Thick and sweet and reminiscent of pansies. Almost fruity, weirdly enough.
-
I get saltwater and sea breezes and driftwood and leather. Mmmm. I wasn't expecting this. This is less intrusive and headache inducing and much more wearable than Calico Jack, imo.

The roses lend a clean, light, crisp quality, and the orange blossom contributes a light, citrusy sweetness. The rosemary is faint but hovers around the edges of the other two to give a slightly grounding sort of effect. Overall it's a very unique, intriguing scent that combines the freshness of youth and the spicy tingle of magic.

Bien Loin D'Ici was a pleasant surprise. It's amazingly like a fruit and incense loaded O. It's not overwhelming, sharp, or headache inducing at all - just warm, soft, and inviting, while still maintaining something of a mysterious, exotic quality.

I'm not getting vetiver from Anathema. It's heavy and thick, slightly powdery, and soapy sharp florals. I think this might be a good 'evil woman' scent on the right chemistry, but on me it smells like bathroom cleaner. bah.

Ugh, this one is singularily the worst BPAL I have ever smelt. Vetiver is in some of my favorite blends and it smells nothing like this horrible burnt meat smell I'm getting from Saturnalia. And it's not just slightly burnt or smokey (I'm rather fond of slightly burnt foods lol) but rather like ingesting the hot charcoal of a hotdog. I wonder if it will get any better with age or if those fabled violets will show up later.

This smells like spiced apples and pine needles and yes, I can definately pinpoint the nutmeat. It reminds me of a cinnamon apple candle or a bag of potpourri.

The concept of this is very elegant, but my skin decided to turn Eos into a jasmine scent of doom. Don't get me wrong, it's super pretty and there's a faint sweetness below that must be the honeysuckle - this would be perfect for someone who loves Jasmine! I can't stand strong Jasmine, though, so this is a no go. sigh.

A salacious, lecherous, leering scent - dirty and dark, slapped with a wet sweetness. Earthy black patchouli swelling with apricot. Er. Apricot + patchouli doesn't smell like those individual notes. I'm not getting fruit or patchouli from this at all. The effect is rather like fresh cedar shavings. This is extremely similar to Tweedledum, imo. Fruit and patchouli conspire together. But it's a good union! I feel compelled to say that this evokes an image nothing like the description. It's not lecherous, leering, dirty, dark, or wet at all. It's dry and fresh, like a workshop filled with cuts of fresh wood. If I wanted to smell like cedar shavings I'd get a bottle.

In the imp: nail polish. On wrist: Fruit and something floral and spicy. There's almost something like clove in there. Not bad, but too sweet and cheery for my tastes.
-
I was expecting a darker scent, but Bordello is really light and fruity and cheery and candylike, like a Jolly Rancher.
-
Coffee and hazelnuts and buttercream. And there's an afternote that I think is the wood. This one conjures up the image of reading in a bookshop cafe for me. Haha.
-
This smells rather like a generic fruity body spritz, I'm not getting any berries.
-
This one is nice. Sweet sagey vanilla-y leather. Almost a smokey quality somehow.
-
There's a sharp note of champagne in here, but the strawberries aren't real, but candy. Captures the lightheaded sourness of being drunk and giggly quite well imo.

A carnivorous enchantress: diverse, lovely and graceful, emitting a sticky, glowing golden, sweet and terminally inviting scent. Its dew is believed to grant eternal beauty and longevity, and restore vitality and vigor to the magician. This is a pretty, very green floral that's not sickly sweet. It's rather nondescript to me though.

This is extremely gorgeous. It's it's in the scent family of Sudha Sigara, Shanghai, and Embalming Fluid, but ultimately crisper, whiter, clearer, than any of them. Love.
-
I don't get slush or snow with this one, but rather some kind of Christmas-y potporri.
-
Soft yet rather prim musk and florals with a sweet vanilla undertone. Ladylike. It's a rather pale scent, and the overall effect reminds me a lot of Mouse's Long and Sad Tale.

I can't identify most of the individual notes in this one but the Lab did a perfect job of capturing The Witch Queen. There's an initial sweetness to it that sort of pulls you in..but there's something really menacing lurking in the background....it comes out...and sure enough, she's holding the knife, about to lop out Yvaine's heart. I've been annoyed by some of the so called "evil" scents I've tried because they're just pathetic rosey incense pushovers masquerading as evil queens..but wow, this one is incredibly sinister.

Hahaha. I loved the member who called Tristan "sex in a field with leather pants." Very woodsy and green, almost a pine needle quality. Very masculine and adventurous. I'm usually on the fence about wearing so called "masculine" scents but this is so fresh and forest like it's not an issue at all. <3

I like this one a lot. Sparkly sharp white wine, greenery, not too sweet. There's a hint of dandelion in there, with an almost sticky quality, like dandelion sap.

The Nones of the Wild Fig, held on the 7th of July and celebrated only by women, is a festival of fertility honoring Juno Caprotina. Both goats and figs are sacred to Juno in this aspect, goats being notoriously randy, and figs being prolifically seedy. The milky sap of the fig tree also links to the concept of fertility, and to Juno as Mother Goddess. The scent is of goat’s milk, ripe fig, and a hint of sweet myrrh. Please note: no goats were milked in the process of creating this scent. It is an accord, and this scent is vegan. I saw goat's milk in the notes list and immediately ordered this scent. Goat's milk perfume - how perfect and wonderful. But now it's here on my wrist and what. is. wrong. with my stupid nose!! I can't smell the goat's milk at all. I love goat's milk. I know what it smells like. Slightly salty, pungent, creamy. But no!! I'm not even getting a HINT of goat's milk. All I'm getting is the fig, sweet and earthy but bland, and something slightly off that smells like burnt sugar and plastic. This is the horrible grating plastic note that I got from Obatala. Oh my god. Words cannot describe how disappointing this is. I think I'm going to go cry now.

In the bottle this smells sooo good, like crisp fresh juicy berries. But from the moment I put it on my skin, the berries disappeared. It went to a strong powdery musk + the sourness of orange blossom...then those backed off a bit and the honey and fig came out. Now the berry seems to be playing around the edges, but never comes to the forefront. I love the idea of this scent and can see how it would be gorgeous on the right chemistry..but cannot see myself wearing it at all. Sigh.

This one reminds me a lot of those sour smarties you get in the little roll up plastics. It's okay, but too bright and cheery and candyish...if Stinky was a color, it'd be neon or perhaps bright yellow. I was expecting it to smell like baby's skin, but it doesn't particularily smell like that...baby skin is softer, more neutral than this guy..Stinky has an almost fruity quality.
