  1. In the imp, this is light, clean, almost sweet.

On my skin, it's clean and crisp, but also warm somehow - really nice!

When it dries, it's very light, very clean - also slightly sweet and warm. I like it a lot!

  2. In the imp, I get lavender and musk.

On my skin, it's herbal and warm - the lavender and the mossy-ness of the fougere are most prominent.

When it's dry, it's very subtle - I never got any citrus; it's all lavender and moss. This one's not for me.

  3. In the imp, it's minty - almost overwhelmingly so.

On my skin, it's still strongly minty - maybe a little herbal.

When it dries, the musk comes out much more, with just a hint of the lavender - very subtle, all the mint is gone. I was scared, but it's surprisingly low-key.

  4. In the imp, this is sweet and spicy - delicious!

On my skin, I get the richness of the honey, and the spicy warmth of the clove and the ginger.

When it dries, it's so beautiful - the honey balances the spices SO WELL. I love this!!

  5. In the imp, this is surprisingly *bright* - not at all what I expected.

The vetiver comes out on my skin; that strange, sweet brightness is still present, along with just a hit of myrrh.

When it dries, it's surprisingly soft - velvety almost; all musk and myrrh. Not a keeper for me, but definitely appreciable.

  6. In the imp, this is just soft, sweet apple.

On my skin, I still get the apple, with just a hint of spiciness behind it from the dragon's blood.

When it's dry, it's a mild scent, but pretty - a good balance of the apple's sweetness, the DBR's soft spiciness, and the musk's warmth.

  7. In the bottle, this is lightly sweet-spicy - equally ginger-y and vanilla-y.

On my skin, it's really distinctive - very light, very sophisticated. This will so sound weird, but there's some very effervescent and almost cola-ish about this that I really like.

It settles way down when it's dry; the effervenscence is gone, but it's still lightly spicy-sweet - a good work-day perfume!

  8. In the bottle, I get rum right away - then pineapple.

On my skin, the sharpness of the pineapple and orange dominate, with the lushness of the passion fruit backing it up.

When it's dry, the beautiful, bright, soft blend of the fruits, with raspberry standing out - really nice, really sweet, surprisingly feminine. A great summer scent!

  9. In the bottle, I get a breath of sea air and lime - refreshing!

On my skin, the coppery tang of the blood comes out, but in a good way - still mainly salt, lime, and blood.

Whe it's dry, it calms down to a salty, woodsy blend - really amazing!

  10. In the bottle, I get sugar syrup, almond liquor, black cherry, and just a hint of mint - so delicious!!

On my skin, it's fruity and sweet - still almond and cherry, a hint of smokiness from the rum, a touch of the sharpness of the mint.

I really like this - it's a much more blended scent when dry. The smokiness of the rum has come way up, but the sweetness of the sugar and the fruitiness, and the citrus brightness and sharpness really balance it out - it all works really well together. Definitely a keeper!

  11. In the bottle, I get a caramel-y candy scent, no nuttiness at all - like the brittle of the peanut brittle, not the nuts.

On my skin, it's sweet, but not too sweet - the peanuts bring it down from that oh-God-too-sweet level. But's it all foody, all the time, no doubt about it.

When it dries, it's just nutty-sweety goodness - totally a winner!

  12. In the imp, I get the ylang ylang the most, with just a hint of neroli.

The sandalwood is the prominent note when it's on my skin, but it's very faint - hard to smell anything.

When it dries - wow - this is really well-balanced. I can definitely pick out the sandalwood, but having the one fruit, the one flower, and the one woodsy scent makes such an appealing blend and balanced. It's very subtle - very nice.

  13. I got this as a frimp, and my anal-retentive ways are forcing me to test it, even if I know that anything with patchouli is not my friend.

In the imp, this is all patchouli - a bad sign for me.

On my skin, it's a blend of the patchouli and the myrrh.

When it dries, it's still patchouli. I need to learn - if a scent has less than five notes, and one of them is patchouli, I need to steer clear. Sigh.

  14. In the imp, this smells like thick, plummy, wine.

On my skin, I get wine with a hint of plum - something sickly sweet.

When it dries, it's totally boozy, totally plummy - I had high hopes, but it's way too sweet for me.

  15. In the imp, this is sweet, almost caramelly.

On my skin, it gets a bit sharper - the alcohol comes through more, but it's still caramel, too.

When it dries, this is still strongly caramelly - with a hint of a tobacco-ness. Strange - nice, but not at all what I expected. This (along with Misk U) might be a good Pinched methadone, for when I can't get "the good stuff". :P

  16. In the imp, I get the strawberry leaf, and just a hint of grapefruit.

On my skin, there's just a hint of grapefruit, the strawberry leaf, and just the barest hint of the musk.

When it dries - mmm, this is nice. There's a mixture of the strawberry and grapefruit - the grapefruit is bright, and the strawberry is sweet, all backed by the warmth of the musk.

  17. In the imp, this is lemon, tea, and lilac - delicious!

On my skin, there's more lemon - it really envelops everything (which I love!).

When it dries, the cedar and the musk come up - just a little tea in the background. This is nice, but not for me.

  18. In the imp, this is cardamom, anise, and just a hint of mint.

On my skin, the wormwood comes out big time - I just get the lightest hint of lemon as well.

This wafted big time as it dried - it settles down to the licorice scent of the anise. I like this!

  19. Orgiastic mayhem in the extreme: sweet strawberry and orange blossom distorted by carnation, black poppy and hibiscus.

In the imp, this is almost bubble-gummy somehow - is it the strawberry? There's some carnation, as well.

On my skin, the fruitiness of the strawberry comes out a little more - with the poppy backing it up.

When it's dry, it's sweet - but also powder-y and sort of fake-y. Sad times; I really wanted to like this one.

  20. In the imp, this is a blend of the roses and the orange-y scents of the mandarin, bergamot, and neroli - there's a sense of layers.

On my skin, however, it's almost entirely jasmine - weird.

When it dries, it's mostly jasmine still, with a hint of musk - very subtle, but not for me.

  21. In the imp, the pine is the most prominent - there's also a sweetness I attribute to the vanilla.

On my skin, the juniper and the pine remind me of the scent of my backyard - I'm not really getting anything else.

When it dries, it's all pine, but with a softness that I'm assuming comes from the vanilla and amber - really nice.

  22. Dew-covered berries and fresh green grasses with a faint breath of spring flowers.

In the imp, this is fresh! I get mostly grass, with a hint of flowers.

On my skin, I'm getting all grass - very green, very clean, very bright.

When it dries, it's light, green - still all grass and flowers. It's nice, but not WOW.
