  1. I did a search but I didn't come up with anything on this.

Does anyone know of bpal blends similar/dead on/sort of like Paloma Picasso perfume?

Notes (from my eau de toilette tester bottle):

    Top notes:

Bouquet floral aerien - Jasmin - Jacinthe - Rose - Muguet

    Core Notes:

Fruite Gourmand - Osmanthus - Peche - Iris - Mousse de chene

    Base Notes:

Boise doux - Santal - Patchouli

    Thank you!

  2. This one reminds me exactly a kind of sweet that is made in a limited area of my country: it's a "rose petals sweet" that you eat tiny portions of and drink lots of water afterwards.

Hope is exactly that sweet: rose and sugar. I may end up licking my wrist :P

A lovely smell, not sure though that I want to smell lickable at all hours :D

  3. A lovely spicy- citrusy blend.

I mostly get the cinnamon out of it, both in first sniff in the bottle and wet on my skin. I agree with the previous poster who said that it smells like the oranges spiked with clove that we do around Xmas time, it's exactly that smell that I was trying to place.

Unfortunately it doesn't have any throw on me. I put it on, I slather (not normal for me) and in less than an hour it has gone.

  4. Pls bear in mind that I am new to bpal.

So far I have tried the following rose scents:

Rose Moon : gorgeous roses, lots of them. I was unlucky enough to spill the entire hard-to-obtain LE bottle on my desk and on myself and the carpet at work. Everybody was "wow, what a lovely smell" or "thankfully it's a good smell, too". It still smells, even though right next day was the annual deep cleaning of office premises. My heart broke for this spill

2/5/7 : Lovely rose scent, but to my nose the predominant scent is something else, something boozy?, wine-y?, not the roses.

Rose Cross : I got this as a hopefull substitute of Rose Moon. It does not deserve to be a substitute for anything, it's a gorgeous blend of itself. Simple and elegant, the incense (?) balances out the rose beautifully.

Silentium Amoris (res.) : Maybe my favourite rose blend so far. It is not only roses, though.

Moon Rose: Lovely scent, very wearable (for me), I will be getting a 5ml soon. Again, though, the predominant note, to my nose, is not of rose, but of something a bit fresher.

La belle aus bois dormant : I love this too and is definitely in my 5ml wishlist. Rose-y yes, but I think it is listed with plumeria which is a very dominant note to me.

I can definitely see myself getting Mirror Mirror, I can't comment on them though, since I haven't tried them in any incarnation, yet (I am waiting for a few decants from this year's yule scents)

  5. All I got out of this blend was milk, sour milk. There was something boozy in there, too, but the milk note just hates me.

I admit that I didn't even try it on because I choked on the scent as I sniffed it in the bottle. Sadly it's not one for me, although I really did want to love this one. :P

  6. Chrysanthemum Moon, how I love thee... Let me count the ways. :D

I can't stop smelling myself when I put on this blend. It's warm and spicy and so absolutely very sexy B) I think that I can smell the chrysanthemum flower and something spicy (ginger? opium?). It's heady and soooo sensual a smell.

It makes me imagine of hamams and harems and ayahs pampering my body with massages and oils and hennaeing my hands and feet for the coming of the sultan at night... :P ;)

I am cherishing my imp and trying to collect bottles to hoard! :) :D

ETA: 6 9 bottles so far and one Aes Ustum filled up, I think. I LOVE this blend

  7. She, whose lover has been unfaithful. She lashes out in rage, and her heart is filled with fury: fiery saffron, neroli, severe black musk, rose otto, and a harsh splinter of rosemary.

Khandita smells like moth repellent on me, for the first hour at least :P :D
After a couple of hours, whatever it is that hates me so much, goes away and the scent dries down to something peppery/spicy and totally different to any scent I have ever worn. To me, this is an "angry" scent.

I am keeping the bottle I got, because I am collecting the Heroines.

  8. My first review and on a limited edition blend, too!

This is a smell I love, :P because it reminds me of the only perfume I was allowed to wear untill well after I had left school. [it was called White Linen.] An austere, not at all sexy, keep-your-hands-off-me kind of perfume. I am fine with that, there are days that expect exactly that of us, other days that need something "come-hither" and so on...

Numb is a scent to wear at work, in business situations, when one wants to go through the day un-noticed and yet still "there".

I don't know the notes in it, violets for sure but can't distinguish anything else. It's soapy and fresh when it dries down, a bit too intense on first application. I wish I had bought some more when I saw it on ebay, this is a definite keeper for me.
