fell in love. Then it dried. The dark musk took over completely and my perfect scent was gone. dark musk! Everytime. I gave it to a friend who loves it more than me. :sigh:

    Fearful Pleasure

This is the most perfect autumn scent imaginable to me. It is the scent of sweet yet tangy cider, apples and oranges, with just a bit of firewood and chimney smoke in the background. It reminds me of family gatherings as a kid where we always drank hot cider and it made the whole house smell good. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. Backup bottles needed!

    Samhain

2008 version I wanted to love this, I really did! I tried the 2007 version as one of my first BPAL experiences and had to wash it off because the black patchouli was just too strong on me. I decided to try the 2008 version to see if there was a difference, but there wasn't. I can smell the apple, nutmeg and allspice trying to peek through, but the patchouli is beating them down and enough to be headache-inducing. Guess I'll keep Fearful Pleasure as my go-to autumn scent.
